There was still no sign of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his Jalan Langgak Duta residence in Kuala Lumpur as media personnel began leaving the area at around 7pm on Friday (Sept 18).

As of press time, Najib’s return remains unclear.

00:05at his Jalan Langagduta residence in Kuala Lumpur
00:08as media personnel began leaving the area at around 7 p.m. on Friday.
00:14It remains unclear whether Najib will return to the residence.
00:19Checks at the residence found local and international media personnel
00:23who had gathered as early as 10 a.m. to cover developments
00:27surrounding the former Prime Minister's royal pardon,
00:31gradually leaving the area.
00:33While police personnel were stationed at the location to maintain security,
00:37there was no movement in or out of the building.
00:40According to a source, Najib's eldest son, Datuk Mohamed Nizar,
00:45said that family members would not be present at the Jalan Langagduta residence.
00:51Earlier, Najib was granted a conditional pardon
00:54allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest
00:58until August 23, 2028, subject to a 50 million ringgit fine.
01:04The decision was made at the 64th meeting of the Pardons Board
01:08for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya on Friday,
01:13which was chaired by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia.
