00:00Tangier has come alive with his annual Art Trail inviting visitors to discover the city through exhibitions, music, dance and

00:08The sixth edition of the event titled Being Here brought together artists at seven venues along Liberty Street,
00:15including the abandoned Liberty Hotel, built in the early 20th century and closed since the 1940s.
00:22The best way to fight, at least to some extent, the horror we encounter in this world is to bring
00:28a sense of peace and love.
00:30Culture is a weapon for peace and the loving jazz is an invitation to reconnect with what we have inside
00:36and outside
00:36and with the notions of sharing and exchange as well as with the fragility of our beings like our cracks
00:44and our breaks.
00:49Among the artists taking part was Moroccan designer Sofia Alami who drew inspiration from the hotel's history and traditional henna
00:57designs.
00:58I presented a story inspired by a Moroccan tale in which a young girl wakes up with henna on her
01:05hands.
01:05In fact, I wanted to rework a tale in which the space are places that existed in Morocco that may
01:12have now become abandoned.
01:14And being in this hotel, which has been abandoned since the 1940s, inspired me a lot to think about what
01:20we can find,
01:21what kind of entities we can find in these spaces.
01:27The event has used around 30 locations and welcomed approximately 250 artists over recent editions,
01:35offering visitors a different way to experience Tangier and its cultural heritage.
01:46We worked on this theme of moving around in a much broader way, not only reduced to our three personal
01:53lives.
01:54Human beings have always been migrants and that this entails today politically, historically,
02:00and all these values that are really being violated today.
02:05The event is happening at a time when Morocco is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup in the 2030
02:10edition.
02:11The country is now bidding to improve its infrastructure and some of the attraction centers to bring more tourists.
02:18the people that do not onlyacks the past, dijirliate from the 50 to what is happening to Europe.
02:19The families of God are on the Moon who are making these plans more easily for several parties.
02:19And really, the parents that are soajevoers, who are the ones that work with us not to people as they
02:19expect from us to participate to the importance of dinnership,
