00:00I'm Ari Bergeron. Attorneys for the family of Renee Good have filed two civil lawsuits against the federal government
00:05and several current and former Trump administration officials over the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent during Operation
00:12Metro Surge.
00:13Good was shot and killed by Agent Jonathan Ross January 7th in Minneapolis.
00:18The family's attorney says she was attempting to drive away after honking her horn to alert neighbors of the presence
00:23of ICE officers.
00:25Good's wife, Becca Good, spoke at today's press conference about the wonderful mother Renee Good was
00:30and how acutely she and the couple's six-year-old son are feeling her loss.
00:34I went to back-to-school night on my own. She never missed a single moment.
00:41And this Halloween is our son's absolute favorite holiday. I'll take him trick-or-treating without her hand in mine.
00:49The family's attorneys outlined numerous instances where they claim Laura Ross and other agents violated federal use of force policies.
00:58Neither Renee nor Becca were the worst of the worst. They were exactly as their name says. They were good
01:06folks.
01:07No one was armed. No one was a domestic terrorist. They had their pet dog in the back seat.
01:17And indeed, Renee's last words that she spoke before she was shot were,
01:24I'm not mad at you. I am not mad at any of you.
01:29Clearly defining what her state of mind was.
01:33They also claim Ross has never been investigated for his actions.
