00:028.03 Wednesday morning. It's fall outside. Chill in the air. Playoff baseball is happening.
00:11I'm sure Sal's in a good mood this morning. 9-0, right, Sal, was the final? Yankees over Red Sox?
00:17Yeah, yeah. I mean, I figured they'd have to win a low-scoring game because their offense is so hot
00:25and cold.
00:25Feast or Famine, but it was Feast last night, and it was after a while, though.
00:29It was a 1-0 game into, what, the 6th or 7th when the Red Sox took out totally their
00:35starting pitcher.
00:36But, Joe, I mean, Cam Schlittler is a star. He is a star.
00:41Yeah, he... Did he go 7 innings last night?
00:44He threw 117 pitches?
00:47Yeah, right.
00:50Does Yankees-Red Sox hit the same, by the way, when it's in a wild-card series versus, like...
00:55You know, the ALCS or some of their meetings in the past?
00:59I mean, I think if you're a fan of either team, it doesn't matter when it is.
01:05It just... Yeah.
01:05But, sure, there is a difference, right?
01:08No doubt.
01:09Because it's for the right to get to the ALCS.
01:12It's not even the ALCS yet.
01:13Or the ALDS, in this case.
01:15The ALDS, right.
01:15The ALDS. It's a wild-card, right?
01:17It's not even an ALCS where, you know, they've had those battles.
01:20And I think the other part of it is, Joe, like, that both teams...
01:23Like, the Red Sox have definitely won more than the Yankees recently, right?
01:25They've won World Series now.
01:26For many years growing up, it was the Yankees just basically saying,
01:30Oh, yeah, you're not getting past us.
01:31We're the Yanks, and you're the Red Sox.
01:32Well, that's kind of been reversed, to be honest with you.
01:35And the Red Sox have several World Series.
01:37The Yankees only have won, you know, in the 2000s.
01:40I think, right?
01:412009 was their last, I should say.
01:42So, if you want to go back to that, I guess...
01:442000, yeah.
01:45You know what I mean?
01:46In case people want to, you know, quibble here.
01:47You get my point.
01:50So, yeah, but it's still a big rival.
01:52Like, to me, going into the game, I told people, like, I hate it.
01:57I hate the fact that the Yankees had to play the Red Sox because the Red Sox weren't supposed to
02:00be here.
02:01And you have nothing to gain by beating them.
02:05Other than, oh, we beat the Red Sox.
02:07Maybe Red Sox fans feel the same.
02:10But for them, it's like, oh, dude, we're the team.
02:12Like, we're not supposed to win this.
02:14Let's go.
02:14You know how that can be.
02:15Right.
02:16Yeah, and neither team won the division, right?
02:19Like, because of the new form.
02:20It's not even new.
02:21This format's been around for a minute now, but...
02:23Yana just asked me that this morning.
02:24She's like, does the team get a bye?
02:27She's not familiar with the playoff format.
02:28And I said, yeah.
02:29I said, the Rays do.
02:30I said, the Yankees have to play this wild card.
02:33But yet, they had the second best record in the league.
02:36Yeah.
02:36And they don't get a bye.
02:38Yeah.
02:39Yeah, that's incredible.
02:41I've been flirting with, by the way, like, going to a playoff game.
02:45And I think it's just chasing the high of going to Game 1 of the World Series last year in
02:49Toronto.
02:51And Cleveland being in it.
02:52I thought about, like, I've not been to Yankee Stadium or Fenway.
02:55Although there are no games in Fenway, right?
02:56It's just Yankee Stadium.
02:57Right.
02:57That's correct.
02:59But then, I don't want to feel obligated to root for the Yankees.
03:02And I feel like if I go to a Yankees game, I'm going to feel that obligation.
03:06You could go and just enjoy yourself.
03:08As long as you don't root for the other team, right?
03:10Just wear neutral colors.
03:12Well, you could wear white, right?
03:13Like, oh, I think it's a Yankees fan.
03:15Sure.
03:15I don't know.
03:15But just don't wear red.
03:16Yeah, that's right.
03:17Yeah, I wouldn't want to wear red.
03:18Not in that sea.
03:20Well, let's get to the Bills, Sal.
03:22New England.
03:22I mean, big rivalry, right?
03:23And, you know, some Bills fans might feel the same way as they do in that rivalry there.
03:28So, let's start, though.
03:29Oh, believe me.
03:29I have the – I'm ready for the tweet.
03:31If the Yankees take care of business, then the Bills do.
03:33Yeah.
03:34I mean, that tweet's going out on Sunday night.
03:35Two New England-area teams came to New York and lost.
03:39Yeah, it's not going great for New England right now.
03:42But I've got to wait on that.
03:43I've got to wait on that.
03:44Yeah.
03:44I mean, we played the clip earlier, Mike Vrabel in WEEI, and he's getting a little snippy.
03:50Oh, is he?
03:50I didn't hear what he said.
03:51I mean, really just kind of flat out talking about Drake May.
03:54Like, hey, he made the wrong call.
03:55But I want to make a touchdown pass.
03:57Like, he – it sounds like it's getting a little tense there.
04:01I don't know how much of the first three games you've seen from them.
04:04Obviously, the Jaguars game last week was happening at the same time as Bills Chargers.
04:08But, man, 35-6 in the offense.
04:12Pass EPA, their second last in football, only ahead of Atlanta.
04:17They look totally different as an offense to what they did last year, especially leading up to the playoffs.
04:24Yeah.
04:24And, you know, their offseason was very much revolved around bringing in A.J. Brown.
04:28It was such a saga to finally get them there.
04:30And then they finally did.
04:32And it was like they're going to – you know, this is going to be their big guy to really
04:36help their passing offense.
04:37They lose Stefan Diggs.
04:39And, you know, and Romeo Dobbs, too.
04:40But that hasn't gone very well.
04:42And then they lose A.J. Brown so quickly.
04:45And the thing that I said this offseason about their offense that I was wondering about was their offensive line.
04:51Like, how good is it?
04:53Like, Drake may have had some turnovers last year.
04:55He gets pressured a little bit.
04:56You know, he's known to be a little bit careless with the football, whether that's fumbling or throwing interceptions.
05:01They can run the ball.
05:02But a lot of times it's more because they're just a team that believes in running the ball.
05:06It's volume.
05:06They go and they have – and they can get a couple big hits.
05:08And we know that.
05:10But their offensive line has been banged up.
05:11They have another big injury on their offensive line.
05:13They've already now lost two right guards.
05:15They lost their starter.
05:17And then Greg Van Roten, who used to play with the Bills, went in last week to be the starter.
05:20Now he's on IR.
05:21They are going on their third right guard in four games coming into Buffalo this week.
05:26They have a center who's going to be kind of doing a little bit of both.
05:29So that's been a part of the issue.
05:32And I just think that the lack of weapons without A.J. Brown is starting to show up.
05:37I still think Drake May is a good quarterback.
05:39I do.
05:40I'm not going to sit here and go, oh, my God, he's terrible.
05:42I don't think he is.
05:43But I do think – my theory is this happens a lot with young quarterbacks.
05:48When guys start to have a bit of a jump and people start to notice, these defensive coordinators get paid
05:53a lot of money, Joe.
05:55You take a look at it and say, what can we do against him?
05:57How can we make sure that he's not getting off against us a little bit?
06:02And I just think that's starting to happen.
06:04And if you go back to last year, it wasn't just those games.
06:08There were times last year where he just had stretches where he was, like I said, careless with the football,
06:12things that happened.
06:13And that's starting to show up a lot more right now.
06:15Yeah, I thought about C.J. Stroud a lot this morning for that.
06:19Like he was so hot out of the gates as a rookie.
06:22I know May did that more in year two.
06:23And then it just hasn't looked the same since then.
06:26And I wonder if that's going to end up being May where, oh, we had this MVP level year and
06:33it just never got back to that.
06:35Or if the problems around him are real enough that, no, if they get that corrected at some point, then
06:42it'll fix itself.
06:43We've talked a lot about the receivers, but you're right to point up, like they'll bring up the line.
06:47They've allowed the sixth most pressure in football so far this year.
06:50Like their line for the amount they invested in it.
06:52Like last week, watching a lot of that Chargers-Patriots game back, May is having to scramble out of the
06:58pocket so often because, you know, they're just getting beat.
07:02And that seems like a positive given how this Bill's defensive line has looked so far.
07:07You know, someone pointed out to me, and I went back and looked, and I have it in front of
07:09me now.
07:10I can tell you what it is.
07:11That he kind of, this kind of happened to him in college where his second year in college was his
07:17first year starting.
07:18And he was amazing.
07:20And he led the conference in completion percentage, yards, 38 touchdowns, only seven interceptions.
07:27The following year, his third year, he had a dip in everything.
07:31He only went to 63% completion.
07:34And although he had good numbers, he went from 38-7, Joe, TD to interception, to 24-9, TD to
07:41interception.
07:42Like, interesting, right?
07:43Like, the same kind of mirroring is happening in the NFL, and I just believe that a lot of that
07:47has to do with teams catching up a little bit, teams seeing what you do, getting stuff on film.
07:51Once you arrive, once you make yourself known, you know, you become a little bit more of a focus for
07:56defensive coordinators, for defensive players.
07:58I think that's happening a little bit.
08:00And you're right.
08:01Now, that said, this is still a team that's going to believe in running the football and getting after and
08:07stopping the run and stopping you on offense and playing the kind of game where, as I've said for months,
08:13they play a game closer to the margins.
08:15The Bills, last week, they overcame a lot of things that I don't think they can overcome this week if
08:22that happens against the Patriots.
08:23I know the Patriots' numbers might not even be as good as the Chargers in a lot of areas.
08:27I get that.
08:28I just, if you turn the ball over like that against this team, you're not going to win the game.
08:33And that's what happened last year.
08:35The Patriots were better, but the Bills had two key turnovers, and they wound up losing on a late field
08:38goal because of it.
08:39And that's what you can't have this week.
08:41Well, if a game like that, a sloppy game, were to present itself, you would need the defense to play
08:48almost perfect the way they kind of did last week, right?
08:51Like only giving up the one touchdown.
08:53And how much confidence should we have that they've been good at stopping the run so far in pretty much
08:59every game they've played.
09:00It's been the pass defense.
09:02And here's this New England pass attack that hasn't looked that great.
09:06How much could one game do for a pass defense, Sal, that we know has talent, it just really wasn't
09:14coming together in the first two games of the season?
09:16Well, I think a lot from a standpoint of what we talked about for a few weeks, which is time
09:21on task, Joe.
09:22They need the communication.
09:23They need to get reps together.
09:25They missed out a lot of reps in training camp at preseason because of injuries.
09:29And now you have another one to Christian Benford.
09:31But I really like what Jim Leonard said yesterday.
09:34I thought, you know, insightfully, he said when it comes when it came to Davis and Igbenosin, and I think
09:39you'd agree Davis and Igbenosin played a good game when he was on the field.
09:42Right.
09:42And he said, you don't want those guys to have to go in because only because you need them to
09:46play.
09:47You want them to go in when they've already had a chance to play and they understand what's happening.
09:51So let's remember the first two weeks, Igbenosin got some run, got some run.
09:56He got reps.
09:57He was rotating.
09:58He was getting in some series.
10:00And that's why, because, dude, something happens to Christian Benford.
10:03Now you've got to go play.
10:04Now you've got to be on the field.
10:06And you know what?
10:06You already have the time out there.
10:08It's not like we're just throwing you out there like, oh, my God, what's going to happen here?
10:10We haven't seen this guy play.
10:11So I think they feel a little more confident and comfortable in doing that.
10:15And let's be honest, Christian Benford wasn't off to a great start.
10:18So, you know, it wasn't like you're taking somebody out who was playing at an all pro level necessarily.
10:22You hope he's okay.
10:23Obviously, we'll find out that today a little bit more practice.
10:27But, yeah, I think more than anything, you say, what can one game do?
10:31I just think it's the culmination of another game.
10:33It's another game, another day of time on task.
10:37This week's going to be another one of those.
10:38And then next week's going to be another one of those.
10:41Yeah, so Federi Mathis was released yesterday officially on the NFL Transactions Wire.
10:45So he is now a free agent.
10:49However, I will tell you the expectation is he will sign with the Bills practice squad today and be at
10:57practice today.
10:59So, unless some team comes over the top with some outrageous contract for Federi Mathis, he should be on the
11:05Bills.
11:05Which could happen.
11:06He does not have to go through waivers.
11:08This is not a claim situation.
11:09This is not he's got to pass through waivers and the Bills can get him back.
11:12No, no, no.
11:12He became a free agent as soon as the Bills released him.
11:14He could sign with any team right now.
11:16But, again, unless a team goes, hey dude, we're going to give you $5 million a year, whatever it is,
11:23Federi Mathis should be on the practice squad.
11:25And they had an open roster spot in the practice squad, by the way, because of the Greg Dortch signing
11:30late last week.
11:32So, this is really, honestly, Joe, all this is for the Bills is moving Federi Mathis from a suspended list
11:39to the practice squad.
11:40That's really, at the end of the day, what's going to happen here.
11:41Do you feel like that suspension really opened the door for Dwayne Carter?
11:47I feel like Mathis, we were talking about, he was going to make the roster before the news of the
11:51suspension came out.
11:53I don't know if he was going to make it, but I do think that it was possible.
11:57I always felt, though, you have to remember, and it matters, if it came down to the two, I felt
12:03like maybe Dwayne Carter would still get the nod because he would have to go through waivers and Federi Mathis
12:06wouldn't.
12:07So, you would lose him for nothing.
12:08Whereas, you can go to Federi Mathis and go, hey, dude, just, we're going to sign you back, right?
12:12You can't do that with a guy like Dwayne Carter.
12:13He would be subject to waivers.
12:15So, it's close.
12:16I don't know.
12:17Like, I don't know exactly how it would have played out.
12:19But, yeah, I do think because of the numbers that were there, it could have been a discussion.
12:25But now we know Dwayne Carter has played pretty well here.
12:28He's been a very, very important part of the rotation.
12:33TJ Sanders had the appendectomy.
12:36Good news, they didn't put him on IR last week, meaning that they think he'll be back sooner rather than
12:42later.
12:42But now you also have a little more insurance on the practice squad, assuming Federi Mathis does resign today.
12:50Right.
12:51Sal Capaccio with us.
12:53Sal, Joe Brady and the other coaches, of course, speaking yesterday, Brady on Monday.
12:59What has the attitude kind of been, do you think, from the offensive side of things coming out of that
13:04Charger game?
13:05They still were looking for big plays.
13:08You know, Allen still had a pretty high average depth of target.
13:11They were throwing the ball until those last two drives, their running went up a little bit and you had
13:18a couple of those big James Cook runs.
13:20Do they sound like they're going to go right back to that and, like, they're not shying away from hunting
13:27big plays, which everybody loved to see in the first couple just because it didn't go as well against the
13:31Chargers?
13:32Oh, yeah.
13:33And it's funny you actually bring that up.
13:34I was just looking at all these numbers.
13:38So, here are the average pass lengths, you know, depth of target in the league.
13:43So, these are all passes.
13:45Josh Allen leads the league after three weeks, 10.28.
13:49Only two other quarterbacks are over 10.
13:52Lamar Jackson and Malik Willis.
13:55But what's, to me, even more interesting is if you take just the completions, you throw out all the incompletions,
14:03just take all the balls that quarterbacks completed, Josh Allen still leads the league in average depth,
14:11which tells you not only is he going deep, he's completing passes going deep.
14:16They're not going to go away from that.
14:18I mean, it's working, Joe.
14:19That's the bottom line.
14:20It didn't work last week because of a couple of things that happened.
14:22You know, Josh had a bad read on the first interception.
14:25I think on the second one, he can say that he didn't think he had a free play.
14:28He's taking accountability.
14:29I think that after listening to Joe Brady, they thought they had a free play.
14:32He threw it up.
14:33It didn't work out.
14:34I mean, other than that, though, yeah, he's thrown the ball deep, and they're coming up with completions.
14:39And I don't see why they would want to go away from that.
14:41And here's the other part about it.
14:43The more they keep doing that, the more defenses have to respect it because they are successful at it.
14:48And then here comes James Cook, who, oh, by the way, gets 154 yards, and no one really, really,
14:53I didn't think they get 154 yards until after the game.
14:55I looked down at the box score.
14:56Right.
14:57Me too.
14:57Yeah, a lot of that coming in those last two drives.
15:00But he got there and did in time.
15:03It was important, those runs he had at the end.
15:06We've had a couple calls this week about Khalil Shakir.
15:08Like, off a game where he only had one catch.
15:11And I don't know.
15:12My attitude has been, if you're going to be an offense that's going down the field more,
15:17his role is going to be diminished.
15:19And it's not like it's nothing.
15:21I mean, it's 30 yards per game.
15:23Maybe you'd like to see that number a little higher.
15:26But I think this was expected, if they were going to start playing offense this way,
15:32that Shakir would become more of a role player in the offense than kind of the guy that the
15:37passing offense was kind of revolving around.
15:39Yeah, I agree with that.
15:41And I think isn't what everybody wanted, that, you know, you want to go away from what they
15:45were doing with these tunnel screens and getting him the ball and the volume.
15:48And, you know, he catches a bunch of balls, but his average, you know, length of reception
15:53is two yards, right?
15:54I mean, it's like, I don't even know if it was that.
15:56It might have been less than that, honestly.
15:57Right, exactly.
15:58Like, near last in the league.
16:00So, yeah, I think, like, I'm not concerned.
16:04I think Khalil Shakir is, what's the concern of people?
16:07Like, what is the, I guess, right, right.
16:09Like, what's the thought from people when they're, like, if they're concerned about
16:12it, like, what is the concern?
16:13Is it they're not using him properly or he's not playing well enough?
16:16You know what I mean?
16:17Right.
16:17And maybe sometimes it's someone likes the player and he's not getting the ball.
16:22And, like, why isn't this guy getting the ball more often?
16:24Like, I know he's a good player.
16:26He's, and also he has a contract, but, you know, his contract isn't that big, right?
16:30Like, 13 million a year for a receiver.
16:33This is, 30 yards a game is probably about right, I think, for a guy that makes that much.
16:37Um, yeah, um, last year, 2.6 yards average length of reception.
16:442.6.
16:45Was 83rd in the league, okay, amongst all qualifying leaders.
16:49This year, Khalil Shakir, his average length of reception is over five.
16:55Which is such a, which is a really, which is actually a massive difference when you're
16:58talking about these kinds of, these kinds of things.
17:01He is at 5.78, which is 58th in the league.
17:04Yeah.
17:05Speaking of usage, when Joe Brady brought up Ray Davis the other day, was that?
17:10Unprompted.
17:10That was unprompted?
17:11Yeah.
17:12Okay.
17:12He just, he just said, yeah, I know.
17:14It was interesting how he said it too, Joe.
17:16He said, yeah, you know, I really got to get Ray a little bit more involved in the offense
17:20too.
17:20He's earned, you know, opportunities.
17:21He said, and then he kind of said, I know that question's probably going to come up.
17:24Like, he was prepped.
17:25He was ready to answer our question, which never came.
17:28So he just basically put it out there.
17:30Yeah.
17:30Well, and more involved, I mean, that could be anything, right?
17:32Because it's one carry through three games.
17:35Like, it's not like he was a focal point.
17:37He might have said touches.
17:38I have to go back and listen to the exact quote.
17:39But either way, like, he's not really a part of the offense right now.
17:43Like, and he before was a guy that would get a couple touches a game.
17:47He was getting some snaps.
17:49And this year, yeah, like, it's the James Cook show so far.
17:53Like, 20 snaps and only one touch so far.
17:55I mean, how do you take the ball out of James Cook's hands too, right?
17:58I mean, like, that's part of the thought process here from Joe Brady.
18:02Like, I have James Cook.
18:04Like, well, I'm not going to not give him the ball.
18:05And he even gave him the ball right away while he put him on the field.
18:09I think maybe the next play or two after the fumble on the first series.
18:12Like, that's your guy.
18:14And it's hard to not give him the ball.
18:17And then when you get the third down, you want Ty Johnson on the field.
18:20Right.
18:21Yeah, I'd want to look at, like, other teams in the league that have, like,
18:24some of the best running backs in football.
18:25Like, how many carries do the other guys get?
18:27Like, Derrick Henry in the Ravens so far.
18:32Like, yeah, I'm looking right now.
18:33Like, the guys that are behind him, they don't get the ball.
18:36You know, sometimes they will in third downs.
18:38Let's get to the Barnes from injury report, Sal.
18:40The injury report will come out a little bit later today.
18:42If you've been injured in a car crash, call the Barnes from 1-800-8-Million.
18:46Who will we be looking out for today?
18:48Josh Allen?
18:49I mean, I don't think anyone thinks he will play.
18:51Yeah, that's one.
18:53Correct.
18:53I did ask Joe Brady to start the press conference on Monday about Josh because apparently he,
19:00you know, he got banged up and people saw that.
19:02And he said, Josh is always sore after games.
19:05I'm never usually concerned about him.
19:07That was his answer.
19:07We'll see if he's on the injury report in any capacity today.
19:10But I wouldn't think there's anything that would, you know, be in question at all that
19:14Josh Allen would play on Sunday.
19:17But I am curious about him going through the week.
19:19And, you know, if he is sore, if he is on the injury report at all, what that means for
19:24how they, you know, run the offense and things that he can or can't do.
19:28But anyway, that's one.
19:30I think the really main one is Christian Benford because he did leave the game.
19:33And he was in a walking boot and he was ruled out with a toe injury.
19:37So, you know, we'll see where that goes today with him.
19:41And then, you know, you have DJ Moore and Keon Coleman, who both did play last week.
19:44They have TJ Sanders, who didn't, with the appendectomy.
19:47So there's a lot going on today.
19:48I think that, you know, we'll find out.
19:50We'll hear from Joe Brady early afternoon, 1 o'clock hour.
19:53And then the team will be on the practice field during the 2 o'clock hour.
19:56If Benford is, again, we'll find out later today.
20:00We'll see how severe it is or whether he's on the field.
20:02But if Benford's availability is in question, obviously it's Harrison and Nygminosin starting.
20:07Who's next?
20:09It's a good question.
20:10I would think that they would at least have D. Alford ready to go on the boundary if they
20:16need it.
20:16And then you can have, you can elevate to Corey Couch again.
20:21To Corey Couch can play all these spots.
20:23This is a versatile player they have.
20:24He did get elevated last week to mainly, you know, be insurance and play special teams.
20:29You don't have Jordan Hancock.
20:30He's on IR.
20:31Jalen Kilgore is there.
20:32And this is all, again, me saying if you put D. Alford on the boundary, you could do that.
20:36But, yeah, that's, you know what?
20:38And then how about the kid that we all love during training camp?
20:42Can I walk her?
20:43He could be elevated.
20:45He's on the practice squad.
20:46Right.
20:46So it would be, but that's it for the active roster, right?
20:49They don't have another.
20:50They would have to be a practice.
20:51They'd have to do that.
20:52They'd have to do that.
20:53So you have options on the practice squad.
20:54Yeah, but it'd have to be like that.
20:56And then the one other guy would be T.J. Sanders.
20:58But do we think that's that quick a turnaround?
21:00Appendectomy?
21:01I'm not sure I remember.
21:02This is definitely something I am not familiar with as far as his timeline.
21:05And I think everybody would probably be different in something like that, Joe.
21:08I'm not sure.
21:08Again, though, like I said, the good news is they didn't put him on IR last week.
21:12Right.
21:13Right.
21:13So you would think that they're at least comfortable enough thinking that he'll be back at some point.
21:20It'll be 4-4 games.
21:21If you don't, that's fine.
21:22Do we know anything about what New England's dealing with going into today?
21:27They just had the Van Roten injury.
21:30Right.
21:31So their offensive line is a little bit banged up.
21:32I think Carlton Davis was, but I think he played last week.
21:35So no, we'll get a little bit more on that, a little more clarity on them as well.
21:39Speaking of New England, I have a trivia question for you.
21:41Ready?
21:41Okay.
21:42Okay.
21:43I was looking at Drake May's numbers.
21:45Uh-huh.
21:47Over his last seven games, including playoffs, he has 10 interceptions and nine fumbles.
21:57Now, not lost, just fumbles.
21:59Fumbles.
21:59I will say, you have to remember now, fumbles, their snap exchanges are always charged with the quarterback.
22:04It might not even be his fault, but that just happens.
22:06It's just the NFL, the way that they keep track of that.
22:08So 10 interceptions, nine fumbles.
22:10I said, boy, I wonder when the last time somebody had that in any seven-game stretch.
22:14I found it.
22:15And the answer is actually somebody who is currently playing in the league, but it's been seven years.
22:20Ooh.
22:21A quarterback that's in the league right now that had...
22:25And it's not going to surprise you when you hear the answer.
22:28It's not going to surprise me.
22:30Okay.
22:30Is it...
22:31Okay.
22:31The question is, so everybody understands, over any seven-game stretch, including playoffs,
22:38including spanning two different seasons, like Drake May, who was the last quarterback
22:43to have at least seven interceptions and at least nine fumbles as well?
22:48The not-going-to-surprise-you hint, I like my guess here, and I'm going to guess Jameis Winston.
22:53It is Jameis Winston.
22:55Yes.
22:55In 2019.
22:552019, that's right.
22:56Is that the...
22:57I've got to look at his stats.
22:58Is that the 30-touchdown, 30-pick year?
23:012019.
23:01Would that have been that?
23:02I'm looking right now.
23:03I think so, because Brady replaces him immediately after.
23:07I think so.
23:08Yeah, 2019.
23:09He started 16 games, 5,100 yards, 33 touchdowns, 30 interceptions.
23:17Man, how many fumbles did he have that year also?
23:2112 fumbles.
23:2330 picks and 12 fumbles.
23:25There will never be a year like that again.
23:26Isn't that amazing?
23:28Yeah.
23:28I mean, honestly, a quarterback won't be allowed to throw the ball that many times anymore,
23:33right?
23:33Like...
23:34Right.
23:35This guy, what he's doing there is...
23:39I know.
23:40And there was some other...
23:41No, it's funny, though.
23:42There were some nice names, like Kurt Warner's on the list.
23:44Like, Kurt Warner's in the Hall of Fame.
23:46Josh wasn't anywhere on that list, right?
23:48He...
23:49I did not see Josh on that list, no.
23:51But the last one to do it was 2019, and that was Kurt Warner...
23:54I'm sorry, that was Jameis Winston.
23:55So, I mean, we could sit here and go, oh my God, Drake May...
23:58And it is true.
23:59Like, it is...
23:59It's been seven years since someone did that.
24:02Right.
24:03But, you know, if you're a Patriots fan looking, going, yeah, well, you know, some really
24:06great quarterbacks who are on this list, which is true.
24:09But yeah, he has...
24:10In his last seven games...
24:12Yep.
24:12Spanning last season, playoffs, he has ten interceptions and nine fumbles.
24:18Yeah.
24:18It's not going well.
24:19It's not going well.
24:20No.
24:20We'll play that Vrabel clip again later, because...
24:22Okay.
24:23Even he was criticizing at least one decision a little bit in front of the media.
24:27Thank you, Sal.
24:28You got it.
24:29Sal Capaccio on the West Her Hotline.
24:32Bill's practicing today and went through the injury report a little bit there.
24:36Benford, the big one to watch for later on.
24:39When we come back, hot or cold?
24:41It's a Wednesday morning, and I'm very excited to see what Joe Calley's got cooked up for us.
24:48Any food, you know, up there as a take.
24:53Football.
24:53Hockey started.
24:55So, we'll see what we get.
24:56That's on the way next.
24:57Jeremy and Joe here on WGR.
24:59T 코리.
24:59That's good.
25:00Ho.
25:00Look at this.
25:02What's up there?
