00:35of a sudden you know they started getting back to an identity that i think we're used to i'm not
00:41ready to say this is this team's identity right now because it's been one game out of five uh but
00:46some of the familiarity familiarity we've had with dan campbell teams where the aggressiveness and
00:52going forward being four and four and uh fourth down and i think we're all four of those touchdowns
00:58three of them were three of them were touchdowns three of them were touchdowns yeah um it was just
01:02like okay don't overreact to the first quarter but these guys got to wake up there's got to be
01:07some urgency and they did i'll tell you what tj was thinking he tweeted out i can make a hell

01:12argument the lions offense is hurting them more than the defense pick it the hell up and then you said
01:16the o-line has to play better i like your eyes always go to the offensive line oh sure says

01:29when watching this is the first time in six seasons that you know i haven't been at the games and
01:36working the games and first time in six seasons that i've been able to maybe you know enjoy myself
01:41a little bit you know during lions games but yeah it was uh i think all of us were probably

01:48that though oh with seven minus nine yards in the first quarter against seven no what are we doing
01:53okay there we go here we go by arizona and it was three drives for detroit three and out and

02:02minus nine yards and then they get the ball in the second quarter and it was three touchdowns a field
02:09goal three touchdowns they scored on seven straight drives and they paired that with the defense
02:16forcing arizona five straight three and outs you're welcome i said pick it the hell up and
02:22it was either your speech or whatever dan was dan was with us last week and it clearly with the
02:30team
02:30was on their ass like we we will not settle for mediocrity that was the rallying cry and he said
02:35it in the post game yeah i think he's gonna be a little happier tomorrow we won't have him
02:41oh you don't have him in about bi-week okay yeah bi-week obviously um but that was a guy

02:46clearly felt this is a key moment in the season and i need these guys to to figure we need

02:50it out together yeah and normally in my experience with coaches if they're that fired up and salty oh
02:58with the media like it's probably 10 times the full team meeting it's gonna be 10 times more urgent

03:10everything i talked about with players and kevin shepard said the same thing but usually when the
03:14coaches are fired up in front of a microphone in a press conference and salty uh-huh i've had a
03:20couple of those you know you're going to meetings where the coach is laying into you or oc if it's
03:26if it's just the offense where you're keeping track of all right how many f-bombs how many times did
03:31he say the s-word and like you're just you're kind of keeping a rolling tally oh yeah it's it's

03:38impressive and these guys i'm sure how many different ways can they use those words right
03:43a lot of variations yeah variations you didn't even know were possible uh-huh uh but yeah i mean i

03:48i think these guys like it's impossible these days to not see pretty much everything with with

04:59contender oh yeah right like we're reacting to like phantom beliefs and takes right there's there's
05:07always going to be fans like that that just aren't going to be happy unless you beat a team 50

05:56detroit lions fans are level-headed for the most part we're passionate yeah but i don't think that

06:07contenders yeah they're probably one percent of people and probably one percent of the people are

06:15that was a good win that's what we needed to see there was improvement now we want to be we
06:19take the week off and show us you can be consistent consistent with john's thing has been you still
06:24need to add to the secondary do not get seduced or convinced that you've got enough or that it's good
06:28you know i brought up they haven't won back-to-back games in over a year so there is like

07:49some reinforcements and i'm sure that you know if they were in on joey porter which all the reports
07:54indicated a couple weeks ago yeah yeah and that that to me says okay hey we're three and two we're
08:00right in the mix let's add if you lose that game and you're two and three it's like do we

08:06want to go down that road we don't know yet but you're you're sitting in a good position if that
08:10was your mindset that we need need to add some talent to this defense you're in a great spot to

09:07did you find something yesterday did kelvin shepherd find something a lot of guys got more playing time
09:13keith abney first time we've seen him yeah right i think he had six or seven tackles in a past
09:17breakup and he's a rookie there's still going to be mistakes we've seen that with blake miller on the
09:22offensive side too did we did we figure something out did we finally get the recipe right not perfect
09:28nobody's expecting like john just mentioned nobody's expecting to be you know a top five
09:33defense if that's your expectation for this team and you're saying well why are their guys still you
09:38know why catching the ball and making play like that's going to happen with this team that's kind
09:42of the give and take you have to make when you look at this just just the way the defense
09:47is playing
09:47but i think that not only for the team aspect of it but individually i think there was there's there's
09:56so
09:56much value in taking confidence out of uh some of the performances that you have yesterday and the
10:02challenges and we're going to keep repeating it you got to be consistent with it yeah tj's in with
