00:11Attorney General Tan Sri Mohammad Dusuki Mokhtar said Najib had yet to pay the 50 million
00:17ringgit fine which must be paid at the Kuala Lumpur High Court Registrar's Office as the
00:23case was filed and heard there.
00:25He said that even after the payment was made he could not confirm when Najib would be
00:30brought home as the process could take some time.
00:33Dusuki added that the standard operating procedures for implementing the house arrest arrangement
00:39would be issued by the prisons department.
00:4273-year-old Najib has been serving his sentence at Kajang Prison since August 23, 2022 following
00:50his conviction for misappropriating 42 million ringgit belonging to SRC International Sendirian
00:57Barhad.
00:58On September 18, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim King of Malaysia granted Najib a conditional pardon
01:05allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until August 23,
01:103, 2028.
01:12The arrangement is subject to payment of the 50 million ringgit fine and compliance with
01:18the stipulated conditions.
