00:00I put a guide out earlier covering the red moon event and a lot of people are saying that you

00:04can't do this event solo

00:05So I just want to do a quick video showing you how to do it solo and give you some

00:09advice including the build and whatnot

00:11Now I am full of cold right now, so I apologize for my voice

00:14You can probably hear it but it's what it is. Let's carry on

00:17So to do this event solo, you are going to want a decent build

00:21But you can use any sort of build like to do the event in general

00:24You can use any sort of build and the PVDZ is quite challenging

00:28So it's more about your play style than what build you're wearing when we're playing in the group

00:32We went three dps and one healer when i'm going solo i'm going in with a dps

00:36This is the build I am currently using and I want to give a huge shout out to boulder who

00:41I robbed this build off

00:41I asked him what his pestilence build was

00:43He said he was having a lot of fun in the PVDZ of this build

00:47So I wanted to give it a go and it's super good

00:48But honestly as long as you're running a build that you're comfortable with you're going to be fine in the

00:53PVDZ

00:54Because it is more about your play style

00:55It's respecting the content because it can get very rough very quickly

01:00So if you're if you're wanting to face tank enemies all the time

01:02There's not really a build that's going to enable you to do that in the PVDZ

01:06Blue striker does kind of work but they hit so hard

01:09You do need to cover you do need to play carefully

01:12And yeah, it's it's quite tougher than the light zone

01:15So just bear that in mind. It's about your play style more than your build

01:18This build though is very good. Highly recommend it

01:22Just been playing around with it. Uh, if you watch my stream yesterday

01:25I was using my tier 10 striker build with an mk46 frenzy

01:30That also worked very well

01:32And like I said in a group we had a healer with us as well and that was very beneficial

01:35But this build's real real good now prototype doesn't work in the dz

01:39I'm currently sat in the dz. You'll see everything's normalized

01:42So don't worry about it being prototype gear doesn't need to be prototype gear

01:46I've got on this build four echo two paradox which I don't think comes into affected PVDZ either

01:53So don't let the prototype fall you a normal build will be fine

01:57Uh pestilence as the main weapon here

01:59I've got a stack broker as the secondary with back and forth on it

02:04So I can maybe start an encounter off with that

02:07Sometimes just for the damage and switch to the pestilence have a little bit more damage output at the start

02:12of encounters

02:12But you want to keep the pestilence in your hand for most of the encounter of how it works

02:16Quick step is the sidearm's gonna round quick and I've got two lengmo

02:20I've got two royal works

02:21I've got the contractor's gloves and i've got the fox's prayer as well on the build

02:25Crits all over where I can

02:27Uh the stats on the build is if you have a look at the crit chance of crit damage

02:33It's 40% crit chance 141 crit damage in the PVDZ

02:37Uh and yeah the backbone is what i'm using for the backpack

02:41So i've gone with perfectly unstoppable force

02:43You could go with vigilance on this if you wanted to

02:46But like I said we're not spending too much time on the build

02:48Make sure you use a revive hive to get you up if you go down a decoy is very helpful

02:52as well

02:53It's not so much about the build it's how you play

02:56So how do we solo this event?

02:59I did a video earlier explaining how all the stacks of the event work

03:03So this isn't really an event guide for you

03:05But i'm going to explain a few bits of how it works now though

03:08So in the PVDZ you're going to have phoebe

03:12Which is a marauder that you want to spawn in to kill

03:15Phoebe is going to drop you two

03:17Well potentially drop you two more brand new exotics

03:21The brand new exotics are a backpack

03:23Which is called the saru

03:26So you're looking for this comes with decoy king

03:29And then the weapon is a new gr9 exotic

03:32Which is called the

03:34Oh have i put this in my stash

03:38Oh no it's there vertigo

03:39So you're looking for the vertigo as well

03:42It's a new exotic gr9

03:44Which comes with startling

03:45Now these are the two exotics that can drop off the phoebe marauder

03:50And along with loads of other stuff

03:52It's dropping tons of stuff tons of exotics tons of named items

03:55And you're going to want to farm it

03:56Now how phoebe works is phoebe will come as an open world event in the PVDZ

04:01And when it spawns you'll be working with the whole server to take it down

04:05Anybody who takes part in that will get some loot off of her

04:08And i think it's an hour cooldown phoebe

04:11So every hour she'll naturally spawn

04:13However you can reduce it as a group in the dark zone

04:18By 20% every landmark that you do

04:20So you want to go around landmarks to reduce that by 20%

04:24And once you've done enough landmarks phoebe will just spawn again

04:27So that's the gameplay loop of phoebe the marauder

04:29Clear landmarks

04:31The event will pop up

04:33Clear the event

04:34Now that's easier said than done

04:35Because phoebe comes with a lot of warhounds

04:37They're quite annoying so you do need to play smart

04:39But that's essentially it

04:40And then there's one more item that you're going to be looking for

04:43Under the apparel

04:44I'm currently wearing it

04:45It's the crimson moon recruiter mask

04:47This is off of the hunter and the PVDZ

04:51So to get a hold of that

04:52What you want to do is you want to extract

04:56So hit extractions

04:57Hunters will come in

04:58And you've got a chance of the crimson moon hunter spawning

05:02And if it does and you kill it

05:03It drops a mask

05:04You need to pick up the mask

05:05And you need to extract the mask

05:07If you don't extract the mask

05:08You've got to do it again until you pick it up and extract it

05:10Pretty cool

05:11That's how you get the mask

05:12So you want to do that at some point as well

05:14And if you haven't done the PVDZ before

05:16Well if you go into your resources

05:19You'll notice you have a stabilisation agent

05:21As long as you've got one of those

05:23You can call in an extraction

05:24You're going to find them by doing landmarks

05:26They might drop off bosses

05:27They might drop from chests

05:28More often than not chests

05:30So open DZ chests to try and get them

05:32Now I've been stood here quite a bit

05:34And we've still not got a phoebe spawn in yet

05:37So what I'm going to do is go and do some gameplay

05:39While giving you some tips of how to play this solo

05:41And you can see me do this solo and in action

05:44So first thing I do if I'm playing solo

05:47I'm going to try and hook up with another group

05:49Now so many people when I say this

05:51Have a go at me

05:52And they're like well that's not playing solo

05:54Well I am playing solo

05:55I'm just being smart about it

05:57You've got to be smart about it

05:58So I can see there's a group at this extraction

06:00So what I'm going to do is I'm going to run over to that extraction

06:03And see if we can hook up with someone

06:04Because if we can

06:06It makes it so much easier

06:07Just because you're playing solo

06:09Doesn't actually mean you have to play solo

06:12Now look on the left hand side of my screen

06:14We're on that alert level 3

06:16If you understand the PVDZ

06:18You know that alert level 3 means things are going to be beefed up a little bit

06:23The higher the alert the harder it's going to be

06:25Because that's the amount of people that are in the dark zone

06:28So we've got a lot of people in the dark zone

06:30It's going to be a higher alert

06:31Which means I'm probably going to be able to find some more people

06:34That's my thought process here

06:36So if we run to this extraction

06:37We might find some more people

06:39Now lots of people will just farm extractions

06:42Because they're looking for exotic components and stuff

06:44And that is great

06:44But as we know

06:45Phoebe will spawn quicker if we're doing landmarks

06:49So we kind of want to find people that are doing landmarks instead

06:54I just come over to the extraction

06:56Can't really see anybody around here

06:58So they must have extracted and got off

07:01But the closest destination from here

07:06Potentially they could have ran up to that landmark

07:09We're going to have a look at landmarks now

07:11And we'll run around landmarks instead and see what we've got

07:13Now because I'm solo

07:14I'm going to go and hit this normal landmark

07:18Because this will be a lot easier than heroic landmark

07:21So that's another thing you've got to bear in mind

07:23When you are hitting landmarks

07:24Look at the difficulty of them

07:26If you're going to run into a heroic landmark solo

07:29Be ready for it

07:30Because you're going to have to fight off four waves of heroic enemies

07:34If you want to get to grips with it

07:36And just see how the build feels

07:38And have a little bit of a practice

07:39Choose a normal landmark

07:41Because at a normal landmark

07:42You're still going to have hard enemies there

07:44I think it's all kind of like heroic enemies

07:46However

07:47You're going to have one wave

07:49On normal

07:50It's as simple as that

07:51One wave normal

07:52I think it's two waves on a hard landmark

07:55Three waves on a challenging landmark

07:57And then four waves on a heroic landmark

07:59So we're just going to run to this landmark

08:01And clear it

08:02That will then

08:03It doesn't matter what landmark it is

08:05I don't think

08:05With

08:06In regards to reducing the timer on Phoebe

08:10I think any landmark will do

08:11But essentially what we're also doing

08:13While we're covering landmarks here

08:15Is we're also looking for other players

08:16That we can follow

08:17And potentially join

08:18Because like I was saying a few moments ago

08:22There's nothing wrong

08:23With joining another squad

08:25Playing solo

08:26You're still playing solo

08:28You're just being smart about it

08:32Especially when Phoebe comes

08:33Like you're going to want to work as a team

08:35To take out that marauder regardless

08:37You know

08:38You're going to want other people

08:39To kind of like

08:40Link up with you

08:41And try and take that marauder down

08:43That's essentially what you're trying to do

08:45As you go through the DZ

08:46Is just do the same with landmarks as well

08:48Or extractions

08:53Extractions can be a little bit more difficult

08:55The more people

08:56Because the more people on the extraction

08:58The more hunters that will spawn in

09:00But like I said

09:01You can see how I'm playing here

09:02I'm not just rushing and face tanking

09:04I'm taking cover

09:05I'm throwing my decoy out

09:06I'm letting my pestilent ticks do the work

09:09Those pestilent ticks are insane

09:11They go over 2 million

09:12I tested in the firing range

09:16And I think I forgot to cover the chest talent

09:19Before on the build

09:20I'm running glass cannon

09:21This pestilence build

09:23Is the best talent to run with the pestilence

09:25So you do want to be careful as well

09:27There's definitely no face tanking here

09:29I'm forced to play a little bit

09:31Defensive with the build

09:32But I will be more aggressive with the build

09:35I'm trying to show you how easy it can be right now

09:37If you just take your time

09:42There we go

09:42Landmark clear

09:43I didn't even move out of the one cover

09:45So we'll go and pick up some loot

09:47And we're going to keep an eye on the map at all times

09:51Because obviously after each landmark

09:53We're reducing that Phoebe timer

09:55She's still not spawned in yet

09:57But she will soon hopefully

09:58Now military camp is challenging

10:01Oh I've got a challenging one over there

10:03Stockpile

10:04Now there was some landmarks down here

10:06That tells me there's a team there

10:08We're going to head over to Stockpile

10:10As we go over there

10:11We'll see if they call an extraction or anything

10:13Because at this point

10:14We really want to get ready for Phoebe

10:17And hopefully

10:18We can bump into some players

10:20Now

10:21When you bump into the players

10:22You don't need to invite them to your group

10:24Or anything like that

10:26You can just follow them

10:27Just follow them and stick with them

10:28I would recommend inviting them to your group

10:31Especially if you see like a couple running around

10:33It might be that they're a duo

10:36It might be there's a couple of solos

10:38All running around together

10:39It just makes sense to link up

10:41So you're all in the same group

10:42You don't need to talk to each other or anything

10:44You'll know what you're doing

10:45And why you're in here

10:47But yeah

10:48Let's try and find some players

10:50It just makes it a lot easier

10:51Rather than running around solo

10:53And you've got more chances

10:53Then someone's going to pick you up

10:55If you go down

10:55And you don't have your hive or something

10:58And the beauty about joining up

11:00And linking up in a squad

11:02Is that you'll see them on the map

11:03And know where they are at all times

11:07Let's get these done

11:18Ain't a little bit aggressive here

11:20Oh, missed that dog on the side

11:21Need to be careful of that

11:27There we go

11:30Check of the map

11:31No extraction going off

11:38Just remember

11:39I didn't speak about the stacking

11:41Of the PVDZ

11:42Because like I said

11:43We already covered a guide for this

11:44But on the left hand side of the screen

11:46You can see the red bar charging up

11:49As that gets to max

11:51It actually gives you quite a lot of buffs

11:54But also debuffs

11:55It makes the enemies harder as well

11:57So bear that in mind

11:58Make sure you're using cover

12:00Because you're going to need to

12:02I've got 234 stacks right now

12:05But you do need to respect those stacks

12:06And know what they do

12:07Again, it's on the map

12:08If you have a read through it

12:09It'll tell you what it does

12:10But essentially you take a lot more damage

12:12But you can do a lot more damage too

12:14And we've just found a group

12:16So we've got unlucky wolfie

12:19Which is perfect

12:19We hunted them down

12:22And there's two of them

12:23So there's two people here

12:24So what I might do here

12:25Is I might run up to them

12:26And do something like

12:28You know, can you

12:30Who was their name?

12:31So that was

12:33Assassin

12:33We might try and like invite them to a group

12:35They could be as a duo

12:36But we're definitely going to stick with them

12:38100% going to stick with them now

12:39There's actually three of them

12:42So we're in a good spot right now

12:44Four of them

12:45Loads of us now

12:46This is what you want

12:47This is what you're hunting

12:49Because they're going to be clearing landmarks

12:51Hopefully

12:51They're going to be getting extractions

12:53I think they're actually running to an extraction now

12:56Maybe

12:58But just stick with them

12:59It makes it so much easier

13:00They'll probably do all the work for you

13:02If they know what they're doing

13:04You know

13:04Get lucky

13:06They'll be killing loads of enemies

13:08And just work as a group

13:10I'm still playing solo

13:11Because I know everybody always says

13:14When I recommend this piece of advice

13:16About looking for like a team or whatnot

13:19Oh, it says a how to solo guide

13:21And the first thing you do

13:22Is go and find people to play with

13:23Yeah, but I'm still solo

13:25You know

13:26I am still playing solo

13:27I'm sat here solo doing this

13:28This is an extraction

13:30So this is a chance to get the mask

13:32We're going to be very careful at extractions

13:34Okay

13:35We want to sit back

13:36And make sure all the hunters are in front of us

13:38Like this

13:39We do not want to let anything get around us

13:43Look how easy this is going to be

13:45Because I'm working with this squad

13:48It couldn't be easier

13:50Like we're working as a team

13:51We've got loads of people

13:52I'm well out the way

13:54I'm looking at the radar

13:55I'm making sure every single enemy is in front of me

13:59Just like that

14:00We've cleared the extraction

14:01Now if we add the red moon hunter there

14:03I have already got my mask

14:06I just wait for the ribs to come in

14:08And put it on

14:09And we're going to continue this on

14:10I know this is a bit of a long video

14:12But I want to give you full gameplay here

14:13Because lots of people say in the comments

14:16This is impossible solo

14:18And it really isn't if you play smart

14:20It really isn't if you play smart

14:22You just need a very decent DPS build

14:25You just need to play smart

14:27Like I've been giving you tips in this video

14:29And you'll be able to extract as easy as I am

14:31But the big question now

14:33Is can I take on the Marauder solo

14:36To attach this loot

14:38The answer is yes I can

14:39We will do

14:41We'll be fine

14:41Because we're going to play with the same principles

14:43We're going to take our time

14:44We're going to position ourselves well

14:45And we're going to try and stick with these guys

14:47Who I assume

14:49We all want to take on the Marauder

14:51And get our Marauder loot

14:52So

14:53We'll try and stick with these

14:56Like ideally it'd be great

14:58If one of them invited me to the party

14:59So we couldn't lose them

15:00They do look like they are a 4 though

15:05They might be a 4

15:07So yeah

15:07Sometimes people will

15:08You can like press C on them

15:10Don't know what is on controller

15:11I can press C

15:12I can like invite them to my group

15:14And things like that

15:16So you're in a subgroup then

15:19Or they can invite you

15:20And then you can just see each other on the map

15:22It'll be less likely to lose them

15:23If you do that

15:25Still playing solo

15:26If you do that as well

15:27By the way

15:28It just makes sense to do it

15:30And we'll probably edit the video

15:31At this point

15:32And just wait for the Marauder to come in

15:34And show you how that looks like

15:35And there we go

15:37She's appeared

15:38Phoebe

15:39We're still at the same group

15:40We just did some more extractions

15:42And I assume everybody's going to head over to Phoebe now

15:45So that's what we're going to do

15:47We're going to head over to her

15:48We're going to be very careful

15:50Like we've already spoke about in this video

15:51And we're going to try not to die

15:53Now Phoebe is a nightmare

15:55Here she is

15:56She's not going to be easy

15:57You're going to want to make sure you've got some good cover

15:59Around things for when she starts attacking you

16:02And you're going to want to watch the Warhounds

16:04The Warhounds are probably the hardest part

16:06Now how Phoebe works

16:08Is you'll notice the four bubbles on Phoebe

16:10Around the weak spots

16:12Basically once one of the bubbles removes

16:15From one of the propellers

16:16You want to shoot it

16:17That's how it works

16:18And you'll be able to destroy it

16:19Once you've destroyed one of the weak points

16:21You can do damage

16:22The more weak points you destroy

16:23The more damage you do

16:24So let's look at those bubbles

16:26You can see two on the left

16:27Just one on the right now

16:28So I'm going to focus on the right weak point

16:30I guess it's the back one

16:32It's quite hard to shoot from here

16:34But I think it'll be the back one we can get

16:36Oh no

16:37There you go

16:38They'll keep on rotating

16:39They won't always stay the same

16:41So it's that front left one

16:42Now that we can destroy a thing

16:45There you go

16:46Much easier to see

16:46Now she's closer

16:47So I'm going to aim for that front left weak point

16:52And now it's switched again

16:53So we need to find

16:54It's the back right one

16:55Now that we need to aim for

16:58And notice I'm keeping cover around this truck

17:01I've got a nice little bit of cover

17:03I'm taking my time

17:06Okay they've swapped again

17:07It's a front right one now

17:09We are doing damage though

17:10Which is good

17:11So one must have been destroyed

17:13Or we're doing damage through the weak point

17:18It's not easy

17:19It's got to be careful of those warhounds

17:21Now I like to try and find a position

17:23Where the warhounds are bothering me

17:26If I see the warhounds

17:28I'll try and get out of their way

17:30Because they keep on respawning

17:32So if you keep on killing the warhounds

17:34They're going to come back out anyway

17:36So it's best just to kind of ignore them

17:38And get out of their way

17:39If you can be out of the warhounds way

17:42The better

17:43All you're going to do is worry about Phoebe

17:45You don't need to worry about any of the warhounds

17:55I don't think we've actually destroyed a weak spot yet

17:57But we must be doing good damage

17:59Through shooting a weak spot

18:01She's come down quite a lot

18:02But she's still immune

18:03You can see the warhounds on the right down there

18:06Notice that we're kind of ignoring them

18:08But I'm keeping one eye on them

18:09Because if they get close

18:10They're going to become a big nuisance

18:13I've got a decoy on

18:15So I'm going to throw my decoy out

18:16Let's try and take some aggro

18:19And there we go

18:20We destroyed a weak spot now

18:21So we'll get more damage on the marauder now

18:27We will try and destroy some more weak spots

18:30If we can though

18:32Because we'll do even more damage

18:38Nice little spot here

18:40This spot's quite perfect

18:42And because I'm working with people

18:43But you should always be working with people on these

18:46Like if there's anyone in the dark zone

18:48When BB spawns in

18:50And they should be going for it

18:52They want the loot

18:53I think it'd be very rare

18:55That you're taking on this marauder solo

18:57You know

18:57Here's one of the warhounds to our left there

19:00You can see that it's causing grief

19:03It might be that you have to deal with some warhounds

19:06Or reposition

19:07So that's what I'm going to do now

19:08I'm going to choose to reposition

19:10Because those warhounds are getting quite close

19:12I'm going to reposition somewhere nice though

19:14Like here

19:15Where I've still got nice cover on this truck

19:23And the marauder tries to go above the building

19:26That's not ideal

19:28We kind of need her to come back

19:31Phoebe where are you going?

19:36I think there might be some enemies down there

19:38Or something

19:39Some other players maybe

19:40I don't know

19:41But she's coming back

19:42She's coming back

19:47This isn't a bad spot up here either

19:50Doesn't matter where you're positioned

19:51When Phoebe dies

19:53Because the loot will just drop at your location

19:56And here you can see we've got a capacitor

20:01We've got another capacitor

20:02I think I've seen capacitor tons

20:05We've got some named items as well

20:07Emperor's guard

20:08Knee pads with crit chance on

20:10Devil's Jew backpack

20:11All these items go straight into your inventory

20:14You do not need to extract these

20:16That's an important call to make

20:17You'll notice we're bringing the inventory up now

20:20Two capacitors already in there

20:22And get the exotic components right away

20:23So anything off Phoebe

20:25You do not need to extract

20:27Anything off the hunters

20:28And the red moon hunter

20:29You do need to extract

20:30Including the mask

20:31Good job there at extraction points though

20:34Once you do kill the extraction

20:35We'll see if we can get one now

20:37On this extraction

20:37But once you kill it

20:39You can just pick up your rewards

20:40And get it straight out

20:41Including the mask

20:42I think it's a 25% chance

20:45They said about the red moon hunter spawning

20:49I think that's what they said

20:50So every single time

20:52You call one of these in

20:53You do have a 25% chance

20:55Of that hunter spawning in

20:57I don't see it this time now

20:59We've actually ran out of ammo

21:01We might want to hit an ammo restock

21:03So yeah

21:04So bear that in mind

21:05You'll know when it's the red moon hunter

21:08Because it's a named hunter

21:09And I think it says

21:11Red moon recruiter

21:13Is the recruiter that's come back

21:14I think it's red moon recruiter

21:16That it's called

21:17So when you see that name

21:18You know if you kill that hunter

21:20You're going to get a prototype item

21:22As well

21:23With the brand new

21:25Red moon hunter mask

21:28I hate it when there's loads of people

21:30This is the one downside

21:31About running with loads of different people

21:32I press C to dismantle my loot

21:34And I just keep on bringing up

21:36The player menu all the time

21:39That's short

21:40I think that's an extraction

21:41I think this ammo recreates on extractions

21:45But we're done here

21:46I think that's all the tips I've got

21:47For playing solo in this event

21:49I just started recording

21:51Well we did this first try

21:53There's no failed attempts or anything

21:54Literally just throw this build together

21:56Because Baldur's been mentioning this build

21:58For the PVDZ quite recently

21:59So I thought I'd give it a go

22:00Works very very well

22:02Real good build to use

22:03But the PVDZ is not so much about build

22:06It's about your play style

22:07And making wise decisions

22:08It is tougher content

22:10The devs aimed for this to be tougher content

22:12So you do need to be clever

22:15With how you play

22:16And that's the best advice

22:17I can give any solo player for this event

22:19Be clever

22:21Be well positioned

22:22Have a good plan

22:23And just because you're playing solo

22:25Doesn't mean you have to go solo

22:28I know how crazy that sounds to people

22:30But there's lots of people running around in this DC

22:33And if you're gonna avoid them

22:35And not link up with them

22:36Well you're making it a lot harder for yourself

22:38And you need to

22:39Search those players out

22:41Stick with those players

22:42Work together

22:42You're still playing solo

22:44You're just being smart
