00:00It was Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:04Thanks, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to your weather.
00:08Let's begin with what happened today.
00:10Isolated showers affected northern and central Trinidad,
00:14with a few isolated heavy showers impacting parts of the east-west corridor near Coover and around Matura and Valencia.
00:22Elsewhere, skies were invariably cloudy with brief isolated showers during the day.
00:26Moving on to tonight, where we will have skies being generally fair,
00:31with temperatures at 23 degrees in Trinidad and 24 in Tobago.
00:35And tomorrow, expect conditions to be fair, slightly hazy and breezy,
00:39but enjoy it while it lasts because it will be interrupted at times by a few cloudy patches with showers.
00:46And also, making a small appearance tomorrow is our friend Sahara and us,
00:50and she's bringing with her a mild concentration,
00:53so sensitive persons should take the necessary precautions.
00:57Maximum temperatures will come in at 31 degrees in both islands.
01:02Moving on to our weekend, where things will start off sunny, slightly hazy and breezy,
01:07with a few isolated showers favoring the morning on Saturday,
01:11with maximum temperatures of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:16And on Sunday, the sun will not shine as bright and leave us with dull, hazy and breezy conditions,
01:23with brief showers as well.
01:25Temperatures will be 32 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:29Let's take a look at our sun times now.
01:32In Trinidad, sun rises at 624 and 622 in Tobago,
01:35and the sun will set at 615 in Trinidad and 610 over in Tobago.
01:41And your seas will be moderate with waves 2 meters to 2.5 meters in open waters,
01:46and near 1 meter, occasionally choppy, in sheltered areas.
01:50But before you think about taking a dip at the beach,
01:53you should know that a hazardous sea alert yellow level has been issued
01:57from 2 p.m. today through Saturday the 21st at 6 p.m.
02:02High-energy long-period netherly swells are expected to generate large,
02:07powerful breakers along northern nearshore coastal areas,
02:11especially during high tides.
02:13These conditions may disrupt fishing, swimming and boat moorings,
02:17and could lead to saltwater intrusion and unusual sand displacement.
02:22Marine interests should closely monitor sea conditions,
02:25exercise caution and limit nearshore activities during this period.
02:30With that being said, it is now time for your tired times.
02:43Well, that's all for weather tonight.
02:45Don't go anywhere because there's more news when we come back.
