00:00I was in high school by two girls at gunpoint and after that they really recommended that I go to
00:08therapy but I couldn't continue going because I felt like I was going to slip up and tell them
00:13what was going on with my uncle and every time I did try to get help the teachers around me

00:17would just be like well your aunt's a social worker or like you could get your aunt in a lot
00:22of trouble if you tell people this there was no concept ever of getting help I've never been in a
00:28relationship that wasn't of some sort and I've been single for the past four years now because
00:34I'm just I'm terrified I feel like experiencing all of that trauma in my childhood made me more
00:41susceptible to in adulthood and I I just I'm really afraid of being re-victimized been doing a lot of
00:50work and trying to understand exactly why dynamics happen so that I can be a good mom to my son
00:58so that I'm not traumatizing him and also so that I can recognize the signs faster and so I decided
01:06about four years ago to go no contact with pretty much my entire family adoptive family I am the
01:13first woman in four generations in my maternal bloodline that's had a baby and kept that baby
01:19and not lost it to like adoption or foster care or cps and I'm trying my my best
