00:05who love to hear the Word of God. Let us dive into the Word of God. If I had a
00:09title for today's
00:10message, I would call it, I want to teach you how to hope deal. I think I'm going to do
00:16a series on
00:17this right here. What am I talking about? Well, we all know about drug dealers. We all know about
00:22dope dealers who sell us something that gives us temporary highs, but leave us in worse positions,
00:29leave us with deeper lows, leave us with our lives damaged. Everybody knows what a dope dealer does,
00:36he deals dope. Well, the believer is to deal hope. We are to be hope dealers. I want to teach
00:44you how
00:44to hope deal. I want to show you how to take the hope that God has given us in His
00:48Word and deal
00:50that to somebody who is already ready to give up. Oh, I want you to deal this word out, deal
00:56out this
00:56hope. We are, as believers, to be hope dealers. Help us today, oh Lord, let us get into the text.
01:04For whatsoever things were written aforetime, were written for our learning, that we, through patience
01:11and comfort of the scriptures, might have hope. A dealer cannot give something that he does not
01:18possess. If you're going to hope deal, you need to have some hope yourself. For whatsoever things
01:25were written, were written for our learning, the text says. We are to learn this Word of God. Hope
01:31dealers don't have to have all the answers, but we need to be in the Word of God and we
01:35need to know
01:36where to go to get the answers. This said that the scriptures were written for our learning.
01:41And if they were written for our learning, we can teach someone how to hope. Ah, let me teach you
01:47how to
01:47hope. If someone said, come up to you and say, nobody loves me, we should say, let me teach you
01:52how to
01:52hope. If somebody comes up to you and say, I messed up my whole entire life, I think it's over.
01:57We should be able
01:58to say, let me teach you how to hope. If somebody comes up to you and say, my situation is
02:04so bad, it'll never
02:05ever change. We should be the ones that say, brother, sister, let me teach you how to hope. Put the
02:11Word of God in
02:12their hands and give them hope. Ah, well, hope dealing requires patience and comfort. You ain't going to do no
02:22hope dealing if you don't have no patience and comfort. The text says, for whatsoever things were written
02:28the forehand were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
02:36When you are hope dealing, you must know that everything does not get fixed immediately. You will
02:43be hope dealing with problems everywhere. Just because you're hope dealing don't mean life is
02:47perfect. Oh, just because you hope dealing don't mean that things are not frustrating. Just because
02:53you're hope dealing don't mean that all your problems disappear. I'm going to need some patience to deal
02:59with life as it is while I'm hope dealing. Hmm. So we're going to need some patience. The Bible says
03:06Paul connects hope with patience. Sometimes you got to hope while you're being patient. What I'm
03:14talking about. You got to hope while you're waiting. I got hope and I'm waiting on God. Oh,
03:21you got to hope deal while you're hurting. I'm, I'm dealing that hope to you and dealing that hope to
03:26her
03:26and dealing hope to myself, but I'm hurting inside. Oh, have you ever been there before?
03:31I'm dealing that hope, but I'm praying for some things that haven't happened yet. I'm really waiting
03:36on God. I need patience. You're going to need the patience of the scripture. Oh, I'm, I'm dealing
03:43out hope to myself and doing that hope to others. And I'm looking at some circumstances that look like
03:48they won't change up. I'm going to need some patience. Ah, so if the scriptures have patience in it,
03:54it teaches us how to be patient and wait on God. The scriptures also teach us about comfort.
03:59Oh, God's word is so important because there's comfort in the word of God. What am I talking
04:04about? Comfort. We're going to need comfort so you can endure while you're suffering.
04:10Lord, I'm suffering right now. I'm going through, I'm trying to hope deal,
04:14but I'm suffering. Well, there's comfort in the word that'll help you through your suffering.
04:19What am I saying? It is the scriptures that tell us to keep on going when you feel like quitting.
04:25Oh,
04:27comfort me with the word, Lord. I'm needing this comfort and this patience in the scriptures.
04:32It is the scriptures that teach us to believe when circumstances say give up. When you want to quit,
04:38the scriptures tell us to keep on keeping our faith in God. So I'm going to need some patience and
04:44some comfort while I'm hope dealing. God's word reminds us not to quit. It reminds us to keep
04:51on going. It comforts us. It says that it comforts us, letting us know that God hasn't forgotten you
04:56yet. It comforts us that there is still hope in God. The last thing I want to talk about is
05:02the
05:02product is hope. Oh, we got that 100 right here. This is that real. Don't mistake it for that fake
05:08stuff. Oh, we got that real right here. The scripture said whatsoever things were written a four times
05:13were written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have
05:20hope. The final product is hope. Uh, what am I talking about? There are plenty of things being
05:26dealt on the streets that destroy people, a whole lot of dope and a whole lot of drugs. But what
05:31if
05:31the people of God were known as hope dealers, meaning when you walking around the street,
05:38they know you got it on you. Oh, I am that plug right here. Oh, you want that hope? If
05:42you want
05:43it, we got it. When people saw you coming, they knew here's somebody who's going to give me a reason
05:48not to quit. Here's somebody that's going to give me a reason to keep on going. That if you want
05:53it,
05:53we got it on us. That means we got to be in our word because it's through the scriptures. We
05:57got to
05:57learn the scriptures so we can have hope on us. Praise be unto God. Don't you want to walk up
06:02to
06:02someone spiritually broken and say, I can teach you how to hope deal and then put a Bible in their
06:07hand and start reading through the scriptures. Oh, I can teach you how to hope deal. The Christians
06:12answer to hopelessness is not cheer up. It's not, it's going to be okay. The Christians answer to
06:19hopelessness is let me show you what God's words say. Oh, we can spend, we can spend the night
06:25looking at the word of God. Oh, we can wake up in the morning looking at the word of God.
06:30Oh,
06:30if you want to hear the word of God, if you want it, we got it. Ah, we not trying
06:34to hold back on you.
06:35Oh, I got the stuff. If you want the product, which is hope. Oh, we got the hope. Ah, we
06:40know who the
06:40hope man is. Ah, we talk about Jesus the Christ and we got that hope over here. Hallelujah. The world
06:48is suffering. The world is in pain. The world is hurting and it needs hope. And this world,
06:54it offers temporary escape, you know, drugs, alcohol, that kind of stuff. But the scriptures
06:59offer eternal hope that it's anchored in God. We got that better product over here. We should be
07:05the ones saying, I don't have alcohol for you and I don't have drugs for you. I don't have that
07:10kind
07:10of a way of escape for you, but I have the word of God and I can teach you how
07:14to hope deal. Oh,
07:16dish this hope out to yourself. And when you dish it out to yourself, once you get a good hit
07:20for
07:20yourself, you're going to have to pass that to somebody else. Ah, puff, puff. Hey, y'all
07:25understand what it is. God gave us the scriptures so that we can receive hope. I have to receive
07:32hope. But you got to pass that thing. You know what I'm saying? Then after you get the hope,
07:37take that hope to somebody else who needs it. Give, puff, puff, give. Ah, Lord. Thank you,
07:44Lord. We need you. I want to teach you how to hope deal. We're going to talk about this a
07:49little
