00:20It's the USF Bulls and the Army Black Knights.
00:26Reece Davis, David Pollack, Jesse Palmer with you here in the booth,
00:30and Holly Rowe keeping an eye on all of the storylines down the sideline.
00:34USF made one of the most interesting hires in the coaching carousel.
00:39Brian Hartlein is a proven winner as a player and an assistant.
00:43Now he'll have an opportunity, first time as a head coach.

01:03The Bulls will kick off first, and here we go.
01:12And he'll just take a knee, and this drive will start at the 25.
01:17So the Army Black Knights' offense will go on the attack first.
01:21And here comes the sophomore running back.
01:24Bound the end zone a couple of times in his last game, just under 100 yards on the ground.
01:29How good has this guy been early this year?
01:31Sort of a dark horse.
01:32No one really taught me about this guy in the Heisman talk or the Joe Blocker talk
01:36from the nation's outstanding running back.
01:38He has just been carving through defenses early this year.
01:43This is a rising star in this offense, David, that people can no longer ignore.
01:47And I love what the coaches said about him.
01:49It's the attitude every day.
01:50He always worked hard.
01:52Like, all through the preseason, they saw it.
01:54They saw some glimpses of, this guy could be really special.
01:57And then once the game started, it continued to add up.
02:01And he truly has come at an absolutely no way.
02:07Trying to get the corner.
02:10Now the pitch.
02:12He'll get it across the 30-yard line.
02:15They'll mark him out of bounds at the 32 as this offense is trying to do some work.
02:20The Black Knights decide to punt it away.
02:28On his way back from the 20.
02:30He only needs a sliver of daylight.
02:33Tries to find a little more running room on that return, but he'll be stopped at the 36.
02:38The Bulls' offense takes the field for the first time in this game.
02:42And they'll put their fate in the hands of this transfer junior quarterback.
02:47Last time out, a solid day and a victory, throwing for more than 200 yards and a couple of scores.
02:52And this is why they went out and got this guy.
02:54They wanted a leader at the quarterback spot that could make plays and win football games.
03:00And that's exactly what he's done to start the season.
03:03It's a perfect script so far.
03:04Well, they've depended on his big plays.
03:07Palmer, now is how far can he take these guys?
03:10It's been amazing, honestly, just to see how on the same page he has been with his receivers and with
03:16his teammates.
03:17We knew this guy came in this offseason.
03:18He put in a lot of work.
03:20A lot of extra hours when nobody was watching.
03:23Throwing to these people to get the timing down.
03:25And that's now starting to show itself early this season on game day.
03:30Sometimes it takes quarterbacks a few plays to really get into the rhythm of the game and not force things.
03:35I think the quarterback that time was really trying to force the ball to his wide receiver.
03:40But against man coverage, there were other guys on that play that were open that could have had a chance.
03:45So the quarterback just needs to settle down a little bit.
03:47He won't be throwing as many incompletions if he just lets the coverage tell him where to go with the
03:52ball.
03:52And the Bulls line up to punt it away.
04:00Gonna field this one in tight quarters.
04:04That's a perfect example of not settling for a fair catch.
04:08Pick up whatever yardage you can and help out the offense.
04:12Army has it back and the offense ready to go.
04:15Looking for the edge.
04:17He'll keep it on second down.
04:19And he's brought down after a short game.
04:22A lot of ground to cover and they need a chunk here on second down.
04:28Keeps it himself.
04:30Pulls it and runs it again.
04:32And he stopped right there.
04:34No gain on the play.
04:37They've got a good chunk of ground to cover on third and long from the 41.
04:46He'll try to get to the marker himself.
04:49Pass to six.
04:51At the 40.
04:52There he goes.
04:53Moving deeper into enemy territory.
04:55Move the chains.
04:57It's first down at the 27.
04:59And the Black Knights come to the line with a fresh set of downs.
05:03Let it go.
05:04Quarterback will keep it.
05:06Tackled almost immediately.
05:08Not a whole lot on that one.
05:11Second and long here.
05:17To the air.
05:18It's Helens.
05:20Got him right there.
05:25They've moved it to the 25.
05:27But now facing a third and long.
05:33From the gun.
05:34Wants to pass.
05:36Turns it upfield.
05:37That'll be enough for a first down.
05:39And they've got it at the 16-yard line.
05:42The Black Knights, after moving the sticks through the air, come to the line.
05:50From the red zone.
05:51Looking for a man.
05:53And the pass to the sideline will pick up a short game.
05:57It must be nice for this quarterback knowing he's got this type of athlete playing the tight end position.
06:02He can work the middle of the field for him.
06:04He's a guy who can stretch it vertically as well.
06:06But this is a guy the QB will look for early and often in this game.
06:11He'll be hauled down just inside the 10 at the 9 as they're trying to turn this into a score.
06:17Not a lot of ground to cover and not much to defend.
06:20A big third down in the red zone.
06:23Trying to squeak through the pile.
06:25Stuck at the 3.
06:27But it'll be enough to give them a first and goal.
06:31And I'm not surprised with the run.
06:32And I'm not going to be surprised if they run it again.
06:35Right?
06:35This offense now set up.
06:37They put a drive together.
06:38First and goal.
06:39Who can be more physical?
06:41The line of screen.
06:42And he takes it in for the score.
06:45Touchdown, Black Knights!
06:48That's a nice job by the offense there in their second drive.
06:50I know in the opening possession you go 3 and out.
06:52You're scratching your head.
06:53That didn't obviously go the way you wanted to.
06:55But a good job of sort of collecting yourselves, going through the next couple play calls, and making sure everybody's
07:01back on the same page.
07:02We saw this offense, David, on this drive, really be in sync and finally find the room.
07:07You got to like the answers, right?
07:09Like sometimes you come out, sometimes you're situated and you're ready to rock and roll.
07:12It comes out hot.
07:13Sometimes it doesn't.
07:14But I like the response.
07:16The defense does their job.
07:17Gets them the football back.
07:18They come out.
07:20Execute.
07:20Nice job getting on the scoreboard.
07:27On the move from inside is 5.
07:31He was looking for more running room, but none to be found as he stopped at the 23.
07:37Opening play of this drive will come from their own 23.
07:43They'll leave it with the lone back.
07:46Just enough there to get it to the 25, a pickup of 2.
07:50It's only a 2-yard gain on first down there for the offense, but they want to keep pounding and
07:56they want to keep getting this run going.
07:57They believe they can wear this defense down.
08:00And these 2-yard gains, they think are going to turn into explosive plays the longer this game goes on.
08:06And he had it for a second, but it just dribbled out of his hands.
08:10They come to the line, facing third and long from the 25.
08:18The fake wants to throw.
08:20Looking left.
08:22And it was worth going for a chunk play, but the long pass is incomplete.
08:26The Bulls will bring the punt team onto the field.
08:29This will be the second time they've had to kick it away.
08:34Trying to take it back.
08:36They'll put a stop to that return as he gets it up to the 41-yard line.
08:41First snap of this drive comes from their own 41.
08:53On the move.
08:56Defense right there to stop him in his tracks, and they get nothing on that play.
09:01Long way to go on second down.
09:09Big fullback's got it.
09:11Might have picked up a couple on that one before he was knocked down.

09:17They come to the line.
09:26We've reached the break, and Army has the lead.
09:30We put one in the books.
09:31Let's have a look at our game summary.
09:44They've switched into the field, and we're ready to get things started here in the second.
09:50So they had a chance to talk over this third-down play to open the period.
09:57Trying to establish the line.
10:01He was looking everywhere for more running room and couldn't find it.
10:05He'll be four yards short, and it's fourth down.
10:08And the Black Knights will punt it away on fourth down.
10:11This will be the second time they've had to kick it away.
10:16And that is just about a perfect play as he pins them deep inside the 10-yard line.
10:23The Bulls offense comes out ready to go to work.
10:26We'll see if they can be a little more productive this time around.
10:29A three and out the last time they had the ball.
10:32They needed that extra space as he bangs his way to the 14.
10:36You want to make play calling easy for an offensive coordinator?
10:40Run the ball like that every play.
10:41I mean, when you can run that on first down and set up a short yardage on second down,
10:46it makes play calling easy.
10:48Every single call on that sheet is available here on second down.
10:52It's complete to the right.
10:54And they knock him down, but he got past the line to gain.
10:58I just love quarterbacks that aren't greedy and that aren't always trying to throw the home run ball, right?
11:04Second down, you're in your own end of the field.
11:06The guy you want to throw to is not open.
11:08Just find the back.
11:09He'll go do something positive with it.
11:11This guy is a weapon, and you've got to find him in the passing game.
11:14And winning first downs is a priority for a defense, and you can't get bludgeoned.
11:19You can't get physically beat at the point of attack.
11:21You know the percentages.
11:23It's usually pretty good on first down that they're going to run the football.
11:26So them getting that big chunk, getting in second and short, not a good job by this defense.
11:31Working that left side now.
11:34Didn't get a whole lot of yardage before he was stopped, but using the running back in the short passing
11:39game gives him a first down.
11:41And the Bulls are moving quickly down the field.
11:46Hand it to the back.
11:49You want to make sure to maximize those types of runs, and he gets it out to the 41.
11:54And I like the thought process on offense here early in this game.
11:58They're giving their bell cow the ball early enough, and there are a lot of coaches that outthink themselves.
12:02And I think, you know, we're going to throw the ball to set up the run instead because everybody on
12:07defense knows our guy is the focal point.
12:09But this offense is just keeping it simple.
12:11Let's just give our best player the football early in this game, and let's just get him into a run.
12:16Basic run plays.
12:17I don't need a bunch of complicated stuff sometimes.
12:19I just need to get the first down and get the sticks moving.
12:23They have been stagnant on offense, but finally a little forward movement as they've got a first and ten.
12:29Move to his right.
12:31He'll pull it down and run.
12:33He found a little opening and got loose.
12:36They couldn't stop him in the backfield, so a solid pick up there.
12:40Well, you're making a positive out of a negative.
12:42In that time, quarterback, nice job, buying time.
12:45He's trying to throw the football downfield.
12:47Nothing there, so instead of throwing it away and getting the incomplete, just get what you can get and make
12:52this next down more manageable.
12:54Not down immediately.
12:56You just need more from your offensive line.
12:59Second and short like that, you love to be able to fire off the ball and pick that up running
13:03it.
13:03But the defense was able to get penetration.
13:05They were able to get a stop.
13:07And now you set up third down, and this offensive line is going to have to play a lot better
13:12here.
13:12Wide open downfield.
13:14They'll move the chains.
13:16Good execution on third down.
13:18They've got it at the 41.
13:20If you're going to complete these in-breaking routes over the middle of the field, it's really important as a
13:25quarterback.
13:25You don't stare the guy down and tip off where you're throwing the football.
13:29He's trying to freeze the safeties in this defense and then throws it on time.
13:34Accurate throw, nice pitch and catch.
13:36Didn't get much on first down.
13:38It's second and nine.
13:42Looking to throw.
13:44It's Van Buren.
13:45Hubs it downfield.
13:47Right side.
13:48It's Sullivan.
13:49Now he's got it all the way down to the 21-yard line, and they are threatening on first down.
13:56Well, it feels like everybody else on offense has been getting some in the passing game this stride.
14:00And finally, they get the tight end going, too.
14:03He's like, dude, I'm good and I'm open.
14:04Throw me the ball.
14:05That's exactly where their quarterback goes.
14:08He's feeling it right now.
14:09He's distributing the football to a bunch of different people in the defense right now.
14:13They have no idea who's getting it next.
14:16And how about this drive this offense has put together, man?
14:18You're kind of backed up.
14:19You just want to get some good field position.
14:21Now they've converted the sticks, moved the ball down the field, now set up first and goal.
14:27A chance to continue their physicality, own the line of scrimmage, and finish this long drive.
14:32Wrestle down at the eight-yard line as they threaten deep in the red zone.
14:37Clock stopped.
14:38We have reached the two-minute timeout, and they've got a chance to lock this thing up before the break.
14:46Going to work on second down in the red zone.
14:49There's still some ground to cover to pick up that first down.
14:54Kept it on the ground.
14:56Now they'll throw.
14:58They've got it down to the three-yard line.
15:00Really well done on that throw and catch.
15:03The defense uses a timeout.
15:05That's their first.
15:07They'll have two left to work with before the half.
15:13Height quarters deep in the red zone, but they can pick up a first down without scoring.

15:25And he breaks the play.
15:27Touchdown, South Florida.
15:34Extra point here will tie the game.
15:39And they add the extra point to finish the drive.
15:42They held the ball for 15 plays on that touchdown drive.
15:46And closed the deal with a three-yard touchdown run.

15:58Just able to get out to the 18-yard line on the return before he's stopped.
16:04Plenty of time left in the half here as they take over, but they will want to be efficient here
16:09in the final two minutes.

16:18They'll try to kick it into overdrive.

16:22A nice job being gapped sound by this defense.

16:25Watch what this offense does.

16:29And the quarterback caught up two and sacked at the 12.
16:33Well, quarterback went down behind center pretty quick that time.
16:37And it makes you wonder as a play caller, against this pass rush,
16:40do you start thinking about maybe rolling your quarterback out and changing the launch point?
16:45On third and long, you'll need to push it downfield.
16:49Complete to the left.
16:50He gets it down to the 30-yard line and time is running short here in the first half.
16:57Timeout taken by the offense is their second.
17:00And they'll still have one in their pocket for what's left in this first half.
17:06Turns upfield, it's Helms.
17:08He'll be brought down quickly after a very short game.
17:12The Black Knights want to move quickly.
17:15Well, obviously, a really nice play by the defense there stopping the option.
17:18But I think that's on the quarterback because it looked like his pitch option was wide open.
17:22That ball should have gone to the running back out on the perimeter.
17:25It looked like he had some open field in front of him to go make something positive happen.
17:29This quarterback's got to make better decisions.
17:31It's not just the passing game.
17:32It's in the run game with the option, too.
17:35Back to pass.
17:36It's Helms.
17:38They're all over it.
17:39Great job to separate the ball from the receiver there.
17:43That's a throw the QB would like to have back.
17:46It just has to do a better job giving his receiver a chance to make the catch.

17:54He's working against the clock.

18:23Obviously didn't like what he saw in first down, and they used a timeout.

18:35And the defense able to get him down, and that should bring us to the end of the half.

19:03And it's the Longhorns, with one of the biggest wins in program history, taking down the number one team in
19:11the country.
19:12This will push them to 2-0 on the season.
19:16Let's check in now on some of the other action today, as the landscape in this sport truly is ever
19:22-changing.
19:33And now over to your game inside Mikey Stadium.
19:37The numbers sometimes can be telling, but I'm not sure how to view these stats and get a great read
19:43on the game so far.
19:45I do know this.
19:46The team that does a better job of taking care of the ball in the second half has the best
19:51chance of coming out on top.
19:53With that said, let's send it back to the guys at Blake Field inside Mikey Stadium.
20:11Thanks for that breakdown, Kevin.
20:16And the Black Knights will kick it off to start the second half.
20:23From inside his own 10, he'll try to help out their field position.
20:28They tried to get the wall set up for him, not quiet enough for the huge play, but a good
20:32job to give his offensive breathing room.
20:36As we start the second half, Holly, what adjustments do these teams want to make?
20:40The Bulls head coach told me coming out of the locker room, he said both teams have traded momentum early
20:45in this game.
20:46Each team having big opportunities and big plays.
20:49But what their offense is lacking is rhythm and consistency.
20:53He wants to see them get a little bit more of a rhythm, extend drives, and go on a long
20:57touchdown drive here to start this half.
20:59Guys?
21:00Okay, Holly.
21:04Rolling, throwing, looking right.
21:06He's got it down the field.
21:08A huge play, and they get it all the way to the 45-yard line.
21:21The Bulls peeled off a huge chunk of yardage through the air, and now back to the line.
21:28Straight ahead, it's Isaac.
21:31Pickup of five, it's now second and five.
21:35Man, it's easy to call plays when you're getting five or six yards of pop on the ground.
21:39Like, why would I get complicated?
21:41Why would I get complex?
21:43Like, up front right now, this group, just win, fall forward, get that good game, stay ahead of the sticks,
21:49don't have to get in bad situations.
21:51This defense better respond, or else I'll do that all the way down the field.
21:55Well, this offense continues to go back to the running game, but on that one, not a lot of place
22:00to go if you're the running back.
22:02The offensive line has got to do a better job getting some push and opening up some holes for this
22:08back.
22:09Trying to make magic on the scramble.
22:11They'll pick up enough yardage for the first down, they've got it at the 30.
22:16This is the most annoying thing in the world for a defense, is when you start to play all these
22:21plays and all these pass concepts and routes,
22:23and then you let the quarterback get outside the pocket, and he takes off, and he gets a first down.
22:28Like, so much to defend, that is the hardest thing to defend, because you don't know where it's going to
22:33happen on the field and when it's going to happen.
22:36What great explosiveness by this running back to break through and almost get to the house, Jesse, but just comes
22:42up shooting.
22:43Well, I'll tell you, he had a lot of help downfield as well.
22:45Well, receivers getting blocks and making life easier on the back there, and all of a sudden now, this offense
22:50knocking on the door deep down in their opponent's territory.
22:54And a lot of times, the fit up front, you know, linebackers are fitting holes, and that ball bounces, and
22:59it's supposed to go somewhere,
23:01and sometimes it goes to a DB, and the offense will get a W.
23:04Like, they'll get a win because you'll break a tackle.
23:07How about the tackle by that young fella?
23:08I know he likes to cover, but I love the way he comes up and makes the tackle.
23:13Nowhere close on that one has he got drilled trying to deliver the football, and now they face third down.
23:20Well, that last incompletion's a good example of why your timing has to be so good as a quarterback,
23:25because the windows, they open, and they close so quickly in this part of the field.
23:31Now, wide right, it's Isaac.
23:33He'll be stopped right there.
23:34They threw it short of the goal line, and now they've got some ground to cover on fourth down.
23:40And they'll send out the kicker to try a field goal.
23:43And it slips just inside that right upright.
23:47And with that, they've taken the lead.
23:50Man, so many more times we're going to say, go for it, be aggressive.
23:54Nice to have a guy you can depend on, and you know you're putting three on the board.
23:59Nice kick, nice job.
24:09He'll bring it out.
24:13Gets it across the 20 to the 21, and not quite what he would have picked up just taking the
24:18touchback.
24:19The cadets have it back as Army goes back on offense.
24:22And after that last field goal, they start this third quarter, find themselves playing from behind.
24:28Knocked down immediately at the line of scrimmage.
24:32When you play the option and you play this responsibility football, sometimes your eyes can get lost.
24:37They didn't on that play.
24:39Nice job honing in, getting in there quickly, getting the quarterback to the ground.
24:45Turning it on!
24:47He'll be forced out of bounds.
24:49He'll mark him down at the 44-yard line, and this offense has it going.
24:54The Black Knights after exploding for that huge run.
24:58Back to work.
25:01Give to the big fullback.
25:03And he's brought down after a short game.
25:07Winning first down is such a big deal on defense.
25:10Like, getting them into more predictable situations, more passing situations.
25:15Nice job not giving up a lot of run after contact on that first down.
25:19Pulls it on the option.
25:20And he got it by just enough and a good gain on that run.
25:24And you're seeing his dynamic ability to run the football that time on the option play.
25:28I know he doesn't pick up the first down, but that's still a good chunk of yardage.
25:32And the defense wasn't ready for it.
25:33But moving forward, expect the offense to go back to the option play again
25:38and see if someone will finally take the quarterback and force him to pitch it.
25:42And the Black Knights will send out the punt unit.
25:51And the punt hits at the 6, and they can't down it, and it'll be a touchback.
25:56South Florida has it back, and the Bulls offense will return to the field.
26:00They haven't really been able to light up this scoreboard,
26:04but putting points up would be huge here.
26:07Powers through the defender.
26:10Keeps it moving for a 3-yard gain to the 24.
26:18Solid pick up a 4 on first down and second and 6.
26:31And then you've got to love that from your corner.
26:40Willing to pull the trigger right away.
26:42Obviously, the running back slips out of the backfield.
26:44They throw him the football, but he doesn't waste any time.
26:47He doesn't hesitate, pulls the trigger, runs at him, makes the nice tackle, and gets the stop.
26:54Bying time to his right.
26:57Throwing on the run.
27:00Makes a deep grab.
27:02That's what's so scary about this offense.
27:04They've got guys in the perimeter that can change the game in one single play.
27:09And you saw it right there.
27:10Too much speed on the perimeter to create that explosive play.
27:17And the Bulls will have it first in 10.
27:24Takes a handoff.
27:25It's Isaac.
27:26Tackled almost immediately.
27:27Not a whole lot on that one.
27:33That's the end of the period, and USF is on top.
27:36Three quarters are in the books.
27:38Time becomes a factor, both in trying to hold the lead or cut into it
27:42as we take a look at the stats.
27:53Here comes the fourth.
27:55Time to see who steps up, who makes the winning plays to take home that W.
28:05And a chance to mull things over.
28:07Let's see how they start the final period here on second down.

28:17They'll wrestle him down just short of the first down.
28:20I don't even think they're going to bring out the change to measure this.
28:24And that's what the running game can do for an offense.
28:27You run the football.
28:28You have some success.
28:29Then what do you do?
28:30You stick the ball out there.
28:31You pull it back.
28:32You run some play action.
28:33You complete the football.
28:35Get a first down.
28:36Nice balance by this offense.
28:38Ripping off a good chunk.
28:40Inside the 25.
28:41And they're set up with a first down.
28:44They've got a first down here.
28:46What a start it's been to this season.
28:48We've got a great game here.
28:49Close ball game.
28:50Fourth quarter.
28:51Couldn't ask for anything more.
28:54Out wide left to Totem.
28:57And that defense is there to guide him out of bounds after a short game.
29:01How about this methodical soul-crushing drive?
29:05They've already drained more than three minutes off the clock as they snap it on second down.
29:10And again, finds nowhere to run.
29:13Maybe got it back to the line of scrimmage this time.
29:17Five yards away from another third down conversion on this drive.
29:21They're already two for two.
29:23Looking downfield.
29:25It's Van Buren.
29:26A shot toward the end zone.
29:28And he was trying to pay off this red zone opportunity, but it's incomplete.

29:49That put so much pressure on the opponent now.
29:53Nice job by the special teams going out and executing in a big moment.
30:00He'll bring it back from inside the 15.
30:03Lies just enough space to cross the 25.
30:06Let's mark it at the 27-yard line.
30:10Army sends its offense onto the field to start the drive.
30:13The defense able to hold them to a field goal on that last drive.
30:17And now this offense will try to answer, and they need a touchdown.
30:21Snacks it.
30:22Makes the catch, but goes no further.
30:24And it'll be a short pickup on that one.
30:26They don't need a bunch on second down.
30:30Wide receiver comes in motion.
30:33Working the ground game.
30:35They open the lane, and he hit it again, a five out to the 33.
30:40It'll be third and short from their own 33.
30:48From the gun.
30:49Wants to pass.
30:51Right down the middle.
30:53Can't hang on after the hit, and it'll be fourth down.
30:57And this is why coaches get paid the big bucks.

31:25Yeah, a little bit of pressure now on this offense, too, David.
31:28I think they've got to go back to their playmakers
31:30and get these guys going in the game.
31:31No doubt.
31:32Find those plays.
31:33Those plays you know you can run them in your sleep.
31:36You make sure you execute.
31:37Build this lead a little bit bigger,
31:39and put this thing away in the fourth quarter.
31:42And he's got enough for the first down.
31:44They'll mark it at the 34.
31:46It's a point in the game, I think, as a coaching staff,
31:49where you really challenge your offensive line
31:52to go win the football game, right?
31:54You've got to lead late.
31:55We're going to run the football.
31:56And the defense and everybody in the stadium
31:58knows that's what's going to happen.
31:59Can we run the ball down their throats
32:02and impose our will?
32:04That's what this offense right now is trying to do.
32:06After the three-yard pickup,
32:08they come to the line second and seven.
32:12Oh, and they'll try to catch them with a pass.
32:15Left side is Odom.
32:17They drop him at the 47-yard line,
32:20but he'll have 20 to move the sticks.
32:23How about this offense, man?
32:25You've got to love it.
32:25Late in the fourth quarter, you have the lead.
32:28They don't get conservative.
32:29Staying balanced.

32:47they want to keep running the football.
32:49So he's going back.
32:50He's looking at his playlist,
32:51and he's saying,

32:54What can I lean on right here
32:55to make sure we win this one?
32:57He got his hands on it,
32:59but couldn't hold on to it,
33:00and what a time that would have been
33:01for their first pick of the game.
33:03Man, is that the opportunity they needed.
33:06That is exactly what this defense needed.
33:08They need to swing momentum.
33:10They needed to get the ball back to their offense
33:12if they wanted to win this football game.
33:15Just such a huge missed opportunity.
33:18Hines is mad.
33:19He gets it down to the 40-yard line,
33:22but he's going to be a little bit short of the marker.
33:24It'll be fourth down.
33:27They'll leave the offense out there
33:29to try to get it past the marker
33:31and pick up the first.
33:35On fourth.
33:36And he's not going to be able to wedge his way there.
33:40The defense with the stop.
33:42The Black Knights offense will go to work.
33:45The eyes now turn to the defense
33:47to see whether they can keep this lead intact
33:50late in the fourth.
33:55And the defense forced that incompletion
33:57with the deflection.
33:59And this passing game,
34:00just they can't get in sync, man.
34:01They can't get in rhythm.
34:02It seems like all game it's been a struggle.
34:04Nice job by the defense.
34:06Dropping back, breaking on the football,
34:07but this offense has to find their rhythm
34:10somehow, someway.
34:14But in the backfield, it's Anderson.
34:16He is stopped behind the line of scrimmage.
34:19They'll lose yards on that one.

34:27We've reached the two-minute timeout,
34:29and time is of the essence for this offense
34:32to get things done.
34:35Certain moments in the game you know
34:37are just a little bit bigger.

34:51No choice but to get rid of it,
34:53and it'll be fourth down.
34:54And now with that play,
34:56for this offense, it's gotta have it time.

35:03and that is a good thing
35:04because I have those in my pocket.

35:16and come up bankrupt.

36:21is only when you have to.

37:02He'll try to do it himself.

37:31It's hard to find a rhythm as a QB

37:36his team's going to be leaving here with an out.

37:48They'll hurry to the line.
37:50Well, you just get the feeling too
37:51that if they're going to claw their way

37:53his legs are going to have to be a factor.
37:56What a great job scrambling that time.
37:58Nothing open.
37:59He didn't panic.
38:00He saw some green grass.
38:01He was able to get outside
38:03away from the defense,
38:04get up field,
38:06pick up the first down.
38:07That play is going to help their momentum.
38:09They need more scramble plays like that from him.
38:12He's taking a deep shot late in the game.
38:15Oh, it's picked off.
38:17He's out of bounds
38:19and the interception will seal it
38:21and they'll go home with a victory.
38:23And that's kind of what this offense has done all day.
38:26They have struggled.

38:27they haven't gotten a rhythm.
38:28They haven't found a way
38:29to get points on the scoreboard.
38:31And late in this game,
38:32when your defense and your team
38:34really needed it the most, Palmer,
38:36they throw the INT.
38:37And it's a microcosm too
38:38of just how dominant the defense has been.
38:40They've always been a step ahead.
38:42They've been the more physical side
38:43and they've been making plays on the back end.
38:45That interception should seal this thing.
38:48They'll start this drive at their own 48.
38:54Looking for space.
38:55It's Isaac.
38:57Wanting to stop the clock on defense,
38:59they use their third and final timeout.
39:02And now they are powerless
39:04to stop the clock with a timeout.

39:17They give it back to him.
39:19They pull him down,
39:20but he's got enough.
39:21And it'll be a first down for this offense.
39:24So they move the sticks on the run.

40:23and start to have success,
40:24you start to grow as an identity
40:26and you start to understand who you are.
