00:12letter Tuesday, with both parties expected to seek formal dismissal of the case with
00:16prejudice in the coming weeks. Trump sued Mary Trump in 2021, alleging she collaborated with
00:22the Times to obtain and publicize his tax records, violating confidentiality terms in a 2001 family
00:28estate settlement. A judge dismissed Trump's claims against the Times in 2023 and ordered
00:34him to pay nearly $393,000 in legal fees. Mary Trump, a clinical psychologist and daughter
00:40of Trump's late elder brother Fred Trump Jr., is one of the few Trump family members to
00:45publicly oppose the president's policies. Following Trump's 2024 re-election, she described
00:51his second term as a regime more dangerous than his first.
