Paris, a rescue puppy found in a forest after never having a home, arrives terrified of everything and slowly begins to trust the Golden Retriever family around her. After two days traveling from Macedonia, she’s gently settled in, introduced to the pack one dog at a time, and given space to explore at her own pace. From shy first sniffs with Francis and Ruby to a cautious meeting with the mini horse Moki and the lovable golden retriever Kobe, every step is about patience, confidence, and no-pressure rescue care.
What starts as a heartbreaking case of fear becomes a tender dog rescue story full of small wins, appeasement looks, tail wags, and the first brave steps inside the house. The episode also shows crate training, decompression, and why calm introductions matter for nervous dogs. It’s a touching animal video for anyone who loves rescue journeys, dog introductions, puppy rehabilitation, and wholesome pack dynamics.
Created for viewers searching for rescue dog stories, golden retriever family videos, scared puppy recovery, dog socialisation, and gentle animal rescue content. Also a great watch for fans of puppy behavior, reactive dog introductions, calm training, and heartwarming pet videos with real-life progress and emotional payoff.

00:00She was found in a forest and she's never had a home. It honestly breaks your heart seeing a puppy
00:05like this. She should be running around causing chaos. Instead she's absolutely terrified. This
00:12is the very first time we met Paris and if you're anything like me seeing a dog this scared is
00:17really hard to watch. But don't lose hope just yet because we've got our entire pack waiting to meet
00:24her and I'm really hoping they can show her that people and other dogs aren't so scary after all.
00:31I don't want to get ahead of her story though because right now I'm honestly just wondering
00:35one thing. Can we help her? Well let's find out. Come and meet Paris.
01:05So Paris has just spent the last two days in the back of that van traveling all the way from
01:10Macedonia. We grab a quick photo to confirm she's arrived safely and now we get to see how she reacts
01:16to being somewhere completely new. You can see we're losing light. Oh look at her tail. Look
01:22at her tail. Oh good girl. There's a wagon inside. Should I take the lead off? I think just let
01:27it drag.
01:28Yeah. Just let it drag. She might need the toilet. Hello darling. Come on then. Oh look at her tail.
01:34Come on. Oh she's so unsure. We're trying to speak quietly so we don't wake and annoy all the other
01:41dogs. We actually ended up getting Paris at about half nine at night so all of our dogs are
01:46already tucked up in bed which means tonight isn't about big introductions it's just about
01:51letting her settle in. Oh she's scared but her little tail's absolutely adorable. Hey guys.
01:58Come on then. Come on then. It's okay. I'm wearing time. Oh my god she's absolutely adorable. She's
02:07like a miniature greyhound. Do you know what she looks like? She looks like a black lurcher. We are
02:11losing light a little bit as you can see. It's so late at night. So here's the plan.
02:16Because it's so late we've set up a little area in our bedroom for Paris to sleep tonight.
02:22Then tomorrow morning once she's had a good night's sleep she'll finally get to meet the
02:26rest of the pack. So ideally we'll want her to have a bit of a sniff around like she's
02:30doing now and then hopefully go to the toilet. What's good is obviously all around this garden
02:35and everything will absolutely stink of all the dogs inside so although they won't be meeting
02:40her tonight at least she can get all of their smells. Her little white bits are gorgeous.
02:44Her little white specks. I know. You can see she's like hyper aware of everything right
02:48now like sniffing the air to try and figure out where she is. Taking like really slow steps
02:55and then pausing just to make sure it's safe. Staying low to the ground as well. Really slow
03:02movements. What? Yeah you're talking like you're narrating her like David Atman. I was
03:08literally about to say that. In the wild. Paris does start exploring a little which is a really
03:14good sign. Every now and then she'll come over for a little sniff but she's still keeping her
03:19distance. But she doesn't go to the toilet and we're starting to lose light so I think it's time
03:25to take her upstairs. I'm being bitten sorry. Okay I'm gonna very slowly pick you up. She weighs nothing. This
03:35is just like me then.
03:39Okay we're gonna go around the side of the house. We're gonna be very silent. We're trying to be as
03:44quiet as we can because the last thing we want
03:47is all the other dogs waking up and getting excited. We're gonna put her in her little spot.
03:54I'm embarrassed. She's wagging her down. Oh bless her. We want her to be comfy so we can put this
03:59harness back on her tomorrow.
04:01I'm just gonna take this off. It's okay. She's got some water there. If she wants any. You go get
04:08some water.
04:09So she's now all settled for the night but then Ella. She's having a wee. And this is exactly why
04:16we spent
04:16so long waiting outside for her to go to the toilet. So I take her back outside one more time.
04:22Still nothing.
04:23We come back in. She settles down for the night but I'm really curious to see how she's going to
04:28be
04:29in the morning. We have just woken up. It's the next morning. She's had a poo literally just now.
04:36She's had a wee. It absolutely stinks in here. So a great start. We cleaned up her little area and
04:42then we
04:43let our pack out into the garden so they can do their business.
04:51And it's finally time for Paris to meet her first dog but we have a problem. This adorable little
04:57fluffball Francis is our other rescue and he can be reactive when meeting other dogs in the garden.
05:07So we're going to take Francis out on a walk with Paris so the first meet is on neutral
05:12ground. After this though, Paris can meet all the other dogs in the garden. I don't think she's
05:17going to walk a lot. In fact, I don't think she's going to walk at all. But let's see. Right.
05:23We are in
05:23the shade. Put her down. Francis has just realised there's another dog. Come on, Francis. Oh, he wants
05:33to sniff her. Good boy. So this is the first time we've seen her meet another dog. She's super
05:40submissive. Oh, she's shaking. He's being so polite. Oh, she's shaking. Bless her. Well, there's loads of
05:45people there. People always ask us why we don't introduce our dogs on neutral ground and this is
05:50exactly why. For a dog that's this scared and low on confidence, it's just too much too soon. Normally,
05:57we'd always let them settle in first. But with Francis, our hands were kind of forced. There are
06:02some people behind her working. So that's why she's a bit scared. Oh, Francis, you are a sweet boy.
06:11She's so submissive, isn't she? Yeah. He looks completely fine with her,
06:15which is obviously really good. We've done some dog meets before and he's
06:18been a bit barky and everything. All right. Do you want to pick Paris up? Yeah.
06:23And then we'll go back into the garden and she can meet the rest of the pack.
06:26Since Paris has obviously already been into the garden, we can start getting dogs out straight
06:30away. We're going to get our other rescue dog that we have, Ruby, because she seems very excited to
06:36meet her. She's around three or four. But what's interesting, you can already see how much confidence
06:41she's being with another dog. So let's go and get Ruby. Yeah. Ruby, Ruby, Kobe out. Come on, Ruby.
06:49Go on, Ruby, out. Good girl. All right. Hi, Ruby. First dog. So she's never met
06:58another dog before. Oh my God, that is adorable. Just so you know, when you went inside, she got FOMO.
07:05Who? Paris? Yeah, she ran up the gate. Oh, she loves dogs, doesn't she? Yeah. Good girl, Ruby.
07:12Oh, she's going all submissive. Oh, that's my stomach.
07:17Oh, good girl, Ruby. Good girl. So Ruby, we've only had for less than a week, so she's still,
07:24good girl, Paris, figuring her way in the pack. Look how much confidence she gets being with another dog.
07:29Oh my God. Oh, hello. She missed you. Good girl. Did you miss him? She's a proper human dog,
07:39isn't she? Well, she's one of those human dog dogs. Yeah. Oh, that is adorable. You can see,
07:45wagging tail, Ruby showing no aggression. Paris is trying to kiss her. So lots of positive... Oh,
07:53hello. Oh my God, you've got to break our fence. Okay, I'm going to... She's literally tiny.
07:56I'm going to let Ruby go through. That's not been there. Okay. Go on then, Ruby. Ruby.
08:02Can you just open the gate, JJ? Okay. She is through. Oh, Paris. Oh wow,
08:09that's really good. So Ruby's just completely ignored her. There we go. Oh, Ruby's also a bit unsure.
08:15The girls have missed... It helps because Ruby can be a bit bossy. Yeah, she can be a bit of
08:19a bully.
08:20Um, it helps that... Paris. I'm losing track of names. Paris is a bit bigger than her. Yeah. Oh, look,
08:27look, look, look, look. Oh. I think you're going to love Moki. Oh, okay, submissive. Oh, you think
08:34she's going to love Moki? Well, I think she's going to be scared of Moki. Well, I think she's terrified
08:37at
08:37first, yeah, as every dog is. What a difference when she meets dogs. Look at her. I mean,
08:43compared to even yesterday. Good girl. All right, that went really well. She's starting to become
08:50a bit braver, but what is she going to be like when she sees a dog five times the size?
08:57Ten times the size. Ten times the size because obviously these dogs are all smaller than her.
09:01So I'm going to go and get our mini horse, Moki, our mini horse Doberman. Do I look crazy with
09:09this
09:09thing on? Yeah, that's okay. Okay. Let me go and get Moki. Moki, you've been waiting very patiently.
09:16Come on then. Good girl. Kobe, hang on. You're next. I know, I promise. You're next. Good boy.
09:22Come on then. Here comes my girl. Good morning. Oh, wow. She didn't back off. I'll be honest,
09:31rescuing these dogs isn't cheap and it isn't easy, but it's because of you guys that we get to keep
09:36doing it. And there are more dogs out there just like Paris waiting on us. So if you can help
09:41out,
09:41a link to our GoFundMe is down below or you can scan the QR code on screen. Thank you so
09:47much.
09:47Oh, my God. Oh, Paddy. She's like, oh, another dog? Yes. Yay. Hi, darling. Good morning.
09:55Oh, my God. We're going to have to put Ruby inside. Yeah, I know.
10:00I'm not sure if Kobe wants, oh, not Kobe. No, he doesn't. Oh, my God. I'm not sure.
10:03Ruby, Ruby, Ruby. I'm not sure. Right, I'm going to go and put Ruby inside. Ruby's
10:10come back inside because she's getting too excited. Okay, so we're going to let Moki through. Now,
10:16Paris, I just wanted to be aware. There we go. That Moki is going to be coming through. Do
10:22that's right, I got it. Help. Yes. Go on, Moki. She's like, are you coming in or am I going?
10:32Come,
10:32Moki, come. Good girl. I don't know. Paris is more concerned about me than Moki. Yeah,
10:38honestly, she gets straight FOMO when you go for overload. Does she? Yeah. She's like,
10:42I want to go overload. She's so good with the other dogs. Did she live in a big pack? She
10:50must have.
10:52Oh, hello. Oh, she loves me, doesn't she? Hello, Francis. I think she loves people,
10:57defo. You can tell. Oh, look at Moki. Moki's not going to like the smell of her. She doesn't mind.
11:02She did just smell my hands. Oh. Moki's got this funny thing where sometimes these dogs arrive
11:06and they're a bit smelly, aren't they? They're a bit smelly and Moki doesn't like it. Her little white
11:12bits are absolutely adorable. I know. She's like a speckled egg. Oh. Moki, look, there's a dog that isn't scared
11:20of you.
11:20Why? The dog isn't scared of you, Moki. Are you happy? Okay. So, we are going to go and get
11:28our last dog, our loveable but jealous golden retriever, Kobe. Okay. Last but not enough,
11:34Ruby. You've had your time. Kobe, come on. Get him on. Oh. Right. Ruby's run back out. I'll go and
11:42get
11:42Ruby. It's all right. Just leave her for a minute. Okay. We just leave her on that side.
11:48Good boy. Patient, Kobe. Right. Kobe can come pretty much straight through
11:53because let's be honest, it's Kobe. Kobe, come on. Kobe. Kobe. Oh, Moki's going to get excited.
11:57Kobe, go on. Moki, Moki. No, leave Kobe alone. Leave him alone. Moki, out. No.
12:04Moki, out. She's the most scared with Kobe. How funny. Oh, yeah. Look, she's like, oh my God.
12:11Squished up against the fence. Yeah. Moki, out. Go on. Out. Yeah. Give her a bit of space.
12:17Oh. Oh, good boy. Yeah. She's the most scared of Kobe. How strange is that? Do you reckon she
12:24can tell he's a boy? We are now going to open this back up. We're going to keep an arm,
12:28Ruby,
12:28because she's obviously getting a little bit too overwhelmed, but that went really well. Funnily enough,
12:36the scared dogs are usually the easier. The better ones. Yeah. Well, not better, but as in
12:41because they're scared. Oh, she's a bit. No, Moki, out. She's chasing her. Yeah. Out.
12:49Meeting's done, but getting her into the house turned out to be a lot harder than expected,
12:53but we did have a plan. Okay. Ella is going to open up the conservatory
13:00and the doors so that when we let her into the house for the first time, she's basically got a
13:05space
13:06that she's able to run out of because scared dogs like her, oh, bless her. She's doing appeasement
13:11licks and everything, and no dog is just paying her any attention. Scared dogs like her, it's a lot
13:16better when they've got space they can sort of like run into. You know, we don't want her to
13:21to go inside where it's obviously a much smaller space and she feels confined or anything. All right.
13:27Conservatory. Oh, leave it there. Conservatory needs some work. And then I'm going to go in,
13:34know that she has opened this door so she can come into here. Every dog always gets so confused
13:39about stepping over this thing. I think because it was glass, they don't understand that it's not
13:44anymore. So I'm going to come into here and see if she'll follow because I'd like her to come into
13:49the house so she can see the inside. Come on, Paris. She's scared, bless her. Come on. Kobe, come.
13:58Kobe, come out. I think she's scared. That's why. Yeah, there we go. It's because Kobe was blocking it.
14:04Okay, in her own time, she can come on in. See, this is why we like to keep this open
14:11because
14:11you see how she just ran away there. She's got the space to do it. I'm going to see if
14:15she wants
14:16any support. Come on, then. Come on, Paris. Look, your friend's here. Francis is here, see. Oh,
14:24that's brave. Paris. Hi. That's brave. Oh, bless her. She's a bit unsure. You can tell Moki really
14:34wants to be best friends with her. The little appeasement licks she does is absolutely adorable.
14:39My bless her. So Paris does kind of shut down and stays outside. And sadly, this isn't the first
14:45time we've seen a dog this scared. In fact, we've now rescued over 50 dogs and some of our favourite
14:51rescue stories are now available to watch on Tubi. It's completely free. There's no subscription
14:56needed. So if you want to check them out, just scan the QR code on screen or click the link
15:01in
15:02the description below. Oh, well done, Kobe. Good boy. So I've just come inside. These have come in.
15:09She's still there. Oh, bless her. I wonder if she would eventually wonder and I'm sure she will.
15:15We obviously want to make this completely no pressure for Paris. So we just left the back door open
15:20and let her make the decision herself. Just look at that little face peeking in. And then,
15:26after taking her time, she finally finds the courage to wander inside.
15:31She's being a bit braver. She's made it halfway in. Oh, and there she is.
15:36She's in. I can't believe I actually managed to catch that on camera.
15:40She's going to go straight back out. Oh, she's like, hello, I'm being brave.
15:45Hello, Paris. Oh, shouldn't have paid her any attention.
15:50Well, that was the first time she came into the house. She's in and out,
15:53but you can see she's really trying to be brave, bless her.
15:56She did end up wandering in again when preparing her dinner. And honestly,
16:00we're going to go straight into crate training. Our room is like the only place we get any downtime.
16:05So we really want her to get used to a crate as soon as possible.
16:08So I put her straight into the crate, positive things with the food. I love how she was about
16:13to come out and then straight away, she's like, oh, food. I think she's really hungry.
16:17Okay. She absolutely housed her food down. She's got a little food touch.
16:24We did then give her a chew to try and help her decompress,
16:27but she had FOMO and wanted to come out the crate. So we let her out and she finally ventured
16:32into the house for the first time. She's fully in now. We're just waiting on Kobe and Moki to
16:38finish their food outside so that we can let her out. Cause we think she's going to need the toilet,
16:43but this is the first time she's brave enough to come in, which is really good.
16:46She was doing so well, even starting to explore. We were keeping a close eye on her though.
16:52We know that I'm about to pee sniff all too well. So we gently guided her back outside.
16:57And now it was finally time to officially welcome her into the pack.
17:02Okay. And last thing to welcome you into the Golden Kobe family.
17:07We have got you a collar, which is I think like basically four lurches.
17:13She could maybe do with a pink one, but this will do for now.
17:16She's already starting to look a little braver, but we know we've still got a long way to go with
17:21Paris.
17:22So if you want to see how far she comes, make sure you hit that subscribe button because we'll be
17:26continuing her journey in the next video. Thank you so much for watching.
17:30And if you enjoyed this one, YouTube thinks this video on screen is perfect for you to watch next.
17:36See you there.
