00:00Praise be unto our God, greatest our God. My name is William Chambers. It is a blessing to be here
00:07with you all today. I value you all so much, those that view me, those that love to hear the
00:13Word of
00:14God. Today, if I had a message for today, I would call it, when someone you love values you cheaply,
00:23oh, have you ever had somebody you love value you cheaply, Lord knows. Amen, amen, amen. Some of the
00:36deepest pain in life comes from being undervalued by people closest to you. It be the people closest
00:44to you when they don't think nothing of you. Now that's some real pain. Jesus knows this pain
00:51personally. And that's what we're going to talk about today. This is a message for anybody that's
00:56been discounted by people that they love, undervalued. People looked at you that loved you
01:04as worthless. People may value you cheaply, but that does not define who you are. Your value is not
01:16determined by who walked away from you, by who rejected you, by who thought you was nothing,
01:23but your value is determined by God who died for you. I'm preaching already. Let me get into the text.
01:33Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priest and said unto them,
01:39what will you give me? And I will deliver him unto you. And they covenanted with him for 30 pieces
01:48of
01:48silver. And from that time, he saw opportunity to betray him. I want to talk about the pain of close
01:58relationship. Relationship betrayal. The Bible says, then one of the twelve, meaning Jesus' pain
02:10didn't come from the crowds. It came from within his inner circle. Those who he walked with, those who
02:19he talked with, those that should have loved him, those, that's where the betrayal comes from. There's a
02:26unique kind of pain when it's somebody who you knew betrays you. When it's somebody who walked with you
02:34betrays you. When it's somebody that you trusted. Now this is Jesus. Ah, help us. You can be absolutely
02:43priceless. And Christ died for us. That is our worth. We're priceless in the eyes of God that he would
02:51shed his own blood for us. So you can be absolutely priceless. And that's what we are. You can be
02:57priceless in reality like Jesus was and still be priced cheaply by people and their perception.
03:05And you're in their perception, you're cheap. You're worth nothing. But to God in reality, you're worth
03:10everything. You're worth Jesus taking his life for. What I'm trying to say is men can be blind to your
03:19worth. And they often are blind to your worth. That's why you can't be caring about how that
03:25people think about you. Oh, that's why you should be looking unto God. Because people are oftentimes
03:31blind to your worth. They was blind to the worth of Jesus. Judas didn't see too much for the Jesus
03:40that he sold them for only 30 pieces of silver. What a low estimation of the Lamb of God. 30
03:48pieces of
03:49silver. Judas traded in eternal worth that was in Jesus for temporary currency.
03:58Oh, Lord, help us. Help us today. When people decide that you are worth little, they act in ways
04:05that confirm that belief. The Bible said, and from that time, he saw opportunity to betray him. Now
04:13I'm looking for opportunity. Oh, they act in ways. Oh, we're not speaking to you. Oh, we're going to
04:18totally ignore you. You ain't worth nothing. Oh, we're going to sell you in. Oh, we're going to do
04:23you over. Ah, help us today. That's what they'll do. They'll act in ways that confirm their beliefs
04:29about you. Jesus was worth everything, but they treated him as if he was worth almost nothing at
04:37all. All he's worth is 30 pieces of silver. And we don't, and I don't care much about him. I'm
04:43looking for a reason and a way to betray him. Oh, Lord, if this ever happened to you, there's some
04:49things that you should know that we can see in the life of Jesus. There's things that you should know.
04:55We should know that when somebody values you cheaply, it does not mean that you are cheap.
05:00It means that they lack the capacity of recognizing your true value and worth. They don't have the
05:08capacity to see it. Ah, so you must learn to separate your worth from their valuation of you.
05:17That's how you value me, but that's not my worth. That's how you see it, but that's not who I
05:22am.
05:22You might not see what I'm worth, but to God, I'm worth everything. You just don't see it. You're
05:27blind to me. Don't chase their approval. Don't try to prove your value. Just know that they can't see
05:33it. There's some other things that we must know when people value us cheaply. We got to know that
05:40betrayal by people does not derail us. It didn't derail Jesus' purpose. It did not derail his mission.
05:47It was part of the path that Jesus had to take the great victory. Ah, this is just part of
05:53the path.
05:54Your betrayal, God is using it to get me somewhere. For all things work together for the good of those
05:59who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose. There's a reason that you had to come and
06:04betray me. Ah, there was a reason for the betrayal of Jesus. It was part of the path. What hurts
06:11you,
06:11I know it might hurt, but what hurts you does not have to stop you. It did not stop Jesus.
06:18The
06:18betrayal of Judas did not stop him. He kept on going on with the mission. Ah, Lord, you got to
06:23know
06:23these things, and you can keep on going on with the mission. There's some things we got to know.
06:28We got to know that being rejected by men does not mean that we're rejected by God.
06:35Even while Jesus was being betrayed, he was still chosen by God. Ah, I'm being betrayed right now,
06:42but I'm still chosen by God. He was still loved by God. I'm being betrayed right now,
06:48but I'm still loved by God. He was still on his mission. Though they betraying me, that ain't
06:54going to stop me. I'm still on mission. Someone can walk away from you, but that does not mean at
06:59all
07:00that God has walked away. And if they walk away and God's still there, I think I can still make
07:07it.
07:08Praise be unto God. Some other things we need to know. We need to know that we can be rejected
07:13by
07:13people, but completely held. He's holding me. I'm completely held by God. My identity is not built on
07:23who left. My ability is not built on who's rejecting me. My identity is not built on if
07:30they ever speak to me again. My identity is not built on them at all. But my ability, my identity
07:35is built upon who God said I am. I am a child of God. I am loved by the King.
07:43I am a royal priesthood.
07:45Ah, you got to know your word to be able to speak value over your life. Speak value over your
07:50life
07:50when they're undervaluing you. You have unshakable worth, whether men see it or not. Jesus died for
07:58you. You have unshakable worth, even in the face of being undervalued. Let them undervalue me. I don't
08:06care because I'm looking unto him who knows my true worth. Ah, I'm a creation of the King. You are
08:14priceless, even when people value you cheaply. These are some things that we need to know.
08:23Being valued cheaply by someone who should have valued you deeply does not define who you are
08:31at all. Separate yourself from their valuation. All that speaks of is it reveals that they don't,
08:38that they're blind to your worth. It reveals them. It has nothing to do with your worth. Today,
08:43I'm just talking about how we should react and how we should speak to ourselves when someone
08:48that loves us, values us so cheaply. Help us, oh God. We are in need of you. In Jesus' name,
08:57we pray and say, amen.
09:13Amen.
09:14Amen.
09:16Amen.
09:22Amen.
09:24Amen.
09:25Amen.
