00:02So I just started watching the second season of Mobseka, which if you don't know I made a video
00:07in the past talking about Marie and that she's secretly, spoiler, Leon's brother from before
00:13he reincarnated. So I got a few comments about the show so far. The first thing I saw was the
00:19new opening sequence and I was shocked by the difference in art style compared to the first
00:23season. It was actually a bit worrying because I was hoping that they didn't completely change
00:27into art style to look like that, which I am glad they didn't. The art style in the opening sequence
00:32is a lot worse than the previous series' actual art style for the show and I am glad they didn't
00:38use that same art style for the new season, but unfortunately there is a change in the art style
00:44and I think it is for the worse. In the first season the art style was sort of like a
00:49Otome game,
00:50which makes sense because that's what sort of the world is. If you've never seen like the cover of
00:53a game by Broccoli or any of those Otome game creators, the art style from the first season
00:58looks very similar to that, which I think the new art style, which I guess is more like a generic
01:04anime art style, it requires it looks worse, even compared to a lot of other series, and there's
01:08definitely a big jump down compared to the first series of the show. Now for some good things, it
01:13doesn't seem like too terrible overall. It does seem fine as a second series, even though it is
01:19a few years after the first, which seems quite common in all of anime, there aren't really any
01:24anime that are sort of continuous over a number of years anymore. It seems like it's always one
01:29season and a couple year break, then next season and a couple year break, that type of thing.
01:34That with ReZero, even though some of their series are longer, Tensura, and especially the gap with
01:40shows like The Shield Hero, there was a significant gap between the last two. One thing I have to point
01:46out, I can't show this because I'll get copyright claimed, but they do also use the theme for the
01:50first series of the show in select parts as background music, and in the most recent episode,
01:56which I just watched, they use it at the end of the episode, and it's really abrupt that cuts off
02:02midway through a line, and this goes straight to the new ending sequence. So just right at the end,
02:08it's extremely abrupt, and I think there's probably three or four times overall that they've reused
02:13segments of the original opening, just the background music. So I did mention that I did
02:18previously make a video about who Marie is, and that's actually Yon's sister from before he
02:24reincarnated. That video recently, a few months ago, started getting a bit of traction and did get a lot
02:29of views, which makes sense. There is a new series of the show, so I assume a lot of people
02:32are looking
02:32up things related, so that ended up getting served to them. Over these last few episodes, it's been
02:37increasingly obvious that she released his sister, even though I think it was quite obvious from the
02:42first series, and there were many mentions in this new series due to both of their siblings before
02:46eventually being revealed at the end of the most recent episode. I think also Marie seems to act a
02:52bit out of character in this series as well, but that's probably a story for another day. What is quite
02:58interesting is learning about the elves in that universe, and that in that game's lore, they were
03:04actually created in the war that the humans won, which you'll learn a bit about in the first series, as
03:10basically weapons, because they had stronger magical abilities and lived longer, that they could be
03:13more effective as soldiers. So that's an interesting concept. So I'll end this video here. Do you have
