00:00former member of the U.S. Secret Service. And Wesley Tabor is a former D.A.I. country attache
00:05in Venezuela. Good to have you, gentlemen. So I'm going to start with you first here,
00:09Barry. In terms of the FBI, they did an incredible job. They were able to foil
00:13this plot. But in terms of how long this took to get to the bottom of this and to
00:20get this individual in custody, ultimately, it took two years. Also, there were complications
00:25because he was 16 at the time they were investigating this. So talk to us more about
00:30that, because two years tracking just one individual seems like a lot of time.
00:35Thank you for having me on your show. Great to be with you. And I imagine they were watching
00:40this defendant for a while because he was right on the border of maybe breaking a law. And they
00:48were probably trying to gather and record information of who else he was talking to,
00:52if he was actually connected to a foreign terrorist organization. But this is very heinous.
00:58This person is a racist turned terrorist. He was targeting white people, Jewish people,
01:05and anybody innocent that wasn't following Islamic fundamentalism. So this is a heinous attack.
01:12We should be very thankful that the FBI, I've also read in a complaint that this FBI agent was also
01:19a
01:19secret service agent before. So kudos to both of these agents and agencies, as well as the army of
01:26people that were most likely involved in tracking down, tracking him, the undercover operative and
01:32everyone involved that will never get the credit for exposing this person and what his true motives
01:38were. So at yesterday's press conference, an FBI official revealed that the parents of the suspects
01:44were warned last year that their son was heading down a dangerous path. Take a listen to this.
01:50In 2025, the FBI attempted to speak with his parents, having seen that this young man was
01:59becoming radicalized and those attempts were rebuffed by the parents. If you hear from federal
02:07law enforcement that your son or daughter is being radicalized to the point where federal law enforcement
02:14wants to come and give you that warning, those are warnings that ought to be heeded.
02:18I mean, Wesley, they were warned a year ago. We'd love your thoughts on that.
02:22Yeah, listen, you got to remember that, you know, in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Minnesota, they have an
02:28issue with radical Somalians, right? Now, this isn't because all Somalian people or people from Somalia
02:35are bad. But what it shows is a culture that is accepted of this, right? So when the FBI shows
02:42up at
02:43your house, if your child is 16 years old, they say, hey, they're going to radicalize your child,
02:47right? You're going to be like, oh my God, what can we do to stop this? That didn't happen. So
02:50that
02:51tells the whole story. But one of the key factors in this is you have a two-year investigation.
02:55You have this youth, which is typical of what they do, right? They're going to utilize all these
03:01people that are a little bit weaker, a little bit more young, a little bit more receptive. And they do
03:06this across the world. This isn't just in Bloomington, Minnesota, okay? Yes, the Mall of
03:11America is a great target. You have 5.6 million square feet. If you've ever been to the Mall of
03:17America, you know I'm from Minneapolis, St. Paul area. I was born there, okay? We have over 500 stores,
03:2313,000 parking spaces. It gets packed. And then we're talking about one AK-47, right? So if you have
03:31a group of families that have the same kind of culture, leniency, and affinity toward these kind
03:37of terrorists and their acts and allegiance, we're in for bigger problems in the future.
03:42And that's why it is so important that the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, the U.S. Marshal, Secret Service,
03:47all these local agencies across the country are doing this because this isn't a singular issue.
03:51Right. And it's also good that they all communicate because we've seen how when they don't communicate,
03:55there's major issues that arise. Let's turn to another developing story here. As former
04:00Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, could face additional charges stemming from the alleged
04:05torture of Americans during his reign. Now, the charges are reportedly expected to be announced
04:10later this morning in a Manhattan courtroom at approximately 10.30 Eastern time. Prosecutors,
04:16they've been fighting efforts by Maduro's legal team to have his criminal case thrown out,
04:20which involves charges of cocaine trafficking, narco-terrorism, and weapons offenses. Of course,
04:26we all remember his perp walk there. Barry, how do you see this all unfolding?
04:31I really look at this the same as what happened with Manuel Noriega in Panama. This dictator is
04:37going to be placed behind bars. He is never going to get released ever again to where he's going to
04:42be able to be in a position to be a dictator and oppress an entire country and a people and
04:50hurt
04:50anybody with his illegal drug enterprise. So I don't predict a happy ending for him overall.
04:56I think he's going to spend the rest of his life in jail.
04:59So Maduro's attorneys argue that the case against him holds no merit because he's still recognized as
05:04Venezuela's head of state, but the U.S. government has not adhered to that designation since January of
05:102019. So, Wesley, which way do you see this argument going here?
05:15You know, listen, I worked there. I met with many of these Cartel de los Soles members,
05:19all the generals and these people that have been indicted. I've met with them. I've talked with them.
05:22In fact, myself and a select group, very small group, actually assisted in providing Delta the
05:29intelligence in part to do this raid. OK, so I'm very knowledgeable about it. I can't get into all
05:34the things, obviously. But what we're talking about here is a case that has been built over two
05:40decades. OK, two decades of people that have been brought to the United States, people that have
05:47talked, debriefed, all the intelligence that we've gathered from them for court, all of the other
05:52evidence that's going to come in from individual cases across the country and across the world,
05:57because, listen, this guy wasn't just suppressing his country. He was suppressing other people and
06:02the political prisoners by the thousands that were torturing. Right. And that's one of the new
06:07charges they're talking about. They're talking about now torture against American citizens. Listen,
06:12the plethora of cases on this guy is overwhelming. And I'm telling the American people right now,
06:19there is no doubt that we are going to seal the deal on this. And he's going to prison for
06:23life.
06:24That's a great discussion. Barry Donatio, Wesley Tabor. Thank you, gentlemen, for your time.
06:28Have a good day.
