00:27out for an enrichment walk, long overdue. The two golden oldies, the two lovebirds and then I'm going
00:34to be talking a little bit about AI, so artificial intelligence, especially AGI and all of these
00:45animal videos that we've been seeing lately all over social media. Sure I've been sent a few of
00:53them by friends of mine asking me if this is real and what's going on here etc etc. So I
00:59just want
00:59to delve into that because you know I've read a few articles and I've seen a few posts of people
01:06about people from people saying that we are entering into dark times, we are sailing in uncharted waters
01:16and people are really freaked out. So if you want to learn more about my thinking towards the future
01:24of AI then stick around today's video is going to be interesting. Oh and guys I am sporting one of

03:51Alright guys so I'll talk about Icarus in a sec. Let's just get going on another walk.

04:35Got a new rig that I'm trying out uh specifically to walk with Meg because uh she's quite rough on
04:46the
04:46cameras.

04:53Oh! I can see she's in one of those moods today.

05:13I want you to notice guys look at her flat-footed hind limb walking.
05:21Very reminiscent of Bongani in his older stages of life. So yeah Meg is uh unfortunately starting to walk
05:34with that flat-footed gait which means it's only a matter of time before she loses the condition
05:43um on her hind quarters which we can see she's already starting to lose muscle mass there especially in the
05:49hamstring area.
05:58Okay so Icarus on the other hand we have taken him off meds so he's on joint supplements and he's
06:11on
06:11liver and um kidney support which is just something we do uh with the older lions especially when they're
06:20a little bit compromised um and but he's off the the meds the anti-inflammatories um
06:29um and the painkillers and we know or at least we've seen over the weeks
06:38that he's not in pain and the way he's walking is is become a bit of a mechanical issue
06:45so the the stiffening up and the the spondylosis that he has um obviously
06:54prevents him mechanically from being able to move in a certain way so he has to
07:00compensate for that and he does a remarkable job but from a pain perspective when we actually
07:06look at his and measure or try and measure his pain we've we've ascertained that Icarus actually
07:14isn't um feeling pain for now so that's a good thing and we've had him off meds for
07:21it's probably about three to four weeks now to dodge the spiderweb um and we keep keeping a close eye
07:28on
07:28him and this this walk today is very important for me because uh I get to actually see how
07:38pain-free he is and how mobile he actually is and this is this is a score of of of
07:45quality of life so
07:47and so far so good so I'll say that I am super super happy with how these two uh old
07:54golden oldies
07:55are doing uh incredible hey Miggy so happy
08:04normally this colder weather guys I must just tell you um creates havoc you know
08:11um that you know the colder weather uh just just exacerbates uh joint stiffness and muscles take a
08:19lot longer to warm up and that joint capsule you know that fluid in the joint capsule you know it
08:25just doesn't um lubricate as well and yeah it's like a cold engine it takes or cold warming up a
08:32uh engine in a cold climate takes a lot longer um than in a warm climate so but once they
08:38get moving
08:39yo they get moving and today there was no such problems uh they were both rearing to go
08:45I was a little bit concerned but both uh are yeah super excited about going on their walk
08:51and uh walking together which is absolutely fantastic these two
08:56have clicked so well so super happy you can see the way Meg she's really my girl you're just such
09:05a
09:05trooper but you can see the way she's you know ambling along there it's not painful
09:10it's just for her probably not as um comfortable as it used to be but nevertheless this lioness
09:19still looks amazing for her age be like Meg what's that be like George no be like Meg if there's

09:33lion you want to be like I think it's Meg so yeah
09:40all right so on to today's topic AR artificial intelligence boy has it arrived and boy is it here to
09:53stay
09:55AGR artificial general intelligence uh everyone's super scared of that um and for good reason I think
10:05um it can be quite scary and you know I think people have every reason to be uh slightly fearful
10:16and cautious because um if what we've seen lately is anything to go by it's only going to get better
10:24and better oh it's just so pretty here at the moment with all the rain guys just take a moment

10:32I talk about that Meg's trying to figure out how she's going to go around here

10:47yes he's making light work of everything okay a little too bad
11:13I've had a few people few comments lately on my Instagram um of people that have recently um come
11:20across my page and they've just said it's AI so so that's that's in a sense wonderful
11:28because they think it's AI um and and the reason I say that guys is because
11:35on the flip side of the worry is that there is this over saturation of this kind of content
11:43and I'm not sure if you guys would have recalled a few months back and this is how quickly things
11:48are
11:48moving guys there was all those videos going about of the um the Sasquatch a Bigfoot
11:57and his gorilla friend and his baboon friend and you know they were doing all these things and it was
12:04when this this all popped on the internet and they were getting millions of views
12:08and they were doing all these funny things and it was quite funny the first time I saw it you
12:13know
12:14but after a while guess what it got boring uh you know peed on and stinks and and that was
12:20that
12:20no one really watches those videos anymore so personally I think it's just a phase guys
12:28the saving grace I think is that people are going to get bored so and people are also cognized of
12:36what's
12:37going on they're not stupid so especially people who are consuming this kind of stuff are going to be
12:42looking at it going oh come on guys it's not real read the commentary some people might think it's real
12:48then about overwhelmingly 90% say it's fake it's AI and then guess what the people go like oh shoot
12:56I was hoodwinked I will never get caught again so what it actually does is it starts to
13:04sensitize people to sensitize people to this kind of stuff and then I would go further to say we need
13:11to then start treating social media which we probably should be like fictional entertainment movies
13:22series that we watch on television we know that these movies are not real we know that people aren't
13:29blown up we know that Tom Cruise doesn't kill a hundred thousand men and and and not get shot
13:36once it's a movie it's make-believe and so so is this no different it's make-believe it's people making
13:43up little short films in their heads and uh you know if we watched a movie called Roar and a
13:50lion went
13:50around you know savaging people jumping in and out of buildings killing people we would go like oh wow
13:55that's funny entertainment but the moment we see it on social media guys we somehow assume that this is
14:03real and so on that note and sorry for waffling on on that note I think what you need to
14:10do
14:11as a consumer is you need to be more discerning the the onus um falls onus of responsibility falls
14:19squarely on your shoulders you should be looking at pages and following people that you can trust

16:08kinds of
16:09things uh throughout mankind's history and um you know there's always been this concern when things
16:16new inventions or new technology comes about think about cell phones I mean everyone thought this was
16:22the end of privacy and now everyone could be contactable when wherever they are and this is true
16:28but we've learned to live with them um the internet I remember when the internet first came about it was
16:35this is this is just crazy this is this is from from the devil um because think about what what
16:43access
16:43you have and think about the the crazy abilities that people have due to the internet um but we seem
16:51to
16:51to navigate that and yeah she's going to come and give me another uh another crazy let me just put
