ONLY ONE ARTICLE REMAINS

The Senate impeachment court has accepted the House prosecution panel’s withdrawal of three of the four impeachment articles against Vice President Sara Duterte, leaving Article II, which contains allegations of unexplained wealth, as the only article to be adjudicated in the trial.

The ruling also raises legal questions about the implications of withdrawing the other articles, including the court’s decision to bar the revival of two of them during Duterte’s current term and the present 20th Congress.

What does this development mean for the impeachment proceedings, and what happens next? Join us on Beyond the Headlines as Atty. Glenn Chong examines the Senate court’s ruling, its legal implications, and the issues surrounding the remaining article.

Look Deeper. Think Better.

04:17And then, supposedly, the fourth, which is on bribery.
04:21So, what is your reaction about this, Attorney Glenn?
05:15We don't have that much money.
05:17It's a waste of dirt linens in front of the public, and after all, you're going to withdraw, and you
05:27leave it with only one.
05:28But actually, if we delve deeper, there are two possibilities why it's going to happen.
05:37And then, because I see your side, it looks like it's a waste of taxpayers' money, considering that days were
05:49spent on the first two impeachment articles, and then it turns out that they're of no use moving forward.
05:56But on the side of the prosecution, they also said that we're doing this because we wanted to streamline that
06:04process.
06:05What's your response?
06:37And then, you know, they went on the first one.
07:07And then, you know, they said,
07:31and they said,
07:31And they want to streamline it down.
07:36And then, you know, we're going to start the impeachment article.
07:40If you're really sure, you're going to do it.
07:41So, what did they do?
07:43They said, they said,
07:44and they said,
07:45and they said,
07:47and then after all,
07:51And then,
07:52and then,
07:54and by the way,
07:55now that you also refreshed me,
07:58that they could have streamlined it earlier,
08:01I will also have to agree with what you said,
08:04because if we refresh also our viewers,
08:07this went through the Justice Committee of the House,
08:10before it was elevated to the Senate.
08:13So, if they were truly convinced that they have a strong case,
08:17the three articles of impeachment,
08:20then they could have,
08:22if they thought it could be shortened with just one article,
08:26then they could have done that before it was elevated to the Senate,
08:29rather than spend 39 days,
08:32and then,
08:32oh, we're withdrawing it to streamline the process.
08:35Now, you've mentioned also about how this could also impact the public perception of the Vice President,
08:42because it seems like so many dirty linens that were washed in front of the public,
08:49and then the Vice President's defense could no longer be presented.
08:55What could happen also to the evidence and the testimonies relative to the two articles of impeachment that have been
09:04presented?
09:04Will they also be withdrawn, or they will just be retained as they were as part of the records of
09:13the proceedings?
09:15They will form part of the records of the proceedings.
09:19In as much as the withdrawal itself,
09:21the prosecution will form part of the proceedings.
09:25Because that's what happened.
09:27You can't excuse that from the records,
09:29because the witnesses were actually presented.
09:32That's one of the things that I want to point out.
09:34The other one is,
09:35the other one is,
09:36mamaya.
09:37Yung isang view na nakikita ko dyan is that,
09:40it is actually a demolition job against the Vice President.
09:45Ilaglag mo yung mga alleged witnesses, alleged evidence.
09:48Of course, the Vice President is entitled to answer those charges.
09:53And then,
09:54pagdating ng panahon,
09:55na siya na yung maglalatang ebidensya,
09:58they cut it short.
10:00Withdrawn lang namin.
10:01So wala lang opportunity ang Vice President
10:03to prove na mali yung sinasabi nila.
10:07Hindi tama yung sinasabi nila.
10:09You see,
10:10that's the demolition job.
10:11The other one is,
10:13and more likely,
10:14or ito talaga yung gusto nila,
10:17i-cut short nila yung proceedings
10:18kasi gusto nilang i-convict na.
10:20Hmm.
10:21Kaya,
10:22because it would take time.
10:24It would take time
10:25for the defense to present its evidence.
10:27Diba?
10:28I think they listed 90 witnesses.
10:3090 witnesses would stretch again
10:32from inang buwan na ba tayo?
10:34July, August, September, October.
10:35Aka.
10:36Pagsimula ka na.
10:37November, December, January, February.
10:40March.
10:41At the earliest,
10:42the decision would be April.
10:44So close already to the next election.
10:46Isang taon na lang,
10:47mag-i-election na.
10:48Hmm.
10:48So,
10:49that's why they want to
10:50abbreviate the proceedings.
10:52Cut it short.
10:53We throw mo yung tatlo,
10:54hindi na makapag-present
10:56si Iday Sara
10:57ng kanyang defense.
10:58Concentrate na lang sa isa.
11:00Tapos na sila sa presentation
11:01ng article on,
11:03ano ba yung article na yun,
11:05yung unexplained wealth.
11:06Hmm.
11:06So,
11:07si Vice President,
11:08mapapako yung defense niya doon
11:10na lang sa article
11:11on unexplained wealth.
11:12So,
11:13kung mag-start ng November,
11:15ayun na,
11:15yun ang gusto nila.
11:16By December,
11:17mayroon ng decision.
11:18Hmm.
11:18So, that's,
11:19these are the two things
11:21na gusto nilang mangyari.
11:22Hmm.
11:23Ipahiya ang Vice President
11:24publicly.
11:25Ilagdad-dating niya
11:26yung allegations na yan.
11:28Allegations lang
11:29because,
11:29hindi naman napatunay,
11:30hindi naman nakapag-present
11:31ng defense ang Vice President.
11:33Hmm.
11:33In-apprediate nila yung proceedings.
11:35Takat,
11:35mga laba,
11:37ma-shorten yung proceedings
11:40and they will,
11:41they will have her reboot.
11:43By December.
11:44Yun yung timetable nila eh.
11:45Hmm.
11:46Now, on the prosecution side also,
11:48and I'd like to get your thoughts also
11:50or your response about this.
11:52I've also heard, no,
11:54from the prosecution side,
11:55na,
11:56this is a normal course of action, though,
12:00even when there,
12:01when it is a criminal or a civil case, no,
12:06for things like this to happen.
12:09It's a normal thing.
12:11It's a normal thing.
12:11What is your response also about,
12:13uh, to this attorney?
12:15Well, actually,
12:17there's a court proceedings,
12:19whether that is criminal or civil,
12:21nangyayari talaga yan.
12:24um,
12:24I-withdraw ko na itong witnesses na ito,
12:25o i-withdraw ko yung charge na ito,
12:27concentrate na lang ako dito,
12:29to abbreviate the time.
12:30Now, in the case of Richard Santillian,
12:32yung personal aid ko,
12:33na,
12:34ah,
12:34pinatay ng mga polis,
12:36ah,
12:36ang ginawa ko,
12:38doon ako tumira sa bill hearing.
12:40Sa bill hearing,
12:41in-upload ko na,
12:43in-upload ko na lang,
12:44in-upload ko na lang ang witnesses ko.
12:45Pagdating sa bill royal,
12:47ah,
12:48ano na lang,
12:49ang,
12:49ang dipensya na lang ang maglidipensya,
12:51kasi tapos na ako sa bill hearing eh.
12:53Otherwise,
12:53mag-duplicate.
12:55Sa bill hearing,
12:56ipoprom ko to,
12:57ipoprom ko na naman dito sa prosecution.
12:59So,
13:00ah,
13:01na-catshot yung proceedings.
13:02Ganyan,
13:03marami namang tactics na,
13:04withdraw mo yung charge na to,
13:06withdraw mo yung witnesses na to,
13:08to limit the duration of the trial.
13:11But,
13:12you have to understand,
13:13that this is,
13:14a different case.
13:16Now,
13:17this involves a public official,
13:20who was duly elected by the people.
13:22Ako,
13:22I will stand by my word,
13:24my,
13:24my,
13:25ano,
13:25declaration,
13:26is the only legitimately highest,
13:29elected official of the land,
13:30kasi si Marcos,
13:31nandaya palagayan.
13:33In fact,
13:33hindi nga ako mapakulong-kulong doon sa aking sworn statement,
13:36dahil ang asawa niya mismo,
13:38si Lisa Marcos,
13:38ang nag-provide ng evidence sa akin,
13:40nadadayain nila yung election.
13:42So,
13:43you see,
13:43ito,
13:44pinapakita ko sa inyo,
13:45sa harap ng publiko,
13:46I have no fear,
13:47hindi ako takot,
13:48na,
13:49to accuse the,
13:50Mr. Marcos,
13:51I don't call him president,
13:53to accuse Mr. Marcos,
13:54of cheating the election,
13:55kasi ang asawa niya,
13:56ang nag-provide ng evidensya.
13:57At gumawa ako ng,
13:59ah,
13:59sword epidemic,
14:00ah,
14:01sinumpaan sa alaysay,
14:02sinumpaan ko yan,
14:03dilitalye ko yan.
14:05Oh,
14:05dalawang taon,
14:06tatong taon yan,
14:06nakababad sa publiko.
14:07Sinagot ba nila ako?
14:09Kinasuhan ba nila ako?
14:10Hindi.
14:10Because,
14:11totoo yung sinasabi ko.
14:13Now,
14:13here,
14:14si Ilday,
14:15hindi kasama yun sa daya,
14:16kasi,
14:16kilala ko itong mag-asawa na ito eh.
14:18I've worked with them for six years.
14:20Approvo, no?
14:21Walas lang bilay sa akin,
14:22kahit piso.
14:23Hindi nila sila mas sila yung daya.
14:25Si Ilday,
14:25nanalo on her own.
14:27So,
14:28imagine,
14:30ihinalal yan ang taong bayan.
14:32And,
14:32so many votes,
14:33mas mataas pa sa voto ni Marcos,
14:34at 32.2 million.
14:36Tapos,
14:37ito yung gagawin mo?
14:39Ito yung gagawin ng prosecution?
14:40That's not fair to her,
14:42and to the public who voted for her.
14:44Hindi yan.
14:45Because si Ilday,
14:46may mandato.
14:46May trust ng tao bayan.
14:48In fact,
14:48she continues to enjoy more trust,
14:50now,
14:51from the people than Mr. Marcos,
14:52and Mr. Marcos negative 11.
14:55Now,
14:56there are also observations,
14:58no,
14:58that,
15:00presiding officer,
15:01no,
15:01Senator Cheese Escudero,
15:03delivered his ruling
15:05roughly 30 minutes
15:07after the prosecution
15:08announced the withdrawal.
15:10The, uh,
15:11the spokesperson already said,
15:13nga,
15:13they have prepared several scenarios,
15:15that's why it did not take
15:16very long for the presiding officer
15:18to,
15:19to deliver his ruling.
15:20But what are your,
15:22what's your comment also about
15:23the timing, no?
15:26The timing of the,
15:28Kona,
15:2930 minutes lang,
15:30after the prosecution
15:31announced the withdrawal,
15:3230 minutes later,
15:33the presiding officer
15:34already has the ruling.
15:38Ah,
15:39ano yan?
15:39Ah,
15:40I suppose,
15:41meron naman silang stock.
15:42So yung mga stock nila,
15:43nagpikipira yan ng mga scenarios.
15:46Oh,
15:46actually,
15:47yung mga,
15:48yung mga ruling ni,
15:49ni Cheese Escudero,
15:51silusulat yun ng stock niya.
15:52Binabasa na lang niya eh.
15:54Ah.
15:54Binabasa na lang niya.
15:55Oo,
15:56kung makikita mo,
15:57nagpapasa siya doon sa kanya.
15:58O kundi,
15:59iPad yun o papel.
16:00Ah,
16:01they have already prepared
16:02that eventuality.
16:03So kung mag-withdraw,
16:04naka-prepare na yung stock.
16:05Ah.
16:05Ipapasa na lang sa kanya.
16:07So, you do not see anything unusual, no?
16:10On,
16:10on the immediate,
16:11uh, issuance of the ruling.
16:14Ah, no.
16:15Nothing, nothing unusual.
16:17Sige.
16:17Now,
16:18given,
16:19uh, this development,
16:20what do you think are the legal,
16:21options, man said,
16:22on the side of the defense
16:24or the parties
16:25who are disagreeing, no?
16:28With such withdrawal?
16:32Well,
16:33ah,
16:34the withdrawal is actually within the discretion of the prosecution.
16:37Ah.
16:37Hindi mo sila mapipili.
16:39Hindi mo sila mapipili.
16:40Hmm.
16:40So,
16:41ang-ang sa atin niyan is,
16:43we show to the public,
16:44we show to the public.
16:45Na ito yun, ah,
16:46itong withdrawal na ito was made in bad faith.
16:49After bad faith.
16:51Hmm.
16:51nilatag mo yung alleged evidence against the vice president,
16:54pero hindi mo siya pinakasagot.
16:56With the withdrawal.
16:57Yun yun eh.
16:58Ito yung akusasyon.
16:59Like,
16:59the prosecution is saying,
17:01ito yung akusasyon namin laban sa vice president.
17:03Hmm.
17:04Pag datilang panahon na kailangan na niyang suwagot,
17:06I think muna,
17:07shut up.
17:07We withdrew na namin yung allegation.
17:09We withdrew na namin yung charge.
17:11Ah, pero nalatag mo na.
17:14Narinig na ng tao pa.
17:15Nakita na ng tao pa.
17:16Kung anong,
17:16kung anong mga allegasyon ninyo.
17:19How you portray that.
17:20Example,
17:21yung,
17:24yung,
17:24may abogado nun si Divina Grasya yata yun eh.
17:28Hmm.
17:28Sinabi niya,
17:29one of the purposes, no?
17:30Kung ako yung abogado na defense,
17:32yung object ko kaagad yung purpose of the testimony.
17:36Kasi sinabi niya,
17:38ah,
17:39the AMLC director,
17:41yung si Papa,
17:42si Benaventura,
17:43will testify,
17:45ah,
17:46na tumanggap ng era,
17:47si vice president Sara Duterte sa kanyang account,
17:50mula sa isang alleged drug lord.
17:52Hmm.
17:52Kung ako ang abogado ng defense,
17:54yung object ko kaagad yun.
17:56Because the witness,
17:56si Benaventura is not competent to testify
17:59na the character of the person sending the money,
18:02is a drug lord.
18:04Hmm.
18:04Wala siyang kinalaman yung,
18:05he's not law enforcement.
18:07Hindi siya police,
18:08hindi siya NBI,
18:09hindi siya intelligence agency.
18:12Wala siya.
18:12Money lang ang kanya.
18:14So nakita niya,
18:14ang pera pumasok.
18:16Oh, that's the only extent of the testimony.
18:18Hindi ko may,
18:19sindi pwede yung mag-testify si Benaventura na,
18:22ah,
18:22ang nagpadala ng pera,
18:24alis drug lord, wala siya.
18:25He's incompetent to testify on that matter.
18:27Hmm.
18:27Bakit yun yung purpose nila?
18:29So kung ako yung defense,
18:30yung object ko yun,
18:31meron pa,
18:31marami pa doon.
18:32Sa purposes,
18:34ng offer of testimony ni Benaventura tabis,
18:38way objectionable.
18:40Hindi competent yung witness mag-testify.
18:42Pero hindi naman nila yun.
18:44Nakalusok sila.
18:45poika, ordinary yung tao ka.
18:48Nakikilig ka.
18:49Tumanggap si Ilgay ng pera mula sa alleged drug lord.
18:53Hmm.
18:54So,
18:54that makes her a drug lord as well.
18:56That makes her involved in drugs.
18:58Hmm.
18:58Which is very wrong.
18:59Which is very unjustified for her.
19:02Hmm.
19:02Kasi,
19:02the witness is not competent to testify
19:05about the character of the sender of the money.
19:09Kasi hindi naman siya a law enforcement.
19:11Hmm.
19:11Pero nakalusok sila.
19:13Kasi defense concentrated on
19:15the confidentiality
19:17of the information
19:19na hindi pwedeng i-testify.
19:21Hmm.
19:22And actually...
19:23So, yun yun.
19:24Yun yung kasi ng mga demolition jobs.
19:27Yun yung kasi ng mga demolition jobs
19:29na gusto kong i-highlight
19:30sa taong bayan
19:32na hindi makakasagot.
19:34Eh, pagdating ng panahon,
19:36sasagot si Ilgay.
19:36Sasabihin niya,
19:37hindi naman yun
19:38hindi naman yun competent to testify
19:40na drug lord yan eh.
19:43Pero wala na siyang opportunity
19:44na mag-testify,
19:46mag-depensa sa kanyang sarili.
19:48Kasi suminidlo na yung charges.
19:50Hmm.
19:51And actually,
19:52we covered this also
19:53on the previous episode, no?
19:55Kanyang episodes katong,
19:57when we talk about Article 4,
19:58which was grave threats,
19:59the arrows were already pointing like,
20:01okay, she commissioned somebody,
20:03but there was nobody presented, no?
20:05Who was actually commissioned.
20:07And then the next one was
20:09when we talk about Article 1,
20:11it also pointed,
20:13the arrow is pointing towards La Chica,
20:15and then for some reason,
20:17they did not also call La Chica
20:18to the witness stand.
20:19And now that you've also said
20:22about certain personalities,
20:24yes, there was Madriaga,
20:26which was supposed to be peddled
20:28as a credible witness,
20:29but again,
20:30not called to the witness stand.
20:32And now there's another character,
20:34Gracioso,
20:35who is also said to be a credible witness,
20:37but still not called to the witness stand.
20:39So now let's...
20:41In this, Darwin,
20:42Darwin, let me cut you short.
20:45Didn't you find it convenient
20:47to the point of being suspicious na
20:50na bakit may mga taong lumalabas
20:53at the juncture na
20:55nagpapatunay na yung prosecution
20:57di umano sa mga kasalaan
20:59ni Vice President Duterte,
21:00ni Vice President Sara Duterte,
21:02may bigang sisipot na tao
21:04na independent of the impeachment
21:07na mag-aakusa sa kanya.
21:09You see?
21:11I find it very highly suspicious.
21:14Now the other thing also,
21:17because on the side of the prosecution,
21:19they said that this particular ongoing hearing
21:24specific to unexplained wealth,
21:26this is already the strongest
21:27and they're banking on the testimony
21:30of forensic analyst
21:32or forensic specialist
21:33attorney Alexander Alex Cabrera.
21:36Having followed the proceedings so far,
21:39attorney, what's your overall assessment, no?
21:42On the Vice President's alleged unexplained wealth
21:46based on his testimony?
21:50Actually, hindi ko siya nasundan ng maayos.
21:53I just read sa news,
21:56sa digital news about yung testimony niya.
21:59Di ba?
22:00Ang gist naman na kanya testimony,
22:02there's 817 million
22:04that's unexplained wealth
22:05ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
22:08But, I am not convinced.
22:11Frankly, hindi ako convinced
22:12sino kay Cabrera
22:13doon sa 817 million niya
22:15na unexplained wealth ni Indy.
22:17Because you see,
22:18sabi niya, pinagbabasihan niya
22:20yung mga transactions ng AMLC
22:23na binigay ng AMLC.
22:24First.
22:25First pala.
22:27It was procured by Chel Jokno.
22:30Prosecutor.
22:31Di ba?
22:31Ang prosecutor
22:32and then reached out sa kanya
22:33to testify.
22:35Now, sabi niya,
22:38based daw sa AMLC records,
22:40but kung makikita ninyo
22:43at nakatandaan ninyo
22:44mga kapambayan,
22:45nakikita nyo doon
22:46mga inter-account
22:47inter-account transfers yun.
22:50Nag-withdraw ng 8.75 million dito.
22:53Di deposit sa kabila,
22:548.75 million.
22:56So, yun ang sinabi ko
22:58noon noon pa
22:59na nag-hearing pa ito
23:01sa House of Representatives.
23:02Malamang hindi yan.
23:04Mga inter-account transfers yan.
23:06And which is valid.
23:07Kung checking account ito,
23:10mababa na yung balance mo.
23:12Kung hakas kabila,
23:13limit mo dito
23:13para hindi umuntul yung checking.
23:15Di ba?
23:16Ganun naman yun.
23:17That's ordinary business.
23:19Ordinary transaction.
23:20But because the amounts
23:21involved are big,
23:22siyempre,
23:23yung totality
23:24of the transactions,
23:26lulo mo talaga.
23:27But actually,
23:28it's the same money
23:29na lilipat-lipat mo lang sa account.
23:32Nakita ko yun.
23:33May report yung inquirer yata.
23:36Iniisa-isa yan.
23:37Nakita ko,
23:38puro inter-account,
23:39inter-bank account transfers.
23:41Inter-bank account transfers
23:42from one bank to the other,
23:44from one account to the other.
23:45So,
23:47hindi yun actually
23:49perang pumapasok
23:50na bagong pera
23:51all the time.
23:52It's all money
23:53transferred to another account.
23:55So,
23:56siyempre,
23:56lulo mo yung transaction
23:57kasi in-add-up nila eh.
23:59Yung 8.5 billion dito
24:01sa account A,
24:02nilipat sa account B,
24:03the money is still
24:058.5 million
24:06pero sa transaction
24:07ni AMLC,
24:0817 million na yun.
24:10Yun ang ibig kong sabihin.
24:12Lumogo
24:13kasi in-add-up nila
24:14but it's only
24:15the same money.
24:17Again,
24:17example,
24:1810 million.
24:19Nilipat mo
24:20from A to B to C.
24:22So,
24:2310 million lang yan.
24:24Darwin,
24:24mga kababayan,
24:2510 million lang yan.
24:26Tatlong beses mo nilipat.
24:27Pero,
24:28pagdating sa AMLC,
24:29tatlong beses din nila in-add-up.
24:31So,
24:31naging 30 million na.
24:33So, yung 30 million,
24:34that's false.
24:35That's wrong.
24:36Kasi 10 million
24:37na original na pera
24:39ulumaan ng inter-account transfers,
24:41inter-bank account transfers.
24:44So,
24:45ang pera maliit pa rin.
24:47So, that's why
24:48I am not convinced
24:49na yung 817 million
24:51na sinasabi ni Cabrera
24:52ng unexplained wealth
24:53is totoo.
24:54Hindi, totoo.
24:55In fact,
24:56meron din siyang sinabi
24:57about credit cards.
24:58Diba?
24:58Meron siyang sinabi
24:59about credit cards.
25:01Unusual transactions.
25:03Actually,
25:03na-explain niya
25:04ng spokesperson yata
25:06ni Vice President.
25:06Yes, I saw that.
25:09It's for a basketball.
25:10So, there's nothing unusual.
25:12At least,
25:13ito.
25:14Plinag niya yun
25:15as unusual credit card transactions.
25:18But I don't really find it unusual.
25:20Kung bibili ka ng sapatos sa Nike,
25:23kung yung sapatos is,
25:26meron mga sapatos yun
25:27na tag-100,000 eh.
25:29Yung collector's edition,
25:31meron yan.
25:32So, isang transaction,
25:34100,000,
25:34it's not unusual.
25:36Not na-exprime yun
25:37ng spokesperson
25:39ni Vice President
25:40Sarah Duteri.
25:41Now,
25:42mayroon pa bang unusual doon?
25:44Wala.
25:45Walang unusual.
25:46So, mali si Cabrera on that point.
25:49So, kung nagkamali siya,
25:50what?
25:50It is not impossible
25:52na nagkamali din siya
25:53sa kabila niyang competition.
25:55So, I think if I'm going to,
25:57at least as an everyday person
25:58looking at the pattern,
26:00the arrow is now pointing again, no?
26:02For the prosecution
26:04to actually establish
26:06that these are
26:08unlawfully acquired money.
26:10And for now, no?
26:11It's still not established.
26:13So, I'm also curious
26:14about how this could unfold
26:15because the arrow is already,
26:17once again,
26:18pointing in that direction.
26:20And I'm curious
26:21if this time,
26:22they will take that arrow, no?
26:24And actually own it.
26:25Now, let's…
26:26Definitely, Darwin.
26:28Definitely.
26:29They're not going to take it.
26:30They're not going to prove it further
26:32than where the arrow is pointing.
26:34Alam mo ba ki?
26:35They already arrested their case.
26:37They're already going to make
26:38a formal offer of evidence.
26:39The formal offer of evidence
26:41comes after
26:42you present an evidensya.
26:44It's just one thing.
26:45Formal offer of evidence.
26:47Exhibit A.
26:48Purpose.
26:49Exhibit B.
26:50Purpose.
26:51Like that.
26:52So, subject
26:53that's the comment
26:54of defense.
26:56Defense.
26:57So, they have already
26:58arrested their case.
26:59They're not going to be able to
27:00that.
27:01They're going to period
27:02at Cabrera.
27:03They thought
27:04that they were going to
27:06take a look.
27:07Now, let's talk about
27:07the shifting power dynamics
27:10also in the Senate.
27:12Because after our conversation,
27:15there was really a change
27:17in terms of the voting threshold.
27:19And one of the significant
27:21factors to that change
27:23is when Senator Mark Billiard
27:25voted in favor of revising
27:27the interpretation
27:28of the conviction threshold.
27:30And as we also know,
27:32incidentally,
27:33Mark Billiard
27:34or the Billiards
27:35in general
27:37are also being
27:41not really threatened,
27:42but there's a perception
27:43of being harassed.
27:45And if we recall,
27:47the same situation
27:48seemed to have appeared
27:49for Senator Joel Billioneva
27:51and Senator Cheese Escudero.
27:53But the moment they move
27:54into the majority,
27:56the...
27:56Nawala.
27:57Nawala rin, no?
27:58But for those
27:59in the minority
28:00who actually stood their ground,
28:03cases have been filed
28:04one after the other.
28:06So what are your thoughts
28:07about this pattern,
28:09Attorney Glenn?
28:11The pattern is very evident.
28:13The pattern is very...
28:15Malinaw naman yun.
28:17Unang-una, ito ka.
28:19Si Cheese Escudero.
28:20He was supposed to be
28:21charged also
28:23involving flood control.
28:26Bumaligtad.
28:26Matchmate sila ni Jinggoy, supposedly.
28:29Oo.
28:30Oo.
28:30Sige, yes.
28:31Matchmate sila.
28:32Si Joel Billioneva,
28:34pareho rin.
28:34Ang kalagayan.
28:36Lumipat,
28:37nalusaw yung kaso nila.
28:39Malinaw yun.
28:40Nalusaw yung kaso nila.
28:41On the other hand,
28:43yung matibay na nalindigan
28:45para kaya Inday,
28:46si Jinggoy
28:47at si Senator Marculeta,
28:49kinulong.
28:51Kinulong sila.
28:52Hindi sila...
28:53Hindi sila...
28:54Hindi sila pinalagpas.
28:54Ito naman ngayon.
28:56Si Loren de Garda.
28:58Diba?
28:58Isa pa ito.
28:59Si Loren de Garda.
29:01Inahabol siya
29:01at ang kanyang kalakas niya.
29:03They're threatening
29:04to plot their charges against her.
29:07And ito nga,
29:08nagpapahihwating
29:09na makalumipat sa majority.
29:11Si Billiara,
29:12lumipat sa majority
29:13dahil inipit na yung kanyang pamilya,
29:15yung kanilang limosyo.
29:17So...
29:18Ano pa bang?
29:19What else?
29:20Andyan pa si Robin.
29:21May kaso si Robin
29:22sa Department of Justice.
29:24Pero hindi pa nalusaw si Robin.
29:27So...
29:28Anong ibig sabihin doon mga kababayan?
29:30Malinaw naman yun sa atin lahat.
29:32It does not require a rocket science.
29:34It does not require rocket science
29:36to be able to sift through these facts
29:39and make a conclusion
29:40na ito ay political...
29:47Most politically motivated,
29:50pangmikipit, harassment
29:51to remove Indai Sara
29:53from the 2028 presidential elections.
29:58Tatanggalin nila yung...
30:00Kasi ngayon,
30:01kung titignan ninyo,
30:02tignan, imagine ninyo mga kababayan.
30:03Darwin, imagine nyo po.
30:05Timbangan.
30:05Dalawang scale yan.
30:06The other scale is Marcos.
30:09The other scale is Indai Sara.
30:11So...
30:12The best way to deal with her
30:14is tanggalin mo
30:16para kontrolado mo na ang lahat.
30:18And I would not...
30:20That's not really perfect
30:22kay Lisa Marcos.
30:24Tandaan ninyo,
30:25anim na taon ako nagtrabaho dyan
30:27sa mga kasawa na yan.
30:29Pro bono,
30:30wala silang pinayad sa akin.
30:31Kilala ko yung patatao nila.
30:32Actually,
30:33si Lisa Marcos
30:34is the power behind everything.
30:37Siya yung nagmama ni Obra.
30:39Actually,
30:41ito, malinaw to.
30:41Paulit-ulit ko itong sinabi
30:43pero hindi ko patutin italye.
30:45Milani Obra ni Lisa Marcos
30:47ang Korte Suprema.
30:49I know that.
30:50Personal knowledge ko yun.
30:53Nagdoon ako.
30:54Alam ko yan.
30:55Pero hindi ko patutin italye.
30:58Time will come.
30:59Ilalabas din yung italye about this.
31:02Noong pala na nagprotesta pa lang sila
31:04sa eleksyon
31:07kung saan tinalo sila ni Lenny Robredo.
31:09Honestly, I believe
31:10dinaya sila ni Lenny Robredo.
31:13So, noong pala
31:14nagpa-plano na si Lisa Marcos
31:15to capture state power
31:17and hold on to it for as long as she can.
31:20So, imagine pati Korte Suprema
31:23dinalasubas niya
31:24para lang makaupo si Marcos
31:26as vice president
31:27at ma-insure na vice president siya
31:29sa 2022.
31:31So, doon pala
31:33umabot sa 2022 presidential elections.
31:36Anong ginawa ni Lisa?
31:38Napikipagkonsaba sa smartmatic
31:40to make sure panalo
31:41ang kanyang asawa
31:42at ang kanila nila.
31:43And now, ngayon,
31:45ito, pangatlo na to.
31:47Tatanggalin ni Liz Inday
31:48para ma-control nila.
31:50Ang susunod nito,
31:51pabaguhin nila yung Constitution
31:53that's very likely
31:54nilulusot nila.
31:56Kaya nakalusot na sila Darwin doon
31:57sa rewriting of the Constitution
31:59through the voting threshold.
32:01Nakalusot sila doon.
32:03So, ilulusot nila yan.
32:04Isang termino si Marcos.
32:05Tapos next,
32:06ang anak na naman
32:07ang mag-presidente
32:08until 2040.
32:09So, 18 years na mag-ahari-aharian
32:12si Lisa Marcos sa ating lahat.
32:14So, that's the scenario
32:15we are all facing.
32:17And speaking of the Supreme Court,
32:19our last conversation was
32:20when a petition was filed.
32:23But now, we know that the Supreme Court
32:25dismissed the petitions,
32:27challenging the lower voting threshold
32:30on procedural grounds.
32:33So, for the benefit of our viewers,
32:34at least we can have a better understanding,
32:37especially the non-lawyers.
32:39Like me.
32:40Does that mean that the court has ruled
32:42on the constitutionality
32:44of the new threshold?
32:46Or has that question still remained unresolved?
32:51The court has not ruled
32:53on the constitutionality
32:55of the actions of the Senators.
32:57Ang rason
32:59na dinismiss nila yung petition
33:01ni former Executive Secretary
33:03Victor Rodriguez
33:04sa iyong naunang nag-pile,
33:07di ba?
33:07Kasama ko yan sa iisug eh.
33:09So, alam ko, nag-pile siya.
33:11Unexpected namin na i-dismiss
33:13ng Supreme Court yun
33:14on very flimsy ground.
33:17Una, loco-standing.
33:19Loco-standing meaning
33:20kasi wala siyang standing to so.
33:23Hindi ka ang,
33:24well, loco-standing,
33:26ibig sabihin standing to so.
33:27So, you must be a real party in interest
33:30in order to institute that petition,
33:33that action.
33:34So, wala siyang standing.
33:36How can,
33:38ito yung,
33:39ito yung,
33:40ito yung gusto ko yung paabot sa Supreme Court.
33:41The question is constitutional issue.
33:44Any citizen taxpayer
33:45can raise the question
33:48before the Supreme Court.
33:50O, bakit ngayon?
33:51I don't believe
33:52na walang loco-standing
33:53ang taxpayer
33:54ang citizen
33:55to question
33:56a constitutional issue.
33:59And that question
34:00is only right for actualization.
34:02Kasi,
34:03nangyari na yun eh.
34:04Ginawa na nila yun eh.
34:05Pangalawa,
34:07sabi ng Supreme Court,
34:09this is preliminary,
34:10premature.
34:11Eh,
34:12kailan mo pa i-release yung iso?
34:14Pag natapos natin,
34:15natanggal na si Day.
34:16Ngayon,
34:17sasabihin ng Supreme Court,
34:18premature.
34:19Pag question natin,
34:20natanggal na si Day.
34:21Vote an academic.
34:22Saan tayo inulogar siyan?
34:25And then...
34:26Wala tayo.
34:27Wala tayo.
34:29Saan nga lulogar yung tao?
34:30Saan lulogar yung mga petitioner?
34:32Pag question mo ngayon,
34:33premature.
34:34Pag question mo,
34:34natanggal na si Day.
34:35Mutal academic.
34:36It is dismissed pa rin.
34:37So,
34:38the issue is,
34:40it did not resolve
34:41the constitutional issue.
34:43So,
34:43dahil walang loco-standing,
34:45walang standing to sue
34:46ang mga
34:49ordinary mamamayan
34:50tulad ni
34:50Ipikro Regis,
34:52tulad ko,
34:52tulad mo Darwin,
34:54mga kababayan.
34:55Then,
34:56it behoves,
34:56senator judges ang mag-question.
34:58So,
34:59ay,
34:59nag-file na ng petition si
35:01Roven Patilia
35:02at si Bongo Yaka
35:04about
35:05that
35:06issue.
35:07The other one is,
35:08well,
35:09hilimot tala na masabing malang loco-standing
35:11because real party
35:12in the interest
35:12siya.
35:13So, my president Sarah Duterte
35:14may also file a decision.
35:16And,
35:16hindi nila pwedeng indiscision
35:18on the ground of
35:19lack of loco-standing.
35:21Now,
35:22the other thing also,
35:23and,
35:24maybe you can also
35:25educate me,
35:27as a non-lawyer,
35:28and those of the viewers
35:29who are watching.
35:30I've also read from,
35:32I think it's Manila Times,
35:33when they said that there are also other
35:35constitutional provisions
35:37that could be impacted,
35:39should the ruling of the lowered threshold
35:43of all members of the Senate
35:45revised into those who are just present.
35:49and one of them is Article 17.
35:52And, this is the requirement to,
35:56for the Senate to initiate constitutional amendments
35:59and revisions.
36:01The threshold also that was set was
36:04all members of the Senate.
36:06So, if the interpretation of all members
36:09of the Senate,
36:10do you think this will also impact other
36:13kind of constitutional provisions such as
36:16constitutional amendments or revisions
36:19which also requires all members of the Senate?
36:25I think it's,
36:26I think that the provision,
36:27if I'm not mistaken,
36:30all members of Congress.
36:31Ah, yes.
36:32Sorry.
36:32All members of Congress, correct.
36:33Sorry.
36:35Congress.
36:36By the way, Darwin,
36:37mga kababayan,
36:38Congress to natin is bicameral.
36:40When you say bicameral,
36:41dalawang house yan.
36:43The lower house,
36:44which is the House of Representatives,
36:46and the upper house,
36:47which is the Senate.
36:48Iba yan sa unicameral.
36:50Yung unicameral,
36:51isang house lang.
36:52Ito yung parliament.
36:53So,
36:54sa parliament,
36:55isang house lang talaga sila.
36:57Although,
36:57meron mga parliamentary
36:58that are bicameral.
37:02For example,
37:02United Kingdom,
37:03meron silang house of lords
37:04and house of commons.
37:06So,
37:06yung house of lords nila,
37:08yun yung pinakasenado natin.
37:09Yung house of commons nila,
37:11yun yung pinaka-house of representatives natin.
37:13So,
37:14parliamentary sila,
37:15pero bicameral.
37:16Tayo kung presidential,
37:19tayo kung presidential,
37:19tayo kung presidential.
37:20So,
37:21dalawang house.
37:22So,
37:23yes,
37:23it can impact
37:25the provision
37:27on amendments
37:29of the Constitution.
37:31Kasi,
37:32that's a third issue also.
37:34Whether both Congress,
37:36both houses of Congress
37:37should be voting separately
37:40or together.
37:43Kasi,
37:44kung voting separately,
37:47so,
37:47iba yung voting sa house.
37:49Pwedeng manalo yung amendment sa house.
37:51Pwedeng matalo yung amendment sa house.
37:52Sa Senate.
37:53Or revisions.
37:55Senado.
37:55Diba?
37:56So,
37:56wala.
37:57Hindi matutuloy yung
37:59masamang balak ni Lisa Mancos.
38:02Kung ganun.
38:03Dalawang house voted in paper board,
38:06which is more likely,
38:07mga mong hampera yung mga nandun
38:09in the Senate,
38:10kung
38:11enough idealistic people
38:13will remain,
38:15hindi papaya.
38:17So,
38:17walang mangyari doon sa amendment
38:18or revisions.
38:19Pero,
38:20kung,
38:20voting together,
38:23mas marami ang house of representatives
38:25kaysa senators.
38:26Senators.
38:27Ang house of representatives
38:28is almost
38:30400.
38:31If I remember correctly,
38:33300 plus.
38:34300 plus.
38:35And you have only 24 senators.
38:37So,
38:38voting together,
38:39dropped out yung,
38:40malulunod talaga yung
38:42voto ng mga senador.
38:43So,
38:43they will get their way.
38:45So,
38:45that's the implication.
38:46Yun na nga eh.
38:48After nila matanggal si Inday,
38:50the most likely,
38:51and logical,
38:52political move
38:53of the Marxist
38:54to remain in power
38:56is to amend the Constitution
38:57and grant him another term.
38:59That's the danger
39:00we should prevent.
39:02Kasi,
39:03remember,
39:03mga kababayan,
39:04it took us 20 years
39:06to remove
39:07the previous Marcos.
39:09God knows how long
39:11it will take us to remove
39:12this Marcos
39:13kung magpatuloy ito.
39:15And now,
39:17going back to the
39:20remaining article
39:21of impeachment.
39:23So now,
39:23where we've talked about
39:24the voting threshold
39:26that was changed,
39:27and then we've also talked about
39:30the power dynamics
39:31that's also changing
39:33in favor of the
39:35current majority.
39:37So,
39:38and I've also seen
39:39in several interviews
39:40that Attorney Sal Panelo
39:42is already saying
39:43that it's very likely
39:44for the Price President
39:46to be convicted
39:47given the way things are going.
39:49How about
39:50your forecast,
39:51Attorney Glenn,
39:52looking at the remaining
39:54article of impeachment
39:55which is unexplained wealth
39:57and all this happening
39:58outside and inside the trial.
40:00What's your forecast?
40:03Um,
40:04ang tingin ko,
40:05meron na silang numbers
40:07to be,
40:07to be frank about it.
40:09Uh,
40:09meron silang numbers.
40:10They're not going to,
40:11hindi ganyan sila
40:13sa,
40:13sa ano,
40:14sa,
40:15sa prosecution
40:16na mag-withdraw
40:17ng tatlong,
40:18tatlong ano,
40:19tatlong,
40:20tatlong articles
40:20kung hindi sila sigurado
40:22dun sa isa
40:23na remaining.
40:24Because you know,
40:25it's very dangerous,
40:27Darwin,
40:28mga kababayan.
40:29Dangerous for
40:30the prosecution.
40:31Kung ako yung prosecution
40:32hindi ko,
40:33yung tatlong.
40:34Uh,
40:35at least,
40:36at least,
40:37meron,
40:38ah,
40:38four possibilities
40:39to gain,
40:40to get a conviction.
40:41Ito ngayon,
40:43tinapon mo yung tatlong,
40:44yung concentrated everything
40:46on one single basket.
40:48Uh,
40:48which is very dangerous.
40:49Kasi kung magka,
40:50magka diferentsya,
40:52panalo,
40:53sinay.
40:53Pero I think,
40:54hindi nila gagawin yan
40:56kung wala silang assurants
40:58na nakuha na nila yung numero nila.
41:00Remember,
41:01pilababa na nila yung numero nila.
41:03From 16,
41:04pilababa nila to 14.
41:06And they continue
41:08to target
41:10specific senators.
41:11Ang lately nga,
41:13si,
41:14ah,
41:15si,
41:16ah,
41:17si, ah,
41:18Ligata.
41:19So,
41:20they are,
41:20they are,
41:21ah,
41:27ah,
41:28ah,
41:33they are,
41:38mga,
41:39ah,
41:51of Marcos. He was very insecure. Every month, we were in his home. I've always told that
42:00publicly. I'm there. And many times, Marcos said to me, the Americans removed my father.
42:08So that's why, when he lost his wife, he lost his week. He didn't get it. So that brings us
42:17to the other side of the coin. Kaya galit ang China sa kanila. Actually, ito, Darwin,
42:26isahin na natin ito. Yung allegation nila doon sa Kali-88.
42:3188. Kali-88 ba yun? Double L?
42:34Kali-88. Kali-88. Diba? Meron silang allegation na...
42:41Transfer of money.
42:43Meron silang allegation na tumanggap si Vice President
42:48na meron mula sa China. But mind you, mga kababayan,
42:53ang testimony ng AMLC ni Tabaka, ni Sen. Benaventura,
42:59na may perang pumasok mula sa China, wala siyang sinabi na this money actually came from
43:07the Communist Politburo. Diba? Wala siyang sinabi na galing sa Politburo yan.
43:13Meron transfers from China. But it does not prove na galing yun sa leadership ng China.
43:19That's one thing.
43:20Pero wala siyang sinabi ni Marcos, mga kababayan.
43:24Anong sinabi ni Marcos, nakakapahala ito
43:27ng isang mataas na opisyal ng gobyerno ay tumatanggap ng pera sa China.
43:31Mind you, Mr. Marcos, if I remind you,
44:01Ori Central Building or ORE Central Building sa Fort Bonifacio.
44:07Doon ako palagi.
44:08Noong anim na taon na yan.
44:10I think if I remember, that's between 31st to 34th floor.
44:16Doon, mga kababayan, may Chinese flag on one side.
44:20May Philippine flag on the other side.
45:15Kaya tingnan ninyo, Darwin, mga kababayan, you should not look further.
45:45That remains to be proven, hindi pa napatunayan yan.
45:50Pero sa mga mata ko at sa isip ko,
45:53napatunayan ko na na si Marcos at ang asawa niya
45:56tumatanggap ng pera mula sa China.
45:596 na taon ako ngayon. Nakikita ko yun.
46:03So now, because of the many, many patterns
46:10that are seemingly piecing together,
46:13and if we look at also, if we go back to the impeachment proceeding,
46:21and yes, there are forecasts now that would say that it's very likely
46:26for the Vice President to be convicted.
46:29What do you think, for the viewers who are watching,
46:33whether they are on the side of the defense,
46:35or whether they are on the side of the prosecution,
46:39what do you think should Filipinos be watching more closely moving forward?
46:44and what could be constitutionally at stake as a precedence given what is happening?
46:55Well, it's time.
46:57Ako, prangkahan lang Darwin.
46:59I would not allow Marcos to get away with what they are doing.
47:02I would never allow them to control the political forces that play in our country.
47:08Kasi alam ko, alam ko yung mindset ni Lisa Marcos.
47:13Ang mindset talaga niya is total absolute control of this country.
47:17Gusto pa niyang langpasan si Imelda Marcos to be frank about it.
47:24Kilala ko sila, alam ko yung frame of mind nila.
47:27They are so transactional, even if nakatulong ka sa kanila ng malaki,
47:33it doesn't count if someone comes along with a better offer.
47:39Like me, anim na taon akong tumulong sa kanila.
47:43Pro bono, na damay pa yung buhay ni Richard Santillian, yung personal aid ko.
47:48And of which, Lisa Marcos apologized to me.
47:50Sabi niya, sorry, namatay si Richard dahil sa pagtulong mo sa amin.
47:53But at the end of the day, nung hilingi ni Smartmatic ang ulo ko,
47:57well, they cut my head like John the Baptist and opened it with Smartmatic.
48:01Because Smartmatic came with a better offer.
48:04Hindi ko naman pwedeng ipanalo sa Marcos sa Pandaraya
48:06because that would not be me.
48:09So, ito ngayon, itong ginagawa nila, it's time for the public to come out of the streets
48:14to prevent, if only to prevent a recurrence of a Marcos regime ruling us again
48:20for God knows how long.
48:23Balik-wala sa kanila yung bakas eh.
48:25Balik-wala sa kanila yun eh.
48:26And look at the Supreme Court at the critical moment when we need them to side with the people.
48:36Example, yung petisyon ni Vic Rodriguez at iba pa, yung mga petisyon niya,
48:41they should have ruled on it by now.
48:44Anong ginawa? Dinismiss nila.
48:46So, anong mangyayari?
48:48It's like they are, pinapayagan nila na mangyayari itong gusto ni Marcos.
48:53And look, look, look at our economy.
48:58Yung ekonomiya natin.
49:00Ang ekonomiya natin bumabagsak.
49:03Mababa, 3%.
49:04Hindi sapat yan because inflation is 7%.
49:09For people na umanga mula sa poverty line,
49:13para makaangat yung mga kababayan natin sa poverty line,
49:16you need to have a higher economic growth than inflation.
49:19Kasi ang inflation is yung yung pagtaas ng presyo ng bilihin.
49:23Yung economic growth, yun yung pagtubo ng ekonomiya natin.
49:27E paano maaangat mo yung taong bay?
49:29Kung 7% ang inflation, 3% ang economic growth.
49:32Ibig sabihin mas maraming Pilipino mabagsak sa below poverty line.
49:36And unemployment remains elevated also.
49:39Yes, and unemployment remains elevated.
49:42Hindi ito yung panahon ni President Duterte.
49:43Where's pa Darwin?
49:44Noong una mo akong in-interview,
49:46ang topic kong unang sinabi sa'yo, utang.
49:49Sa panahon ni President Duterte,
49:51ang in-utang niya, 6 trillion pesos.
49:54Naiintindihan natin dahil may COVID.
49:57Ito ngayon si Marcos,
49:58apat na taon pala na utang,
50:00almost 8 trillion pesos na.
50:037 trillion plus.
50:05Walang COVID.
50:07Sana napunta?
50:08Paano sa plan control?
50:09Ninakaw ng mga buhayan?
50:10So ito.
50:12Ito pa yung gusto natin pagpapatuloy na pamamaraan
50:14ang pamamahala ng gobyerno sa atin.
50:17Now this is what we are facing now.
50:19They are removing our last political countervailing force.
50:24Kasi remember, sabi ko kanina, parang timbangan yun eh.
50:27Si Marcos dito, si Ilday sa kabila.
50:30Natanggalin nila itong last countervailing force na taong bayan.
50:34Wala na tayong matatakbuhan.
50:36Kasi wala nang hell of opposition.
50:39For now, Ilday ang hell of opposition.
50:41So they are going to remove her.
50:44Simplify the equation.
50:46Control everything.
50:48Change the constitution.
50:49Wrap it down our throats.
50:51Control us.
50:51Rule us.
50:53So at the end of the day,
50:55it's time to go out into the streets
50:56and reclaim our freedom.
50:58Reclaim our constitution.
50:59Reclaim rule of law.
51:02Kasi ito walang rule of law ito ngayon eh.
51:06They willfully ban the law.
51:09Thank you very much, Attorney Glenn.
51:12This is an insightful conversation as usual.
51:17And thank you for making time for this,
51:20considering your busy schedule.
51:24Darwin, it's my obligation as Filipino
51:28to share what I know.
51:30To share what I know.
51:31What I know from the side of the Marcos.
51:34Kasi nandun ako eh.
51:35Kasama ko sila eh.
51:36I can help offer insights into their mindset
51:41para mapigilan natin ito because
51:44ah, we have so much to lose.
51:46And they have everything.
51:48Eh, itandaan natin yun,
51:49they have everything to gain
51:51and we have everything to lose as a people.
51:53Kaya nga paulit yun,
51:54yung sinasabi sa mga kababayan natin,
51:56Garwin, sa inyong mga kababayan
51:58na nakikinig na noon-noon sa amin ngayon
52:00dito sa Sunstown.
52:02Um, we have to stand up and fight.
52:06We have to keep going
52:08because we don't know
52:09if victory is just around the corner.
52:12If we don't keep pushing,
52:13we will never reach the corner
52:14and we will never taste victory.
52:16We're not fighting today for ourselves.
52:19We're fighting for our children and our future.
52:21Yung mga ako natin
52:22because they cannot stand up and fight for themselves today.
52:25Tayo yun.
52:25And the power to change our destiny lies in our own lives.
52:30If we choose and act wisely,
52:32we will reap the benefits of a good choice.
52:35If we don't act,
52:37then all of us go to perdition.
52:43Thank you very much,
52:44Attorney Glenn.
52:45And talk to you soon, no?
52:47And hopefully better circumstances.
52:50And thank you again for having me in your program
52:52until next time.
52:57Thank you also.
52:58So that's Attorney Glenn Chong.
53:00He's a lawyer and a former representative
53:03of the Congressional District of the Biliran Province.
53:06And 39 trial days,
53:09millions of pesos in reported expense,
53:12and a controversy that continues to raise difficult questions
53:16about evidence, procedure, and constitutional accountability.
53:21Accountability cannot be reduced to a headline figure or a political argument.
53:27It must rest on evidence, transparency, and due process.
53:34Because public trust is not secured by winning an argument,
53:37it is earned by showing the people that the system works fairly.
53:43So I'm DJ Moises and shout out to Coffee First for supporting conversations that matter.
53:49This is Beyond the Headlines.
53:51Let's continue to look deeper and think better.
53:54Have a good afternoon.
54:01It starts with a fresh shot of espresso.
54:05Bold, rich, pulled just right.
54:10Then comes the milk, steamed smooth, creamy, and balanced.
54:15The perfect latte is not brushed.
54:18It is crafted.
54:20One cup at a time.
54:23Your perfect latte is ready.
54:25Coffee first.
54:26Then, everything else.
54:49The debates have already performed.
54:51There.
54:57Mr.
54:57Mr.
