00:00A massive offensive against the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is playing out on
00:04the streets of Delhi and Mumbai, also adding to the growing confrontation over the Election
00:11Commission. In Delhi, the India bloc has stepped up its attack over this EC, while in Mumbai,
00:17the Citizens Justice Party is holding a protest at Shivaji Park, demanding Gyanesh Kumar's
00:22resignation. The CJP founder, Abhijit Dipke, says that the protests will continue until
00:27the CEC resigns. Will that really happen? We've got to wait and watch for that one. The group says
00:33that it is prepared to face arrest and will go ahead with its protest, even without official
00:38permission. There are three key demands that the CJP has really put forward. Number one, they're
00:46asking for CEC Gyanesh Kumar to resign. Number two, freeze the 2025 electoral list. And number three,
00:55on their demand is transparency in the appointment of the next CEC. The protests that have been
01:04taking place in Delhi and in other places as well also escalated political row over the
01:10election commission and its handling of the electoral rolls.
01:26The screen over there, you have Abhijit Dipke, who's trying to address the crowd over there, speaking in
01:32Marathi, he is at Shivaji Park and is trying to address the crowd, asking him to calm down before
01:37he can really make his voice heard.
01:40The press.
01:43Tomorrow, come back to theßweit bill.
02:32Oh
02:33Oh
02:37Abhijit Dipke, please, please, please, please, please.
03:01So, as Abhijit Dipke there preps up the crowd, urging them to sit down while he gets ready
03:07to address the crowd, it will be interesting to see what he actually says.
03:10Let us cut across to our very own Abhijit, Abhijit Karan, our reporter there, who's been
03:15covering the protest.
03:16Let's cut across to him to get a word from him.
03:19Abhijit, tell us what's going on there, how much of a crowd is coming in Shivaji Park?
03:29This is a very iconic place.
03:32You can see that behind the stage is placed.
03:35This is the one we know.
03:42This is the one we know.
03:45This is the one we know.
03:48This is the one we know, the one we know is being able to get a crowd.

06:21All right, we'll try and connect back to Abhijit, but in the meanwhile, let's also try and cut
06:26across to those live visuals. On your screens at the moment, let me just give you a sense
06:30of what's happening. Abhijit Dipke is on top of that vehicle over there, and he's trying
06:36to address the crowd. There, he's asking them, urging them at the moment to sit down
06:42because he's going to make a speech. Remember, this is part two, or a season two, as he had
06:47himself called, of the CJP protest. This is looking, by the way, very different from what
06:53we saw earlier in the day during the Delhi protest. During the Delhi protest, these numbers were
06:58not allowed to actually come together. We've seen detention of over 1,000 people, 1,100
07:05people to be precise. More than that, in fact, have been picked up by Delhi police at different
07:11corners. Even before they could get together, even before they could gather at Jantar Mantar,
07:15they were all picked up and taken in detention. This includes people from different political
07:20parties, from left, from AISA, from Amadi party as well. But in Mumbai, the story looks
07:28pretty different.
07:29Let me just cut across and go back to Abhijit to try and understand what really is happening.
07:36Abhijit, if you can hear me now, I was trying to understand from you the difference in the
07:42kind of people who have turned up this time.
07:55I'm sorry, I have a question. Do you think people across sections have actually come in on a call
08:10for asking for the resignation of the CEC?
08:18See, we are reporting this last time, when the crowd came in the last time,
08:24there were a lot of young people.
08:27This time, the young people will see more of you.
08:30Although the middle-aged people have come,
08:33they are not so much.
08:34They are not so much.
08:35They are not so much.
08:39They have come, some people come, some people come, some people come.
08:48I have talked about it,
08:51they have come on this protest.
08:54It was the copious who came up with this protest.
08:55They are so much.
08:56They came up in the election process.
08:59There were no need to be.
09:00This protest has come against them.
09:06It was to be when they are.
09:06But this protest has not been witnessed.
09:09This protest is a Palestinian Iraqist government.
09:14This protest was said to them.
09:19So what happened to them was in the vote.
09:22They were in the election of the state.
09:23It was the election of the election.
09:23So they later the protest,
