00:04:48Talk to Dr. Crespi
00:04:48Talk to Dr. Crespi
00:05:10Yes?
00:05:11The patient in room 605 is leaving this afternoon.
00:05:14I thought you'd like to make your customary call.
00:05:17There's been little trouble with Dr. Fields' appendicitis case,
00:05:20but the patient is resting easy again.
00:05:22If Dr. Fields would be more careful,
00:05:25we could avoid these unpleasant incidents.
00:05:28The Italian lady, D'Angelo, in Ward 3 came in with five.
00:05:35Five?
00:05:40Is that all?
00:05:42No. Dr. Thomas is waiting to speak to you.
00:05:46Send them in and have some flowers sent to Mrs. Angelo with my compliments.
00:05:53She deserves more.
00:05:55Don't you think that's a little bit too generous, Dr. Cressley?
00:06:10Good afternoon, sir.
00:06:13I'd like to talk to you about the patient in room 310.
00:06:16Yes?
00:06:17He passed away.
00:06:21That's too bad.
00:06:24I thought he'd go through.
00:06:26Will you make out the certificate?
00:06:41What time?
00:06:44I think 345.
00:06:51You think?
00:06:54I wonder.
00:06:57Dr. Thomas, please.
00:06:58Let's understand each other once and for I.
00:07:01I don't pay you to think.
00:07:04I pay you to know.
00:07:08I wish it would be more thorough.
00:07:10This isn't anything to think about.
00:07:13A person is dead or he's not.
00:07:15If he's dead, he died at a different time.
00:07:18And that time is important.
00:07:21Yes, sir.
00:07:23I'll fill in 345 as you suggest.
00:07:26But in the future, I must insist on the exact record.
00:07:33Miss Gordon speaking.
00:07:35Yes, he's still here.
00:07:39What?
00:07:40I should say I will tell him.
00:07:46Quintuplets.
00:07:47Excuse me.
00:07:50What's the matter for you people?
00:07:52All the time.
00:07:53Five minutes.
00:07:55Quintuplets.
00:07:56Please.
00:07:57Please.
00:07:57No call me name.
00:07:58I'm a gentleman.
00:07:59Please.
00:08:01One.
00:08:02Two.
00:08:04Three.
00:08:06Four.
00:08:07Five.
00:08:08You have five bambinos.
00:08:14Five.
00:08:15Cinque bambinos.
00:08:19Up over the map.
00:08:22Cinque bambinos.
00:08:24Oh, mamma mia che chai.
00:08:26Mamma mia che chai.
00:08:29Cinque bambinos.
00:08:30Cinque bambinos.
00:08:33Little man, you had a busy day.
00:08:36Just a moment, Mrs. Ross.
00:08:38I'll find out.
00:08:45Dr. Steven Ross.
00:08:49Too bad.
00:08:57Crespi?
00:08:58Dr. Crespi, Mrs. Ross is calling on the outside phone.
00:09:02Who?
00:09:04Mrs. Ross.
00:09:08Tell her you can't locate me.
00:09:11Yeah.
00:09:18Sorry, Mrs. Ross.
00:09:19I've tried every place and I can't locate him.
00:09:22No, I can't.
00:09:32Oh, I was afraid he wouldn't talk to me.
00:09:35Too bad.
00:09:36Dr. Crespi is one of very few men.
00:09:38Perhaps the only man who can save him.
00:09:40Oh, but Dr. K, isn't there someone else we could get?
00:09:44Perhaps.
00:09:45Mrs. Ross hasn't been able to talk to Dr. Crespi.
00:09:48Oh, that's too bad.
00:09:50There's a time element that makes delay dangerous.
00:09:53Perhaps we'd better see about getting him into medical center.
00:09:56No, please.
00:09:57Please let me try once more.
00:09:59If I could only talk to him, I...
00:10:01I know he'd do it.
00:10:05He must.
00:10:25Oh, hello.
00:10:26Good afternoon, Mrs. Ross.
00:10:28Is Dr. Crespi in his office?
00:10:31Just a moment.
00:10:31I...
00:10:32I'll see.
00:10:41I don't want to see her.
00:10:45Yes, but...
00:10:46what shall I tell her, Doc?
00:10:48Please tell Mrs. Ross that I'm in consultation.
00:10:52Oh, please, Andre.
00:10:56Don't think I'm terrible coming here, Andre.
00:10:59Perfectly all right.
00:11:01You're always welcome.
00:11:02Well, I wouldn't bother you, Andre.
00:11:05But it's so dreadfully important.
00:11:09Oh, Nostelle.
00:11:10It can't be that important.
00:11:12You look almost tragic.
00:11:13Oh, it is tragic.
00:11:16Oh, I need your help, Andre.
00:11:19What is it?
00:11:19You know I'll do anything if it's humanly possible.
00:11:22Well, it's about...
00:11:24Stephen.
00:11:26Stephen?
00:11:29Why come to me about Stephen?
00:11:31Oh, his head.
00:11:33Dreadfully head.
00:11:35Oh, a car skidded last night on the drive.
00:11:38Oh, I'm afraid he may...
00:11:41They say he may die.
00:11:48I hope not, for your sake, Estelle.
00:11:59Don't you think you could have spared me that visit?
00:12:02After all, there are many competent physicians in this town.
00:12:05You might have gone to one of them.
00:12:07Oh, but that's just it, Andre.
00:12:09I... I couldn't.
00:12:10They wouldn't let me.
00:12:13See, after the smash-up, we...
00:12:14we don't know what to do.
00:12:15We drove home in a taxi.
00:12:16And then...
00:12:17Then his head started bothering him.
00:12:19So we called in Dr. K.
00:12:21And then Dr. Frank and...
00:12:23Well, two other men from the Lenox.
00:12:26And they all agree you're the only one who can help them.
00:12:29Oh, please, Andre.
00:12:32Try to understand.
00:12:35You're the only one who can save him.
00:12:40Why can't you forgive and forget?
00:12:42Hmm.
00:12:44Forgive.
00:12:45Forget.
00:12:46Understand.
00:12:47I do understand.
00:12:49Perhaps too well.
00:12:51I understand how he turned you away from me.
00:12:54After I've treated him like one with a brother.
00:12:57I understand how he made love to you.
00:13:00Right under my eyes.
00:13:02Oh, but what's wrong with that, Andre?
00:13:05It was all so honest.
00:13:07And we've been so happy together.
00:13:10I've explained to you a thousand times.
00:13:15Stephen never knew you cared for me in that way.
00:13:18Can't you understand?
00:13:19I... I could never tell anybody.
00:13:22Not even now.
00:13:24Stephen never dreamed you wanted to marry me.
00:13:28Oh, please, Andre.
00:13:31You're the only one who can save me.
00:13:35Oh, you must do this for...
00:13:37for me and... and for Jane.
00:13:46Oh, Andre, please.
00:13:49Please, you...
00:13:51get me Dr. K at the Lenox, please.
00:13:55Lenox Hospital.
00:13:57Dr. K, please.
00:14:00Dr. Crespi's office calling.
00:14:03K?
00:14:04Mrs. Crespi calling.
00:14:07Mrs. Ross is in my office.
00:14:08I'm calling.
00:14:09Find out the details about Ross.
00:14:13Hmm.
00:14:15Piat?
00:14:20Yeah.
00:14:22Well, if you think so, K...
00:14:25I'll have him brought in right away.
00:14:27I'll see you later.
00:14:29Bye.
00:14:33And Dr. Thomas.
00:14:37Thomas?
00:14:37Crespi.
00:14:39We're bringing in an emergency case right away.
00:14:41Mr. Crespi.
00:14:42Where's he now?
00:14:43Just a minute, please.
00:14:44I'm trying to find out.
00:14:46At whom?
00:14:47Send the ambulance to 1214 South Franklin.
00:14:52You got that?
00:14:54At once for Dr. Stephen Ross.
00:14:57No!
00:14:58You are to bring him here in the ambulance.
00:15:01Is that clear?
00:15:07Sir?
00:15:07I want this to succeed for you, Sir Gastel.
00:15:11Oh, dear Andre.
00:15:14I knew you would.
00:15:17Will you excuse me?
00:15:19I have a lot to do and very little time to do again.
00:15:23Will you wait in the corridor?
00:15:33I can't.
00:15:34No.
00:15:36I can't.
00:15:36I don't see.
00:15:36Please.
00:15:36...
00:16:18My dear friend, my very dear friend.
00:16:37Why can't you forget and forgive?
00:16:43Forget and forgive.
00:16:49Forget and forgive.
00:16:53Forget and forgive.
00:16:56Forget and forgive.
00:17:03Forget and forgive.
00:17:05Forget and forgive.
00:17:13Forget and forgive.
00:17:13Forget and forgive.
00:17:14Forget and forgive.
00:17:14Forget and forgive.
00:17:15Forget and forgive.
00:17:16Forget and forgive.
00:17:25Forget and forgive.
00:17:57I, uh, I merely stopped in to say that...
00:18:00Please, Dr. Thomas, in the future, have the courtesy to announce yourself.
00:18:07I'm sorry, I presumed.
00:18:09Has Dr. Ross arrived?
00:18:11He was brought to 408.
00:18:13Dr. Arnold was in the receiving room.
00:18:18Well, let's have a look at him.
00:18:28Hello?
00:18:30Oh, Dr. K, I've been trying to get you for some time.
00:18:33Dr. Crespi has made a diagnosis and is operating on Dr. Ross immediately.
00:18:38Yes, Dr. Frank is with him.
00:18:40Yes, Dr.
00:18:42Yes, that's all.
00:18:44Oh, gosh, I wish the old man had given me a chance at a tree finding.
00:18:48Darn funny business.
00:18:49What?
00:18:50Oh, nothing.
00:18:51What's eating you now?
00:18:53Crespi operating on Ross.
00:18:55Well, what about it?
00:18:56They've been pals for years.
00:18:57I know.
00:18:58That's what makes it so hard.
00:18:59Oh, you're crazy.
00:19:01Ross is pretty badly hurt.
00:19:02It's the most natural thing in the world for Crespi to put them together again.
00:19:06Gosh, it's just the kind of a job I'd like to do.
00:19:09You know, a good tree finding job would establish me.
00:19:12It's decent of Crespi, though.
00:19:14It's what you'd expect for him to do for a friend.
00:19:17Maybe so.
00:19:18But a man like Crespi doesn't forget so easily.
00:19:21Especially if there's a woman in the case.
00:19:24Especially if the woman happens to be Estelle Dorham Ross.
00:19:27Oh, don't be a fool.
00:19:45Stephen.
00:19:47Now, don't worry.
00:19:51Everything will be all right.
00:19:55Well, I...
00:19:56Don't talk, please.
00:19:58You need all your strength in there.
00:20:18I'll promise you I'll do my very best.
00:20:21Don't worry.
00:20:22Thank you, Andre.
00:21:43Okay.
00:21:45Right.
00:21:52Roger.
00:21:58Okay.
00:22:01Okay.
00:22:01Okay.
00:22:06I've been watching you operate for years, but this is the finest job you've ever done, Dr. Crespi.
00:22:14Thanks.
00:22:21Well, I promised you he would come through.
00:22:24He did. In a few weeks, he'll be better than ever.
00:22:29Oh, I... I wish I could express what I feel, but...
00:22:34But you'd better run along now and get some fresh air.
00:22:37There is nothing you can do here, come on.
00:22:45When may I see him?
00:22:46Oh, about a half an hour.
00:23:00I'd, uh... I'd like you to take a letter for me, if you don't mind.
00:23:06Is anything Crespi in mind?
00:23:09Just a moment, Dr. Arnold. I'll see you.
00:23:17But I still think you are darn nice. And I like you.
00:23:21Thanks. I like you, too, when you behave yourself.
00:23:26What about that letter?
00:23:27Well, you'll have to make that up yourself.
00:23:30Oh, all right. Then you take a letter.
00:23:34Yes, ma'am.
00:23:38To whom?
00:23:42To the American Medical Association at large.
00:23:47To all the doctors in the world, in particular.
00:23:52Gentlemen.
00:23:54And those who are just doctors, like Dr. Thomas.
00:24:00Uh...
00:24:01Your petitioner sets forth that...
00:24:04Dr. John Arnold is the most competent physician in the world.
00:24:08That he has the nicest way of laughing with his eyes and crinkling his nose.
00:24:12That he should be Chief Surgeon at the Taft Clinic because...
00:24:17Want to get me fired?
00:24:18But, John, it is so.
00:24:21Oh, I'll have to beat it now.
00:24:24The boyfriend will begin to suspect something.
00:24:30Dr. Crespi?
00:24:31Who? Fields?
00:24:34Yeah.
00:24:35Dr. Ross?
00:24:36What's his pulse?
00:24:39I'll be up in a minute.
00:24:59To...
00:25:02No...
00:25:04No...
00:25:04어떻게.
00:25:07Every...ek...
00:26:26Uh, is Dr. Crespi coming?
00:26:30Yes, doctor. I called him.
00:27:07I'll call him.
00:27:09I'll call him.
00:27:10I'll call him.
00:27:27That'll help a great deal.
00:27:40If you need me, cardinal.
00:27:43Dr. Crespi.
00:27:46I can't make it out, sir.
00:27:48Hardly any respiration pulse or heart action.
00:28:35I'm sorry, Scott.
00:28:46I'm sorry.
00:28:51I'm sorry.
00:28:57Oh, no.
00:29:00Oh, no.
00:29:01Oh, no.
00:29:01It can't be so.
00:29:04Oh, Stephen.
00:29:07Stephen.
00:29:08Oh, no.
00:29:09Oh, no.
00:29:09It can't be so.
00:29:11I'm sorry.
00:29:16Oh, no.
00:29:18Oh, no.
00:29:22Oh, no.
00:29:28Oh, no.
00:29:40I'll stop there.
00:29:45I'd like you to accompany Mrs. Ross home tonight.
00:29:48She's in great trouble and all alone.
00:29:51You know, we just lost Dr. Ross.
00:29:53Oh, I'm sorry.
00:29:54I'll do anything you wish me to.
00:29:56Thanks.
00:29:57I'm quite sure she'll need you.
00:30:11And, uh, don't forget, uh, before you leave, happens Gordon will leave you.
00:30:16Yes, Doctor.
00:30:21Oh, no.
00:30:31I've asked Miss Rexford to drive home with you tonight.
00:30:36Now, please, as a physician, I believe that you need her.
00:30:42All right.
00:30:54And I'll come later.
00:30:56Oh.
00:30:57Nine o'clock.
00:31:24Is there anything I can do?
00:31:29No.
00:31:31Just see that Dr. Ross is put downstairs.
00:31:39Will you make out the death certificate before you leave?
00:32:03Will you check the time, please?
00:32:056.15.
00:32:08Quite right.
00:32:16Will there be anything else tonight?
00:32:30Come now. Miss Rexton will put you to bed at way past your bedtime.
00:32:35Come give me good night.
00:32:37Good night.
00:32:39Come on, darling.
00:32:50Oh, come on now, Estelle.
00:32:53You'll have to pull yourself together.
00:32:56This sort of thing won't do you any good.
00:33:02I still feel the same way about things.
00:33:05I think you ought to get away.
00:33:08Go out of town.
00:33:12Your mother's place would be the best.
00:33:15You think I should?
00:33:20Yes, perhaps you're right.
00:33:23I'll go right after the...
00:33:30And please, Estelle, don't worry about the arrangement.
00:33:35I'll attend to everything.
00:33:37You can rely on me.
00:33:42Come on. I've got to get some sleep now.
00:33:45It's quite late.
00:34:08I'm going to go ahead and see you.
00:34:10And I've got to do it for the first.
00:34:10I'm going to find you, to be sure.
00:34:10The difference is the one of my books in the notes.
00:34:10On the next six minutes.
00:34:10It's going to be able to be.
00:34:11I'll come to get some tea.
00:35:02Hello, Stephen, my friend, my dear friend,
00:35:10my dear friend.
00:35:13No, you're not dead, are you?
00:35:17Despite the fact that I signed your death certificate hours ago,
00:35:21they just think you're dead.
00:35:24But we know different, don't we, Stephen?
00:35:30You see, the potency of this drug lasts only for about 24 hours.
00:35:40You're just coming out of it.
00:35:50Now then, that's better.
00:35:54That'll keep you quiet for another 24 hours.
00:36:00Your eyes open and you can see.
00:36:03You can hear everything.
00:36:07Yes, and you can feel.
00:36:10But you can't make the slightest sound.
00:36:14And you can't move an eyelash.
00:36:18And here you lie, helpless, paralyzed, unable to shield yourself.
00:36:25And you wonder why.
00:36:28I'll tell you, you've made me suffer for five long years by marrying Estelle.
00:36:36And you can't laugh at me the way you did when I begged you to let Estelle alone?
00:36:39Yes, I never forgot that laugh.
00:36:42You didn't think I could be serious when I told you that I loved Estelle.
00:36:46And then you married her.
00:36:50And ever since then, I hoped and prayed for the chance to pay you back someday with compound interest.
00:37:02I have something to tell you.
00:37:03Well, if you promise to let me come back in a half hour,
00:37:06Dr. Cresby gave her some sleeping powder so I know she won't wake up right away.
00:37:11All right, ten minutes then.
00:37:13Downstairs.
00:37:19This is the second time you broke our date.
00:37:21And it's always Dr. Cresby.
00:37:23Well, there you go again.
00:37:25Dr. Cresby this and Dr. Cresby that.
00:37:27Why, I have to phone all over town to find you.
00:37:30That's right, John. Keep it up. Go on. Be jealous.
00:37:33But I tell you, I can't stand it any longer.
00:37:36You can't stand it?
00:37:38Well, neither can I.
00:37:39He could have sent Gordon just as well.
00:37:41But no, you had to go.
00:37:43Oh, well, if that's all you have to talk about, I'm not interested and I won't listen any longer.
00:37:50I won't. I can't.
00:37:54Stephen, my friend, I have you.
00:37:58And you shall experience such horrors as you have never dreamed of in your wildest nightmare.
00:38:06How would you like to see your own funeral, huh?
00:38:11How would you like to see me on your grave's edge, hearing the earth fall on your casket?
00:38:20How would you like to feel the cold of your own grave?
00:38:25Tomorrow, around midnight, your muscles will be alive again.
00:38:32But it will be too late.
00:38:34You will be encased in a casket, which I myself picked out of it, and eight feet of heavy earth
00:38:43above you.
00:38:45And in your friend's view, you will pound and then scratch, and you will gasp and suffocate.
00:38:56Didn't you tell me once that you liked the carnations more than any other flowers?
00:39:05Didn't you? I thought so.
00:39:07I shall send you some tomorrow.
00:39:10Look for them on your casket.
00:39:12They will be for me.
00:39:17I must hurry now.
00:39:20Perhaps I'll see you still.
00:39:23I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.
00:39:43And pleasant dreams.
00:39:56Good morning, Miss Gordon.
00:39:58Good morning, Dr. Crespi.
00:39:59Dr. Blakeford called.
00:40:01He said he'd get in touch with you later on in the day.
00:40:04Oh, there was a man here from the Benton parlors.
00:40:07He said you told him to fix up Dr. Ross.
00:40:10I sent him downstairs.
00:40:12How long ago?
00:40:13Oh, about 15 minutes ago.
00:40:21Who sent you?
00:40:23Dr. Crespi.
00:40:24I am Dr. Crespi.
00:40:26I gave distinct orders not to do anything but to supply the coffin.
00:40:29I'm sorry, sir.
00:40:30I'm a new man on the job.
00:40:32They didn't say anything except to fix him up.
00:40:34You fool.
00:40:35Keep her short on.
00:40:36I ain't done nothing.
00:40:40Well, you haven't started yet.
00:40:44Well, that's different.
00:40:49It doesn't really make any difference except that the deceased was unalterably opposed to
00:40:55men of your profession.
00:41:04All right.
00:41:07All right.
00:41:11Well, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.
00:42:07I didn't call you.
00:42:11I know that.
00:42:15But I want to talk to you.
00:42:21About what?
00:42:22It's about Stephen Ross.
00:42:26What about it? You have the charts.
00:42:29The case is closed.
00:42:30You're mistaken.
00:42:32The case is not closed.
00:42:35Because the most important thing does not appear on the charts.
00:42:40Ross was poisoned.
00:42:43And you can't get away with it.
00:42:47You be careful, Thomas.
00:42:50I know you did it.
00:42:51And I know why you did it.
00:42:54You couldn't explain.
00:43:00Explain.
00:43:01Explain that.
00:43:02Dillain.
00:43:03Go on. Hit me.
00:43:04I don't care.
00:43:05I still say you poisoned him.
00:43:07Get that.
00:43:08Go on.
00:43:10You murdered him.
00:43:11You can't beat that out of me.
00:43:13You can't shut me up.
00:43:15You murdered him.
00:43:17Murdered?
00:43:18Poisoned?
00:43:20What do you know about it?
00:43:21I don't know about it.
00:43:23No.
00:44:35Miss Gordon, please get me Fossati.
00:44:38Yes, the florist.
00:44:48Fossati?
00:44:48This is Dr. Crespi.
00:44:51Thanks, fine.
00:44:53That is, I want to order some flowers for my colleague, Dr. Ross.
00:44:58Yes.
00:45:00Of course.
00:45:01You can imagine.
00:45:04We've been friends for years.
00:45:08Well, I want the most beautiful floral design that ever came out of your shop.
00:45:14I don't care anything about the price.
00:45:16Just so that it is the last word in flowers.
00:45:22By the way, his favorite flowers were clenations.
00:45:26Isn't that funny?
00:45:27Uh, but you could put some roses in with him.
00:45:32I personally like roses.
00:45:36Now, get that.
00:45:38On one ribbon, uh, have, uh, to my valued colleague, in sincerest friendship.
00:45:49You got that?
00:45:51And on the other, oh, just Andre.
00:45:56A-N-D-R-E.
00:46:01Oh, great.
00:46:03Where is thy victory?
00:46:05The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is law.
00:46:10My beloved brother, be steadfast, unmoved.
00:46:33Come in.
00:46:45Well, that's funny.
00:46:48I thought I heard someone knock.
00:46:50Any pains of death to fall from thee?
00:46:54Lord, have mercy on us.
00:46:58Amen.
00:47:24I'm sorry, but I can't locate Dr. Thomas.
00:47:29Well, I don't know where he is, either.
00:47:32No.
00:47:34I think he's at the funeral with Dr. Crespi.
00:47:37All right.
00:47:38I'll call you back.
00:47:39Almighty God, with whom you live, the spirits of those who depart hence from the Lord.
00:47:47And with whom the soul, everlasting glory, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
00:47:56Amen.
00:48:03Earth to earth, axis to axis, and dust to dust.
00:48:10Oh, God.ака.
00:48:31Yes,
00:48:31indeed. It is
00:48:33on the earth. It is
00:48:34so simple. We're
00:48:34are. Are you
00:48:36jerking me, poor child?
00:48:39I love you.
00:49:08Shh.
00:49:40Have a nice nap?
00:50:03Sorry I had to treat you so rough.
00:50:08You know, if I wouldn't have locked you up today,
00:50:10you would have blurted your ideas all over the place,
00:50:13and it wouldn't have helped you or me or the hospital.
00:50:22And, uh, I think I'm gonna let you go back to work.
00:50:26But in the future, Thomas,
00:50:30I wished you would keep your ideas to yourself
00:50:34very much to yourself.
00:50:45Uh-huh.
00:50:56Because the next time you have any bad dreams,
00:51:01I'll try the observation ward.
00:51:07Is that clear?
00:51:08Is that clear?
00:51:09Is that clear?
00:51:21Okay.
00:51:22Have a wait.
00:51:32Hold on.
00:51:40Thank you very much.
00:52:13I can't get away with it, huh?
00:52:15You can't get away with it. That's what I told him.
00:52:19Count me up.
00:52:21It may be true, but you're never going to prove anything on the old man, even if he did poison
00:52:26him.
00:52:27Anyway, no grave robbing for me. It isn't worth it.
00:52:31It won't take long. We can dig him up, cut him open, and if we can't discover any poison,
00:52:37we can have him back in the cemetery within two hours.
00:52:40All right, go ahead and bring him in. I'll help you work on him.
00:52:44I can't do it myself. You know that.
00:52:48Think what it'll mean if we get the goods on Crespi.
00:52:53And he is guilty. He never would have locked me up if he were innocent.
00:52:59If you can't help me, I'm going to spill it to the district attorney.
00:53:02I wouldn't do that if I were you.
00:53:06I still don't believe it.
00:53:07But if it ever gets out, it'll put us all under a cloud of suspicion.
00:53:12Personally, I'd rather be out of it.
00:53:15But if you feel that way about it...
00:53:18All right, I'll go.
00:53:20What time do you want to start?
00:53:22About ten?
00:53:42Are you sure this is it?
00:53:43Yes.
00:53:45Yes.
00:54:14Well, that's the whole wheel.
00:54:40Mommy, are we going back to see Daddy?
00:54:44No, dear. Daddy's gone away.
00:54:48We won't see him for some time.
00:54:51Why did he go? Why did he kiss me goodbye?
00:54:57Someday, someday I'll try to explain to you.
00:55:00Why can't we stay here?
00:55:04I'll tell you later.
00:55:06See, we must get ready. We're going away on a train.
00:55:09We're going to see Grandmother.
00:55:32We're going to see you.
00:55:41We're going to see you later.
00:55:59Miss Gordon?
00:56:01Dr. Crespi.
00:56:03When Mrs. Ross arrives, will you send her immediately to my office?
00:56:07What?
00:56:08No. I'm seeing her off.
00:56:26Deplorable. Deplorable.
00:56:34What a loss to the medical profession.
00:56:42What do you make of it?
00:56:48He's been dead for a day and a half and rigor mortis hasn't set in yet.
00:56:55Ready for the instrument.
00:56:59Okay.
00:57:10Hey.
00:57:12My blood!
00:57:27It's a good thing you called, Clara. I was half asleep.
00:57:32Why? You don't see how anyone can sleep in a hospital.
00:57:37Say, that's about all there is to do around here, and that's just sleep.
00:57:41It's the quietest spot in the world.
00:57:45There hasn't been any excitement since the quintuplets.
00:57:51No, there's no one here except the old man.
00:57:54And he's expecting Mrs. Ross.
00:57:57You know, her husband was buried this afternoon.
00:58:01There's a nice picture of him on page three in the news.
00:58:05He's nice looking.
00:58:07I could have gone for him.
00:58:11But that's the way it is, dearie.
00:58:14You never do get near the good ones.
00:58:17I don't know why, but I've got the funniest feeling.
00:58:24Oh, but nothing ever happens around here.
00:58:28I wish he would.
00:58:29Where is Dr. Cresby?
00:58:33Where is Dr. Cresby?
00:58:34Howl!
00:58:35Howl!
00:58:36Howl!
00:58:37Howl!
00:58:49Howl!
00:59:15So you've come back to haunt me.
00:59:21I didn't like the coffin that I picked out for you, huh?
00:59:26Well, let me tell you.
00:59:28As a ghost, you're just as hideous...
00:59:32...as that rotten carcass of yours...
00:59:36...out at a long cemetery.
00:59:58Steven!
00:59:59Steven!
01:00:00Take him away from me, Mestela!
01:00:03John, don't move!
01:00:04John!
01:00:16Don't worry.
01:00:19I'm not gonna hurt any of you.
01:00:23It's all finished.
01:00:26I'm through.
01:00:30The great Dr. Crespi.
01:00:34Don't!
01:00:37Dr. Crespi!
01:00:57Good afternoon, Dr. Arnold.
01:01:00So you've come to take your family home, eh?
01:01:01Sure, Doc.
01:01:02Take my wife in the faggots.
01:01:04I got them with Raphael, Marianne, Rosine...
01:01:06...and Mariusz and Angeline.
01:01:14Well, if you need us again, just call us.
01:01:17Then that's the summertime, Doc.
01:01:20You know, get awake a little bit.
01:01:25Good afternoon, Doctor.
01:01:26Hello.
01:01:27Anything new?
01:01:28Mrs. Arnold is waiting for you.
01:01:29Find your mail on your desk.
01:01:30Thanks.
01:01:36Sorry.
01:01:37The boss is tied up.
01:01:41A new case?
01:01:44Not quite.
01:01:47Here, who's in there?
01:01:49Mrs. Arnold.
01:01:54That's different.
01:01:59Uh, doing anything tonight?
01:02:04Oh, Doc Thomas.
01:02:19I need咬s.
01:02:21I need the São Paulo.
01:02:26When I come to take a stand, it's gonna have everyone.
01:02:26You're welcome.
