A group of teen-agers vacationing in the tropics take a boat out to a seemingly deserted island. They soon find, however, that the island is inhabited by a wealthy recluse and his staff. While their host is initially hospitable, he quickly reveals his true purpose: to hunt down and kill each of his visitors, then puts them on display under glass as he has done with everyone unlucky enough to set foot on his island.

00:00:11The End
00:01:31I can navigate this tub with one hand.
00:01:34Uh-oh, Johnny. I think he's at it again.
00:01:46If he does that once more, I think I'm going to get sick.
00:01:49I think all this action has made the fish sick.
00:01:51I can't seem to make any contact with him at all.
00:01:54Okay, Betty, let her go.
00:01:59Hey, not bad. Not bad at all.
00:02:03Here, you want to try it?
00:02:04Sure. Only there's one hitch.
00:02:07What?
00:02:08No more bottles.
00:02:10Well, I, um, guess we'll have to play a different game.
00:02:14What else can we do out here?
00:02:17Well, uh, this is always fun.
00:02:28Come on.
00:02:29Of all the girls in the world,
00:02:30I had to get mixed up with a daughter of a judo expert.
00:02:33Daddy told me lots of men like to wrestle.
00:02:37Well, that's not exactly what I had in mind.
00:02:48Hey, come here. Come here.
00:02:50What is it?
00:02:52Look at that.
00:02:53There's an island way over there
00:02:54that I don't remember seeing before.
00:03:00Well, this is the brightest day we've had in our vacation.
00:03:02Must have been hidden in the mists out there before.
00:03:04Oh, a mysterious hidden island.
00:03:07Let's go ashore.
00:03:09What for?
00:03:11Well, maybe we can find some hidden pirate treasures.
00:03:14Maybe it would be fun.
00:03:16What do you say, Johnny?
00:03:18Oh, why not?
00:03:19This boat's costing us enough.
00:03:20We might as well see everything we can.
00:03:22Hey, Tony, put in here.
00:03:24We want to go ashore.
00:03:39Boy, he's really tied one on this time.
00:03:42Looks like he's going to be out for quite a while.
00:03:44What are we going to do?
00:03:45Well, I know I can get this boat in close enough the island
00:03:48to get the anchor down.
00:03:50But I'm not sure I can get us back to the main island.
00:03:52So, I guess our little treasure hunt's the best thing to do
00:03:55until our navigator sobers up.
00:03:58You and the girls get the dinghy ready
00:03:59and I'll take us in closer to the shore.
00:04:01Okay.
00:04:14Bye-bye.
00:04:15Bye-bye.
00:04:15Bye-bye.
00:04:16Bye-bye.
00:04:16Bye-bye.
00:04:17Bye-bye.
00:04:33Come back!
00:04:35Come back, you fools!
00:04:37Don't land there!
00:04:39Come back!
00:04:58Hey, I wonder if anyone lives here.
00:04:59Oh, no chance.
00:05:00There have been any natives on this island.
00:05:02They'd have spotted the boat before now.
00:05:03They're down here trying to sell us hand-painted coconuts.
00:05:05What do we do now?
00:05:06Well, my intuition tells me that Captain Kidd buried his loot over there.
00:05:12Hey, let's race up there.
00:05:13Last one doesn't get any of the jewels, huh?
00:05:15Oh!
00:05:28Say what I tell you.
00:05:29This looks just like the remains of Captain Morgan's flagship.
00:05:32Oh, but back there you said it was Captain Kidd.
00:05:34I did?
00:05:36Well, I guess one pirate's gold is as good as another's.
00:05:41I think I found something.
00:05:43Hey, I think I found something.
00:05:45Oh, what is it?
00:05:47Uh, armor?
00:05:48Pirate's armor?
00:05:49Well, let's just say it's something the tide washed in.
00:05:54I think you're just a little too young to know about it.
00:05:58Hey, gang, come here!
00:06:10Did you find something, Johnny?
00:06:11You bet I did.
00:06:12Look.
00:06:13Oh, what is it?
00:06:14Some of the best eating in these waters.
00:06:16A lot of clams around here, too.
00:06:17I'm getting hungry.
00:06:19Hey, let's have a clam bake.
00:06:20Right.
00:06:21And let's have a tropical style.
00:06:22Well, how do you mean?
00:06:23Well, look, Pete and I'll go into the jungle and get some banana leaves.
00:06:26We'll wrap the clams in them and bake them in a hole in the sand.
00:06:28You girls stay here and dig for some.
00:06:30Oh, that's fine.
00:06:31All except the last part.
00:06:32Huh?
00:06:33Where you go, we go.
00:06:35Right?
00:06:35Right.
00:06:36We'll all go for the leaves and then we'll all dig.
00:06:39Okay, okay.
00:06:40Come on, let's go.
00:06:52We're in the jungle without banana trees.
00:06:55Hey, wait a minute.
00:06:58It's a cigarette pack.
00:07:00It's not too old, either.
00:07:01I can still smell the tobacco.
00:07:03That means that somebody does live here.
00:07:05Well, not necessarily.
00:07:06Maybe somebody just went exploring a couple of days ago and then sailed away.
00:07:10I don't know why, but I'm scared.
00:07:12Let's go back to the boat.
00:07:13There's nothing to be scared of.
00:07:14Oh, no.
00:07:15It'll only take a few minutes.
00:07:16Then we'll be back at the beach.
00:07:17Come on.
00:07:18Come on.
00:07:19Come on.
00:07:19Come on.
00:07:20Come on.
00:07:21Come on.
00:07:22Come on.
00:07:23Come on.
00:07:24Come on.
00:07:26Come on.
00:07:26Come on.
00:07:33Come on.
00:07:34Come on.
00:07:37Come on.
00:07:37Come on.
00:07:40Come on.
00:07:42Come on.
00:07:42Oh, we've got to get him out of there.
00:07:45He looks hurt.
00:07:46Right.
00:07:46I'll get some vines.
00:07:47We can use them to pull him out.
00:07:48Oh, this is a trap.
00:07:50It was deliberately dug here.
00:07:52But who could have done it?
00:07:53Oh, I don't know.
00:07:54But I do know that as soon as we get him up out of that hole, we're getting out of
00:07:57here.
00:07:58Wait a minute, please.
00:07:59I'll climb down.
00:08:01We'll need you here to pull him up.
00:08:02Okay, but be careful.
00:08:03Okay.
00:08:14Okay.
00:08:15Start pulling.
00:08:26Help them.
00:08:27Quickly.
00:08:37Yes, I came here shortly after the war.
00:08:40I wanted to live in a world of my own.
00:08:42A world completely free from any kind of outside pressures.
00:08:46Yeah, but what do you do here?
00:08:47Yeah, how do you get any kicks in a place like this?
00:08:50Kicks.
00:08:52Oh, I've found diversions.
00:08:55I've developed a kind of passion for hunting.
00:08:58So that's it.
00:08:59That's why the trap is...
00:09:00No, no, no.
00:09:01You're quite wrong.
00:09:02You see, this island was once the stronghold of some renegades from the mainland.
00:09:06There may be one or two of them still lurking in the jungle.
00:09:09The trap must have been their handiwork.
00:09:11But all these different animals, they can't be native to this island.
00:09:15They weren't.
00:09:16But you must know what money can accomplish.
00:09:18It's quite simple to import any kind of wild beast from anywhere in the world.
00:09:22Well, as other men collect fame and riches, I collect trophies.
00:09:31Dr. Gover, get out of my way!
00:09:34Ah, thanks.
00:09:37I thought you had visitors.
00:09:39I...
00:09:39I hear these strange voices.
00:09:43Yes, Dean.
00:09:45These young people have stumbled onto my retreat.
00:09:48I see that you're not feeling well again this evening.
00:09:52That's right.
00:09:55Maybe, uh...
00:09:56I shouldn't bother with introductions now.
00:10:00I'll, uh...
00:10:01I'll go back to my room.
00:10:03I think that'll be best.
00:10:05You can meet our young friends later.
00:10:12That's right.
00:10:15Meet our young friends...
00:10:18...later.
00:10:21Later.
00:10:25It's really too bad.
00:10:28Dean was once a very brilliant man, but...
00:10:31I keep him here with me because I feel sorry for him.
00:10:34And he's an excellent chess player.
00:10:36I know you'll all enjoy his company when he's sober and you get a chance to know him.
00:10:41Well, I'm sure that's right, sir.
00:10:42But, uh...
00:10:43I don't think we'll get the chance.
00:10:44We have to leave now.
00:10:45You see, our boat's anchored off the island.
00:10:47I'm afraid that's quite out of the question.
00:10:49You'd never make it through this animal-infested jungle tonight.
00:10:52But our boat...
00:10:53You see, the man who wants it doesn't know he went ashore.
00:10:56And he's sure to wake up...
00:10:56You can put your minds at rest.
00:10:58I have a very competent staff.
00:11:00They'll take care of everything.
00:11:02Will you excuse me a moment?
00:11:04I'll be right back.
00:11:17Johnny?
00:11:18Johnny, what are we gonna do?
00:11:20This place gives me the creeps.
00:11:22Oh, I don't know.
00:11:23I...
00:11:24I'd kinda like to see what gives.
00:11:26Yeah, sure.
00:11:26And what do you think's gonna happen when Tony wakes up and finds us gone?
00:11:29He'll head straight back to port.
00:11:31Maybe remember to report us missing.
00:11:34We'll be able to be stuck here for days.
00:11:36Don't worry about that.
00:11:37Tony won't be going anywhere without us.
00:11:39What do you mean?
00:11:41I mean, I made sure of that before we left the boat by taking the rotor.
00:11:44He won't be able to start the engines without it.
00:11:47Oh, Pete, you're wonderful.
00:11:49Well, that takes care of the boat, but...
00:11:51Hold it.
00:11:51I think he's coming back.
00:12:05May I present my wife?
00:12:07Sandra, Betty, Jeannie, Johnny and Pete.
00:12:12I was sure that you would want to make them welcome to our island.
00:12:16Naturally.
00:12:17I am glad to see you.
00:12:20Will you be staying for a while?
00:12:23Well, you see, Mrs. Bellow...
00:12:25Yes, they will, my dear.
00:12:26I think I've convinced them of the foolishness of trying to leave tonight.
00:12:30But we don't want to impose.
00:12:32It's our pleasure.
00:12:35Isn't it, Sandra?
00:12:36Of course.
00:12:38And now, if you'll show the girls to the guest room.
00:12:42Yes.
00:12:43Will you come with me, please?
00:12:55I've made arrangements for you to spend a comfortable night.
00:12:58We can discuss your leaving in the morning.
00:13:04Sandra has prepared a room for you.
00:13:06He will take you to it.
00:13:09Well, I don't think we are...
00:13:10Good night.
00:13:11Don't worry.
00:13:13Everything will be taken care of.
00:13:40Everything will be taken care of.
00:13:42We've taken care of.
00:13:57All right.
00:14:08We've taken care of.
00:14:10All right.
00:14:11I've taken care of...
00:14:11All right.
00:14:12And his spies are all over the house.
00:14:14I know.
00:14:16I know.
00:14:18I can't take much more of his madness, Sandra.
00:14:21I can't go on forever pretending to be a useless drunk.
00:14:26Now we've got to try to escape with him.
00:14:29We've got to try again.
00:14:31But how, Dean, how?
00:14:33He can never allow anyone to leave this place alive.
00:14:36And he has made sure no one ever will.
00:14:39I know.
00:14:41Well, I'm going to gamble in a long shot.
00:14:44And now with these kids here, I think we've got a chance.
00:14:47What do you mean?
00:14:50I've worked it all out of my mind.
00:14:57Ah, Sandra.
00:14:59Entertaining our gift?
00:15:06You've recovered from your indisposition, I see.
00:15:08I'm glad.
00:15:10Um, thank you.
00:15:11I was just about to take a turn around the grounds.
00:15:14Wouldn't you two like to join me?
00:15:16You go out so seldom.
00:15:20I am tired, Alex.
00:15:22I was about to go to my room.
00:15:25Dean?
00:15:26No.
00:15:28No, thank you.
00:15:29Well, I, um, I think I'll turn in two.
00:15:33Well, then you won't mind escorting Sandra to her room.
00:15:36With?
00:15:38Of course not.
00:15:44Good night.
00:15:47Good night.
00:15:48Dean.
00:15:50I've worked out a very satisfactory design for living here.
00:15:54I think you realize that.
00:15:56I hope you also realize that the presence of those four young people here changes nothing as far as we're
00:16:02concerned.
00:16:16You don't think we're dreaming, do you, Betty?
00:16:19No, this is no dream.
00:16:22Well, I can't think of a better explanation either.
00:16:33Come in.
00:16:38You all right?
00:16:39So far we are, but I just can't understand what's happening to us.
00:16:42Neither can I.
00:16:44That big guy that took us to our room up the hall wasn't very friendly.
00:16:47Well, I've got a feeling this isn't as friendly a place as that Mr. Below tries to make out.
00:16:51I still can't figure out how it got here on the island in the first place.
00:16:55Well, I figured that this house was first built by one of those, you know, crackpot millionaires about a hundred
00:16:58years ago.
00:16:59Then when Below found out about it, he sort of moved in.
00:17:02But, you know, that could be it.
00:17:03He said he had a lot of money.
00:17:05But why?
00:17:06Oh, I still don't know what's going on here.
00:17:09Well, it's a cinch nobody's going to tell us.
00:17:11So we'll just have to find out for ourselves.
00:17:13Yeah, but how?
00:17:14Let's split up and have a look around.
00:17:16Oh, I don't know.
00:17:18I'm kind of scared.
00:17:20Well, there's nothing to be scared about.
00:17:21I mean, I'll be with you.
00:17:23That's right.
00:17:24And Betty, you'll be with me.
00:17:26Now, listen.
00:17:27Don't get into anything you can't handle.
00:17:29And if you find out anything, head straight back here and we'll do the same.
00:17:33Okay?
00:17:34Yeah.
00:17:35Let's go.
00:17:48Okay, this is where we split.
00:17:50Pete, you and Jeannie go that way.
00:17:52Okay.
00:18:04It'll make a sound.
00:18:06I promise to release you, but only if you swear not to cry out.
00:18:10All right.
00:18:12Go back to your room.
00:18:13We'll go with you.
00:18:15We've got to talk to you.
00:18:17What's this all about?
00:18:18Please, go back to your room.
00:18:19We cannot talk here.
00:18:21Please.
00:18:21There is death all around us.
00:18:24Okay, Betty, come on.
00:18:26Hurry.
00:18:43Well, there's something I want to tell you.
00:18:45Unless you do exactly as I say, you'll never get off this island.
00:18:48See you then.
00:18:57Oh, yeah.
00:19:06Hey.
00:19:18there's a stairway there that leads down into some kind of a tunnel
00:19:21so come on let's see where it goes
00:19:27please listen to him we are trying to help you and ourselves i don't understand any of this
00:19:33well i'll try and explain it as quickly as i can
00:19:36first we better have your friends from the other room in here but they're not there what oh they're
00:19:41out in the house somewhere they're trying to find out what's going on just as we were when you

00:24:41what can we do
00:24:42well I have a plan
00:24:44but I think it'll give us all a good chance
00:24:47now Sandra
00:24:48you and Betty stay here and watch after Jean
00:24:50to be sure she's all right
00:24:52Johnny I want you and Peter to meet me in the trophy room in a little while
00:24:55oh it's all right we have the run of the house
00:24:57only be careful what you say
00:24:58yeah but what about Bello
00:24:59you don't have to worry about him for a couple of hours
00:25:02he's out in the jungle again
00:25:05after another trophy
00:25:12you think this Gerard character's on the level
00:25:15well he must be
00:25:16anybody in their right minds would want to get out of this place
00:25:18and I don't think he's nuts
00:25:24I just had to make sure that Bello had really gone
00:25:26does he go out every night
00:25:28yes every night that he can hunt
00:25:31what I mean who
00:25:32who
00:25:34out there in that jungle
00:25:35there are already several men that he's driven insane
00:25:38and now there's
00:25:39also probably the owner of your boat
00:25:41Tony
00:25:42well he must still be out in the boat
00:25:44the engines won't work
00:25:45no
00:25:45I'm sure that by now
00:25:47Bello's men have taken that boat to the other side of the island
00:25:49to the hidden cove
00:25:51hidden cove
00:25:52well where's that
00:25:54that's where your only chance for escape lies
00:25:57how do you mean
00:25:59there are several boats moored offshore
00:26:03someone will have to swim out to one of them
00:26:05and
00:26:06try to make it to the mainland to get help
00:26:08well I'm not much of a swimmer but I'll try
00:26:10no no
00:26:11I'll do that myself
00:26:13and Sandra will come with me
00:26:15Sandra?
00:26:16that's right
00:26:17she's an excellent swimmer
00:26:19and even if we don't make it
00:26:23drowning would be better than what Bello had
00:26:26in mind for both of us
00:26:30now where do we fit into all this?
00:26:33I'm going to tell you
00:26:37you're going to have to cover for us
00:26:39if the guards find us gone
00:26:40divert their attention
00:26:41until we get to the boat
00:26:43and after that
00:26:45after that I'm afraid you'll have to look out for yourselves
00:26:47until I can come back with help
00:26:52hey Johnny
00:26:53oh I know it doesn't sound very promising
00:26:55but believe me
00:26:56it's the only chance you've got
00:27:00well I guess we'll have to take it then
00:27:02good
00:27:03now listen to me
00:27:04the first thing we do
00:27:06is go over to the north shore
00:27:33do they get away?
00:27:34so far so good
00:27:35they went as far as the front door with them
00:27:37nobody saw them
00:27:37well those guards must be getting careless
00:27:39one of them walked right by Sandra's room
00:27:41without checking it
00:27:42do you think he knows?
00:27:52I don't know
00:27:54but Dean and Sandra have had time to get into the jungle
00:27:57let's hope they make it to the cove
00:28:01wait a minute
00:28:02do you think we have to stop Dean?
00:28:04wait a minute
00:28:04I just want to make sure of the direction
00:28:07that guard won't be back right away
00:28:10yes that's it
00:28:10Dean
00:28:11what is it?
00:28:12I may never get a chance to say this again

00:29:04Did you find anything?
00:29:05No.
00:29:06I listened to two guards talking.
00:29:07One of them had been over to the cove,
00:29:08but he didn't mention anything about the boats.
00:29:10It's been two days now and no word.
00:29:12What I can't understand is why we haven't heard from Ballot before now.
00:29:16You don't think...
00:29:18I don't know what to think.
00:29:20Hold it.
00:29:22Somebody's coming.
00:29:22I don't know what to think.
00:29:40What's going on in there, Johnny?
00:29:43You game to try and find out?
00:29:46You don't mean...
00:29:47I think the answers to all our questions lie behind that wall.
00:30:09We're going to find out right now.
00:30:11We're going to find out.
00:30:17Okay.
00:30:39I don't know what to think.
00:30:41We'll find out.
00:30:41We're going to find out.
00:30:44Good evening.
00:30:49This is a pleasant surprise.
00:30:51I wasn't expecting you, but I'm glad to see you.
00:30:55Come in, come in, monsieur.
00:31:02I have something I'd like to show you.
00:31:11Welcome to my private trophy room.
00:31:15I had intended to show it to you in time, but why not now?
00:31:24That's Jacoby.
00:31:26He had strangled seven women before he found his way to my island.
00:31:31His experience made him an adversary worthy of my skill.
00:31:36You mean you hunted these people down, and then killed them and did that to them?
00:31:41Exactly.
00:31:43I hunted them.
00:31:45And shall I tell you why?
00:31:48I'd been a scholar all my life.
00:31:51I was curator of a large museum when the war began.
00:31:56I, who had never killed anything in my life, found myself assigned to duty as a sniper, a sharpshooter, because
00:32:03of my steady hand and keen eyesight.
00:32:07It amuses me now that I found it distasteful, at first.
00:32:13Then as time went by, I adjusted to my new activity, and what had been an unpleasant duty became a
00:32:20pleasure.
00:32:21Then it developed into a passion, and then into a lust, a lust for blood, a lust that has grown
00:32:28with the years,
00:32:29and one that I spend my entire life trying to satisfy.
00:32:36Don't be afraid.
00:32:38I've merely preserved my trophies as they were at the moment of my triumph.
00:32:51I see that my latest trophy has really impressed you.
00:32:55I'm glad, because I think it's the best thing I've done so far.
00:33:01And because they tried to betray me, it gave me great satisfaction.
00:33:10I must leave you now.
00:33:12Since you had no difficulty finding your way here, I'm sure that when Miss Scott has regained her composure,
00:33:18you'll be able to see her to her room.
00:33:21Oh, yes.
00:33:22There's one thing more I'd like to have you see before you go.
00:33:31You'll notice that this niche has room for three, or even four, trophies.
00:33:50And there you have it.
00:33:51I think it'll be a wonderful sport.
00:33:54Don't you?
00:33:55Listen, Mr. Below, fun's fun.
00:33:57But if you think we're going to be the clay pigeons, and you're shooting, Galloway, you're just a little far
00:34:00out.
00:34:01Take it easy, Johnny.
00:34:02He must be kidding.
00:34:03I mean, there must be an explanation for all of this, isn't there?
00:34:10Wasn't there?
00:34:11I think I've made myself quite clear.
00:34:14But you can't mean that you're going to hunt Johnny and Pete like you did those others.
00:34:17Is it they're animals?
00:34:19Animals?
00:34:19No.
00:34:20Not like animals.
00:34:22I'm going to hunt them as men.
00:34:23Men of brains and cunning.
00:34:26Just as I stalked and hunted men when I was in the army.
00:34:29Tony, Torn Island's not very different from this one.
00:34:35Tony!
00:34:42I think it's only fair that he should be here at this time, because he's going to take part in
00:34:46the game, too.
00:34:48No.
00:34:49No.
00:34:49Please.
00:34:50Don't send me out there with them.
00:34:54Tony, you've outlived your usefulness to me.
00:34:57Tony, I've paid you well to provide me with subjects in the past.
00:35:00I've warned you not to use your boat for other purposes.
00:35:03But since you've been so foolish as to allow these young people to find their way here without my knowledge,
00:35:08I think it only right that you should share their fate.
00:35:11Do you mean...
00:35:12That's exactly what I mean.
00:35:15Tony was my source of supply for subjects.
00:35:18In the past, they were always convicts escaped from the penal island.
00:35:22Now I find him no longer dependable.
00:35:25You really think you can get away with this madness?
00:35:28Madness?
00:35:29What I plan is a pleasant evening's diversion.
00:35:32See, I know he was only kidding.
00:35:34Well, that's just a toy.
00:35:35Well, I couldn't kill anyone.
00:35:36I couldn't kill anyone.
00:36:01I guess it could kill somebody.
00:36:06Yes, it can.
00:36:08And soon we'll try to prove it.
00:36:11Please, Mr. Bellow.
00:36:12Don't do this awful thing.
00:36:14Oh, please.
00:36:14You have nothing to be alarmed about, young lady.
00:36:17You're in no danger.
00:36:18Either of you.
00:36:19Your life here with me will be a pleasant one.
00:36:22You'll find me a most accommodating host.
00:36:24Do you think Jeannie and I will have anything to do with you if you send Pete and Johnny out
00:36:28and kill them in that jungle?
00:36:30Yes, I think so.
00:36:31I know so.
00:36:32No one has ever left this island, dead or alive.
00:36:35And since the unfortunate incident involving my wife has left me without feminine company,
00:36:41I look forward to getting to know you both better.
00:36:44Much better.
00:36:46Look, isn't it enough you have to make sitting ducks out of Pete and me?
00:36:50You have to hurt the girls, too?
00:36:52Hurt them?
00:36:53He really means it.
00:36:55What are we going to do?
00:36:58I think you've asked the wrong person about your future activity.
00:37:02Go with Shondor.
00:37:05Shondor, lock them in their room and then come back at once.
00:37:26Very touching.
00:37:27But to return to your question, Pete, I will tell you exactly what to do up to a certain point.
00:37:32The rest, then, will be up to you.
00:37:34Are you listening to this, Tony?
00:37:36It applies to you, too.
00:37:38The moonlight's bright tonight, so you will make your way to the starting point of the chase.
00:37:42It's in the center of the jungle.
00:37:44Ivor will give you exact directions.
00:37:46The natives used to call it the tree of death.
00:37:50I will give you plenty of time to plan your flight before I follow with the crossbow.
00:37:55And just three of these.
00:37:57Just three shots.
00:37:59That's all I allow myself.
00:38:01Very sporting, don't you think?
00:38:06You haven't answered me.
00:38:07Don't you think it's very sporting of me to allow myself just one chance at each of you?
00:38:12Oh, sure.
00:38:14Real sporting.
00:38:15Regular Marcus of Queensbury.
00:38:17In a jungle that you know like the palm of your hand?
00:38:20With that thing that could knock an elephant over?
00:38:22You're going to hunt us down.
00:38:23Of course, we have nothing to defend ourselves with.
00:38:25Not so fast, not so fast.
00:38:28You haven't allowed me to finish the entire plan of the evening's entertainment.
00:38:32Tony, here, catch.
00:38:37Oh, Tony, it isn't loaded.
00:38:42He had us alone in here with an unloaded gun.
00:38:46It's time to start.
00:38:48The odds are not completely one-sided.
00:38:50Your youth and numbers against my skill and experience.
00:38:54You'll find the ammunition in the branches of the tree of death.
00:38:58When that gun is loaded, my life will also be subject to how the hunt goes.
00:39:17Here it is.
00:39:18I found it.
00:39:23Why, that rat.
00:39:26That lousy, stinking rat.
00:39:30And shell.
00:39:31He left only one shell.
00:39:32So that's the way his twisted mind works.
00:39:35What do you mean?
00:39:36Don't you see?
00:39:37He allows himself three shots, one for each of us.
00:39:40Can we get one shot at him?
00:39:43Well, there's nothing we can do about it.
00:39:45Come on, give me the gun and let's get moving.
00:39:47Oh, no, you don't, Buster.
00:39:49You just hand over that bullet.
00:39:50Don't be a fool, Tony.
00:39:51I'm a better shot than you are.
00:39:53Yeah?
00:39:56You ever shot a man?
00:39:59No.
00:40:00Well, I have.
00:40:02And I ain't taking any chances on no amateur.
00:40:11Well, which way should we go?
00:40:14I don't know which way you two guys are going, but I'm going alone.
00:40:19So long, suckers.
00:40:20Hey.
00:40:23Hey, come back here.
00:40:25Oh, no, let him go.
00:40:27It's better if we do split up.
00:40:28It doubles our chances.
00:40:29Oh.
00:40:29Well, Baleau can't hunt in two directions at once.
00:40:31Now, look, the way I figured, we must be right about in the middle of the island.
00:40:35We'll head that way.
00:40:36Try to get to the beach.
00:40:37And then work our way back to the house.
00:40:39Back to the house?
00:40:40Are you nuts?
00:40:42Well, let's try to find the boat.
00:40:44We've got to try and get the girls out first.
00:40:46Oh, but Baleau said he wouldn't touch...
00:40:47No, mind what he said.
00:40:48I know what he meant.
00:40:49I don't like the way those goons of his kept looking at the girls.
00:40:52Come on, let's get started.
00:40:53I just don't see how you figured this.
00:40:55Never mind.
00:40:56We've got to do what we can.
00:40:58And that's the first thing.
00:41:03Well, here's hoping we find the second thing.
00:41:06Whatever that'll be.
00:41:12The guard's still out there.
00:41:13And wide awake.
00:41:15Oh, Betty, what are we going to do?
00:41:17Even if we do get out of this room, where are we going to go?
00:41:20I don't know.
00:41:22Maybe we could find the boys and try to get to the boat.
00:41:25We don't even know where it is.
00:41:27Oh, it's just no use.
00:41:41Oh, even this window's locked.
00:41:54Come here, Jeannie.
00:41:59Listen to me.
00:42:00I've got an idea.
00:42:02Don't ask any questions.
00:42:03Just do exactly as I say.
00:42:05All right.
00:42:06What do you want me to do?
00:42:07Here.
00:42:18Oh, I'm terribly sorry.
00:42:22I was moving it, and it just broke.
00:42:25I'm sure I can fix it if you could get me some glue.
00:42:30I didn't mean to break it.
00:42:32It was such a pretty vase.
00:42:35Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
00:42:45Jeannie, come on, hurry.
00:42:48Come on, I'll help you climb out.
00:42:49Out there?
00:42:51But we'll be killed!
00:42:52No, we won't.
00:42:53There's a ledge out there.
00:42:54We can work along that till we come to an open window.
00:42:56But what if there's something...
00:42:57Never mind, it's the only way.
00:42:59Come on, hurry up.
00:43:00Be careful, too.
00:43:03Roger.
00:43:23He's gonna have to go something to catch 20 bites out.
00:43:52He's gonna have to go something to catch 20 bites out of the water, and he's gonna have to go
00:43:56to the water, and he's gonna have to go to the water.
00:44:27Hurry, hurry!
00:44:33Hurry, hurry!
00:45:03Oh, my God.
00:45:33Oh, my God.
00:46:03Oh, my God.
00:46:20So, Tony, we come to the end of the trail.
00:46:29I'm disappointed in you, Tony.
00:46:31You've known me long enough to realize that I wouldn't give you a gun without first taking the precaution of
00:46:36removing the firing pin.
00:46:41Do you find that hard to believe?
00:46:44Well, you see, Tony, if I hadn't given you the gun, you would never have given me the pleasure of
00:46:49seeing your face at the moment of the kill.
00:46:51Oh, no, no, no, please.
00:46:54Please, don't do it, please.
00:46:57I'll never give your secret away.
00:46:59I promise.
00:47:00I'll get you more convicts.
00:47:03I'll never make a mistake again.
00:47:06Please.
00:47:06Please.
00:47:08All right, Tony.
00:47:10I'll reconsider.
00:47:14Oh, thank you.
00:47:17You won't be sorry.
00:47:18You won't be sorry.
00:47:20Enough of this.
00:47:21Yes, I have work to do.
00:47:22You get back to the house.
00:47:24Yes, sir.
00:47:25Yes, sir.
00:47:25I'll go right now.
00:47:29Tony.
00:47:34I have reconsidered.
00:47:50I'm sure I heard a scream.
00:47:53I can't tell.
00:47:55I think it might just have been a jungle bird.
00:47:57No, I'm sure it was.
00:47:58I'm sure it was Tony.
00:47:59That means we're next.
00:48:01Oh, come on, Johnny.
00:48:01Let's try and find that boat.
00:48:03It's our only chance.
00:48:04We're not going to do anything
00:48:05until we get the girls free.
00:48:07Come on.
00:48:08I think this is the way to the beach.
00:48:20Hurry.
00:48:20Back to the tree of death.
00:48:21We'll pick up the other trail there.
00:48:43Well, we made it this far.
00:48:45Yeah, but where is this far?
00:48:47I don't know, but it's closer to far away
00:48:49than back in that room.
00:48:51Come on.
00:48:52Come on.
00:49:11Come on.
00:49:12Oh, no.
00:49:14That's the door to that terrible workroom
00:49:16I told you about.
00:49:17Oh.
00:49:20Wait a minute.
00:49:21Maybe we can find a knife or something in there.
00:49:26Come on.
00:49:36Over here.
00:49:44We've got to get a couple of these
00:49:45that we can carry easily.
00:49:46Oh, it's no use, Betty.
00:49:47Even if we did, I couldn't use one anyway.
00:49:49Now, Gene, listen to me.
00:49:54Good evening, ladies.
00:49:58Keep away from us.
00:50:00Keep back.
00:50:01I'm warning you.
00:50:02I'll use this.
00:50:04Gene, run for the door.
00:50:05He can only get one of us.
00:50:06Mr. Ballou told me to take good care of you ladies.
00:50:09Don't come any closer.
00:50:12Can't you see I'm harmless?
00:50:14I'm not going to hurt you.
00:50:48I'm not going to hurt you.
00:51:12We're lost.
00:51:13What's the use?
00:51:16It's only a matter of time
00:51:17before Malo catches up with us.
00:51:19I don't think we are lost.
00:51:21The jungle's thinning out.
00:51:22We must be getting closer to the beach.
00:51:25So what?
00:51:28I don't mean to put you down, Johnny,
00:51:29but even if we do find the beach,
00:51:32then what are we going to...
00:51:32Hold it.
00:51:41Well, come on.
00:51:41We've got to make time.
00:51:44This way.
00:51:55Don't make a sound.
00:52:03He hasn't seen us yet.
00:52:15I can't get out.
00:52:20It's sinking.
00:52:23It's quicksand.
00:52:25Struggle.
00:52:26Keep quiet.
00:52:46Something scared him.
00:52:47We've got to get out of here, too.
00:52:52I can't make it, John.
00:52:56I just can't make it.
00:53:05Get him off of me!
00:53:07Get him off!
00:53:08Get him off.
00:53:09Get him off.
00:53:19Get him off.
00:53:39Lolo's not far behind us.
00:53:40I think that's what scared our little friend off.
00:53:43Come on, Pete, you think he can make it?
00:53:45I got a choice.
00:54:11Are you hurt?
00:54:12No, it's my dignity.
00:54:15Now what?
00:54:16Oh, we're out of that awful house.
00:54:18Now we'll have to try to find the boys.
00:54:21I just hope Lolo doesn't find them first.
00:54:30What's the matter with you, you clumsy ox?
00:54:33Twice tonight you've given our position away,
00:54:35and now you can't even find the trail.
00:54:46I'm grateful that your own stupidity
00:54:48will save me the trouble of getting rid of you.
00:54:55Too bad the leeches will do their work so well.
00:54:59You might have made an interesting specimen for my museum.
00:55:05Oh, I'm sorry, Sandor.
00:55:08I won't be able to stay to enjoy your last moments,
00:55:10but I am urgently required elsewhere.
00:55:22Okay?
00:55:23I guess so.
00:55:24We better keep moving, then.
00:55:25We'll never find the boys just sitting here.
00:55:27May I say it just once more, please?
00:55:29What?
00:55:30I'm scared.
00:55:32Well, if it makes you feel any better, so am I.
00:55:34But we've got to go on.
00:55:42Let's go this way.
00:55:49Let's go!
00:55:56That's Betty.
00:55:56And Genie!
00:55:57Come on!
00:55:59Help!
00:56:07Help!
00:56:08Help!
00:56:10Help!
00:56:35You all right?
00:56:38Come on, let's get out of here, fast.
00:57:00Come on, let's get out of here.
00:57:11You'll permit you to enjoy the hospitality of my island while I took care of more pressing business.
00:57:16But since...
00:57:23Let's get out of here.
00:57:30Let's get out of here.
00:57:30Let's get out of here.
00:57:46Let's get out of here.
00:58:17Let's get out of here.
00:58:22Let's get out of here.
00:58:38Let's get out of here.
00:58:40If Bellow doesn't get us the strain, we'll...
00:58:43We're gonna have to try a real grandstand play.
00:58:46Betty, did any of Bellow's boys follow you?
00:58:48From the sound they made, I'd say the whole bunch is out looking for us.
00:58:52That's good.
00:58:53At least they'll be out of the house.
00:58:55Pete, drop down and see if you can see any signs of them.
00:58:59Pete, be careful.
00:59:04Put me at them.
00:59:16It's okay.
00:59:17It's okay.
00:59:18Come on.
00:59:30We haven't got a chance without a gun.
00:59:31We've got to get back into the trophy room.
00:59:33We can't.
00:59:34We just got out of there.
00:59:35That's just why we can take a chance on going back there.
00:59:37Bellow's guards will still be out looking for you girls.
00:59:39Now, if we can shake Bellow and get back there before the guards do,
00:59:43we can get the guns and maybe have a chance to stay alive long enough to find the boat.
00:59:47Come on.
01:00:00There's one guy that's not out combing the bushes for us.
01:00:03Should we jump him, Johnny?
01:00:05No, I don't think so.
01:00:06I think our best chance is to try and sneak past him.
01:00:11He never in the pit of paradise.
01:00:13Time's easy.
01:00:13Let's go.
01:00:16Try and seuot KEY gain from things and turn him up.
01:00:17Go him.
01:00:18Go him!
01:00:32Go him!
01:00:34Go him!
01:00:34You win!
01:00:37He won!
01:00:38He wol you!
01:01:06Oh, it's locked.
01:01:07You surprised?
01:01:08Oh, very funny.
01:01:10Don't just stand there.
01:01:10Try and find something to open it with.
01:01:16Well, after we get it, what are we going to do?
01:01:18We're going to try and get out of here and find the boat.
01:01:20Oh, thank goodness.
01:01:21I don't want to stay in here any longer than we have to.
01:01:23Yeah, yeah.
01:01:24That ought to do the trick.
01:01:38Nick broke.
01:02:06There's no ammo here.
01:02:08Well, he's got to be.
01:02:10These guns are useless to us without it.
01:02:12I know, I know.
01:02:12Somebody's coming.
01:02:13Let's get out of here.
01:02:37Thank you so much.
01:04:44There's a certain closeness about this place.
01:04:47I've never corrected it.
01:04:50It helps preserve my trophies.
01:04:52But at times, it does make breathing difficult.
01:04:59I've sat here so long that I find I can sit for hours and not make a single sound.
01:05:07Not a single sound.
01:05:13A single sound.
01:05:18Stay just where you are.
01:05:19All right.
01:05:22That's far enough, Bellow.
01:05:24Don't come any closer.
01:05:26I think it was rather rude of you to force open my gun cabinet.
01:05:30But I'll overlook it, since you spared my ammunition chest.
01:05:35Oh, yes.
01:05:36I know your guns are quite useless.
01:05:39No, no.
01:05:41I wouldn't try that if I were you.
01:05:43It would only hasten your death and that of all your friends.
01:05:46Okay, Bellow.
01:05:49You win.
01:05:51I never doubted it.
01:05:53Did you?
01:05:54Well, why don't you get it over with?
01:05:56Oh, not so fast, my young friend.
01:05:59I have an idea that appeals to me.
01:06:01Let me group you in this setting, alive as you will be in death for all time.
01:06:07What do you mean?
01:06:09I'll show you, my dear.
01:06:11I've never had the pleasure of a trial arrangement of my trophies.
01:06:17You.
01:06:18Pete.
01:06:18Over there.
01:06:21Move.
01:06:24And you, my dear.
01:06:25I think you'd look most effective with your arms around Johnny's neck.
01:06:29Oh, wait a minute.
01:06:30You promised to let the girls live.
01:06:32That's right.
01:06:33I did promise.
01:06:34But since they obviously helped you kill the guard,
01:06:37I'm afraid I can no longer trust them.
01:06:39Guard?
01:06:41Well, we didn't kill any guard.
01:06:43What?
01:06:44Honest.
01:06:46The only guard we saw was at the gate, and we sneaked past him.
01:06:50Quiet.
01:06:51Don't make a sound.
01:06:52Any of you.
01:06:53Not a sound.
01:07:00You.
01:07:01Over to my chair.
01:07:03And throw the last switch.
01:07:05Move.
01:07:05Quickly.
01:07:05Quickly.
01:07:11Hurry.
01:07:11The last switch.
01:07:24Shandor.
01:07:26Stop.
01:07:29I warn you.
01:07:31I warn you.
01:07:52Don't have a doctor.
01:07:54Don't have a doctor.
01:07:56Come on.
01:07:58You won't have a doctor.

Reviewers say 'Bloodlust!' works best as nostalgic drive-in entertainment for viewers who don't take it seriously. They praise its fun popcorn appeal and curiosity value as a loose remake of "The Most Dangerous Game." However, most criticize its derivative nature as a shameless ripoff, cheap production design with cardboard sets, and clunky dialogue. The film proves divisive on engagement and pacing, with some finding it surprisingly entertaining while others consider it tediously boring.
