00:00You've probably already heard that a climate phenomenon is forming in the Pacific Ocean and could affect various parts of
00:08the world, including Brazil.
00:10The phenomenon is called El Niño, only this one could be different from the previous ones.
00:16The UN itself has warned that it could be among the strongest ever recorded since we started systematically monitoring the
00:23climate.
00:25And experts say the predicted intensity is something that most people alive today have never witnessed.
00:32And along with this concern, interpretations began to emerge, linking El Niño to end times prophecies.
00:39There are those who see in this phenomenon the first trumpet of revelation.
00:43Others say that the world has already entered one of the seals.
00:47But what does the Bible really say about this?
00:50Can science explain everything that is happening?
00:53Or is there a spiritual dimension we also need to pay attention to?
00:57In today's video I'm going to show you whether this El Niño could be the beginning of the judgments described
01:03in the book of Revelation.
01:05And there is a detail in the very text of the first trumpet, almost unnoticed, that can answer this question.
01:11But before that, subscribe to the channel because I want to help you in your walk with God every day,
01:17ok?
01:17So let's get into it.
01:20El Niño is a phenomenon that occurs in the Pacific Ocean and alters rain and temperature patterns in various parts
01:26of the world.
01:27When the winds that normally push warm water across the ocean weaken, that water begins to spread in another direction.
01:35And the rain follows, regions that usually receive a lot of water can face droughts, while others start to suffer
01:42from heavy rains and floods.
01:44That's where the name El Niño came from.
01:48Centuries ago, fishermen in Peru noticed that this warm water usually appeared around Christmas and started calling it the boy.
01:57Jesus, the problem is when this phenomenon gets too strong.
02:02And there is an example in history that shows the scale of destruction this can cause.
02:09In 1877, a very intense El Niño altered the weather across several parts of the world.
02:15India, China and Australia faced severe droughts, while other regions suffered from flooding.
02:22Famine and disease spread, and millions of people died.
02:25Brazil also suffered.
02:28In the Northeast, a devastating drought forced thousands of people to abandon the Sertau in search of food and water.
02:36The city of Fortaleza was overwhelmed by refugees, and famine and disease spread.
02:41And then, smallpox arrived.
02:43That is why a forecast of 3 or 4 degrees above normal draws so much attention.
02:51And El Niño of this intensity would be entering a range that history has already shown to be capable of
02:56producing very severe consequences.
02:58And that's why some people are beginning to connect these events to Chapter 8 of Revelation.
03:05When the first angel sounds his trumpet, John describes hail and fire, mixed with blood falling on the earth.
03:13Then, it says that a third of the trees were burned up, along with all the green grass.
03:20Meanwhile, in southern Brazil, stationary cold fronts have caused severe hailstorms.
03:27On the other hand, El Niño contributed to making the forest drier, fueling major fires.
03:34The smoke even crossed the sea, and earlier this month, a Malaysian city woke up with one of the worst
03:41air quality levels on the planet.
03:43On one side, hail. On the other, fire.
03:47And in the middle of it, trees being destroyed and vegetation disappearing.
03:52Other signs appear in Chapter 6.
03:55During the third seal, a black horse appears.
03:58And a voice announces that a whole day's work would be enough to buy food for just one person for
04:04a day.
04:05The image is one of famine and scarcity.
04:08And the signs of scarcity also appear in the real world.
04:12Recently, two of the largest UN food agencies jointly requested hundreds of millions of dollars to protect millions of people
04:20in dozens of countries from the effects of El Niño.
04:24Which is in...
04:25Thailand? What is that?
04:27And in Thailand, rice planting was already delayed.
04:31Lack of rain.
04:33And these countries are among Asia's major rice suppliers.
04:37There is also a passage that talks about the sun.
04:39It is not among the seals.
04:41But in Chapter 16, an angel pours out a bowl on the sun.
04:45And the sun is given power to scorch people with fire.
04:49Meanwhile, the surface temperature of the planet's oceans continues to break records, reaching its highest level ever recorded in August
04:57and killing people in Europe.
04:59The Prophet Jeremiah in Chapter 30 Verse 7 spoke of a day so great that none would be like it,
05:06and called that period the time of Jacob's trouble.
05:10When scientists say that this El Niño could be stronger than any other on record and that no one alive
05:15has seen anything like it, the description ends up echoing the Prophet's words.
05:20But could this El Niño already be the beginning of Jacob's trouble?
05:23The Book of Revelation presents an order that must be taken into account.
05:27In Chapter 5, John sees a book with seven seals in the hand of God.
05:33No one in heaven or on earth can open it, except the Lamb, who is Jesus.
05:38The judgments begin when these seals are opened, in Chapter 6.
05:42And the trumpets only appear after the opening of the seventh seal.
05:46And the bowls, including the one that affects the sun, appear even later, in Chapter 16.
05:52This means that for the first trumpet to sound, the seven seals must have already been opened, and even before
05:58the first seal, the Bible describes other events.
06:01Paul speaks in 2 Thessalonians, Chapter 2, about the revelation of the man of sin, whom many call the Antichrist.
06:11Daniel also speaks in Chapter 9, of a seven year covenant.
06:16And in this interpretation, the rapture of the church happens before all of this.
06:20So none of these things have happened yet.
06:23And there are some important differences.
06:25Between the prophecies, and this phenomenon, it speaks of a third of the trees, and all the green grass being
06:31burned up at the same time, all over the earth.
06:33El Niño doesn't work like that. It happens in isolated places in different ways.
06:39Besides, the 1877-7 El Niño was linked to a crisis that killed millions of people in various parts of
06:48the world.
06:49But the fourth seal speaks of power over a quarter of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine,
06:55with plague, and with the beasts of the earth.
06:57It's on a much larger scale, and this will still be happening during the seals.
07:01The trumpets come after that.
07:04As for the time of Jacob's trouble, proclaimed by the prophet Jeremiah, it also points to a much longer and
07:10more extreme period.
07:11The prophecy speaks of the Great Tribulation, a period of great distress for Israel and for the world, associated with
07:18the rule of the Antichrist.
07:19Jesus spoke about this very period in Matthew 24, and said that unless those days were shortened, no one would
07:27survive.
07:28Yeah, El Niño, no matter how strong it gets, has a limited duration.
07:34Afterwards, the rains return, the land can be planted again, and life goes on.
07:38But that doesn't mean the Bible has nothing to say about what is happening.
07:43When Adam sinned, God said that the ground would be cursed because of him, and that it would yield thorns.
07:50So creation was also affected by human sin.
07:53Centuries later, the apostle Paul explains what happened to it since then.
07:58Look at what is written.
08:00For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.
08:06That is exactly how Jesus spoke in Matthew 24, when he described famines, earthquakes, and other events that would strike
08:14different places.
08:16He said that these things would be the beginning of birth pains.
08:18Anyone who has had a child knows how it works.
08:22A contraction comes, subsides, and then returns stronger, and in less time.
08:27The super El Niño would be like one of those contractions.
08:30The truth is that there will always be someone saying that all of this has a natural explanation, and it
08:36really does.
08:37But Revelation also describes a time when the sun will scorch people with fire.
08:42And even in the face of this, they will know that it comes from God.
08:47Still, they will blaspheme him, and refuse to repent.
08:51The problem will no longer be understanding what is happening, it will be a heart that does not want to
08:56turn to God.
08:58Revelation 16 describes the last seven bowls of God's wrath, and at that moment an angel declares that God is
09:05righteous in his judgment.
09:06After the bowls, Jesus returns, evil is defeated, and John sees a new heaven and a new earth.
09:13Then, he hears God say that he will make all things new.
09:17That is why, more important than finding out which trumpet the world might be in,
09:21is knowing what the Bible says about who will stand before God when all this happens.
09:25The same Bible that speaks about judgment, also shows salvation.
09:31Jesus took upon himself the judgment that was ours, and those who are in him are not destined for wrath,
09:38but for salvation.
09:39And before this new earth, the Bible speaks of a thousand year period in which Jesus will reign here on
09:44earth.
09:45The prophet Isaiah says that in that time, the desert will blossom, and waters will gush forth in dry places.
09:52The very land that today can be cracked by drought, as happened in Sierra in 1877, will be transformed.
10:00I made the video explaining what these thousand years with Jesus on earth will be like.
10:05And it's right here on the screen, watch it right after this one.
