00:00Today in stream I got asked what is the best way to form printer filament on a division 2

00:05and the reason for this is because the proficiency xp event we've done a couple of videos on this

00:09already and I've advised you to use as much printer filament as you can to spend in your

00:14expertise because right now it's going to be times three the value so what we're doing here

00:19is we're going to into our expertise menu we're going to expertise we're going through anything

00:24here that needs to be made proficient and when we do that it's worth times three the value in

00:29you donate printer filament so it's a great resource to farm because it's the most efficient

00:34way of doing it when you're donating material so you just want a lot of printer filament so what

00:37are the best ways of doing it it was a good discussion I don't really have the answer so

00:42what I want to do is make a video and test three things out that we know are great ways

00:46of farming

00:47it so we're going to we're going to do that now and we'll see what works best now one of

00:52the common

00:52ways of farming printer filaments is targeted loot on countdown we've got countdown and we've also got

00:58retaliation so if we go over to the countdown menu and go to set our targeted loot up we can

01:03set this

01:04up as mods now you can go gear system mods or you can go skill attachments it doesn't really matter

01:09I'm

01:09going to go gear system mods in this instance because there's a chance of getting a max mod that

01:13I'm actually wants as well and we'll target that we're then going to have a game of countdown see how

01:18many mods we get and see how many printer filament we get at the end by dismantling all of them

01:22in that one run of countdown I got 31 mods so when we dismantle these that's going to be six

01:28printer filaments per mod so we're going to dismantle them now and see the total for the one run

01:33was 186 printer filament that's not too bad that's about a 15 minute run I'm going to say but obviously

01:42with countdown it's not always going to be the same it's RNG based with what drops that you get

01:47but we'll just say 186 and sort of average give or take it might be lower sometimes it could be

01:52higher sometimes that's per 15 minutes now countdown is very easy to do as well you can

01:58matchmake with eight players it's not too difficult at all on challenging you can pretty much run

02:02whatever build you want it's a very nice and casual farm but retaliation also offers targeted loot so

02:09we head to the retaliation menu and if we select targeted loot we could do exactly the same again we

02:14can select gear system mods do a run of retaliation and pick up all the mods and see how many

02:19printer

02:20filament we get and how long a retaliation takes on average so after one run of retaliation I got 24

02:27mods it is worth mentioning I played retaliation on heroic and I only had two control points to take over

02:33on that run if I had three or four control points I could have got more than 24 mods but

02:39if I'm playing

02:39on lower difficulty then it may not be as fruitful so there's a lot of variables that go into retaliation

02:44and how many kill squads spawn and things like that I had one on that run but with the 24

02:49mods that

02:49I got I'm able to dismantle them down into 144 printer filament it did take me a little bit quicker

02:56of a time to do retaliation than it did count down though and I feel like they're kind of on

03:01par after

03:02just one run each they're both going to vary depending on RNG and other factors but in general I'd say

03:09if

03:09you're trying to decide between countdown or retaliation go with what you want and I'd think

03:14more about what else can you grind while you are doing them because with countdown obviously you can

03:19grind the mods and look for max rolls if you get some max rolls on your mods and fantastic you

03:24can keep

03:24them like I don't know 13% PFE mod say but with retaliation what you can also farm on retaliation

03:31is

03:32the blueprints so if you're looking for exotic blueprints you can farm different factions and you're also able to

03:39pick up exotic blueprints off the different factions if you're still grinding for them so then it kind of

03:43becomes like a multi-farm you're getting your printer filament and you're also working on your

03:47exotics whereas countdown you're basically just playing for chill and you're getting the printer

03:51filaments with a chance of some good mods as well but countdown is probably far easier to do than heroic

03:57retaliation so it's really up to you I'd say based off those two runs however there is a third option

04:03now in stream today when I got asked this question what they asked was

04:06is it worth farming countdown retaliation over national bond armory where you can get one level

04:12every single completion and you can complete it very quickly now the reason they're asking that

04:17is because printer filament if you go to your watch and go to scavenging long as you're over 1000 watch

04:22level every single watch level is going to turn into a scavenging point and one scavenging point is

04:27going to give you 45 printer filament so if you can level up very very quickly for every level you'll

04:33get

04:3345 printer filament so thinking of national bond armory if you have access to that this could

04:39actually be a very good play because when you get this down you can probably complete it in three to

04:44four minutes so if you judge the time of countdown and retaliation countdown is about a 15 minute run

04:51retaliation takes me up to about 10 minutes across three national bond armories I could have about

04:59135 printer filament but again thinking about how else I can kind of like tailor my grind not just for

05:05printer filaments if I'm playing national bond armory over and over what I can also do is work on my

05:11prototype builds and leveling them up as well because it's a great mission where at the end it gives me

05:16time to change my build to then get the xp on the build and guns that I want to try

05:20and level up

05:21augments so that sounds like for me a very very good farm but what we're going to go and test

05:26that

05:26now that's what we're going to do now to actually have national bond armory you do need to go into

05:32your store and you need to own the year one add-on the year one add-on will come with

05:39all of the

05:40original eight classified assignments it's this one here the divisions two's year one bundle comes with

05:46eight narrative missions classified assignments to fall of dc now if you own that you'll have access

05:51to national bond armory which is just up here on the map and you're able to replay this

05:56over and over again now this is a great xp farm and it's even better when there's like a times

06:02three xp event on or times five xp event on what you're going to want to do is set it

06:07on heroic and

06:08you're also going to set on all of the directives this is going to be important because this is going

06:13to up your xp by 125 percent and with that you should get a level every single run and it's

06:22so short

06:22you can see i'm getting over 1 million xp there with all directives on i believe it's 700 000 per

06:28level so actually getting more than a level's worth so if we keep on going over and over there'll be

06:34there'll be some runs we actually get two levels for a run depending on how many you do so we're

06:40going to do it this now we're going to go and earn those for uh 45 printer filament from one

06:45run

06:45and i'm going to show you what i mean about also working on your prototype build right now i'm working

06:49on this blue striker build that i made i'm currently up to augment level eight i've got a level needed

06:55this is going to be very nice uh but i want to show you a little trick at the end

06:58of this mission if

06:59you're working on different builds because some builds you might think well i'm not going to get

07:02through this mission with that build but what you want to do is put on a build that you're comfortable

07:05with start the mission and before you finish the mission you can change to whatever build that you

07:10want i'm going to show you how easy this mission is and how quick you can get through this mission

07:15now i am a little bit rusty i'm not going to be super super quick but it doesn't take long

07:21at all

07:21and i think we've got the pistol one on which means we're gonna have to start with a pistol get

07:26some

07:26kills to get some ammo but this build is going to make this mission very very easy so the first

07:34area

07:35we just run in here and kill a few adds

07:39hopefully drop us some ammo there we go now we got our backfire

07:46if you've got a nice blue striker build like this it makes it very very easy to do

07:54uh i seem to have lost some adzo there we go i hate not having a radar

08:09there you go there's the

08:19these are our last enemies then we'll go to the next area

08:26there we go

08:30this whole mission is just like three areas long

08:55so this second area we also just need to take out

09:01um these stockpiles i never know where you're going to shoot on these

09:08that worked

09:22stockpiles are harder than the mission itself

09:32uh

09:43so

09:55see how easy it is with this build as well this is a quantum blue striker build so not only

10:01is

10:01it blue striker i've got quantum everywhere so i have like damage immunity and you're practically

10:06invincible makes a lot of content easy that's two areas down we're about two to three minutes into

10:12this mission now we are going a little bit slow like i said when you when you get it down

10:17you can

10:17run through this very very quickly people say to get through this in like three minutes so it's a

10:22super quick mission we're into the last area now this is where we get the boss and where we can

10:26complete the mission

10:43active terminal detected

10:59you just lost someone

11:22i think that is it so that took us about four to five minutes you'll speed up if you keep

11:28on going

11:29over and over but what's so good about this farm you're only going to get 45 printer filament for

11:34that obviously when you complete the mission you get the xp you'll be able to invest in your watch

11:38and gain 45 printer filament now the best thing about it don't need to worry about picking up blue

11:42but at this point here before we run back to the start of mission this is where we can select

11:46our

11:46build now if i want to level up my blue striker build i can level up this i could switch

11:50to another

11:50build i want to level up that you can switch to whatever prototype build you're currently working

11:55on on organs for and you can level the build up while you're farming even if it's just swapping

12:01your weapons so for example here i got my stack broker at level one how i'll do is i'll make

12:05sure

12:05i find my stack broker on before i finish the mission so my blue striker build is going to get

12:10the xp it for completing this mission uh you're not in combat you're free to change anything you

12:14want you just run back to the start of the mission here this is where i'll give you the mission

12:17completion reward and your xp and your watch level it's at this point you are rewarded for your

12:23augments so that's a very good farm if you're looking for printer filaments and also leveling

12:28up prototype builds each farm that i've explained in this video has its advantages and disadvantages

12:34another big disadvantage to retaliation is although that on some retaliations you probably get a lot

12:40more than countdown you will without retaliations and you do need to charge them back up to then be

12:45able to do them again if i'm going to pick the absolute fastest farm for printer filament this week

12:51it's going to be countdown without a doubt uh the only thing here that could be a downside for

12:57you is the fact that if you can't matchmake you're going to be waiting a while to matchmake but so

13:01easy somehow what build you're running and you're probably going to pick up the most printer filament

13:06by running countdown over and over and over above retaliation and above national bond armory

13:13but they for me are the three fastest ways of getting printer filament and it heavily depends on

13:17what else you really want to grind with it as already mentioned if you still need exotic blueprints

13:22if you want to farm some augment levels as well there might be some better options and countdown

13:26but if your pure focus is printer filament just so you can invest it into your expertise and you just

13:31want as much printer filament as possible my advice is going to be go countdown i hope this video has
