00:17one was always getting a migraine the other one was made into mulch
00:20here's your look at the mattel nasty universe movie origins class moss man and ram man
00:30inspired by the 2026 live action massive universe movie this two pack of action figures brings
00:35characters ram man and moss man into battle in the iconic motu origin style both are designed
00:40at 5.5 inch scale with 16 points of articulation i'm sure right now fisto is shaking his wondering
00:46what's going on right now with not being included as part of this set i actually kind of wonder that
00:50too considering really though that math like ram man and fisto play more of a role when they're
00:55kind of together than they do with moss man i feel like moss man probably if anything could have been
00:59sold separately with maybe some additional accessories either way though before we get a
01:03closer look at the two pack here first i'd like to thank also the folks over at mattel that were
01:06kind
01:07enough to provide this sample for how tall though the figures are going to be we're going to start
01:10with the tallest one first moss man while he's still intact stands at six inches in height that's
01:17going to in fact work out to be a figure that's about 15 and a half centimeters tall then on
01:21to
01:21ram man clearly is the smaller of the two ram man actually stacks up at only being about five and
01:26a
01:26quarter inches or about 13 and a half centimeters tall i think mattel were really using their heads
01:32by deciding to use some of the original body parts from both the origins ram man and the origins moss
01:37man although it's a little harder i think to see the stuff that's going on with moss man considering
01:41that the original origins figure had so much more flocking done than the movie and while we may not have
01:46seen a chronicles release of moss man we certainly did get a release of ram man because also i still
01:51feel
01:52bad that poor fisto gets left out of this i'm going to also bring in the chronicles fisto i hope
01:56then
01:56the crucial characters that have been left out of the mix are still going to eventually get an origins
02:00release i'm talking like machinac i'm talking also fisto those two characters definitely need to get
02:04origins releases in also the meantime here i can bring in some of the other origins offerings here's
02:10what the figure looks like with he-man uh putting roboto in the back that recently looked at man at
02:14arms and i know that this isn't really technically origins teela i don't have an origins teela yet but i
02:19still
02:19have the core some reused body parts aren't the only things that they share in common with the
02:24origins in fact actually their accessories are things that we've seen before i say that now
02:29unfortunately i can't find the axe that came in clue with my original origins ram man but it would
02:33have looked something like this just a little bit more of a lighter silver he does have circles more
02:39than he does have grips so you can go ahead and just actually take the axe there and just sort
02:43of
02:43dowel it inside of his finger grip there and ram man does have himself an axe as for moss man
02:49though moss man comes included with this accessory that we've actually seen several times in fact
02:53actually the origins moss man does actually have one that's already done in brown i also have myself
02:59a green version of it trying to remember actually which one the green came included with was it
03:05um i i don't even really want to guess i'm sure somebody could let me know down below in the
03:08comment section but yeah we've seen this weapon before not necessarily cast this time around in gunmetal
03:14gray like with ram man though you can take the the handle of what i'm guessing to be probably like
03:21a clubbing mace and that can also fit very very securely inside the grip of moss man maybe what
03:27we'll do first is let's look at ram and we're going to go ahead and just actually take the weapon
03:30out of his hand now i did say actually some of the body parts were used before so i'm going
03:35to bring
03:35back in the origins ram man so you kind of can see the differences now there is still a lot
03:39of
03:39extensive retooling that had to be done even like for example his tunic is very different than the
03:45original origins whereas like the original ram and would have had a flat bottom on the butt on the
03:49back of it this actually has more like a jagged triangular end to it uh shoulder pads are also
03:54very different from one another too if anything it probably would be easier for me to pinpoint the
03:58things that look like are shared the same between the two figures like for example the coiled legs
04:03those look to be the same other than really the fact that the movie version has a little bit more
04:07of a darker green arms do seem like they are exactly the same i would have guessed as well
04:12that the hands are also the same but the gauntlets are one thing that was changed a little bit
04:16different between the figures now i feel like you probably could still be able to pop the things off
04:20of these and swap them around in case you're also curious too you can also take the head off of
04:26this
04:26ram and put it on the body of this one instead before maybe we actually do any of that let's
04:31first look
04:32at the body head sculpt here that comes in clue with the movie ram and i really like the look
04:36of this
04:36one a lot i like also that the darker colors here give a chance to shine whereas maybe again like
04:41the original ram and tone the colors down and relied really more on like just very i don't want to
04:46say
04:46like a lighter silver paint well i guess essentially that really is what it is even like the chains for
04:50example are very different and more modernized on the newer movie release than on the original ram
04:55and i did say though that you can change out the heads technically this shoulder piece right here
05:01doesn't actually have a space because if you look at like the original oranges ram and you can see
05:06that there's a spot a set aside for the part of this helmet to go down into this one doesn't
05:11actually
05:11have it kind of more is closer to this helmet but if you did want to though you can just
05:15pop the head
05:17off it's a little harder to actually get it to pull out just pop that out and take your ram
05:23man head
05:24now it's going to be very apparent that obviously the colors aren't going to match between the two
05:28the moment you pop ram man's head and obviously first of all we have to kind of get these parts
05:33sticking out there we go there's one there's the other one i mean for for all intents and purposes
05:38it does actually fit there just really isn't enough allotted space right here so you're going to have
05:43to have these parts yeah they're going to get a little squished or you could try your best to kind
05:48of make sure that they're sticking out first before you put the helmet down and by that same also
05:53logic you could take the movie ram man and pop it into the torso of this one color wise obviously
05:58it isn't really going to match all that well we're dealing really with like a shinier gunmetal gray
06:03and then you're trying to put that on a more painted matte silver it probably really isn't going to work
06:07all that well let's just replace the heads put them back where we found them so again we'll just
06:12pop off ram man's head put back in movie ram man's head and put the figure down here we'll do
06:17the same
06:18here again like you can see there's a lot more space here doesn't really necessarily mean that
06:23ram man's head's going to move all that much better but at least though there's a space dedicated
06:26for it the original ram man the work the way that his gimmick worked was you could actually press it
06:32down and would lock in place you press it down again and it would spring up being that they would
06:38have used essentially the same style of body the movie ram man also does the same so you could push
06:43it down and pop it back up i found i struggled a little bit more to push these legs down
06:50i find i have
06:50an easier time pushing down the movie one so again like if you did really want to i guess in
06:56theory you
06:57really could swap the heads around and use this one as your stand as your regular really origins ram man
07:02colors again look really good on this guy i like that they've added some additional detailing done to
07:06the tunic here the belt is also very different from the original origins color wise though again he's
07:12a little bit more darker in color too like the gunmetal gray i think really does work exceptionally well
07:16in this figure it's not even really that it's a gunmetal gray either it's almost really like
07:20they've actually taken like a tarnished metal and added a little bit of green to it it's a really
07:25nice looking figure for the articulation though for new movie origins ram man the head's going to
07:29rotate back and forth and up and down but obviously there's only so much really that you can actually
07:34do with the head there's this much space to work with and the head you'll see is about really the
07:38same head again moves back and forth but only just a little bit up and down but only just a
07:42little bit
07:43the arms move forward and back and really the shoulders are going to get in the way preventing
07:47the arms from moving all the way around you can also hinge those arms out too there's a hinge in
07:53the in the forearm that can move back and forth same really again on this side too and you can
07:57also
07:57rotate these hands yes you can there is no waist swivel really however though you could technically turn
08:03the legs so while he can't really necessarily do anything here and he can't really do anything here
08:07you could at least replace that or stand in for the fact that you can also turn his leg and
08:13there's
08:13also a knee bent the original ram man had that too so it's all in all a really good looking
08:19figure i
08:19feel honestly like really between the two figures in the set i have more interest really in the more
08:23in the ram and i just really like the color scheme on him again taking sort of the initial core
08:29design
08:29of the original origins and just kind of improving upon it now let's have a look at moss man now
08:35with
08:36moss man i'll say this like really the bossing effect the flocking that they've done is really
08:40essentially only this area right here his head these parts of his arms the mid abdomen area and
08:47the lower legs don't actually have the flocking on it whereas the original origins and i say or
08:53original origins the original origins would have had the flocking in the arms would have had in the
08:56torso it would have had it in the beast man head legs feet essentially really everything on moss man
09:03does not smell like pine by the way uh everything though really on moss man is kind of other than
09:08really just really the joints everything was successfully flocked and i guess really the hands
09:13as well i guess for the play value of having this guy picked up and played by kids maybe they
09:18didn't
09:18want to spend as much time to put like flocking everywhere on him the arms though if you look at
09:24the
09:24arms on moss man and then you look at the one from the movie i feel like they're probably the
09:28same ones
09:30maybe though because like this one actually does have like a little lip of plastic right here
09:34this one has just a little faint trace of that but i think they're probably using a similar style of
09:38body i do actually think the face is really good on this it doesn't really blend color wise really
09:46to the flocking that that's like on the shoulder area but i think like a head sculpt's really good for
09:50what little we actually see of moss man in the movie trying my best not to really give anything away
09:54for those that haven't really yet seen the movie come on by now it's already on amazon prime i like
09:59also this loincloth i think the loincloth's handled extremely well too there's what seems to be like
10:04some sculpted in their chains i don't know if those are really supposed to be fangs maybe they are
10:09it's just a really cool looking loincloth i would love to see maybe this loincloth get used again
10:14now he does also have boots now this is rather a little bit different than what we normally get to
10:18see with moss man moss man really is fur all the way down to his furry feet yet this moss
10:22man does
10:23actually have boots instead of feet for the articulation on moss man is pretty much the same
10:28as every other origins figure so the head's going to rotate again back and forth you really can feel
10:33that with the way that the hair is sculpted on the back the additional chin beard that he has on
10:37the
10:37front that there's only really so much that you can actually do with moss man's head moves up and down
10:41but only again just a little bit and again really the same could be said for the front of his
10:45torso when
10:46it comes to turning that head around he has a waist swivel so there's still that the arms could really
10:51rotate all the way around they they do kind of feel like they get really stuck i've got actually
10:56there's hinge joints by the way on the insides there so you can actually move the arms just out
10:59a little bit but the one thing also too with these moss mans are always really prone to especially when
11:04you start to turn the arms that it starts in fact to wear away the flocking obviously this is a
11:10brand
11:10new figure it hasn't happened yet but you may be wanting to keep an eye on that no bicep swivel
11:14still
11:15the forearm swivel back and forth there's a hinge for the elbow hands rotate all the way around i also
11:19really think that they've done a nice job of like color grading it where you've got a gradient color
11:24scheme that goes from like this beige color so it kind of goes then into the forearm and then
11:28transitions really nicely into the green that then leads to the flocking really nice coloring on
11:33mattel's part legs split about about that far forward and back on the legs a little bit of a swivel
11:40there
11:40at the top of the thigh single hinge knee lower leg rotates the boot rotates too and there's also
11:45your ankle pivot and your ankle rocker back and forth still i don't understand why this set did
11:52not have like a fisto and a ram man just because again you always see the two of them really
11:56working
11:57together fighting together in the movie yet though we don't actually get a fisto release at least in
12:02the origin size so i'm just going to bring him back just because i kind of feel i liked fisto
12:06in the
12:06movie and of course uh with that too we also got ourselves i think in fact they were packaged together
12:11they were packaged together for the chronicles but they weren't packaged together for the origins
12:16and then again if you want to look to see what they look like with the original origins there's the
12:20origins ram man and of course moss man respectively likely though i'm sure people are picking this up
12:27would want to be displaying these also with the other origins masters movie figures that we've got too
12:31i know again tila tila really doesn't belong in the mix but just because again i don't have
12:35an origins tila yet i love the look of these figures i like too that they're also the size of
12:40what
12:41originally an origin size class would be given um i do feel like proportionally moss man may be a
12:46little longer than it seems like maybe like this one but i think it's also just the fact that we're
12:51also getting a moss man that doesn't have as much flocking as this one did they probably did it from
12:55a
12:55cost standpoint but even then just to say that it's not like really that they they they underwhelmed
13:02the figure by not delivering enough nearly enough of the flocking anywhere parts that don't actually have
13:06the flocking on mass man on moss man still i feel get delivered a very suitable enough paint job i
13:12think they've done a really good job on the paint job that even if this guy wasn't flocked in the
13:15first place the paint alone i think would have made this figure still a really nice piece on the shelf
13:20i would say certainly a very successful two-pack with the release here of ram and moss man still
13:26though i have to wonder why they chose not to include fisto ram and fisto they've already done it
13:30before with the chronicles why didn't they do the same here with the origins
13:34though i'm not disappointed necessarily that moss man was thrown into the mix as well
13:39moss man i feel would probably maybe be a figure that i don't know would he be difficult to sell
13:44on his own maybe because again like he's not really in the movie all that long that maybe it would
13:49have
13:49made better sense just to include him as part of the set with ram man and maybe have fisto maybe
13:54maybe fisto logically would be a smarter figure to sell separately you know though i'm also looking at
14:00this line and i think to myself if there ever is a chance that maybe mattel branches off and does
14:04like well they've they've already done really like collaborations with other like licenses if they
14:10ever really kind of get a chance to do something with like the universal monsters
14:14i mean i'm sure i can't be the only one that's looking at moss man thinking right away
14:18he's a perfect wolf man i mean in fact you could have fun flocking the fur not in green that
14:24time
14:24but instead in brown and just use essentially the face that erie has right now you could then
14:29mix and match the parts you could have wolf man parts and other people's bodies i think again if
14:34they ever wanted to do something fun with mattel and mass universe i think again branching off and
14:38doing something with maybe universal monsters even if they can't call it yes necessarily universal
14:43monsters even if they just called it motu monsters motu monsters and then you can use the moss man
14:48for a werewolf body big thank you again to the folks over at mattel that did provide the sample
14:53of the matthew universe movie 2026 and this was the origins ram man and moss man what do you guys
14:59think this set let me know down below in the comment section you also feel like maybe like moss man
15:03would be a perfect candidate oh for a wolf man motu figure yes please if you guys did enjoy this
