00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's time now for your weather.
00:09Here's what happened today. An isolated thunderstorm over portions of the east-west
00:14corridor produced localized light to moderate showers with pockets of heavy rainfall in some
00:20areas. This activity drifted generally westward. Another isolated thunderstorm flared up over parts
00:28of the southwest peninsula producing heavy rainfall between Separia, Airene and Labrie.
00:34Conditions settled by sunset. And now for conditions in Port of Spain currently, we have some light rain
00:41with temperatures at 28 degrees and winds coming east-southeast at 9 kilometers per hour.
00:48And we have humidity at 83 percent. And over in Tobago, there's also some light rain with
00:53temperatures at 28 degrees and winds coming east at 17 kilometers per hour and humidity
00:59at 83 percent. For those of you that might like the sound of rain pattering on your roofs
01:06at night, well, here's something you can look forward to. Tonight, you can expect cloudy
01:10intervals with a few scattered showers and a medium chance of thunderstorm activity. We have
01:16minimum temperatures coming in at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 over in Tobago. But for those
01:22of you who had plans to wash your car or get your hair done, this might not be the best news. As tomorrow,
01:28the Met Office is forecasting gravely cloudy conditions with periods of showers. There's a
01:34medium chance of some isolated thunderstorm activity with maximum temperatures expected at 32 degrees in
01:41Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. Now to our weekend forecast. Both Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy and
01:49breezy, eventually becoming cloudy with occasional showers. And you can also add some thunderstorm activity
01:56to that as well. However, on Sunday, these showers will favor the morning and early afternoon. For the
02:03weekend, both days will have a maximum temperature of 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. Here's when to
02:11catch today's first and last race. Sunrise is at 558 in Trinidad and 555 over in Tobago. And sunset is at 540
02:21in Trinidad and 536 in Tobago. And let's see what we're getting tomorrow with our seas. Seas are
02:28moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and below 1 meter, occasionally choppy,
02:34in sheltered areas. It's now time for your Thai times.
02:46In international news, Typhoon Kalamagi made landfall in Vietnam on Thursday after killing at least 114
02:54people and flooding entire towns in the Philippines. More than 260,000 soldiers are on standby for rescue efforts
03:02as winds of up to 92 miles per hour hit the country's coastline. Six airports in the country have been
03:09forced to close and hundreds of flights are expected to be affected. The country, which has already been
03:15battling records rains and floods, is now facing one of Asia's strongest typhoons this year. Well,
