00:00He was wobbling and tremoring with his head just constantly bobbing and his body spastically
00:05twitching. Okay baby. It's okay baby. He's having trouble walking. He can't go far. Because of how
00:13dirty and matted he was, everyone assumed that this little pup had been living on the streets
00:20for quite some time. When Laura found him, she immediately rushed him to the vet. Given his
00:26condition, they feared the worst. But to everyone's surprise, all his test results came back clear.
00:33Then Laura gave him a nice warm bath, which you can clearly see that he absolutely loved.
00:41Doing really well with the bath.
00:45Good, Laura.
00:51Just a little snooze in the bathtub.
00:54Ready? I know you're not ready.
00:58Open your mouth plate. Okay, no, it's all right. No, we're hiding here.
01:03At the beginning, he would collapse from standing too long.
01:14He would take a long time going up or down the stairs.
01:21And his head bobs around, especially when he's focusing on something like trying to take
01:26a treat from my hand.
01:34His personality at the beginning was very timid and anxious. He would jump at every sound,
01:40and it took him some time to feel comfortable. He even started protecting his territory as if
01:46he had always belonged there. He found his bark.
01:52That was really when Laura could not let him go, and she officially made Scruff a part of her family.
02:00Even though they never really got an answer as to why he had trouble walking in the first place,
02:05it was almost like he just needed a home to finally start healing.
02:11Scruff has adapted amazingly to his condition, and in fact, he actually became better at running
02:19than at walking, which I just think is a testament to how resilient this little dog is.
02:25He's enriched my life in ways I could never explain.
