00:00He's finally safe after three days of dodging every rescue attempt but he doesn't realize it yet.
00:05Call after call kept coming in about a tiny dog who was wandering along the side of the road.
00:09The second anyone would get close, he'd run.
00:13For three days, I got call after call after call about an emaciated small dog on the side of the
00:20road.
00:20When Audrey arrived, she set up a trap and placed food inside.
00:24The wind happened to blow in just the right direction and the smell of the treats got his attention.
00:30I was holding my breath the whole time.
00:34Nice, we got him.
00:36And when we did get him, he was so scared. He was shaking so badly.
00:44Getting him into the trap was only the first hurdle. Once they got a closer look,
00:48it was clear that he'd been surviving on his own for much longer than anyone had realized.
00:53We got him. Poor guy. He's safe now.
00:57Back at the rescue, he could finally stop worrying about where his next meal would come from for the
01:02first time in days. We brought him home, gave him a bath, started picking off the hundreds of ticks that
01:09he had. He just really started to open up with our dogs at the rescue, with everybody. After he was
01:17cleared medically, he went to one of our rescue partners in Orlando, where he found his forever home.
01:25For ET, it started with strangers who care enough to keep calling, continued with Audrey who refused to
01:31give up, and ended with another rescue and a family hundreds of miles away saying yes.
01:36With us.
01:38He was a man.
01:40He was a man.
01:41He was a man.
