00:02Bet a higher percentage now are waking up that were up for last night's Sabres game that ended at 1
00:09.20 in the morning because a 10.30 game really starts at 10.50 in, you know, our new sports
00:17age where they just tell you when coverage starts, basically.
00:20Anyways, good morning, Sal. I'm guessing you did not stay up until 2 o'clock in the morning for that
00:24game, or maybe you did.
00:26And I did. I stayed up. I watched the whole game. And part of it was the World Series was
00:32still going on.
00:33Right. I mean, it was this really long game. And I was like, OK, I didn't really plan on staying
00:39up for the whole game last night.
00:40I said, I'm going to stay with it as long as I can. But you know how this works. You
00:43stay with it.
00:44It's a close game and you feel really guilty about going to bed. I'm like, OK, well, I'm going to
00:49stay.
00:49So I watched probably the last 10 minutes while in the bedroom, put it on TV. I'm like, that way.
00:56And I did start to doze off and back on. And then at the very end, I'm like, thank goodness.
01:01I watched it.
01:02So, yeah, I was up. Really nice win. I mean, I think that's got to be the best goaltending performance
01:08of the year, obviously, for the Sabres.
01:09I mean, Colton Ellis was incredible last night. And the Sabres, I mean, they were getting chances, too.
01:14They only, I know, scored one, not on the empty net. But man, they were they were moving the puck.
01:19They were getting chances. So great job by both goaltenders.
01:22And, you know, it seems like for the first time, you know, the guys, the good guys came out on
01:28the right end on that one.
01:29Yeah. It feels like one where the Sabres could have won it four to nothing. Right.
01:33Like, I mean, yeah, Askaroff played great and he deserves credit.
01:37But the Sabres had or could have lost seven to six or right.
01:40That that's how that game felt like it was going to go. Yes, it was.
01:44Back and forth. They had a stat on ESPN in the first period.
01:47It was the most shots in a period without a goal in the NHL this season.
01:52So you had a you had a goalie show. I didn't see that early on at the very least.
01:56And then that's amazing. Did you see any of the baseball game while that was going on?
02:00I did not. I saw that the that the Rays won and kept it alive.
02:04Bottom of the 12th. Right. Is how late it went.
02:06Yeah. And Milwaukee scored in the top of the 12th. Right.
02:10Right. And then the Rays got a couple to win the game.
02:12So it was it was it was a it was a good baseball game.
02:15It's one of those things where, you know, did they let him back in a little bit here?
02:18We'll see. I don't think so. I think Milwaukee is just a little bit too tough.
02:21But, you know, I mean, yeah.
02:23One time I'm thinking, wait a minute. It is like 1230 in the morning.
02:27We got a Sabres game and a baseball game at the same time we're watching here.
02:31Right. Do you find yourself rooting for Milwaukee as a city, by the way?
02:36They're not totally starved. Like they have a couple championships.
02:39But I mean, the Brewers have never won. So I guess, you know, they're and they're also not like a
02:44dynasty city.
02:45It's not Boston. Like they have. What is it? One championship in the last 50 years, 40 years, something like
02:49that.
02:51Well, let's count the Packers. That's really funny. You bring that up.
02:54Be great. Do you count the Packers?
02:57I feel like you should, because I bet all football fans in Milwaukee are Packer fans.
03:03Right. OK, so you are too young to remember. This is funny.
03:07I just had this conversation with Yana last night. She said kind of the same thing.
03:09Like, like she's like, you ever been in Milwaukee? Like, what's it like in the city?
03:13And I said, do you know that the Packers used to play like two games a year in Milwaukee in
03:19the regular season?
03:20Like like the Bills did in Toronto. The Packers did that for quite a while.
03:24Actually, the Bills played a game in Milwaukee in the Super Bowl years.
03:30They went back there and played. It is, you know, they were a shared team.
03:33So if you're if you're a Milwaukee fan, Milwaukee and Green Bay are like the same thing, kind of like
03:38it's the same area.
03:39It's just called the Green Bay Packers. But they would play.
03:42And I don't know, maybe it's an hour away. Maybe it's a little less. I don't know the exact geography.
03:45Right. But that's why it's interesting to me that you when when you said that, I thought, you know, it's
03:49funny because you're the perfect person to ask this.
03:51Like, you know, sports really well, but you probably don't remember that the Packers played two games a year in
03:56Milwaukee.
03:56How long ago did that stop? Was that because I don't remember that mid 90s, maybe mid 90s.
04:03All right. I would think. OK, I'm not really sure. I'd have to look it up. Maybe late 90s.
04:07I mean, she's, you know, Tasker's last game was against the Packers. You remember, you know, he got thrown out
04:11of the game.
04:12Right. I mean, like that's the kind of the infamous thing that's in Green Bay.
04:15But I think right around that time, maybe a little before they were they were playing there.
04:18If it was later than that, I'd be surprised, but I it wouldn't completely shock me.
04:22You know what I mean? So I'd have to look at that.
04:24About 1933 to 1995. It was 60, 62 years.
04:29They did that. I mean, that really would be like if you think about it, because Green Bay is the
04:34smaller market by a lot.
04:35Right. That almost would be like if the Bills played in Rochester this whole time and they play two games
04:40a year in Buffalo.
04:41Like, wouldn't we all be Bills fans still? Probably, I would think.
04:45Yeah. I mean, they did it. I mean, because Green Bay was so small and they needed to draw the
04:48money probably from the Milwaukee market.
04:50I'm not sure the exact background. That's probably it. So anyway, when you say championships, like that's part of it.
04:55Like Green Bay is Milwaukee. And I consider them because I grew up knowing that they were the same thing
05:01there.
05:03I do root for the Brewers here because of a couple of reasons. Number one, I mean, I I'm a
05:08Yankee fan and the Rays are just a pain in the butt all the time.
05:11And I hate that. Although I don't like hate the Rays just like as a it's not like the Red
05:16Sox. Right.
05:17Right. It's just man, there's such a pain in the butt to the Yankees. But actually really respect how the
05:20Rays have built the organization.
05:21I respect how they built their team and where they are. But even to a higher level, I respect that
05:26about the Brewers.
05:26Joe, this is a team that like they do everything right. They have everything you need and they don't have
05:31this high payroll.
05:32They play the game the right way. Like I say the right way.
05:34They play the game this old school style station to station. Everybody hits.
05:38They have pitching all up and down the roster. It's incredible to watch this team in this era of launch
05:45angles and exit velocity.
05:47Like that's not them. And they are so damn good. It's so impressive.
05:50Yeah. Their pitchers just mow down the opposing order. It's incredible.
05:55Well, anyway, so let's let's get to the Bills here as today's the first day for injury reports,
06:00which might be as interesting on the other side of this game as it will be for the Bills as
06:05well.
06:06But let's start what we're looking for on on that front and kind of what where we were trending.
06:11Right. Like DJ Moore gets the full month of rest at Oliver, got a practice in right right before the
06:17Raider game.
06:18So I don't know. Do you feel like we're going to get we're likely at least to get good news
06:22today on that front?
06:23The injury front for the Bills. I'm saying you're saying I'm sorry.
06:26Yeah, I do. I think that when you think about DJ Moore missing a month, right,
06:29that's what it is. His last game he played was October 4th.
06:32This game is November 1st. So you think about that's a full month he's had to be able to get
06:37back on the field.
06:37And boy, that that would be like, boy, if you go out there, we go out there today and DJ
06:41Moore's not practicing.
06:42I'm like, wow, that's something's really going on here with the shoulder. Right.
06:45I mean, it felt like he was there kind of hold them back already to play.
06:49Maybe he could have he wanted to. And, you know, the way to protect him from himself, that whole kind
06:53of thing.
06:54And Oliver, I think like that probably need a little bit more space.
06:57He had a couple injuries. You know, you figure out you figure that he was probably going to miss a
07:03couple of weeks,
07:04lay off him, give him an extra week with the with the bye and then get him back on the
07:08field.
07:09And then you have obviously two guys who left the game against the Raiders, Bradley Chubb and Dalton Kincaid.
07:14But they both came back. But it's still something to monitor.
07:17I mean, ribs can be tough to deal with. And those were the that's the injury listed for both.
07:21Now, in Dalton's case, he was the guest picker on college game day.
07:24I don't know if you saw that. Did a good job. He actually called a couple of the upsets he
07:28picked.
07:29I don't know if you want to call him upsets by the line, but he picked Wisconsin to beat USC.
07:33He picked UCF to beat BYU. Yep. I'm like, wait a minute.
07:37That's the one there. Yeah, I'm going to Dalton Kincaid for all my college football picks from now on.
07:41You know what's going on here. Right. So, yeah, he but those are those are the couple of guys that
07:45we're going to monitor this week.
07:46Obviously, do you feel like they need that Oliver back in a bad way?
07:52Like it's better. It's been the better unit of the defense. Right.
07:55Better than the linebackers in the secondary so far.
07:58But hasn't it quieted down a little bit like Rousseau has now gone a couple of games on a sack.
08:03Walker's still making incredible plays, even if he's not getting the quarterback all the time.
08:07And then you have that other side where Chubb's been a little quiet.
08:11Parker maybe is the one trending up. So how how important do you feel it is for Oliver to get
08:17back if if he is going to be ready to get back?
08:20Yeah, I think he's really important for that reason.
08:22What Oliver does is he really helps out the entire group because of his skill set and his ability to
08:28penetrate.
08:28And it's a great point you bring up like early in the year when he played that first game,
08:33like him and Deion Walker together when they can penetrate and force a quarterback out of the pocket and have
08:38to go try to,
08:39you know, move right or move left. And then now you have Chubb and now you have Greg Rousseau.
08:43And those guys will tell you like their sacks this year.
08:45Rousseau, like a lot of it is cleaning up after those guys in the interior do a really good job.
08:50So I do think that getting at Oliver back and look at Oliver's a really good player.
08:54It just hasn't been on the field enough over the last couple of years.
08:57So, yeah, I think that would help them a lot. And Joe, you know this.
09:00I mean, one way to help out what's going on, not necessarily fix the back end is to be better
09:06up front.
09:06And if you can get the quarterback on the ground, then you can't give up any passing yards.
09:10And if you can get around him and impact him, he's got to throw the ball a little earlier.
09:13So I do think I do think that that would that would help, you know, the bills overall.
09:20The other guy we didn't talk about that to mention is I do wonder they do get they do.
09:27They are eligible to bring Jordan Hancock back this week off IR.
09:31And because of the C.J. Gardner Johnson suspension, I do wonder if that's something they're going to do.
09:37They do get an extra roster spot this week.
09:40Gardner does not Gardner Johnson does not count on their 53 man roster this week.
09:44They can do that. There was also you saw.
09:47I'm sure. Yeah. Tyrell Shavers agent posted a picture of Tyrell.
09:52Tyrell, I think people said that step on Diggs. I think I thought it was Diggs when I saw it
09:57at first.
09:57But I think everyone's realized now that it's Shavers.
10:00It's Shavers, I think, coming out of the tunnel before the final game at Highmark.
10:03They're wearing the red helmets. Right. Right.
10:05Yeah. And I don't think Diggs did. But anyway, that is all it's Tyrell's agent.
10:10And there's been enough. I know I can tell you personally like that.
10:14I think that there's a feeling from that side that maybe it's trending in the right way.
10:18So we'll see where that goes. I don't know, you know, how that's going to look today when we go
10:22out there this week.
10:24But remember, if Tyrell Shavers practices, you get 21 days.
10:29You don't have to put him on the active roster right away.
10:31You could have him practice. So just to, you know, kind of button up some of the injuries here as
10:35they go forward.
10:37That's interesting. And it's also interesting, Joe, because if you get Tyrell Shavers back.
10:41It does bring into the conversation the trade deadline coming up.
10:44Like, what can he do? What does that room look like?
10:47Yeah. So there's a lot going on here, I think, this week when it comes to this game and the
10:50overall picture with this stuff.
10:52Yeah. Do you feel like he just goes right back in to the role that he was in last year?
10:58Like last year, Sal, Shavers played almost 40 percent of their offensive snaps in the regular season.
11:04He played 54 percent in the playoff game against Jacksonville, which remember, like half of those were on a torn
11:09ACL, which is still insane.
11:10But he played and blocked and there were some catches here and there.
11:16Like, I don't know if it'd be 40 percent, but would you expect him to like have a game day
11:21jersey and be part of the rotation again if he's healthy?
11:25It's a great question. I don't know where you fit him, but I almost have to because of what he
11:32meant to them last year overall for his special team's ability, his blocking ability.
11:40But, you know, now you have. Now you have a guy in Skyler Bell who can't really get a game
11:46day jersey unless there's injuries.
11:48You have Greg Dortch who's on the team for returning punts and kicks.
11:52We could all sit here and go, OK, he can replace Joshua Palmer.
11:56I think that would be the natural replacement to think about, but I'm not sure.
11:59Is that what they want to do? Joshua Palmer seems like he's more of the guy you want to use
12:03in the passing game.
12:04It's easy to say, right, when you sit here and look at it and go, OK, he's had some drops
12:08and maybe that's maybe that's the move.
12:10So I guess the answer is no from me that it's not that easy, that it would happen immediately.
12:16But I feel like they like him enough, Joe, and what he does that they would try to find a
12:20role for him.
12:21You know, one thing I just thought about is maybe why his snap count got so high last year.
12:28Or not even maybe, I think this is true, is it started going up when Coleman was getting suspended and
12:36wasn't being counted on on the field.
12:38You know, like week 10 was the first time that Coleman wasn't active and it happened four times.
12:43And even when he played, his snap count was down.
12:46And from week 10 on, Sal, Shavers played over 50% of the time seven times, which he had not
12:53done one time before that.
12:54Right. And now that Coleman is reliable, like, again, Shavers could still play, but he's not going to play as
13:01much as he did when when Coleman was, again, like a healthy scratch.
13:06No. And the thing is, though, like Keon's not this like gunner that that plays the role that, you know,
13:12Tyrell plays in that regard.
13:14Right. Like Tyrell has such a kind of unique, specific skill that he was on the team for.
13:20And then they started using him a little bit more as a pass catcher, but that might have been more
13:24by necessity than anything else.
13:27Right. So that's a good problem to have, I guess you'd say, because now you have some options that say,
13:33what do you want to do?
13:34But man, what what you can't have seven wide receivers right on the active roster.
13:40I mean, and right now they already have six. So I don't know exactly how that all shakes out, but
13:47we'll see.
13:47And even if they do again, you might want to whenever this happens, whether it's this week, next week, if
13:53it does, you get 21 days, maybe you put them out there and then you wait a couple of weeks
13:58and say, look, maybe there's an injury.
13:59You never want it, but that happens. And then that becomes something that just becomes natural where he slides in
14:04and you kind of wait it out and play the long game a little bit.
14:07So, you know, and then with Jordan Hancock, talk about him, you know, he if you activate him this week,
14:13that's natural that you could have an extra guy.
14:15You help help yourself a little bit. And then C.J. Gardner Johnson comes back.
14:19Now you start to figure out, OK, what are we doing there with our with the slot corner, with the
14:23safety position?
14:24And you'd start to have some roster decisions that have to be made.
14:27Right. Sal Capaccio with us on the Western Hotline. That's by the way, Sal, where like Shavers being back in
14:32the midst.
14:33Dorch is the return is a returner. Bell is a rookie. I just whenever, you know, a receiver idea for
14:39this trade deadline comes up, I'm just not expecting it at all.
14:42Like, here's the Colts that are starting to sell off pieces, what they did yesterday.
14:46And there's discussion about both Josh Downs, who's a good, good slot receiver that gets open and Keenan Allen, who
14:53they'll probably just dump for nothing at the trade deadline eventually.
14:57And I'm just not like, even if it was free like that, like Keenan Allen, right?
15:02I'm just not expecting them to be in that ballgame when they already have a numbers problem.
15:09And how much does a guy like that help? Like, if I said to you right now, the Colts could
15:14just give you Keenan Allen for, you know, a 20, 28 seventh round pick.
15:19Are you really interested?
15:21Not really. Right. I mean, like, who's he playing over?
15:25Yeah. And I mean, like, he's he's done a really good job in this league, but I don't know, like,
15:30I don't I don't think he's helping my team all that much, to be quite honest with you.
15:34This is a Bills team that's leading the league in points scored. They've 32.8 points scored.
15:39Oh, by the way, they just scored 70 points without DJ Moore on the field for a single snap.
15:43I mean, I, I, I don't know. We all understand and know that the issues on this team are on
15:50the defensive side of the ball that they have to correct.
15:52You can never have enough weapons. You want to surround Josh with all these weapons. I totally get it.
15:56But like, I don't know that I think that right now, if you're looking at this roster and you're looking
16:01at how they're performing offensively,
16:03I think you have a tough time bringing people in here and saying, where are we going to put them
16:07and how are they going to help our team?
16:09Is there anything, by the way, that, uh, there's, is there a fit you think between the Bills and Colts
16:14on any position?
16:15I don't know if you've like studied the roster since yesterday, but they trade away Quinton Nelson and DeForest Buckner,
16:20who were both really highly paid, which is probably why they don't go for as much as people thought,
16:25like third round pick next year for Quinton Nelson, Buckner for a fourth, but they've got big, big contracts.
16:31Um, I don't know, like Jonathan Taylor is going to be the one that gets talked about now.
16:35And that's obviously not a fit. Like we should, we be looking at like their linebackers or safeties probably.
16:42So they have a safety named Grover Stewart, who I've seen out there, people kind of thinking, Oh, is this
16:48a guy that, um, I'm sorry.
16:50A defensive, I'm sorry. I said safety, a defensive tackle named Grover Stewart.
16:53Yep. And I've seen people out there saying, I'm like, I don't know though.
16:55I mean, you have numbers there at defensive tackle, but that's kind of the name, another name that's been, you
16:59know, floating out there a little bit.
17:01Um, no, I don't, I'm not sure. I haven't really poured over their roster enough to say that Joe.
17:05Yeah. Um, I still think like if the bills are going to take a swing here, what is Derwin James
17:12situation?
17:12What is Buda Baker situation? Like that feels more like what you need to do need, you know what I
17:19mean?
17:19So no, I, I don't think on the hoof, I'm looking at their roster and, and even like, I don't
17:24know.
17:24What do you think about, and not that there would trade, I just think it's an interesting discussion because of
17:28what they gave up for him.
17:29Like, where do you think a guy like sauce Gardner is right now? Like, you know, they trade for him
17:34and it's not going great as a team.
17:36And is it even going great as an individual on that team? No, I don't think so.
17:40Like he's not, he has not lived up to the hype of sauce Gardner since he came in the league
17:44and he was really good as rookie year, I think.
17:45But other than that, it's like, it feels like, eh, I don't even know.
17:49I don't even know if that's something you'd be like, Ooh, you know what? Can I get them?
17:52You know what I mean? I agree. And I think what's complicating there is one, right.
17:56He is struggling. And two, what they paid for him a year ago, like to get them to say, yeah,
18:03we'll trade him for even a second round pick. Like you can't trade multiple firsts for a guy there that
18:10he's
18:10the reason why they don't have their pick this year. That's probably going to end up being in the top
18:1410.
18:14Um, I just think taking the L that quickly would be stunning. So I, they're, they're in a terrible spot.
18:21Like they're in the worst spot in the league. I think you don't have your first round pick.
18:24You're trying to recoup assets. You're not good. Like, you know, it's funny you say that.
18:29Yeah. I thought yesterday they could be in for a pretty hard rebuild here. Like, I mean, we know they're
18:34rebuilding. This could be a bit, are they looking to get, uh, you know, you had the man, you had
18:39Manning there. All right. I mean, are they looking to get arch? Are they looking to replicate that?
18:42But how do they get them? They don't first, right? Oh, that's true. Unless, well, that's
18:47why I say, do they not have one just this year? Cause there's some talk that arch going back
18:50to school too. Oh, right. That's right. Um, right. They don't, they didn't have one last
18:54year from the gardener trade and they don't have one this year. You're right. If arch
18:57went back to school or even transfer, that's right. Then no, that's right. They wanted a quarterback
19:00this year. It couldn't be him. Yeah. You know, they have, they traded that first round
19:05pick to the jets, which really kind of sucks to look at all the jets draft picks this year and
19:09where they're going to land now. Yep. You know what I mean? Like, Oh my God, the jets
19:12like are really set up and you still got to hit on these things. You still got to
19:15do it, but they're really set up with some draft picks coming up. Yeah. They
19:19have the Cowboys pick and the Colts pick. So they would right now pick, they would
19:22pick seventh, 10th and 12th if the season. Oh my God. That's amazing. I mean, there
19:28haven't been a lot of teams with three, three first rounders, but if they were to
19:31keep them, yeah, that have to be the highest group of first rounders you've ever
19:36seen out of three picks. Yeah. Three in the, in the first, in the top half of the
19:40draft. I don't remember that. Sal Capaccio with us on the Western hotline, uh, back
19:45on bills and Ravens for a moment here, Sal, you feel like we're at a point now in
19:49the week where everyone's expecting it will be Lamar.
19:54Yes. But is the team expecting that? Is Lamar expecting that? I mean, I think all
20:01of us are expecting it, but weren't we kind of doing that on Friday of last week
20:06against the Bengals at this point, like if it's not Lamar, I'm like, what is going
20:12on here? Like it does feel like it's gotta be Lamar, but I guess Joe, the way, the way
20:17I would say it is you just never know with him. You just never know. And there's
20:21going to be a couple of days here where you gotta see it. You gotta see him at
20:27practice and not everybody look, Oh my God, look at his limp. Right. And which by the
20:33way, it was true. I guess that was a big thing last week. Like whoever was the
20:37one that maybe it was a James Hensley, right? Put it out. So he's got this limp.
20:41I don't want to put that on him necessarily. It might've been him. And he got
20:44like panned like, Oh my God, are you kidding me? He's not limping. And then
20:46look what happened. He didn't play. Right. And, um, so I just wonder, yes, I think
20:52from my perspective, you prepare for Lamar Jackson. Now, what that looks like with
20:56him on the field, is he the full Lamar? Can he do everything that he normally would
21:00do as Lamar Jackson? I think that's a different question, but I think if you're
21:02the Buffalo bills, you are probably thinking that Mar Jackson's going to
21:05play. And I think from my perspective, it feels like Lamar Jackson's going to
21:08play. Although you just never know. I just think it'd be even more incredible
21:11if he doesn't play when now everybody is like on it. It's on everybody's radar,
21:17right? Like, and even Minter earlier in the week asked about, he got asked a
21:21question. Maybe it was also from Jameson Henley about the, there was a report
21:25that they were surprised. They were even stunned that he didn't play against
21:30the Bengals. And he got asked about that. Is that a fair characterization? And
21:34he, or is it, was that an unfair report? He said a little bit. Like he didn't even
21:39give a strong no on that. Amazing. Right? Like in coach speak, I feel like that's
21:43equivalent of like, yeah, it's a hundred percent true. Yeah. It's, it's wild.
21:47You know, Lamar, he, um, he beats to his own drum. He doesn't have an agent. Um, I
21:52don't think he's ever really hired one. I, he has, you know, he's, he's on an
21:56expiring contract, Joe, and he has some injuries. He plays a certain way where
22:02injuries can really obviously impact him and what could happen in his career,
22:06both short-term and long-term. And, you know, there's a, there's a part of me
22:10that understands and respects that side from a player and going, look, I mean,
22:14you know, you, you guys put me out there every week and I do everything.
22:19Yeah. Sorry about that. I'll get him up here in the, if that's what happens
22:22when you watch the game until two in the morning. Right. And he gets on the
22:26field and, uh, there's a part of me that respects him saying like, Hey, I'm
22:30not going to go out there and not be my full self and put myself at risk in a
22:34contract year, knowing the style of play that I have to have in order to be my
22:39full, to be full Lamar. And I know that doesn't play well in the sports
22:43world. I totally get it. I mean, look at his own fans. Like there was this
22:45video, did you see the video going around of his own fans? Yeah. Yep. And they're
22:48like, what do you think about Lamar? Like, yeah, he doesn't play hurt and all
22:51that kind of stuff. And I get it. Like there's a stigma that gets attached to
22:54any athlete when that happens and you never want that. But I also understand
22:59like Sam Laporta had these comments about Detroit last week, like how much he
23:04goes out there and does everything he can for them. And they don't have a
23:06contract for him. And this is, you know, this is the game you play when you're
23:12making hundreds of millions of dollars and tens of millions of dollars and you
23:17put your body on the line. So from that perspective, I, I understand it for Lamar
23:22Jackson. I think though there also is, there's your fans questioning it and being
23:27upset about it. There's the media. And then does it play well with your
23:31teammates that a lot of those guys are going, they're all, a lot of them are
23:37playing through things. And if you're not willing to do the same thing, I think,
23:44you know, that could alienate yourself from, from teammates. I guess it's been
23:48happening long enough though, that has it happened to this point, but I would
23:52think about that. Like, is it play well in the locker room as much as no, that's
23:56right. I agree. And, um, and we, and that's the one thing we don't know from
23:59this side and even maybe they don't know if they're covering the team, but, um,
24:03it's a really interesting dynamic there at this point. I mean, honestly, and you and I
24:09both have talked to people in Baltimore enough, we've had people on the air and
24:12Jeremy Kahn and all these people that we know, like what, if you're doing this
24:17show in Baltimore and the question is basically like, what's the chance
24:21percentage chance? He's the Ravens quarterback next year. There's
24:24certainly a debate there. There's certainly a question there, right? Yeah. I
24:28mean, I think you have to, but you're right. Like it would be, it would be a
24:31conversation. You can, you can not pay him. I think it's, but it's tough, right?
24:37Like, I think you just have to say, I'll just, this is a, uh, this is a
24:41consequence of having him as my quarterback, but I have to do it because
24:45otherwise I'm starting over and that's as tough as having him play, you
24:50know, 12 games a year. I mean, there was a minute where we thought he was
24:53the Atlanta Falcons quarterback, right? All of a sudden that just happened
24:58like three years ago. And there were the reports that, or there were rumors
25:02like he wanted to go back to Miami at one point. So yes. Yeah. That, that whole
25:05thing, like whatever it was, but that was, yeah, exactly. All that whole
25:08thing that came out and then teams were being eliminated. I don't
25:11know. It was kind of a, it was a, well, we'll learn more today. Injury
25:14reports for both teams today. Yes. Um, you got a new podcast by the
25:17way, with Jordan Poyer and Matt Perino. We're gonna talk to Matt later in
25:19the day also. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're doing the, uh, we, we did this, we did
25:23this pod last night. We started it was once a week and it's live with
25:26Jordan and, you know, Jordan's getting in the media space and he's doing
25:29his own thing. And, you know, we've kind of teamed up to kind of help
25:32him be a part of the, this thing that he's doing, but he's really
25:35good. He's great to talk to. And it was amazing last night, the
25:37insight that he gave, it really was. Uh, and I asked him
25:40specifically, Hey, I said, Jordan, the number one question I get
25:43asked about Tredavious White is, can he play safety? Can you kind of
25:45take us into that? And he was, he, he was great on it. He's like,
25:48look, I'm not saying that the, he couldn't like, he, he couldn't do
25:51it physically, like the skillset. He, he said that basically like it
25:55is such a different game and the way that Tredavious has thought the
25:59game, his whole career would have to change immensely. And it's just too
26:02hard. You know what I mean? It's just, it's really interesting
26:04insight. So yeah, thanks. I appreciate that. It's a, it's
26:07gonna be fun. We'll, we'll do that every week. And, um, you
26:09know, it's just another way to kind of give Bill's fans some
26:11content and, uh, you know, uh, some really good insight. Awesome.
26:15Well, thank you, Sal. And we'll, uh, we'll talk tomorrow. You got
26:17it, buddy. Thanks. Sal Capaccio on the Western hotline as it
26:22was Rappaport, I believe was the one I want to get, I want to
26:26get, this is where you have to be with Lamar. You have to get the
26:30wording exact on reports about whether he'll play because
26:36everybody is so careful in how to word it because of all the
26:43ambiguity and like it being up to him. And the reporting from
26:49yesterday from Rappaport was again, the couching really, this is
26:56how you got to judge how likely it is. He plays how many times
27:01is there a hedge in a insider's report? Rappaport said, I expect
27:09that's one hedge based on the people that I've spoken with. That's
27:15two that Lamar Jackson will play this week. All right. So two, two
27:22line there about Jackson playing. I think he'll play because the
27:26microscope is on him and he would probably have to know the team
27:31would know that dude, if you don't play this week, you think it's
27:35ugly now? Imagine next week. If he doesn't play and they lose to
27:40the bills and Josh Allen, it'll be a circus. There's no, I think
27:46there's no way he doesn't play this week because of that. It would
27:49become a circus if he did not play this Sunday. And if he does
27:54play, the story just kind of goes away until the next time it
27:56happens. 803-0550 is the phone number. Where are Bills fans at on
28:01Lamar? Because I know it's always been this long, long lasting
28:06debate going back to their MVP chases. These are the two guys that
28:10have yet to win. And I feel like if you have been, which 99.9% of
28:17the bills fans are team, Josh Allen between these two, you
28:19probably feel like I'm justified in feeling that way over the
28:24last couple of years because of all of this as much as
28:27anything. 803-0550 is the phone number. Jeremy and Joe, we'll
28:31talk with Paul in the next hour. A lot of football talk before
28:33that coming up here at WGR.
28:36WGR.
