00:00Well, a lot of our focus is, of course, on East Iainas.
00:03I do not want to ignore the southwest because Rachel is going to cause some problems here as well.
00:09Now, landfall forecast for overnight, very early Sunday morning,
00:13but then we'll still see Rachel likely as a tropical storm into Southern California
00:18and then moving its way north as it loses wind intensity.
00:22Similar situation with East Iainas that as it moves inland,
00:26even though it will have lost wind intensity, it will be a tropical wind and rainstorm,
00:28it's still going to cause problems.
00:30Here's your snapshot at some of the significant rainfall that we're expecting to see.
00:35And it all made worse because it's not just Rachel.
00:37We have another storm that's going to move in from the Pacific and bring some additional moisture.
00:45Now, not necessarily a tropical system, but two sources of moisture combining together.
00:49That just makes for more rainfall, more likelihood of flash flooding.
00:52We could see mudslides.
00:53And then, of course, we have the snow as well in Montana because tis the season.
00:58Now, we've already seen instances of especially coastal flooding in California,
01:02and we'll certainly likely see some more.
01:04I mean, even far Southern California, so think around San Diego,
01:07we have tropical storm watches in effect.
01:09When's the last time that happened?
01:10Definitely a rare sight there.
01:12Here's what we're working with as far as the wind.
01:14We could see a couple of isolated tornadoes as well.
01:16So be on the lookout for the watches, the warnings this weekend.

01:22because it's not just flash flooding from heavy rainfall that we're working with.
01:25Up to 12 inches of rain could fall, though.
01:27That's certainly going to cause problems.
01:29See the time frame here of when you see the rain, depending on where you are.
01:33Want to take a quick look at future radar, just give you an idea of how this plays out,
01:37not just with Rachel, but with a couple other sources of moisture that are going to play in here
01:41and bring some heavy rain to Southern California.
01:43But then really across the Western U.S., we get that moisture,
01:47and then it's cold enough in Montana to see accumulating snowfall.
01:50We could see several inches there by the time all is said and done as we start the week.
