00:00We're out at the 1812 Tavern for our Sabres Watch Party.
00:02We had a great time.
00:03We're going to do more out there.
00:04Yeah, yeah.
00:05And, you know, Joe and I are walking around, saying hello to people.
00:08I walk over to Joe.
00:08I see a plate of wings on his table.
00:10I say, oh, wings, what'd you get?
00:12Answer, of course.
00:12You got mediums.
00:13Mediums, of course.
00:14Which is fine, you know.
00:14The right answer.
00:15Got mediums.
00:15Sure.
00:16And now listening back to that conversation, you know, some places are going to have,
00:19if we're talking just like a standard hot, that's fine.
00:21But, you know, some places will mix it up.
00:22Anyway, so, like, all right, well, why don't we try hot?
00:26You want to try some hot wings?
00:27And I go to the manager there, Kyle, and said, like, hey, let's get a plate of hot wings.
00:31And he said, hot or super hot?
00:35And I said, let's dabble in both.
00:39So they brought out five hot and five super hot.
00:42Joe Kelly's there as well.
00:44Josh Schmidt, our old morning show producer, is there.
00:46And, Sal, it became a little bit of an adventure in how hot does the crew want to go, right?
00:52I'll eat a hot wing all the time.
00:54Hot is pretty much my standard.
00:55So, you know, these guys tried hot.
00:56And then for the first time in his life, you said, right, first time in your life?
01:00Yes, definitely.
01:00You really, like, ascended to try a hotter than hot wing.
01:04Yes, anything like nuclear, atomic, whatever is on your menu, like, never touched it.
01:09Yeah.
01:09Super hot I went for.
01:10Went for super hot.
01:11Joe Kelly, did you go for the super hot?
01:12I did not go for the super hot.
01:14I got one bite in, and it took me about 20 minutes to recover.
01:18Okay.
01:18Breathe and fire.
01:19I needed to eat so much blue cheese after that to really counteract what was happening.
01:25It was, yeah, a lot.
01:27All right.
01:27So, a lot going on here, all right?
01:29All right.
01:29Number one.
01:31I will tell you that I am more on, like, Joe's level here.
01:35Because I don't eat super-duper hot nuclear wings.
01:39Because, A, yes, my mouth's on fire.
01:42It takes me a little while to recover.
01:43And, B, I generally feel a lot of times it takes away the taste.
01:47Yeah.
01:47Like, what am I doing?
01:48Sometimes that can be the case.
01:50Right?
01:50Sometimes.
01:51But, hey, if you're with your buddies, you're like, you want to try something, I get it.
01:56Totally get it.
01:56But, not really something I would normally do.
02:00So, I'm okay with it, Joe.
02:02I'm with you on that.
02:03And, like, you know, why did I do that?
02:04Okay.
02:04I tried it once.
02:05I don't need to do it again.
02:06I tried it once.
02:07That's cool.
02:07It's kind of like jumping out of a plane, which I did one time in my 20s with a parachute.
02:12Like, I'm never doing it again.
02:13You're done?
02:13All right?
02:13I did it.
02:14It's cool.
02:15It was an amazing experience.
02:16I don't really need to do that ever again, to be quite honest with you.
02:18I like it.
02:19Yeah.
02:19All right.
02:20Number two is, Matt Bovay and I are doing an Always Game Day in Buffalo pod at 1812 Tavern.
02:26On November 12th, right before the Sabres play on the road against the Blackhawks.
02:30So, this will be something that maybe we will have to experience.
02:33Very nice.
02:33Very nice.
02:34Yeah, the wings are very good.
02:35And the super hot, you know, I'll dabble up there.
02:37I'll push the envelope a little bit.
02:39It was good.
02:40I had the same experience where I also already had a sandwich.
02:43So, I had a super hot and I thought, I can handle this.
02:45I'm breathing fire.
02:46I'm going to leave.
02:47I was just being generous.
02:49Gentlemen, why don't you each have one of the super hot rather than me finishing all five of them?
02:53You know, I was thinking of other people.
02:55That's what was happening.
02:55Anyway, we had a good time.
02:57We watched the Sabres have a comeback win.
02:59We watched a little bit of the Thursday night game, which, boy, what a drop off from Allen and Stafford
03:04to Darnold and Nicks last night.
03:06It was pretty tough.
03:07Anyway, great night out there.
03:10I was thinking last night, are the Broncos kind of the antithesis of the Bills this year?
03:14Yes.
03:15Like, the Broncos are this team that just, they have no offense to speak of.
03:20But their defense is so good.
03:22It carries them and they can overcome all of those deficiencies.
03:26Where the Bills offense, it overcomes all those deficiencies of their defense right now, right?
03:32It's so crazy.
03:33Yep.
03:33And the Broncos have a good resume of wins right now.
03:36But I want to hear a conversation about how what they do is not sustainable.
03:41There's no way they can win the way they're playing.
03:44Right.
03:45That's right.
03:46Hey, listen.
03:47I mean, I've always believed, and I think things have changed in the league, so I'm not going to say
03:51it's the same way now.
03:53But I've always believed a well-balanced team, offense and defense, is your best case.
03:58I think you'd much better, much rather these days have a better offense.
04:01I do believe that because the game has changed a lot.
04:04I don't think you can win.
04:05I don't think you have to have a great defense to win in the NFL anymore like many years ago
04:10you used to.
04:10But you can't have a really, really bad defense, which obviously is the test of the Bills right now to
04:15clean up.
04:16I don't think you have to have a great offense, but you can't have a really bad offense.
04:20I still think now you need a better offense than you do a defense, but you can't be as bad
04:27as you were by the Broncos last night.
04:29And I don't think you can be as bad as you've been by the Bills up until this point, if
04:33that makes sense.
04:34I think the same thing about goaltending and hockey.
04:36Goaltending and hockey, I don't think you have to be great, but you can't be terrible if you want to
04:40win a title.
04:41Right.
04:41And Nix is getting crushed this morning.
04:43I mean, there are so many stats about what he did yesterday and even beyond that.
04:48Like, he's 13-3 in games where he averages less than six yards an attempt.
04:53Fitz is blasting him.
04:55Like, I've never seen an analyst.
04:56He's running out of bounds.
04:57I couldn't believe that last night.
04:58Right.
04:58I couldn't believe that last night.
04:59Fitz, we were out last night watching the game here, a good spot near the hotel.
05:05And the game ended fairly early, our time.
05:08Got back to the hotel.
05:09I put the game, the postgame on, and I'm like, oh my god, Fitz is ripping him like this.
05:14Right.
05:14After a win, which is incredible.
05:17After a win, that's exactly right.
05:19That's how bad it was.
05:20Sal Capaccio joining us from the West Coast as the Bills and Raiders will go Sunday.
05:24Sal, let's get the injury report, the updated injury report brought to you by the Barnes Firm.
05:28If you've been injured in a crash, call the Barnes Firm, 1-800-8-million.
05:32Where do things stand for some of our players?
05:34We're looking to see if they're good to go.
05:36Where are the questions?
05:37How's the injury report look overall?
05:39There was only one change on the injury report from Wednesday's estimation to Thursday.
05:45It's a really nice change.
05:46And that is Spencer Brown went from limited to full.
05:48So he's on track to play.
05:50He had told us, as we spoke about yesterday, that it really was just muscular and, you know,
05:56his back, his nervous system, his muscles flaring up from the long plane ride and being sick.
06:01So that looks really good.
06:02But that being said, only two guys did not practice.
06:06And again, the same two who did not practice on Wednesday, DJ Moore and Ed Oliver.
06:11So at this point, we'll have to see.
06:13Remember, you know, neither of these guys played last week, along with the other guys who didn't play.
06:18Joshua Palmer, he practiced again.
06:21D. Alford, he practiced again.
06:22I think all those guys are kind of trending in the right way, obviously.
06:25But not Moore, not Oliver.
06:26And the fact that they have a bye next week, guys, has to be considered here, right?
06:29Where if you're going to put – and the fact they won last week against the Rams,
06:33if they're going to put DJ Moore on the field, you know, there's a bit of a risk there with
06:37the injury and re-aggravating it.
06:38Or they can give him another full two weeks, which would be close to a month of him getting rest
06:43there.
06:43And then it just feels like that's what they're going to do with Ed Oliver.
06:46But, you know, we'll see what today holds.
06:47Quick thing on DJ Moore.
06:48Did I see Brady was asked how DJ Moore handled the idea that he wasn't going to play?
06:53And he simply just kind of laughed at it like he was not happy?
06:57Because that – is that right, Sal?
06:59Is that the interaction I saw?
07:02Say that again?
07:03Joe Brady was asked about DJ Moore not playing.
07:06Like, how did he take it, right?
07:08Because, of course, Moore is a player that's going to want to play.
07:11And Brady just kind of put a smile on his face.
07:14My read of that was, like, he's not happy that he's not out there.
07:17Correct.
07:17Yeah, that was my read of it as well.
07:19That was my read of it as well.
07:20My secondary read of that is he's already fought the battle once.
07:24He's going to fight it one more week and then you're back, right?
07:27I'm not going to hold you out for one.
07:28I'm going to hold you out for two and get a two for three,
07:30and you're going to feel like a million bucks when you come back against Baltimore.
07:34Yeah, yeah.
07:35I think that's what I'm reading as well.
07:37Yes, for sure.
07:37It was a funny look on his face.
07:39Just like – in my head I'm just picturing DJ Moore yelling at them.
07:42Let me play.
07:43No.
07:44Anyway.
07:45Sal, one of the big stories about this game,
07:47we talked to Vic Carucci a little bit ago,
07:48and he said he thinks the biggest story might be how many Bills fans are there.
07:52Do you think that this has the chance to be –
07:54I don't know what the leader in the clubhouse is,
07:56but the biggest Bills takeover yet?
08:02This one will be – I don't know.
08:05I mean, there's been a lot of them over the years, to be honest with you.
08:07All your years on the sidelines, right?
08:10Where do you – if I was just to ask you, you know, unscientifically,
08:13Miami's obviously going to be a staple,
08:15but where would you say is the biggest takeover you can remember there ever being?
08:22Yeah, Miami is always it.
08:25Miami's got to be, like, the number one – you know what?
08:28Maybe Carolina.
08:30Okay.
08:30I mean, you guys can imagine with all the fans down in Charlotte
08:33and all the fans down there, like, maybe Carolina is –
08:37overall, L.A. L.A. a few years ago was pretty incredible, actually,
08:42but I think Carolina's probably it.
08:45I think Miami just always comes to mind as one of those places.
08:49This will be interesting.
08:50Now, Vegas always has, like L.A., a lot of fans from the other team
08:55because it's a destination city, and we all know Bills fans travel well.
08:58There will be a ton of Bills fans inside the stadium.
09:01However, because the Raiders have been a little bit better,
09:04I think it might be a little more challenging than what it would have been
09:06maybe if it was later in the season and the team was bad,
09:08but I do think you're going to get a massive Bills Mafia takeover this weekend.
09:13It's not, obviously, the most exact way to do it,
09:15but, like, these ticket sites will put out –
09:17Percentage.
09:18Percentage.
09:19And I think I found that the highest number at one of those sites
09:23is the AFC East title game, if you will, week 18 in Miami.
09:28Miami was 52%.
09:29Okay.
09:30At least one site said that was 52% Bills fans.
09:33So, you know, Miami does feel like –
09:35Can you see what this game is trending at?
09:37Or do you not know yet?
09:38I can try to find that.
09:38I don't see it, though.
09:39Not yet.
09:41But we'll see.
09:41We've never had a game at the stadium, right?
09:44Nashville is always, obviously –
09:45that's one that I've experienced live.
09:47Never had fans there.
09:47The Bills played – yeah, the Bills played there in 2020,
09:49but there were no fans in this game, this stadium.
09:53Sal, the matchup itself,
09:55one of the big advantages the Bills might have here
09:57is how well they run block and how bad the Raiders are at it
10:00and explosive plays as well.
10:01Like, it certainly seems like it could be a game where James Cook is,
10:05you know, hold on to the football number one
10:07and then, you know, get a bunch of carries.
10:09I feel like James Cook could kind of change the chatter around him this week.
10:14Yeah, for sure.
10:15And, you know, Brady was pretty hard on, hey,
10:20you know, there's got to be consequences,
10:21the way he said that the first time we met with him.
10:24And then he kind of walked it back a little bit to make sure everybody –
10:27he even said, I don't want you guys thinking that I'm saying
10:30I'm going to bench James Cook, you know, something like that.
10:33So he kind of made sure, as he's done with a lot of his players
10:37of kind of protecting them and trying to say, like,
10:39it's on me, it's on me.
10:40He didn't say it's on me with the fumbles of James Cook,
10:42but he wanted to make sure he's still my guy.
10:44I didn't want to – you know, I don't want you to get the wrong impression here.
10:47That being said, we know that he's got to be better at that.
10:51I asked James the other day about technique.
10:54And, look, I said, I know that since you're a little kid,
10:56you're taught not to fumble the ball.
10:58We all know that.
10:58You go through drills every day.
11:00I watch it, guys.
11:00I mean, for anybody who thinks that they're not, like, learning or, I don't know,
11:05going through drills on how to hold the football or make sure they don't fumble
11:08or they don't know the importance, that's just not true.
11:10They're doing that.
11:11So, I don't know the exact answer other than be better at it, right?
11:16I mean, honestly, that's what it comes down to.
11:17They do drills every single day, running backs, ball protection drills.
11:21So do receivers.
11:22So do quarterbacks.
11:23Every day.
11:24You know, it also happens, defenders do drills every day to get the ball out, right?
11:27It's just a – it's a game of how they do that.
11:30And once you are known to be a fumbler, teams are going to continue to do that.
11:35So I asked James, is it possible that you could kind of do something different
11:40technique-wise, maybe even holding the ball, something like that?
11:44And he looked at me and he said, we'll see on Sunday.
11:47Or no, he said, you'll see on Sunday.
11:49And I'm like, oh, I wonder if we see him carrying the ball any different on Sunday.
11:53Okay.
11:54One thing I ran by Vic, Sal, that I wonder what you think about is just what the Bills
12:00would do in late-game situations.
12:02Like, especially in the biggest games of the year, because they've already in the past
12:07not had him on the field, which has come up.
12:10And it maybe depends, too, if you're running late or if you're passing late.
12:14Because certainly when they're passing late, like, what's New England?
12:17Who's on the field that's open when Allen chucks it down to Palmer?
12:20It's Ty Johnson.
12:23So I guess maybe that's a factor here, too.
12:25But they already kind of take him off the field sometimes in those most critical spots.
12:31Yeah, I know they do.
12:32And, you know, Ty Johnson's so good at what he does, you know, as a third down back.
12:36And, you know, the Bills like having him on the field in that situation.
12:41Late in the game, it's funny.
12:43Don't you guys remember when early in Cook's career, he did come off the field late in the
12:50game for Devin Singletary?
12:53That wasn't even, was it Devin Singletary?
12:54Or how did they, maybe it was Devin Singletary.
12:56If I remember right, who was it, was Devin here with Singletary, like, late in a game?
13:00They would put, Zach Moss would carry the ball, wouldn't he?
13:03Wouldn't Zach Moss carry the ball with the game?
13:04That sounds familiar, yeah.
13:05Yeah, right?
13:06Like, so my, right.
13:07So your point, Joe, and I agree, which is maybe there's also kind of something they can
13:11do to avoid certain situations.
13:13But again, if you do that, you're saying, you're kind of admitting the guy, like, has
13:17an issue and we're scared, right, of fumbling the ball.
13:20So I'm not really sure what the, what the overall, like, kind of mesh there is between
13:25the coaching staff and the player, because you want him on the field.
13:29I know the other guys can also, you know, carry the ball.
13:32Maybe Ray Davis becomes a little bit more of a guy because he's bigger and, you know,
13:36maybe you feel like he's kind of, he can hold the ball a little bit better in those
13:39situations and tuck it.
13:40I'm not really sure.
13:41Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see what they do going forward.
13:43And Sal, this matchup seems good overall for, you know, a big cook day or maybe Davis or
13:49Johnson too, because the Raiders are not good against the run.
13:52And also Tonka Hemingway, who's their best defensive tackle is maybe not going to play
13:56in this game.
13:57Yeah.
13:58And their, their numbers on defense overall are not very good.
14:04If you look against the past too, like they've, they're giving up explosive plays and you
14:09know, the bills, this, this would be a great game to actually have DJ.
14:11More on the field, because I think the bills could really stretch the field a little bit
14:15on them.
14:15They may still be able to in some way, but talking with Vinny Bon senior, he covers the
14:20team and he was on always game day in Buffalo with me.
14:22And, you know, he said that one of the issues have been stopping the run as well.
14:25So it feels like, you know, defensively, they've just had a lot of issues and they really showed
14:29up last week against the Patriots.
14:31So, you know, this is a game where if the offense just does their normal thing, guys, they
14:37should be able to score a lot of points, quite frankly.
14:39Right.
14:39I mean, that's what they do.
14:40I said, this offense rolls out of bed and scores 30 points a game.
14:44It really does.
14:45It's amazing.
14:45I mean, you're watching that game on Monday night and at the end of it, you're like,
14:49how did they score 37 points?
14:51How'd they score 34 at the end of regulation?
14:53No way.
14:53There's no way they played well enough.
14:55They gurned the ball over twice.
14:57They made mistakes.
14:58And yet here they are with 34 points at the end of regulation.
15:01If you, if they don't do that, they don't hurt themselves like that against a team like
15:05the Raiders, they should easily be able to do that.
15:07And I, I feel weird saying that because it's such a high expectation, right?
15:11For any NFL team.
15:12But it's the truth, to be honest with you.
15:15So Capaccio from the West Coast, Bills and Raiders.
15:19Irvine.
15:19Irvine.
15:20California.
15:21Irvine.
15:21I'll be making the trek over to Vegas later today.
15:24Flying over?
15:24Driving over?
15:25No.
15:26Driving over.
15:26Never did the drive.
15:27It's about a four plus hour drive.
15:28It's a good drive.
15:29Okay.
15:30I've done the drive from LA to Vegas and.
15:33Just through the desert?
15:35Yeah, but it's cool.
15:36Yeah.
15:36And there's one sign at one point where, you know, make sure if your engine starts to overheat,
15:42you do this and this and this because you don't want to break down because it's through
15:44the middle of nowhere.
15:45Right.
15:46There are some stretches where it's really nowhere.
15:48And then, of course, you go from desert to boom, this giant casino oasis.
15:53It's a fun drive.
15:54So anyway.
15:55All right, Sal.
15:56Well, maybe I'll see you this weekend.
15:57I'll see you.
15:58I'll see you tomorrow night.
15:59Right.
15:59We're having dinner.
16:00Yeah.
16:01I'll see you at dinner tomorrow night.
16:02Maybe I'll see you before that.
16:03I got to go find a jacket because I know that you're going to be styling and I got to
16:06be
16:06styling.
16:07I just, you know, I got it.
16:10I got to do it.
16:11And, you know, that's the thing.
16:12That was the thing about packing.
16:13You know, a lot of times over the years, it's like you think about the colder weather,
16:17the rain, especially being on the sidelines.
16:19This trip was more about, I don't want to overpack too many, like, like long sleeve things.
16:24I don't really need them.
16:25But at the same time, like I need something that you might have to wear to a dinner or something
16:29like that and bring a jacket.
16:30And then, you know, for the game and those kinds of things.
16:33That was a little challenging.
16:33But as I always like to say, there's a lot worse things to be worrying about in life.
16:37Baiting suits.
16:38Are we packing bathing suits?
16:39Yeah, I think it probably will.
16:41I brought some.
16:42I brought some swimming trunks.
16:43Yes.
16:44Yeah.
16:44Thanks, Sal.
16:45All right, guys.
16:46Sal Capaccio joining us.
16:47Looking at the Bo Nix play where he runs out of bounds.
16:51It's pretty bad.
16:53It's horrible.
16:54It's a first and 10 with 532 to play, a three-point lead.
16:59And you know what?
17:00There's no advantage.
17:01It's not like you could throw the ball away and you're also stopping the clock and you're
17:06not losing four yards.
17:07Right.
17:09So, did it happen twice to the Bills that quarterbacks ran out of bounds in really bad
17:13situations or was it just the...
17:14I thought Edwards did it.
17:16Edwards did it.
17:17And didn't...
17:18Did Bledsoe do it?
17:23I thought I were...
17:24I'm reaching way back.
17:27There's Edwards, yes, on fourth down, I think he ran out of bounds.
17:31Right.
17:32And did Bledsoe do it also?
17:34I don't know if he ran out of bounds or...
17:35Bledsoe threw it away.
17:38On a fourth down?
17:38On a fourth down.
17:39Thought it was a third down.
17:40Oh, okay.
17:41Threw it away.
17:41That's fourth down.
17:44I'm pretty sure if I remember that's right.
17:46At least for Nix, it was first down.
17:48That's about as bad as the Jaden Daniels play, isn't it?
17:50You throw it away on fourth down because you don't know what down it is?
17:54Yeah.
17:55It's pretty bad.
17:56That's so bad.
17:57So, you want to get mad at somebody on the internet real quick?
18:00Sure.
18:01Why not?
18:02Because...
18:02Who are we getting mad at?
18:03We're going to get mad at...
18:04A Ravens fan?
18:05Nick Wright?
18:06No.
18:07We're going to get mad at somebody that took the Bo Nix passing chart...
18:11Okay.
18:11...and the Josh Allen passing chart from this week and said basically like that they're
18:16the same chart.
18:17One guy wasn't competing.
18:18It was the worst performance ever.
18:20The other guy is a legend and of course...
18:22You know, now there's one major difference between what Bo Nix did yesterday and what
18:26Josh Allen did and that would be the 100 rushing yards.
18:30Bo Nix ran twice for four yards.
18:33No.
18:34Sorry.
18:34He ran four times for two yards.
18:35Oh, sorry.
18:35I hit it backwards.
18:36Four times for two yards.
18:38It's even worse.
18:38If I was a Broncos fan, I'd be going nuts that he must be hurt.
18:43He was a runner.
18:45He was a 90 yards in a game guy.
18:48Yeah.
18:49And was that only because it was wide open?
18:51That to me is what really makes Allen incredible.
18:54Maybe these people that are on the internet that are trying to get exposure...
18:58You know how it works.
18:58Like the clicks economy.
18:59Say something wrong on purpose and get retweeted and get dunked on.
19:03We all fall for it sometimes.
19:05Allen is so different.
19:07Here's Bo Nix running out of bounds and not taking contact.
19:12Yep.
19:12You know who else I think about this with is Trevor Lawrence.
19:15Trevor Lawrence in the Bills playoff game.
19:17Didn't he slide before the marker?
19:20Right?
19:20No.
19:21He...
19:22He dove...
19:23What was it?
19:23He dove, kinda?
19:24He dove to avoid contact before the marker.
19:26Yeah, he thought I could dive and get the first.
19:29And he fumbled.
19:30Right.
19:31Versus if he had stood straight up and ran.
19:34He would've got it, but he would've took a hit.
19:35Right.
19:35You've got other NFL quarterbacks who refuse to do the tush push or won't because it's
19:40too painful or uncomfortable.
19:41Allen says, I want it every time because it works.
19:44Right.
19:44And then I've got these quarterbacks like Nix and Lawrence who will, maybe I'll go for
19:49the first down.
19:50Or in Nix's case, I'll run out of bounds.
19:52What does Allen do?
19:54He's picked up the first down.
19:55He's 20 yards past it.
19:56And he looks at the safety and he says, I'm going to smash this guy.
20:01Right.
20:01It is truly wild that anybody could think what he does is not valuable because these
20:10safeties that have to tackle him, why do you think he's able to occasionally not only run
20:15through them, but like run around them and juke defensive backs?
20:18It's probably because they're bracing for contact.
20:22That's what happened in the Pittsburgh playoff game.
20:24Guy's getting ready.
20:25He slows down.
20:26He's bracing for contact.
20:27Yeah.
20:28And he puts a move on him.
20:29So I just can't imagine being so brain poisoned that you look at two passing charts and you're
20:36like, oh, Bo Nix and Josh Allen have the same game.
20:38It is something that I personally appreciate so much about Allen is that there is never
20:48a quit on a play and there's never a brain fart on a play.
20:53You mean like a clock one.
20:55A clock one, but even like there are times.
20:58The end of the half.
20:59I have a line that I'll.
21:01That's not a brain fart.
21:02Against Denver.
21:03No, to me, that's very different.
21:04That is third and six.
21:06I'm not letting this play that is going to result in a change of possession anyway.
21:11No, no.
21:11I'm talking about the Denver playoff game.
21:13Oh, sorry.
21:13The Denver playoff game.
21:14That might be a little bit different.
21:15Okay.
21:15But I'm talking about plays where I have a line that I'll throw on Twitter or in a group
21:19chat.
21:19Like, if you do this, you cannot be my quarterback anymore.
21:22I had this moment with Tua once.
21:24Tua in the Kansas City playoff game is down by like 10 points with six minutes to go.
21:28And on fourth and 18, he threw it five yards.
21:31You can't be my quarterback anymore if you're throwing a check down on fourth and 18.
21:36Jalen Hurts had a moment like this recently where you're throwing 10 yards short of the
21:40sticks.
21:41You're running out of bounds on third down instead of throwing it away, losing five
21:46yards or on first down, whatever it was.
21:48Bo Nix was first down.
21:49Like, have some awareness.
21:50Have some guts.
21:52In a five-minute drill to kill the clock and win the game at home, he ran out of bounds.
21:55Right.
21:55Take a hit.
21:56Take 40 seconds off the clock.
21:58Right.
21:58Or if you are, right, awareness of Peterman running for 30 yards on Hail Mary.
22:04He ran on a Hail Mary.
22:05Right.
22:05Like, you just can't be my quarterback anymore if you're doing stuff like this.
22:08And Allen, like, right, if he's making a mental mistake, it's doing it in the opposite end
22:13of the spectrum.
22:13And I'd rather have that.
22:14I'd rather have to pull him back from he's trying too hard to do stuff than I got guys
22:19over here that are just giving up.
22:21You know, running out of bounds or they're throwing it 10 yards short on fourth down.
22:24Allen's criticism really should be that he occasionally should give up a little more.
22:30Right.
22:30Yeah.
22:31I'd so much rather have that than the opposite.
22:35Hurts, what was the, Hurts had won this Sunday.
22:37Against the Jaguars.
22:39I don't remember what it was.
22:39But it was, it was one of these where you are so short of the sticks that you're just
22:47not even giving your team a chance.
22:49You're accepting a punt or something like that.
22:52Timo Risk, formerly of Pro Football Focus, has a stat on last night's Thursday night game
22:55as well.
22:55The Broncos had nine three and outs.
23:00Well, they averaged like 2.9 yards per play last night.
23:03Nine three and outs.
23:04The Seahawks had no three and outs.
23:06They did not deserve to win that football game.
23:09They are very, the Broncos are a total, I mean, if they got a quarterback, maybe they'd
23:14be different.
23:14Here's their, they want Justin Herbert.
23:16It's in the division though.
23:18The drive chart for the Broncos in the second half, three and out punt, three and out punt,
23:24three and out punt, five play punt, three and out punt, three and out punt, end of regulation.
23:31What is that?
23:32They picked up one first down in the second half?
23:34And they won the football game?
23:35Yeah.
23:36What a joke.
23:37Now I'm mad at Darnold.
23:38And he threw a bad pick.
23:39How did you let that team off the hook?
23:40He threw a bad pick.
23:42He's been bad this year too.
23:43He's not been very good.
23:44Yeah.
23:45I mean, all they have working is JSN.
23:47JSN is so much of their offense.
23:49They have no run game.
23:51Shaheed is not happening this year.
23:53No.
23:53Cooper Cup actually caught a couple of balls yesterday.
23:568.03.0550.
23:57On the Vegas takeover, we've, Joe's devised a little game we're going to play apparently
24:01on 24 Hours in Vegas.
24:03It's coming up.
24:03It's coming up.
