00:14really check in and look at where we've been in the season where we're going first we're going
00:19to start with the michigan wolverines and this time it was michigan on the wrong end of a last
00:24second game winning touchdown pass against iowa damn shame we asked this of western in week one
00:30so we'll ask it of michigan here where did the wolverines go wrong um i'm going to give you two
00:36areas and there's many more so i'm jim i'm sure that you'll be able to um uh accentuate this one
00:43but fourth and one in the second quarter no issue with going for it and in fact i think that
00:49was the
00:49exact right decision but the quarterback sneak the strength of that iowa defense was going to be
00:56all in the middle of that and they struggled to gain yards up the middle of that defense and then
01:03bryce decides to go over the top i thought you were big right i i i just i don't i

01:10at all i'm i was left and i said it during the broadcast like i don't have an issue going

01:15but i have an issue with the play selection second is you have to be able to pick up first

01:22the end of the game you had two opportunities with about eight minutes left in the fourth quarter
01:27you go five plays 12 yards can't pick up first downs and you pump the ball away okay defense gets

01:33stop so then what do you do you go and get the ball back with 233 and you can't get

01:42again you attack the middle of the defense there's no creativity and you have to punt giving iowa
01:47the chance now you hey you you made them go the length of the field but if you pick up

01:53down you don't have to worry about any of it the question was where did the wolverines go wrong
01:58they hired this coaching staff they are supposed to be a clean disciplined tough football team they
02:06committed the cardinal sin against iowa they beat themselves 10 men on the field for that qb sneak
02:11by the way you can't run the ball when it matters where's your toughness and how about defend the
02:15end zone properly on the final play of the game coaching is why they lost yeah and the play that
02:21really i keep going back to second and three with six minutes to go they pick up the first down

02:55msu let me first say i respect that he doesn't want moral victories that's the right approach from the
02:59man coaching the program they do need actual victories i don't think this is a must win though there
03:04are going to be other opportunities for signature wins for pat fitzgerald if they're going to make a
03:08bowl game it's a must win proof of concept not a must win they have to again show that they
03:13are a tough
03:14physical program it's it's when you are lacking talent you've got to rely on some of the intangibles
03:20and this needs to be intangible game and wisconsin luke fickle may have actually saved his job they just
03:28beat the number 13 ranked team in the country in penn state now okay it might be ranked wrong
03:33but that number was still there and wisconsin won and they're playing against a coach that
03:40a lot of msu fans wanted to hire before jonathan smith uh dante moore suffered a nasty concussion
03:47from usc's desmond stevens on a late hit while he was sliding what lesson can be learned from this play
03:53um i don't there there's no fault in dante moore in what he did i know a lot of people

03:59he should have slid earlier no he slid at the appropriate time in and everyone knew he was going
04:05to slide what could have been done differently is as soon and i know when you look at it real
