A golden retriever meets a completely shut down puppy named Beans for the first time, and the moment carries real emotional weight. The rescue team explains that they’ve helped many scared dogs before, but Beans is different: he doesn’t even seem to know what a human is, which means trust has never been broken because it was never built.

That makes this encounter especially delicate. The video follows the first step in a rescue journey where patience, gentle handling, and careful observation matter more than anything else. It’s a touching animal rescue story about fear, trust, and the possibility of a puppy learning that people can be safe.

This is a moving dog rescue video for viewers who enjoy golden retriever content, shy puppy rehabilitation, emotional first meetings, and rescue journeys that focus on trust-building and recovery. It also fits searches for animal rescue stories, scared dog rehabilitation, and heartwarming pet videos about helping a shut down puppy feel safe.

00:00This is Beans and he's terrified of us, but not because of anything we've done, because he's barely ever been
00:07in contact with a human before.
00:09So when we reached for him, he had no idea what we were, whether we'd come to help him or
00:15hurt him.
00:16We've rescued a lot of scared dogs, but every one of them at least knew what a human was.
00:23Beans doesn't.
00:24Nobody's broken his trust because nobody's ever had it, which means we'll be the first people he learns to trust
00:30or the first he learns to fear.
00:33Right now, he won't let us within arm's reach.
00:36That's where we start.
00:37Our hope is that Kobe and Moki can show him what we can't, that people are safe.
00:43But we've never done anything like this before.
00:45We don't know how he'll react to us or if we can reach him at all.
01:01Beans just spent two straight days in the back of this van.
01:05You're about to see just how terrified this poor guy is.
01:09So the first big test, we're going to put him into the garden and let's see if he'll actually step
01:14foot on the grass.
01:17There you go, Beans.
01:20There, darling.
01:21Oh, bless him.
01:25There he goes.
01:26Oh.
01:27If an empty yard scares him this much, meeting our other dogs is going to be tough.
01:32We're going to give him some space, let him sniff around.
01:36As you can tell by the night time, it is late at night, so we're not going to get him
01:41to meet the dogs today.
01:43He's sniffing, which is good.
01:44He hasn't gone in like, he didn't call it.
01:46He's super scared, though.
01:48He's tails so tight, bless him.
01:50So the plan tonight is to have him downstairs with the other dogs in a crate and we'll see how
01:58he gets on.
01:59Oh, Kobe's up.
02:01Kobe, go into your bed, babe.
02:03You're not meeting him tonight.
02:06He's exploring right now, which is good, but he then shut down and tried to hide from us.
02:12Okay, we've been out for about 20 minutes.
02:14No movement, bless him.
02:15He's just in the corner.
02:17Sorry, darling.
02:18Yeah, approach very carefully.
02:19He's very scared.
02:20We're hoping he's not going to run out right now.
02:24Oh.
02:26It's all right.
02:27Good boy.
02:29You're all right.
02:30Good boy.
02:31We don't want to scare Beans too much here.
02:34He probably hasn't had much human interaction, so how we deal with early encounters with him
02:39is crucial to make sure we don't leave a bad first impression.
02:43I'm going to start using the word up.
02:45Yeah.
02:46Good idea.
02:48Good boy.
02:49All right.
02:50I'm going to get your bottom up.
02:51Nice and gently.
02:53Good boy.
02:54Speak to him.
02:55He's backed himself up.
02:56Good boy, Beans.
02:57Oh, good boy.
02:58Good boy.
02:58He's backed himself up into thistles.
03:00Good boy.
03:01Oh, my God.
03:02You're so light.
03:03Sorry, darling.
03:04Good boy, Beans.
03:05What is that?
03:07Is he pooping?
03:08Is he pooping?
03:09Oh, my God.
03:10I just touched a nugget.
03:11Can we see your hand?
03:12No.
03:16Do you know what's funny?
03:16Oh, my God.
03:17You need to go get a wipe now.
03:18I've just touched poo.
03:20Straight out the bum.
03:21But Ella was like, I want to do this because he's a puppy.
03:24I need to go get a wipe immediately.
03:27Immediately.
03:28Put that camera down.
03:29Guys, this is not content you want to see.
03:30Go get a poo bag.
03:32The first thing we did was get him into an escape-proof harness.
03:36He's so scared and could easily bolt.
03:38So we wanted to make sure we could safely get hold of him if we needed to.
03:42Ella, you can see, has covered all of the crates so that these dogs don't bark or growl at poor
03:48Beans.
03:49Here you go, darling.
03:51He's now going to be able to go in his crate.
03:53There you go.
03:57And he's done a really good job there because he's also got a little area to come out and have
04:01an accident if he has one.
04:02I'm just going to wash my hands quick because it's covered in doo-doo.
04:06Give me a kiss.
04:07No, go away.
04:08Yeah, he's absolutely terrified.
04:10Bless me.
04:11You can see he's now just trying to avoid all eye contact.
04:14What will be interesting is seeing how he is tomorrow morning and if the dogs will actually help him come
04:21out of his shell.
04:22But I think it looks like it may be really hard to get this one to like people.
04:27But as always, we're going to try our best with him.
04:30So we put Beans to bed.
04:31Ella actually had a great idea of leaving some of our clothes in his crate so he can get used
04:36to the smell of us.
04:38And hopefully this boy's got some time to sleep after a probably quite stressful journey.
04:43We'll see you in the morning, Beans.
04:45Beans did fall asleep, which is good.
04:47But we have five other dogs here for him to meet.
04:50So we need to come up with a plan.
04:52What we're going to do is let all of these dogs out first.
04:55Let them go to the toilet.
04:57Then we're going to put Beans on the other side of the gate.
04:59We put all of our other dogs outside, cleaned up all the poo, let them stretch their legs, then put
05:05them back in.
05:06And now it's time for phase two of our plan.
05:09Okay, we're going to let Beans out.
05:11Now I, I've had an absolute genius idea.
05:13Now he's obviously not going to, well, pretty sure he's not going to be scared of like dogs are aggressive.
05:20Maybe scared of dogs, not aggressive.
05:21He's a young puppy.
05:22He's clearly super submissive.
05:24We think we're going to put him outside and the same thing is going to happen as last night.
05:28And he's just going to be like really scared.
05:31So what we're going to do is we're actually going to bring him out with Kobe.
05:35Bring him out.
05:36Bring him out.
05:37Kobe's kind of like the perfect dog for this where he'll like sniff him, hopefully help him feel a bit
05:42more comfortable.
05:42And if the dog does somehow in one world go for Kobe, he'll be very good at like putting him
05:48in his place without actually attacking him.
05:50So we're going to bring Kobe out and Beans.
05:54Look at Kobe's side eye.
05:56He's like, mum, you better not be touching another dog.
06:00We need to get Beans out of his crate.
06:02But since he's never been touched by a person, this has to be done slowly.
06:06One wrong move and we could lose his trust before we've even earned it.
06:10Oh, his buckle's caught.
06:12Sorry, darling.
06:14Good boy.
06:16Good boy.
06:17Oh, bless him.
06:18He's holding on to the bed.
06:21Okay.
06:22All right.
06:22All right.
06:23All right.
06:27Good boy.
06:28It's okay.
06:28I'm just going to hold his bum bum.
06:30Good boy.
06:31It's all right.
06:32I'd grab his harness because he'll still come out.
06:35That's all so bad.
06:36I'm sorry, darling.
06:37I'm sorry.
06:38Good boy.
06:38It's okay.
06:39He really didn't want to come out of his crate, but we know that dogs don't like going
06:43to the toilet in the space where they sleep.
06:45So let's put him outside and see if he's any braver than yesterday after a good night's
06:50sleep.
06:50Come, Kobe.
06:51Come.
06:51Let's go to the other side of the gate.
06:53Look at him.
06:58That's adorable.
06:59Does Kobe think it's like a new brother or something?
07:03He's just like, who's this weird dog that mum's holding?
07:06Good boy, Kobe.
07:08You don't even like puppies.
07:09You don't even like puppies.
07:09I don't know.
07:11Let's get Kobe and Beans to the other side and hopefully Beans isn't as scared as that.
07:17We put Beans down.
07:19This is a big moment.
07:20With Kobe here, will he finally find a bit of confidence?
07:25So hopefully, oh, he's gone straight into the bush.
07:30Kobe was like, I thought we were having a meet and greet.
07:33I'm wondering whether we leave him there and just let our dogs out so they can sniff it
07:40from the fence, I reckon.
07:40We're going to bring Moki out to meet him.
07:43She's a little more playful, so we're hoping she'll help Beans bring out his playful puppy
07:47side.
07:48Just let Moki straight through so she can have a sniff of him.
07:51He's buried himself right underneath the wooden thing.
07:54Let's see.
07:55Kobe couldn't get through to him.
07:57If Moki can't either, we're running out of ways to show Beans he's safe.
08:01You can see he has, bless him, buried himself like under the gate.
08:06Oh, bless him, his head's there.
08:08So the reason we put that gate there is because one of our other dogs was digging a hole and
08:12laying in it.
08:13So I put a gate there and Moki's like, oh.
08:15That was our second dog and our second try.
08:19Beans won't come out for Kobe and he won't come out for Moki.
08:22If our own dogs can't reach him, we need to do something different.
08:26Okay, new plan.
08:28We're going to set up a new crate area for Beans and then try and get him out that bush.
08:33Bigger crate, although we said the bigger crate won't be as comfy, but it's basically
08:37so that he has an area to go to the toilet because we don't think he's actually even
08:42gone to the toilet yet, which is pretty insane.
08:45All right, we've got Mr. Beans here.
08:48I'm sorry to take away your little hiding hole.
08:51He's so cute.
08:52Thing is, obviously, usually if he wanted to be out here, that's fine, but because he
08:57doesn't met the rest of our dogs.
08:59Well, it's more so that he can actually decompress somewhere safe and we can keep an eye on
09:02him.
09:05Come on then.
09:08JJ.
09:09What?
09:10He obviously isn't going to respond to that blessing.
09:12He's so scared.
09:14He's not going to be like, oh, I'm going to come out there.
09:16I'm just going to leave for a second.
09:17Yeah, just give him a sec.
09:19Yeah.
09:21Again, we really don't want to make him any more nervous around people.
09:25So I'm putting a little tension on his lead, then easing off and giving him time.
09:29We want him to learn that he's safe with us and we're not going to hurt him.
09:33You're putting yourself in a bit of a pickle there, mate.
09:35He's gone all submissive, that's why.
09:37Yeah, I think he's just dropping.
09:39He's frozen.
09:40Yeah.
09:41I'm having a little sniff of the lead.
09:43It's okay, darling.
09:45I did the same thing here.
09:46Put some tension on his harness, then let go and then eventually went for the scoop to
09:51pick him up.
09:52Good boy.
09:53That's all right.
09:55Good boy.
09:57You okay, JJ?
09:58Yeah, I've got you.
09:59It's all right, darling.
10:00I've got him with my right hand, which is now a lot easier to actually get him out.
10:03We're going to go for it, Beans.
10:05Okay, I'll do it very slowly.
10:06They're kind of stuck in a very unawkward place.
10:09Good boy.
10:11There he goes.
10:14It just breaks your heart seeing a dog this scared and so young.
10:19But now I've got him in my arms, Ella notices something.
10:22When you hold him, I can't lie, he looks so much more comfortable.
10:26It's really strange.
10:28Let me try one thing with him.
10:29Because he actually seems more comfortable in my arms, I thought, let's try and bring
10:33Kobe back in and see if Beans shows any interest.
10:37Kobe, come.
10:38He's actually looking around a lot more now.
10:40What?
10:40I don't know.
10:41Kobe's jealous.
10:42I don't know if that was a good idea.
10:45His ears have gone back.
10:46Yeah, he's shaking a bit.
10:47But go on, Kobe.
10:49Good boy.
10:50Keep your distance.
10:51Good boy.
10:53Kobe's like, I don't know what you're saying, Dad.
10:55Just here for good times, aren't you, Kobe?
10:57Good boy.
10:57I just wanted to see that there's another dog here.
11:00He is having a bit of a look around on his floor.
11:03It's okay, Dan.
11:03It's all right.
11:05Which is good.
11:08It's okay.
11:08So we're obviously not going to do too much with him, because he still needs to decompress
11:14after his move.
11:16I've got an idea.
11:18Dogs will not eat food if they're super scared.
11:21So this is a really good way to test how uncomfortable Beans actually is right now.
11:34He's probably starving.
11:41He's obviously scared, but the fact that he isn't scared enough to eat is a really good sign.
11:46He's also probably starving, because he said he's a bit skinny, right?
11:49Yeah, he's a bit skinny.
11:50Do you know what it is?
11:52He looked really overwhelmed when he was on the floor.
11:54He was pinned back, really uncertain.
11:56We've got building going on, that's why his ears are going back at the moment.
11:59When I held him yesterday, his ears were up.
12:01He was kind of in a sniff of the air.
12:03It's almost like he's comfortable in close proximity.
12:07And then when you picked him up just then, he did exactly the same.
12:10It's kind of like, oh, it's a viewing perch.
12:12He's doing so well taking treats from us, so we thought this could be a good chance to
12:17help him feel even more comfortable around people.
12:20Let's see if he'll eat his breakfast while I hold him.
12:23Oh, what's all your food motivated, I can tell.
12:26All right.
12:27What's that?
12:29We've got his breakfast.
12:31His eyes just went up.
12:34Good boy.
12:35The fact that he's eating on my lap is absolutely adorable.
12:37I literally feel like I've got a baby.
12:39Soon come.
12:40What do you mean soon come?
12:41We've done it.
12:42He's your baby.
12:43No, we're going to make a human baby one time.
12:46Yeah.
12:47One day.
12:47This is.
12:48This is Wolverine.
12:49Hairy baby.
12:51That's what Wolverine is.
12:52Do you know who Wolverine is?
12:53Marvel?
12:54Yeah.
12:55That is really, really good because I think this kind of shows that he just hasn't had
13:01human interaction.
13:04So he's scared because he's not sure as opposed to humans have done something bad to him.
13:09I think because he's associated with this, I think for dinner, we do the same thing.
13:14Just have us and touching, maybe even hand feeding him.
13:18I mean, it's great that he's food motivated.
13:21Yeah.
13:21Because his eyes literally came out of his head when I bent down.
13:24Yeah.
13:24Yeah, today's just a big decompression day for him.
13:28We're over the moon with how that went.
13:31We're just in shock he made progress with us already, but we don't want to push him too
13:36much.
13:37So we showed him his new crate and gave him a chew to help him decompress.
13:41So we took the chew and let him rest.
13:43We then let all of our other dogs out to give them a chance to get some sniffs of beans.
13:48So what we want is just nice and calm.
13:52Stella's gone to have a look.
13:53He's just paying them absolutely no attention, blessing.
13:57So the reason we wanted to do this is so that he can actually just decompress.
14:03He's got space to go to the toilet.
14:05We haven't left him outside.
14:07The dogs can get a sniff.
14:08He now knows there's dogs here.
14:10One thing we can do as well is I've put a blank, a small towel in there that he's lying
14:16on
14:16so we can do some scent swapping later or tomorrow.
14:20Good idea.
14:22So scent swapping is basically we can put the blanket that he's been on in these dogs'
14:27crates.
14:29Or just even out on the floor so they can all have a sniff and then we can swap one
14:32of
14:33their blankets or towels or something and put it in there.
14:36So we left beans alone to decompress for the rest of the day but now it's time to feed him
14:41dinner but question is will he react the same way as earlier?
14:45All right.
14:46We're getting beans out for dinner.
14:48What you don't know guys is that we just fought over who's going to hold the dog.
14:53It's okay.
15:01Mind his little head?
15:02I've got his little head.
15:06Right, I'm going to sit with him in the conservatory and I'll get his dinner.
15:10We have got Mr. Beans, he's smelling the food so let's see if he eats it again.
15:18I'm going to put it right there for him.
15:24Now that is really good.
15:26And you'll see in a little bit we've also made a little pen for him outside so that he's
15:33got somewhere where he can roam around and go to the toilet.
15:36Can't really hide because obviously we don't want him to just shut down in a bush again.
15:40I've actually started hand feeding him just to associate our hands and us with something
15:46positive.
15:48He's sniffing for more.
15:49So that went even better than yesterday but what will he be like outside now that he's
15:55got a little pen area?
15:58So I'm going to put him down and I'm going to come down with him.
16:00Every time we've put Beans down he shuts down or runs for cover.
16:04This pen has nowhere to hide so whatever he does next we're about to see how he really
16:09feels about this world.
16:13That's good that he's moving around.
16:17He's looking for somewhere to hide I've never seen a dog's tail so tucked.
16:22So probably the large garden places to hide was probably overwhelming for him.
16:26Right so I'm going to wait for him to wee then I'm going to give him a treat.
16:28This is literally the first time we've seen him go to the toilet since yesterday.
16:46We're so proud of Beans it really feels like he's starting to trust people.
16:50He's doing so well but we didn't want to overwhelm him so we thought we'd change things up a
16:56bit.
16:56Okay we're going to stop sort of like putting pressure on him and we're just going to leave
17:01him out here because I wonder if without the pressure he will eventually start exploring.
17:07And we brought out Kobe and Moki to help show him what confident dogs do in the garden.
17:12Go on Kobe out.
17:13Good boy.
17:14Yeah he'll be scared because they're big dogs but you never know it could uh it could eventually
17:18actually help him.
17:19It may give him confidence that there's other dogs here.
17:24That's adorable.
17:26You've got to remember being a puppy he may be quite a visual learner.
17:30Right let's leave him.
17:31Kobe let's go inside clean these bowls up and then we can keep an eye on him from inside.
17:39Spy on him.
17:40Now this is amazing because once we left Beans he was actually brave enough to start exploring.
17:46Well don't go too close because he obviously feels a bit more confident.
17:50Yeah no I'm hiding like behind a wall as I film him.
17:54Oh he just shook off.
17:56Brilliant.
17:56Brilliant.
17:58That's the first time I've seen him shake off.
18:00Even all this sniffing will help him decompress.
18:03Kobe and Moki then went outside again and I couldn't believe Beans reaction.
18:08So I'm trying to stay like behind a wall and not get too close.
18:11He's doing an appeasement kiss as I can see from here.
18:13Is he?
18:14Yeah.
18:16Oh my god that is adorable.
18:20He's like oh hi guys.
18:22He does not like the smell of him.
18:24Yeah Moki doesn't like the smell.
18:25This is the first time he's like looked up curious isn't hiding.
18:29He's sitting up quite tall.
18:30Yeah he is which is really good.
18:32This then seems like the perfect opportunity to properly introduce Brownie.
18:36He's another scared rescue we have but he has the most amazing dog manners.
18:41Alright so Beans can now see another dog.
18:45And I really trust Brownie.
18:48The only thing is is obviously Brownie is quite scared so we don't want Beans to start copying his behaviour
18:53but I'm just hoping he will go up to Beans.
18:55So they showed some interest in each other.
18:58Not a lot but that's fine.
19:00We just want both of them to know each dog is there.
19:02And then Beans actually started showing us there is a playful puppy inside him by destroying our grass.
19:08We've got some momentum right now so I wanted to try something.
19:12I'm gonna test something and I'm actually gonna go into the little area with Kobe and some treats.
19:19Come Kobe.
19:20And let's see if he decides to copy any of us.
19:23Sit.
19:24Good boy.
19:25I think he's quite a visual learner.
19:29So let's see what happens at weight.
19:32All I want to do is just give Kobe some treats so that he can see what a confident dog
19:40is like.
19:42I'm gonna throw him one if he just wants to chill there that's okay.
19:45There you go.
19:46This is really interesting.
19:47You can see when I throw treats towards him he doesn't flinch.
19:51It shows us that Beans likely hasn't been abused.
19:54He just doesn't understand if a person is going to hurt him or not.
19:58And now we have a chance to start from a fresh slate and make sure this dog knows humans are
20:03safe.
20:04He's already looking a little bit more like curious.
20:08He's actually looking at me.
20:09Good boy.
20:10Well done.
20:13Moving around when I do my bad throwing which is really good.
20:17That is probably technically Beans' first training session.
20:24Now we wouldn't usually do it this early.
20:26Good boy.
20:27But he's just so scared.
20:29And I think he does want to be brave.
20:32You can tell he wants to be a puppy.
20:34He's just super scared.
20:35And something as simple as that can really really help.
20:39After this little session with Beans went so well we left him outside for a bit.
20:43I then came back to him and captured this.
20:49Yes.
20:50That is his first ever tail wag at a person.
20:53Honestly feel like an emotional parent right now.
20:56But Beans has already come so far today.
20:59So we made a plan for the rest of the day.
21:01We've just been speaking and thought like how much puppies need rest anyway in general.
21:08And because he spent the last two days in the back of a van coming to Macedonia.
21:11He probably needs like more than a normal adult dog to catch up on sleep.
21:17So he probably needs a good like week to catch up on sleep.
21:20Yeah.
21:21But also he'll be decompressing as well.
21:23Yeah.
21:23Really terrifying journey for him.
21:25But you said he had a really good sleep earlier.
21:27Yeah.
21:27He was snoring earlier.
21:28He's still in the same position.
21:31But you know we've just exposed him to a lot.
21:33He had his first wee.
21:34He met Kobe and Moki properly.
21:36He had some training with the treats.
21:38But we obviously don't want to do too much.
21:40So now I'm going to very gently get him.
21:44And put him back into his crate now.
21:46He didn't do a poo.
21:47Which obviously we wanted.
21:49Right so.
21:49The first thing I'm going to do although he doesn't like it.
21:52Is sniffing for treats.
21:54I'm going to touch him.
21:56Just so he's licking my fingers.
21:59It's because you've got pate on the hand.
22:01I'm going to touch him even though he doesn't want to be touched.
22:03Just because obviously I need to touch him to pick him up.
22:06We're also going to start teaching the word up every time we pick him up.
22:09Because it looks like we're going to be picking him up quite a lot.
22:13In fact I'm going to do one two three just to let him know.
22:16One.
22:16Two.
22:18Three.
22:20Just so he can start to learn to expect the hand.
22:23And then we'll just leave him to it.
22:25Moki the absolute clean freak.
22:27Spotted where another dog weed and tried to cover it.
22:30Honestly this dog is something else.
22:32She's ridiculous.
22:33You guys know that Moki is like the biggest clean freak ever.
22:36She's now trying to do like gardening.
22:39Alright we're going to do it now mate.
22:41One.
22:42Two.
22:43Three.
22:46There you go.
22:47I'm going to pick you up now.
22:49Bit of pressure.
22:50Up.
22:55Like a light package.
22:57We're going to leave the pen up because I think that was really good for him.
23:01Yeah.
23:02How does he look?
23:02He looks alright when he gets carried doesn't he?
23:04He looks...
23:05He doesn't look like he's having the best time but he doesn't look absolutely terrified.
23:08We'll put him here.
23:10I'm going to start one of those straight crates.
23:12Good boy.
23:15And now he can go back to sleep decompress.
23:18Because realistically honestly we've probably already done too much for his first day.
23:22Yeah I think we'll probably leave it now.
23:23Yeah.
23:24So now we're literally just going to leave him to sleep for the rest of the day.
23:27And to be honest I'm actually really hoping he goes to the toilet in his crate.
23:29Because he must be dying for a poo.
23:31The next day we put beans outside in the morning and this happens.
23:35In two whole days he's finally having his first poo.
23:39Oh my god that is amazing.
23:41Thank god for that.
23:42He still hasn't had an accident in his crate overnight.
23:45But that is his first poo.
23:46Oh he's trying to bury it.
23:48Don't worry mate we'll clean that up.
23:50He's like in my pen.
23:53I then decided to come outside and say hello to beans and he did this.
23:58Hello beans.
24:01Hello.
24:02Oh good boy.
24:04Right I'm going to come in.
24:06Excuse me beans.
24:07Good boy.
24:09Just look at that little tail wag and that smile.
24:13Beans still has a long way to go.
24:15But I really think he's starting to realise people aren't so bad after all.
24:19Moments like this are why we rescue dogs.
24:22But there are so many other dogs out there just like beans.
24:25And we want to help as many as we can.
24:28If you'd like to be part of that you can scan the QR code on screen to donate.
24:32Every bit of support helps us keep giving dogs like beans the chance they deserve.
24:38The dogs started coming outside and this is the first time he wagged his tail at them too.
24:43I thought I'd try my luck and go outside again but this time his reaction made my heart melt.
24:49Hello Beanie boy.
24:52Hello.
24:54Hello Beanie boy.
24:56Hello.
24:56Oh my god.
24:58Is that a puppy in there that I see?
25:02Hello Beanie boy.
25:04Is that a puppy I can see?
25:05Okay let's see.
25:06Do you want some treats?
25:07Oh that's brave.
25:09There you go.
25:11Good boy.
25:12I feel like we've got a chance to really show him humans can be trusted.
25:18Because it feels like we're starting from a pretty much fresh slate.
25:23Because I don't think he's had pretty much any human interaction.
25:26It's clearly really starting to come out of his shell now.
25:29But I'm giving him the choice to come up to me.
25:32Because I don't want to overwhelm him.
25:36Come on then Beanie boy.
25:38Come on.
25:40Good boy.
25:42We're actually going to attempt to walk him later on in this video.
25:45But for now I'm just so happy to see him being a cheeky puppy.
25:49I then decided to see how confident he actually is.
25:52And opened up the door to his pen.
25:54Okay I've just opened the crate.
25:57And Beanie's decided to come out.
25:59Now I wanted to keep his world as small as possible.
26:03But he decided to venture out.
26:06And that is amazing.
26:08Because look at him.
26:10He is moving a lot more.
26:12Than before.
26:13You can see his crate is open.
26:14So he can go back in if he gets scared.
26:17He's doing really good.
26:19Wow.
26:20Look at that.
26:23Come on Beans.
26:25He's very confused right now.
26:27I think he just wants to go inside.
26:28But.
26:29He is exploring right now.
26:30Look at him.
26:31You can see he is exploring.
26:33But he's only staying in the first quarter of the garden.
26:36Which is obviously fine.
26:37But we still have some way to go.
26:39He's being very very brave.
26:41Beans.
26:43Hello.
26:45You alright aren't ya?
26:47Hello.
26:49Oh.
26:49He's getting a bit scared.
26:51I'm just gonna come here.
26:52It's okay mate.
26:54Good boy.
26:55There you go.
26:56Good boy.
26:58He's gonna go back into his little pen.
27:00Oh he's comfortable there.
27:02I opened the door to the conservatory.
27:05And look at him go.
27:06For the first time.
27:08Beans walked all the way back to his crate by himself.
27:11He's starting to get a little more energy now.
27:14But after all that exploring.
27:15We thought he'd be ready for a rest.
27:17But then he did something we were not expecting.
27:25So he really went for joy there.
27:28We think he may be barrier reactive.
27:30Or he was trying to protect the space where he feels safest.
27:34We're still getting to know him.
27:35And this wasn't the only bump along the way.
27:38Last night was not a fun one for Ella.
27:42How many times were you up?
27:44Uh.
27:45Three.
27:45I think.
27:46Three times last night.
27:48Because.
27:49Mr. Beans here.
27:50Was basically up a lot more during the night.
27:53And destroying his crate.
27:54This is actually.
27:55Oh and his bowl.
27:56Oh my god.
27:57Oh yeah.
27:57Although that wasn't fun for Ella.
27:59This is actually a good thing.
28:01Because it shows that he's actually starting to get more comfortable.
28:04And he's acting a bit more like a puppy.
28:07So today.
28:08Well because we've been going at his own pace.
28:09And he's clearly trying to tell us.
28:11Guys.
28:12I've decompressed now.
28:13Like.
28:13I don't need to be in my crate all the time.
28:16We're going to start doing more things with him.
28:18To help him confidence build.
28:20And naturally.
28:21That will just help tire him out anyway.
28:23The reason we've got his crate covered all the time now.
28:25Is because he isn't the biggest fan of other dogs.
28:28Well.
28:29Go past.
28:30We think he's barrier reactive.
28:31Because he does react when the dogs run past his crate.
28:35If he can see them.
28:36If he's covered.
28:36He doesn't care at all.
28:37He's just snoozing in there right now.
28:39So.
28:40Lots more confidence building to do today.
28:43And hopefully naturally.
28:45That will tire him out.
28:46Obviously everything's going to be at his own pace.
28:48But let's see how it goes.
28:49First.
28:50We're introducing Beans to someone new.
28:52This is Izzy.
28:53Who helps us care for the dogs.
28:55We want to gently build his confidence around other people.
28:59Because later in this video.
29:00He'll be meeting a potential adopter.
29:03And we obviously don't want him to be really uncomfortable around them.
29:06So you can see how scared he is.
29:09Of other people.
29:11Yeah.
29:11But when me and Ella first got him.
29:13He was like this.
29:14Really?
29:15Yeah.
29:15When I put him on your lap.
29:16Your feet.
29:17He's like skin and bone as well.
29:19He was taking treats from Izzy on my lap.
29:21Which is great.
29:22So we decided to go to the next step.
29:24And put him on Izzy's lap.
29:26But.
29:26This may have been a step too far for him.
29:29Well done.
29:31Hey.
29:31He's a lot more unsure now.
29:33Bless him.
29:34Good boy.
29:35You don't want the chicken.
29:36You're scared.
29:36Is he shaking or not?
29:37No he's not shaking.
29:38Yeah.
29:38I think a lot of the time with him.
29:39It's just.
29:41Him realising that.
29:42You're not going to hurt him.
29:42Like he's okay.
29:43Yeah.
29:44And then eventually he will be fine.
29:45I think he's slowly working out that he's okay.
29:47But he's not ready to eat the chicken yet.
29:49No.
29:50He was a little unsure on Izzy's lap.
29:52And that's fine.
29:53We just progressed him too quickly.
29:55So we went back a step.
29:56And he was happy about that.
29:58I mean.
29:58He did great.
29:59Someone completely new.
30:01And Izzy even managed to take him back to his crate.
30:04Good boy.
30:04It's okay.
30:05It's okay.
30:06Just to get used to somebody else handling him.
30:08Oh.
30:10It's ready.
30:11Oh.
30:13Close it up for him.
30:14Good boy.
30:16Well done Beans.
30:17Beans has come such a long way.
30:20Looking back at when he first arrived.
30:21It's so amazing to see how much his confidence has grown.
30:25But if we really feel confident in Beans going to a forever home.
30:29There's one thing every dog owner wants to do.
30:32And that's walk them.
30:33So.
30:34Let's give it a try.
30:36Hi guys.
30:37We have got Beans.
30:39And we're going to be taking him outside with Moki.
30:44Basically.
30:45Just so that.
30:47He can get used to.
30:48Being outside now.
30:50Now we're obviously probably going to hold him for the majority of the time.
30:53However.
30:53We're very likely not going to put him down.
30:57Because.
30:58Obviously he's going to be super scared.
31:00But this does give him a chance.
31:02To actually experience the world a little bit.
31:05And most importantly.
31:07To tire him out tonight.
31:08So that you get a better night sleep after last night.
31:12Okay.
31:12So.
31:12Ollie's looking around a lot.
31:14Which is good.
31:14He's looking for his escape plan.
31:16Yeah.
31:17We have got him.
31:18Leathered up.
31:18In case he does decide to.
31:20Make a break for it.
31:21But also.
31:22The reason we wanted to bring Moki.
31:23Was so that he could see.
31:25A confident dog.
31:27Like moving around.
31:28And basically just be like.
31:30A bit of an example for him.
31:32So that hopefully.
31:33Eventually.
31:34We'll be able to put him down.
31:35And he can watch Moki go.
31:36Alright.
31:37So.
31:38Now.
31:39Mr. Beans.
31:40Let's walk.
31:41Oh.
31:41Nice.
31:42Good girl.
31:42Good girl.
31:44Now Mr. Beans can just watch Moki.
31:46Good boy.
31:48And be outside.
31:49It's pretty nuts to think.
31:50Obviously his whole world is just like.
31:52The house in the crate right now.
31:54He doesn't even realise there's an entire another world out here.
31:56She's very happy.
31:57She's having a good time.
31:58He's having a good look at everything isn't he.
32:00I'm going to put him here.
32:01But I'm going to make sure he feels very protected.
32:04Good boy.
32:05Since he's super scared.
32:06There you go.
32:07Yeah.
32:08Good boy.
32:09Good girl Moki.
32:10That's it Moki.
32:11Block the camera.
32:11Good girl.
32:14Good boy.
32:14So you can see.
32:15His ears are going up.
32:16He's having a good sniff of everything.
32:18Oh.
32:18Good boy.
32:20Hi.
32:22Hi.
32:22Hi.
32:23I mean what a difference compared to when we first got him already.
32:26He's shaking quite a bit.
32:27That's alright.
32:28He can just stay here right now.
32:30Yeah.
32:30All he needs to do is just take everything in.
32:32Good boy.
32:33Good boy.
32:33Aw.
32:33He wants more reassurance.
32:35Oh bend down for him.
32:36He's doing very very good.
32:38Aw.
32:40Ella's comforting beans.
32:42Making sure he moved at his own pace.
32:44And then he did this.
32:45It's important not to underestimate the work that Moki's actually doing here.
32:50Oh.
32:50Because him just being able to see a confident dog.
32:54That he knows.
32:57Hi.
32:57Shows him that this is a fun thing to do.
32:59Hi.
33:00Hi.
33:00You brave boy.
33:02You've been very brave.
33:03I couldn't believe it.
33:05After being here for about 20 minutes.
33:07Beans actually started to enjoy himself.
33:11Oh my god he wants to follow Moki.
33:13He wants to go with Moki.
33:13Yeah.
33:14But he wants to go to her area.
33:17Yeah.
33:17See and this is once again showing how much having a confident dog here.
33:22Right.
33:23Oh he's having a wee.
33:24That's really good.
33:25Honestly completely in shock.
33:27I didn't think he would be so brave for his first ever walk.
33:30I mean look at him.
33:31He even walked back to the house all by himself.
33:34And then once we got home his bravery just continued.
33:38Oh.
33:39Come on.
33:39Come on Beans mate.
33:40You need to come over.
33:41Good boy.
33:42I wasn't sure he was going to be brave enough to do that.
33:44So I think we were right in guessing that he was basically trying to tell us I've decompressed
33:50last night.
33:51I've got more energy now.
33:52It's pretty insane to see how different he is now and look how much he's exploring.
34:00So far he hasn't gone for any of the other dogs either which is obviously good.
34:04We think that he's getting a bit, well he's resource guarding his safe space.
34:10But right now he seems to be all good with the dogs and everything.
34:14Which is good.
34:15Good boy.
34:17And you can see he's a lot braver now.
34:20This is actually the first time he's properly explored the lounge.
34:22And he's having a really good explore.
34:25Hopefully he doesn't go toilet.
34:26Not done Beans.
34:27You're being very brave ain't you mate.
34:32That's good.
34:33Brownie went near him.
34:34He didn't care.
34:35Oh.
34:36But look at that waggy tail.
34:40If that waggy tail isn't worth you hitting that subscribe button then I don't know what
34:45is.
34:46So things are going really well.
34:48Maybe a little too well.
34:50Because Moki had something to say about Beans being up in her personal space.
34:57So that we don't mind.
35:00Because that is Moki just teaching her puppy boundaries.
35:03And she didn't like him too close.
35:06Now she obviously didn't actually buy him.
35:09But we don't mind that from Moki because that is how puppies learn.
35:13Okay.
35:13We're going to be putting Beans up for adoption soon.
35:16Because just look at this.
35:18This is truly the first time he's been able to be himself.
35:21Run free.
35:23And not be scared.
35:24Come on Beans.
35:25Come on Beans.
35:27Good boy.
35:29Hello.
35:30Come on then.
35:32Good boy.
35:33Oh look at that.
35:34That is one happy puppy.
35:37Exploring everything now.
35:39Actually being a puppy.
35:41Come on Beans.
35:41Come on.
35:42Come on.
35:45Wow.
35:46And then let me show you.
35:47Beans.
35:48Come on.
35:49He knows his name.
35:50You open this up.
35:52And look.
35:53Come on then Beans.
35:54Good boy.
35:55Goes inside happily.
35:57Beans is officially up for adoption.
36:02He's been up for a few days.
36:04And how many people have inquired?
36:05Loads haven't we?
36:06Loads.
36:06We've had non-stop inquiries for him.
36:08But we are obviously being really careful about who he'll end up going to.
36:14Simply because we've obviously done well to get him to trust people.
36:19Now we just need to make sure that he goes to somebody that understands that he needs his decompression time.
36:25He needs to not be forced into anything too quickly.
36:27It's coming into the evening now.
36:29And we don't want Ella to have another restless night.
36:31So Operation Tire Up Beans is underway.
36:35Hello mate.
36:36You gonna come out?
36:37Come on then.
36:39Hello.
36:40Alright you want some help for getting out.
36:42Okay.
36:42Beans.
36:44Up.
36:44Up.
36:49Alright.
36:50I've got Mr Bean with me.
36:55I'm gonna put him down outside so we can go to the toilet.
36:58Come on dogs.
37:00And then.
37:02I'm gonna stay out with him.
37:04And do the fun job of picking up some poo.
37:07Hello mate.
37:09Hello Mr Bean.
37:11You get so excited to see you now.
37:14Hello mate.
37:15Mwah.
37:18You been having a good sleep.
37:20We've been putting him in his crate lots for a lot of rest.
37:23Because he needs it.
37:25Hello Mokey Moo.
37:26Come on Beans.
37:27What I do now.
37:29Is I'll go for a little walk down the garden.
37:32Gives him a bit of confidence to start moving.
37:35And that usually means he's then able to go to the toilet.
37:39So you can already see him sniffing around which is good.
37:41Good boy mate.
37:43Hello Mr Bean.
37:46Good boy.
37:47Come on then.
37:48He's very good at following me.
37:49I think he gets a lot of confidence from me.
37:52And now it's time to just let him explore.
37:55And basically not let him sleep.
37:57For at least a good hour.
37:59Hello.
38:01So that you're nice and tired for tonight.
38:03Hey.
38:04Look at that tail.
38:05Look at that waggy tail.
38:06Come on then mate.
38:07Oh good shake.
38:08He wants to go back inside.
38:09You're not going back inside Beans.
38:11Because you're gonna wake everyone up.
38:13Come on mate.
38:24Come on.
38:25Come on.
38:27Oh look at those little prances.
38:29Whoa.
38:29Not the poo bag.
38:31Beans.
38:32Come on.
38:34Come on.
38:36Yeah.
38:37I think he's very tired after today.
38:40Because he has done a lot.
38:42Good boy.
38:43Oh.
38:44Look at that paw.
38:47Okay.
38:47Beans is now in his crate.
38:49After being outside.
38:50For like a good hour and a bit.
38:52Good boy.
38:53So hopefully he's gonna have a nice.
38:55Relaxed night tonight.
38:57Please don't wake us up again Beans.
38:59Unfortunately Beans did wake us up crying.
39:02But I think it's because he needed the toilet.
39:04We put him outside.
39:05And luckily we all got a great night's sleep after that.
39:08The next day Beans did even more confidence building.
39:11He was wandering outside his crate with Izzy here.
39:14Although still a little unsure.
39:16But he did even take a treat from our house assistant Cam.
39:19Then Ella and Izzy took Beans.
39:21To see if they could progress on his confidence building with strangers.
39:25Yay.
39:27Good boy.
39:29You know what we can do?
39:30We can try his breakfast.
39:32Yeah.
39:33Beans is off to a great start.
39:35Ella then tried putting Beans on Izzy's lap again.
39:37And went to feed him breakfast.
39:39Let's see how brave he's feeling today.
39:40And then we're gonna feed him some breakfast.
39:45Oh yay.
39:46That's really good.
39:47That's really good.
39:47Do you want me to hold it?
39:49Yeah.
39:49Thanks.
39:50I'm gonna turn this around.
39:51It's got our numbers on it.
39:55Look at that.
39:56There we go.
39:57Good boy.
39:58Meanwhile Kobe.
40:00Who's already eating his breakfast.
40:03Hey Gabe.
40:03Look at our beanie boy go.
40:05Not only is he progressing with strangers.
40:07We then took him for a second walk.
40:09Let's see if he's progressing there too.
40:12Come on then.
40:14Good boy.
40:16Good boy Beans.
40:17Come on mate.
40:18Good boy yo.
40:20Oh.
40:21He's prancing.
40:22He's prancing.
40:23Good boy.
40:24Oh.
40:26Oh.
40:27Come on then.
40:28Yeah.
40:29Oh yeah.
40:30He's honestly nearly ready for his forever home.
40:33But before we get him ready for it.
40:35I just need to show you guys the chaos of our house in the evenings.
40:40Oh.
40:40Come on then.
40:46They all know to.
40:47Oh.
40:49I was about to say they all know to go into their craves.
40:51But they've just gotten a bit confused.
40:54Beans has gotten confused.
40:56There he goes.
40:58Good boy Beanie boy.
40:59Oh sorry I pulled your thing off.
41:00Good night Beanie boy.
41:01Good boy.
41:02The next day we then took Beans on another walk.
41:05This time upgrading him to a retractable lead so he can run free.
41:09But on this walk he met dogs and other people for the first time.
41:13So the question is will he be scared again?
41:16And look at him exploring.
41:17Look at that tail.
41:19Look at the body language.
41:21This is unbelievable to see.
41:24Just happy.
41:25Happy happy puppy which we love to see.
41:27So a person and their dog walked past and it really spooked Beans.
41:32At first he tried to run home and then went back into a safe space into a bush.
41:38We did not expect this.
41:41Okay so usually we obviously don't want to hold him every time he gets scared.
41:46But he felt really unsure so we just want to comfort him right now.
41:50Oh I'd put him down now and just let him get his bearings.
41:53He was pretty scared when I put him back down.
41:55But he did bounce back well and wanted to continue walking.
41:59So that's good because he's bouncing back and his resilience is good.
42:04We had no idea he was going to react like that.
42:08Look.
42:08There we go.
42:09Much better.
42:10So I've loosened the lead now because I feel confident again.
42:13And to be honest hopefully here we go.
42:14There's somebody else here.
42:16Yeah so what we're going to do.
42:17Come on Beans.
42:18So we've just seen somebody else.
42:19They're running towards us.
42:21Another person and their dog started coming towards us.
42:24But this time we kept Beans on a shorter lead and made sure he was right next to us for
42:28confidence.
42:29And obviously tucked him away on the side so he could just take it all in.
42:33Oh my god.
42:34So much better.
42:35So that person's gone in.
42:36Good boy.
42:37Walked off behind.
42:40But Beans has rebounded there really well.
42:42I think the other dog just kind of like spooked him a bit.
42:46Yeah.
42:46I think it shocked him a bit.
42:47It's a cyclist.
42:48Got it.
42:48We then saw a cyclist.
42:50It was apparently super busy in the woods today.
42:53He was a little unsure at first but once again bounced back really well.
42:58It's alright.
42:59Come on.
43:01I think with him he just needs lots of reassurance.
43:06But also at the same time not push him too much.
43:10Because although we want him to know that he's safe.
43:12We also don't want to push him out of his comfort zone too much.
43:15Beans then continued his walk and this was so important for him.
43:20To see him bouncing back after everything that scared him.
43:23He's a really brave boy.
43:24But then we got home and things didn't go so well.
43:31So I think Beans once again is protecting his safe space.
43:35He really went for Kobe's neck there.
43:38But luckily Ella caught it mid-lunge and he stopped.
43:40Here's the thing.
43:41When he's around the dogs he is completely fine.
43:44It's only when they're near his safe space.
43:47But this did get us thinking about who we should rehome Beans with.
43:50And after Ella did a home check this is what we thought.
43:53All right.
43:54House check done.
43:55How'd it go?
43:56Really well.
43:56They seem like they have a good understanding of what it's going to take to look after Beans
44:01and care for him.
44:03Now they don't have a dog but we didn't mind that.
44:06Simply because you've seen that Beans can get a bit territorial.
44:10Of his crate.
44:11Yeah.
44:11Of his safe space.
44:13And then usually if a dog, the new dog goes for their old dog straight away they're just
44:18like nope.
44:19I think if Beans was to get adopted to a family with another dog they need to have experience
44:23with either rescue dogs or have experience with dogs that might be starting to resource
44:28guard a bit of their personal items around other dogs.
44:31Tomorrow is a huge day because Beans has a meet and greet for a potential adoption.
44:37And honestly right now he absolutely stinks.
44:41So it's time for Beanie Boy's first ever shower.
44:44Okay we're going to take his harness off for the first time since we've actually got it.
44:48Ooh wow.
44:51Oh my god he looks absolutely adorable with nothing on.
44:53Howie.
44:54He looks adorable.
44:55All right Beanie Boy I know you're exploring.
44:58Why don't you turn the shower on?
44:59Yeah good idea.
45:00Let's turn the shower on so that folks can get used to the sound.
45:03Once we turn the shower on Beans actually went in by himself.
45:07The dog is never even calling me a monkey.
45:09He's licking my toes.
45:11Yeah.
45:11Are you ready Beans?
45:12Yeah boy.
45:16Oh my god he stinks.
45:19He really surprised us with how good he's being.
45:21You can see we put a little towel down so he doesn't slip.
45:24But the fact he's not freaking out shows how much he's starting to trust us now.
45:28He's well good at the shower isn't he?
45:30He is.
45:30I wonder if he's been washed before.
45:31I highly doubt that.
45:33He just trusts us now I think.
45:34He's not even shaking which I'm surprised.
45:36He's doing a lot of submission looks like.
45:38Yeah.
45:39I wouldn't say he loved it but he did really well.
45:41Shower done.
45:42Time to dry Mr Bean.
45:44Come on Beans.
45:49I'm so glad I just did my hair.
45:52Let's get you in a little puppy burrito.
45:56Smells like wet dog now.
45:57Yeah wet dog is always stinky.
45:59We took Beans downstairs.
46:01He had some mandatory post wash zoomies.
46:04And then we decided to take him on what could be his very last walk with us before his meet
46:09and greet.
46:10Come on then Beans.
46:12This way.
46:13Come on mate.
46:14Come on then.
46:16Come on.
46:17Oh very brave.
46:18He actually managed to walk out the front door by himself for the first time.
46:23So proud of him.
46:24Now let me explain where we're going to go.
46:27Seeing as this is potentially his last walk with us.
46:31We are going to go to somewhere new with him.
46:33It's basically just like a massive open field.
46:37And there may be some dogs there to see how he is with them.
46:41This is going to be fun.
46:42Okay.
46:42We have arrived to the fun amazing field.
46:47He's already so much braver.
46:51Look how much he's sniffing around.
46:53He does love this open space.
46:55You running Beans?
46:56What are we doing?
46:57Come on Beans.
46:57Come on.
46:59Good boy.
47:00Yeah.
47:01Come on Beans.
47:02Come on.
47:02Come on.
47:03Yeah.
47:04Good boy.
47:06Good girl.
47:08Beans.
47:08I don't even know what this is.
47:09Maybe like third or fourth walk has gone absolutely amazing.
47:13He is just a completely different dog from when we first picked him up.
47:18And the fact that he's even now able to enjoy these walks is just so nice to see.
47:24Now this may be his last walk with us.
47:27So all we need to do now is go home and prepare everything for his meet and greet tomorrow.
47:34I can't believe Beans might be off to his forever home tomorrow.
47:38If he does get adopted I think we're all going to be pretty emotional.
47:42So this could be our last morning together with Mr. B.
47:46Hello Beans.
47:47Hello Beans boy.
47:48Come on.
47:51Come on.
47:53You can do it.
47:54Yeah.
47:55Good boy.
47:57Oh here he is.
47:59Here's the boy at the moment.
48:02Look at the sails.
48:07Oh look at him.
48:10The difference from when we first got Beans.
48:13The fact that he was hiding in a bush.
48:15He didn't want us anywhere near him.
48:18Didn't trust people at all.
48:20Was absolutely terrified to this.
48:23Now jumping up wanting pets from both of us.
48:26It's just insane.
48:28And most importantly we think now ready for his forever home.
48:32So all we have to do now is get his adoption bag ready just in case he does go.
48:38So first we've got a brand new Lick Max.
48:40It's great for decompression.
48:42We've chucked a couple of puppy pads in just in case.
48:45He hasn't had an accident with us at all.
48:47But you never know.
48:47It's always useful to have.
48:49We've got a bag of puppy food to tie him over just for a couple of days in case they
48:54haven't got food ready.
48:56Brand new chew toy with a mokey hair.
48:59And a squeaky toy as well.
49:02And we are yet to put this on him.
49:04We'll put him on him before he goes.
49:05But we have bought him a black non-escape harness.
49:08We absolutely love these harnesses because of what I said.
49:10They are non-escape.
49:13So we're going to finally remove the pink one off him.
49:15Put this on him.
49:17And he'll be ready to go.
49:18By the way excuse us.
49:19We've literally just woken up.
49:20We haven't showered yet.
49:21Literally in my bonnet.
49:22We look homeless.
49:24Well I don't look homeless.
49:25I just look a girl in her bonnet.
49:28Alright.
49:28Beans has got his brand new black harness on him.
49:32I have made sure it's not too tight and everything actually fits well.
49:37And it does.
49:38So Beanie Boy is ready to go.
49:40We're actually going to put him in his crate.
49:42Because we want to make sure he's had a good nap for when they come.
49:46Because more than likely he's going to be super tired.
49:48And we're going to cut up some pate.
49:51Because he absolutely loves it.
49:53And I think that's how they may be able to win him over.
49:57Hello mate.
49:59Beans' favourite pate ready.
50:01Now all that's left.
50:03Is for his potential owners.
50:05To come and adopt him.
50:07A week ago.
50:08Beans wouldn't let anyone near him.
50:10Now the people who might give him a forever home.
50:12Are waiting inside.
50:13If he shuts down in there.
50:15This could be over before it starts.
50:21Beans came in with a wagging tail.
50:23Which is a great start.
50:25He's clearly a bit unsure.
50:26So we all sat down to try and give him some treats.
50:30So he'll probably be a bit shy.
50:31I'd maybe just throw it.
50:32Yeah.
50:32If you sit down.
50:33If you throw him some treats.
50:35Because I don't think he'll be brave enough to take it.
50:39There you go.
50:40You can see he's really trying his hardest to be brave.
50:43But then I noticed this is probably quite daunting for him.
50:46We're all sitting opposite him.
50:48And he's alone by himself in the corner.
50:50So I went to sit by him to comfort him.
50:53We didn't expect him to be bouncing off the walls to someone new.
50:56But he's doing really well.
50:58Although Beans is pretty scared.
51:00They did know what to expect.
51:01As Ella told them how he'd probably be.
51:04But that clearly didn't make a difference.
51:05Because they decided they wanted to adopt Beans.
51:09We put him outside in case he needed the toilet.
51:11And all that's left now is to say our goodbyes.
51:26So it's actually been a few days since Beans got adopted.
51:29He did actually go up to his new family for pets on the very first day.
51:34And then this is Beans after day three.
51:36What a difference in how quickly he gets his confidence now.
51:40If you'd like to support us in rescuing even more dogs.
