00:08we head to the Haseley Crawford Stadium where club sando portrayed their best
00:13David impersonation against Jamaican Giants Mount Pleasant FC Daniel David
00:18scored an equalizer to earn club sando a 1-0 draw in the semi-final first leg
00:24but with some luck the TNT club could have secured a victory club sando really had nothing to lose but
00:32more to gain as they hosted the defending champs Mount Pleasant in the semi-final first leg and
00:37the horse were not afraid to start on the front foot turn one hesitation goes for goal here but
00:43stay by Davis but their positive play quickly turned into a negative little give and go gets
00:50it back with the right foot didn't hit it flush remember that one quality chance and we were just
00:59talking about club sando's inability to complete it and they come right back and get beat on a counter
01:07that is how you finish Warner Brown Mount Pleasant leads 1-0 and the Jamaican club benefited from a
01:15VAR review which rewarded them with a penalty joshua alexander comes sliding in
01:26yeah their center referee points to the spot but after a protracted approach the kick lacked
01:32neither power nor placement slow walk in this penalty but he'll take it eventually
01:41Reed little showboating takes the penalty it's a poor one and he pays for it
01:48that is embarrassing a welcome sight for club sando as if he was still in the match only down one
01:55goal
01:58and given a reprieve sando took advantage in the second half
02:02some woodwork no chance for Davis on that one either Daniel David sneaks this one past the keeper
02:11and we're level at one apiece club sando started as if he underdogs but were looking more likely to
02:18score again but bailed out anyway I'll tell you what Jaquan Davis has to thank his lucky stars
02:24a desperate last-ditch defensive header the only reason the holes were not ahead of the fact
02:32but it was the crossbar that rescued Monk Pleasant soon after dropped it off
02:37right here side over one work again from Henry and that's how it ended as it felt more like a
02:43win
02:43than a draw for club sando with all to play for in the return leg in Jamaica Caribbean cup ends
02:51in a
02:511-1 draw Terence Clark TV6 sport and club sando's goal scorer Daniel David spoke about their performance
02:58on the night while looking ahead to the return leg you score your first goal in the competition but a
03:05critical one it gave you your team a draw tonight what's your reaction said to this yeah well you know
03:11we have done one nil you know coachman said I thought about and get the work done you know
03:15so I was to go and play my part in the game how you think now this performance sets you
03:20up for the
03:20return leg in Jamaica and what's going to be the team's mood going into that match yeah well I think
03:25we're confident enough you know getting a point going into the next leg that's how to go and do the
03:29same thing and get the job done even though club sando are inexperienced rookies to the
03:34CONCACAF Caribbean cup they have a manager in Angus Eve who has a wealth of experience as a
03:40former player and coach as such he felt his players should feel a sense of disappointment
03:45in not converting the draw into a win that in the first half we we didn't actually believe in
03:54ourselves as much as we should have and we probably took the reputation of the team and what they have
04:00done and as I said before our guys are young guys this first time in this kind of scenario so
04:07I thought
04:07that we the disappointment for me with that we didn't really kill off the game and we started
04:12a bit slow but we built into the game and I thought we were the better team on the night
04:16part of the
04:17feeling of disappointment for Eve is knowing how much the odds are stacked against club sando compared
04:22to Mount Pleasant and he gave credit to his backroom staff for having the players ready for the challenge
04:27it's difficult for us I thought we looked the fitter team today and we're not in season so it's
04:33testimony to what the staff the trainers and and all the physical people and the doctors and them
04:38doing at the club because we look really really strong today as a unit and so a little bit
04:44disappointed that we didn't win the game but we have a lot of opportunity to play them in their
04:49backyard as for the return leg in Jamaica Eve said they are practically at full health and all the
04:54logistics are in place for the trip but the main thing he hopes his players take in their luggage to
04:59Jamaica is conviction it's for the guys to believe in themselves and believe that they belong in this
05:05competition because they have proven that so far and tonight was an illustration of that so if they
05:11could they could continue to believe in themselves and play the football that we've been training to
05:16play I think it will order well for us going through the remainder of the tournament
05:20Terrence Clark TV6 Sport well we pedal over to China Shanghai to be exact where day two of the UCI
05:28world track championships wasn't as explosive for TNT TNT had four cyclists in action however all
05:35failed to make an impact in the men's Kirin the women's sprint and elimination events day two was
05:43anticipated to be the day TNT made a mark in the men's Kirin which has been one of our better
05:48events
05:48but the promise didn't pan out as Nicholas Paul Jason Phillip and Kwesi Brown all failed to advance
05:54beyond the first round and the rapper charge it was the first time in four years a TNT man did
05:59not
05:59make it to the knockout round in the Kirin at a major event however Dutch legend Harry Lovason added to
06:05his career medal hall in the final look at this Japan coming three wide door backs in the middle top
06:11and tailed by Japan but
06:13Lovason comes through in the middle to win 20 seconds world championship gold medal to Harry Lovason the defending champion
06:21in the Kirin
06:2220 year old Makira Wallis still adding to a repertoire at the senior stage bowed out at the qualifying round
06:28of the women's sprint
06:29tomorrow's final we'll see two British women battling for a spot in the final against either cyclists from China
06:34or Japan and Alexi Ramirez finished 22nd in the women's elimination race which was defended by the
06:41favorite from Belgium
06:42Lota Capecchi pre-race favorite superstar of global cycling and she's powering around to the elimination gold medal here
06:50goal for Capecchi
06:52however tomorrow will provide a chance at redemption as our cyclists will see action in the men's points race
06:59kilometer time trial individual pursuit and women's sprint and omnium events
07:04Terence Clark TV six sport switching to cricket now former international player Brian Davis is
07:10disappointed Roston chase continues to captain the West Indies test squad saying he lacks leadership
07:17qualities this comes ahead of the test tour of Bangladesh where the Caribbean side plays the opener on October 28th
07:25here's more
07:28former international cricketer Brian Davis is okay with a few picks whereas he's unhappy with some names on the West
07:34Indies test squad to take on Bangladesh
07:36he says quote I think young Kevin Wickham is a good choice but I can't see how Brandon King is
07:41there since he's been a failure over the years
07:44I believe he's fortunate to be selected and tried one more time and court according to Davis even Kimo Paul
07:50is lucky to have made
07:51the cut despite taking five wickets in the fourth T20 international against India on Wednesday
07:57regarding she hopes absence Davis sees it as a blow to the West Indies chances
08:01hope is being rested
08:03due to an extended run in all three formats
08:05David says quote hope will certainly be missed since he's a prolific scorer for the team
08:10with the height of form that he's in I disagree if the selectors told him to take a rest
08:15but if he asked for the rest
08:17I would be in agreement since he knows his body
08:19unquote
08:19the man who represented the West Indies in 1965 is also disappointed that Roston Chase continues to captain the tough
08:26side
08:26he says Chase doesn't have the killer instinct in him to lead the team
08:30he says quote
08:31I can't see Roston Chase as a winning captain
08:34I can't see him as a player who can inspire players under him
08:38plus I see him as an ordinary club bowler
08:41that also applies to Jamal Warrickon who's ordinary and amateurish
08:45unquote
08:46however
08:47Davis says Joshua Bishop is a player who's shown lots of promise with his left arm spin and willow in
08:52hand
08:52Vinod Nawani, T64
08:54To the subcontinent, fast bowler Kimo Paul was pleased with the way he executed his plans in the fourth T20
09:01against India in Hyderabad to help the West Indies level a series
09:05Paul took five wickets which sees both teams heading into Saturday's decider in Bengaluru
09:11here's more
09:13the West Indies bounce back to beat India in the fourth T20 international in Hyderabad by 24 runs
09:18besides an unbeaten 102 from captain she hoped to take the windies to 247 for three
09:24Kimo Paul also had a good match with five wickets
09:27after India got off to a flyer
09:28Paul took two scalps in his first over to put the brakes on the home team
09:33well yes I think they got off to quite a relic in start you know um you know the power
09:37plays has been tough for us we haven't been able to contain them so coming in obviously every team we
09:42have our game plans you know we sit and we discuss we have some pretty long team uh bowling bowling
09:48meetings so I don't think we take that for granted um so I knew what I wanted to do I
09:54knew what my field setting was and I know my plan obviously I won't share my plan but I think
09:58I executed pretty well tonight
10:00teams bowling second usually have a problem because the ball becomes slippery but Paul said there were no such issues
10:06in the match since there was no due whatever the case the bowlers still had to execute properly in order
10:13to restrict the opposition
10:15from the batsman perspective after the first five overs the message we got was it was a pretty good wicket
10:20one two balls were gripping but other than that was was pretty good um and bowling on on the wicket
10:26like I said you know the slow balls it helped us here you know normally we weren't getting any grip
10:32or stuff or the other wickets or the other grounds but it actually worked here so you know the game
10:36plan was just to stick bowling into the wicket as long as possible and try to execute our yard because
10:40when when we know they're going great guns yeah
10:43bowlers in this series have suffered the most whereas the batters keep enjoying themselves as such the 28-year-old
10:49speedster from Guyana wasn't too harsh on himself
10:53you can't be too hard on yourself as a bowler on these tracks you know the margin for error is
10:56very very thin
10:58um you know it all comes down to execution again like I said um so it's just about one day
11:04at a time it's all about process
11:06um and I mean once you try to stick to the team plan as much as possible I don't think
11:10the staff would have a problem
11:12so you know it's it's you can't you can't be too tough for yourself on these wickets man
11:16the windies are hoping to create history in India by winning Saturday's final game in Bengaluru
11:24Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board President Azambassarat says player development is important from a young age
11:30he was speaking at Wednesday's National Award Ceremony at the Dennis Ramdan Complex in McBean Koofer
11:39there were many outstanding performances on the field of play which saw cricketers both male and
11:44female being rewarded for their efforts this as the TTCB National Awards Ceremony was held on Wednesday
11:50evening in Koofer to honor the players speaking at the function TTCB President Azambassarat lauded the
11:56individuals for their efforts to all our award-winning clubs congratulations to our individual awardees
12:04well done your achievements reflect talent discipline and commitment and I encourage you to use this
12:14recognition as motivation to reach even greater heights Basharat also touched on player development
12:21saying it was important for children to become involved in cricket from an early age
12:26based on that there's another tournament that's bowling off next year we also recognize that some
12:32children particularly after completing the secondary entrance assessment need positive and structured
12:40activities through which they can continue developing their interests and abilities to address this ladies and
12:49gentlemen the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board plans to introduce an under 11
12:55interzone tournament in 2027
13:02among the women West Indies offspinner Karishma Ramharak was the international cricketer of the year
13:07switching to the men TNT skipper Joshua De Silva who captained Red Force to four-day success was the national
13:14cricketer of

13:21then it would now I need to export on the lighter side West Indies legend Brian Lara and a couple
13:27other
13:27former players gave their views on the batting and bowling performance of the Prince of Wales
13:32Prince William was part of an event called Cricket on the Mall outside Buckingham Palace
13:43here's what the cricketing legends who were at the event had to say about the Prince's performance
13:50his batting was pretty good to be fair I think he's definitely a batter rather than a bowler so
13:55but he played some lovely shots there's definitely a lot to work with there for sure
13:59he batted all right he batted all right I think his skills are better than me at the moment because
14:05I picked up a cricket bat after eight or nine years well I think he underrates himself first of all
14:10because you know he's a big football fan as we all know but and he said you know his uh
14:16he doesn't
14:16know much about cricket it's about his batting I think his bowling needs a lot of work but his batting
14:21across the line I think he'd just be my sort of the number six or number seven batter yeah the
14:27guy
14:27that you know comes in at the end and you know if he hits a couple boundaries he hits a
14:30couple
14:30boundaries if not you know things goes on he's in a starting eleven he did ask me why I was
14:35standing
14:35between two Englishmen after punishing them for 400 runs but that was many many years ago these two young
14:40men Joe Root and Harry Brooke I don't think they have an idea what happened back then but uh
14:45just to be in his presence and to see how relaxed and humbly it's it's amazing
14:53listen I would not have criticized the prince of wheels okay we switch sports now and head back

15:56fellow Italian club Juventus got off to a poor start away to Celsa De Vigo
16:05but the old lady were gifted the equalizer after dominating both the possession and chances
16:13and it got better for the Bianconeri who made it two from two in Europe
