00:00Hello everyone, my name is William Chambers. It is good to be here with you guys today
00:04with people who love to hear the Word of God. That being said, let's look into the text.
00:10If I had a title for today's message, I would call it, A Real Hope Dealer Carries People
00:16in His Heart. We're talking about hope dealers today. Oh, the characteristics of hope dealers,
00:26the attributes of hope dealers. When I'm talking about a hope dealer, I'm talking about somebody
00:29that dispenses the hope of Christ to themselves and to others. One that gives the hope of Christ.
00:37We're not the source of the hope, but Christ is that source. I'm contrasting it with a dope dealer
00:43that dispenses dangerous substances to people, addictive substances. We dispense life-giving
00:50hope that cometh from Christ to people. Praise be unto God. That being said, let's look at the text.
00:57Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved.
01:06So a real hope dealer has a burden for people, has a burden for the souls of people. Paul said,
01:13brethren, my heart's desire. It was his heart's desire. Hope dealers genuinely care about what is
01:20happening to the souls of people. Oh, are the souls of people on your heart? Is there a burden to
01:28see
01:29them saved on your heart? We should be asking, Lord, give me a heart that's sensitive to the needs of
01:34people and people's ultimate need. It's salvation. That's the greatest need man has. Paul says,
01:43my heart's desire and that goes deeper than I just preached to them. That goes deeper than I just told
01:49them the truth. That's so much deeper than I posted a sermon online. Paul is saying, I carry Israel
01:56internally. They are my heart's desire. They're on the inside of my heart. Help me. Oh, they're
02:02burdening my soul. A real hope dealer carries people on his heart and they want people to have
02:09salvation. They want people to have transformation. They want people to have this message of hope
02:15that comes in the gospel of Christ. We are watching that for people and we're praying for people. Help
02:21us today. When people get on your heart, they eventually get in your prayers. Oh, Lord, put people
02:28on my heart strong enough so that they're on my prayers. So they're in my prayers. Oh, Lord, because I
02:35want
02:35to see salvation for their souls. That should be your heart's desire. That's what Paul's heart's desire
02:40was. Paul could have looked at Israel and simply recognized their spiritual condition and went on
02:45about his business. Oh, they need Christ. He could have did that. Many believers do that. They see the
02:52spiritual condition, but they do nothing about it. But Paul was different. The spiritual condition of the
02:57people became a burden that was on the inside of him. My burden, my prayer, my heart's desire is to
03:06see
03:06men saved. So what I'm trying to say is a hope dealer doesn't just carry the message. He carries
03:12the burden to God. Oh, Lord, this is on my heart and I'm bringing it before you. He said in
03:18prayer to God,
03:20I'm taking this prayer to God. Paul had a burden on his heart and he knew where to take it.
03:25The one that
03:26answers all prayers. I know where I'm going to take this. Oh, he can answer. You can talk to people
03:34about Jesus and never talk to God about those people. Oh, Lord, help us to do both. Paul did both.
03:41He talked to the people about Jesus and then he talked to God about the people. Oh, Lord, I'm talking
03:51to the people and I'm bringing them before you because that's how much I want them saved. Paul
03:56carried the message to people and carried the people to God. Oh, look what I'm carrying. I'm
04:01carrying this message to you and then I'm going to carry you under God. Paul's burden on his heart
04:07wasn't simply that the people had better circumstances. Oh, I'm not just wishing that you
04:11had better circumstances or that you more of a successful. I'm not just wishing that life was a
04:15little bit easier, but I'm wishing that you might be saved. I'm wishing that you have the greatest need
04:23that humanity has, that you have that met salvation itself. He wanted them to know God. He wanted them
04:30to make contact with God and be in relationship with Jesus. Oh, and the last attribute I want to talk
04:38about is a real hope dealer keeps dealing hope because he wants people saved. He keeps on going,
04:44keeps on going. He said, the reason why I'm doing this is that they might be saved. The final words
04:51of this verse is saved, meaning that that is the destination. That's the goal. That's the purpose.
04:58When I see salvation in you, I will be at the, will be at the destination. A worldly dope dealer
05:06stops
05:06when a transaction comes because all he's interested in is profit. But a Christian hope dealer keeps on
05:13looking for souls because we're interested in all men being saved. Help us to God. They keep on going.
05:22They keep on preaching. They keep on teaching. They keep on praying. They keep on witnessing.
05:28They keep on knocking. They keep on putting the message in front of people because ultimate goal
05:33is salvation. That's what we want. We keep dealing with hope because souls are worth the effort.
05:39Oh, if one man gets saved, it'll be worth all the effort in the world. Oh, Lord, help us. We
05:46want
05:46people out of confusion. We want people's hearts to be healed. We want people to be, to recover from
05:52whatever they're going through. We want people to be covered from broken homes. We want people to
05:56recover from broken hearts. We want people, God, to be ministering to all types of brokenness.
06:00And ultimately, we want people to be saved. And if one person is saved, it'll be worth all the effort
06:08in the world. Well, we're talking about characteristics of hope dealers. And here's a characteristic. A hope
06:13dealer has people on his heart, people on his lips, and people in his prayer. A real hope dealer carries
06:25people on their hearts. Who are you carrying before God? Who are you praying for? Oh, help us,
06:34oh God, to be praying. Lord, put people on my heart and on my mind that I bring them to
06:40you
06:40for their salvation needs. Lord, we ask your help in this. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray and say,
06:46amen.
