Criminally Insane, (also known as Crazy Fat Ethel), is a 1975 horror film written and directed by Nick Millard. Shot on location in San Francisco, it was followed by a 1987 sequel titled Criminally Insane 2. A remake, Crazy Fat Ethel, was released in 2016.
Storyline:
An obese woman recently released from an insane asylum kills anyone who attempts to get her to stop eating.
After her doctors declare her ready to return to society, Ethel leaves the psychiatric hospital and goes to live with her grandmother. When Grandma locks up the food supply out of fear for her granddaughter's health, Ethel doesn't like what grandma did. For her there is only one solution. Murder anyone who dares to stand in the way of her and food. Will anyone be able to stop her?
