00:05My name is William Chambers. Let us get into the Word of God. Today, if I had a title, I
00:10would call it
00:11How to Stay at Peace When Everything Falls Apart. You guys know that sometimes it feels like
00:21everything is falling apart. Jesus is about to speak in the disciples' life when everything
00:26is about to fall apart for them, but they had not known it yet. They didn't know that it was
00:32about
00:32to happen. Jesus is speaking peace to his disciples while they stand at the edge of chaos and don't
00:38even know it. Things are about to fall apart in their life and they have no idea Jesus declaring
00:46victory before they ever go through the battle. Oh, that's what kind of God we have. Let us look
00:52at what Jesus says. These things I have spoken unto you that in me you might have peace. In the
00:58world
00:59you shall have trouble, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. Jesus is preparing his
01:07disciples for the storm and you got to thank God that he loves us so much that he'll prepare us
01:13for
01:13this life. That's why we need to be in the Word of God. I need preparation. I need to hear
01:18what he's
01:18going to say because trials will come. He's telling that tribulations will come. This is while Judas is
01:24in motion to betray him. This is while this is before Peter ever denies to Christ. This is before the
01:31disciples ever have to scatter out of fear. This is before betrayal, before scattering, and this is hours
01:38away from the cross. This is tribulation. This is trouble right here. The disciples are about to come
01:45face to face with betrayal, scattering, and fear. And Jesus equips them beforehand with truth. Lord, I need
01:54to be equipped with your truth. That's why we got to be in the Word of God. That's why we
01:58need to be in prayer
01:59for understanding of the Word. Equip me before I go through it. We all are going to go through it.
02:05What Jesus
02:06had already told the disciples is not wasted. It was stored inside of the disciples, planted inside of the
02:14disciples for the moment that pressure would arise. Ah, Jesus speaks truth to us to stabilize our hearts so
02:23they will not be shaken. He told them that this was coming. When the disciples see him arrested, beaten,
02:33and crucified, they would have something to fall back on. The preparation of Christ Jesus. I have something to
02:41fall back on when things ain't going right. You have something to fall back on. We're talking about
02:46how to stay at peace. Ah, I can fall back on the Word of God. The power of God that
02:54was spoken unto me.
02:55Ah, so let's look at this. Jesus is saying that the peace is not in the circumstance, but it's in
03:02a person.
03:03He says, in me ye shall have peace. The location of your peace is in me, not in your circumstances,
03:15not in the way that things turn out, not in outcomes, not in your understanding. Your peace is
03:21located in me. When you are frustrated and all in disarray, it's because you have your peace in people,
03:31places, things, circumstances, and not in God. The Bible says that it'll keep us in perfect peace
03:37whose mind is stayed upon him. Ah, get back to the location of your peace. This is reminding me
03:44when I'm pacing the floors. Find your peace. Your peace is in Christ Jesus. Your peace is in what
03:52he's already written unto you. The Word of God will keep your mind in perfect peace. He is our peace.
03:58And he's saying that in me, you might have peace. Meaning this is not automatic peace.
04:03Ah, just because you're a believer don't mean you will have peace. This is a peace that must be
04:08embraced. You must embrace it. You must focus upon him and embrace the peace that's in him. You can't
04:13just hear about this. You have to embrace it. Ah, the peace is available. Will you go after it? Help
04:20us.
04:21God has made peace available unto us. Mmm. Peace in the midst of chaos. Jesus promises them chaos.
04:31He said, in this world, ye will have tribulation. Mmm.
04:37In a world that rejects God, in a world that rejects truth, in a world that opposes God,
04:43in a world that opposes truth, in a world that crucified Christ, you will have chaos.
04:49You will have trouble. Jesus guarantees them that pressure is going to come after them. I guarantee
04:56it. I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you. I guarantee you that opposition is going to come
05:00for you. I guarantee that there will be spiritual testing and emotional distress. I guarantee
05:05persecution. I'm guaranteeing relational conflict. In this world, you will have tribulation.
05:13Faith is not a shield from trouble. It is strength in the midst of it. But I will give you
05:18peace in the
05:19midst of it. In me, there's peace. In the world, there's trouble. Ah, look at the difference between
05:24the world and Christ himself. The ultimate trouble and devastation came on Christ when he was betrayed.
05:32He suffered, betrayed by his disciples, suffered injustice by, by the world. He was abandoned by the
05:39disciples, abandoned by the father himself. Ah, he suffered, uh, suffering beyond our understanding
05:46upon a cross. Jesus was about to walk right into the midst of trouble. And he said, before I do
05:52that,
05:52let me prepare you guys. Let me speak peace unto you guys. Let me stabilize you guys before you go
06:00through it. Ah, give me your word, God, and stabilize me before I go through it. Jesus declared victory
06:10before the battle had even started, before the cross, before the death, before the resurrection.
06:16Jesus said, there will be victory. What would I mean? He says, be of good cheer. I have overcome the
06:23world. Ah, Jesus said, while I'm being, Jesus basically said, while I'm being arrested, be of good
06:28cheer. While I'm crucified, be of good cheer. Be strong in the midst of it. While everything is falling
06:37apart, I want you to be steady with your faith and mind up on me. Oh, Lord. Oh, you should
06:46be
06:46steady. Be of good cheer for I have already overcome this. I'm already speaking victory
06:51language before it ever, before the battle even starts. Oh, we have the victory. Jesus is basically
06:57saying, I'm having the victory in this. I'm going to get a victory for you. This is all for you.
07:02This is going to work together for your good. The situation that we go through in Christ Jesus
07:07work together for our good. God has already overcame the world. And so can we, this is for your good.
07:15No matter what you're going through in Christ Jesus, all things, all things work together for
07:22our good. The world through sin at Jesus, the world through darkness at Jesus, the world through
07:29opposition at Jesus, and they still lost no matter what this world throws at you. It's going to still
07:36lose because we have the victory. Even if it throws death at me, I'll be in the presence of the
07:43Lord.
07:44You can have peace when everything is falling apart. If we grasp after that peace, God has made it
07:54available. It is located in him. Help us, God, to keep our minds stayed upon you. In Jesus' name,
