00:00The status of the sale of the point-to-pay refinery could be in a very good place within
00:04six months time. That's according to Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Dr. Rudal Munilal
00:09when asked for an update by TV6 News 2D. He says he recently met with the outgoing Indian
00:15High Commissioner and the refinery was among the topics discussed.
00:20The participation and interest of giant Indian companies in the petrochemical industry in
00:27Gran Tobago and working alongside the state partners, Paria Heritage in particular, as
00:32it relates to the oil and gas sector. So there's good news there and I'm confident that in a
00:38short space of time we'll be able to take off in terms of the refining.
00:43Within the next fiscal year?
00:44I believe within six months or so we should reach somewhere. Very good. There are laws,
00:52there are rules, there are regulations that one has to follow when it relates to state
00:56assets and we have to ensure that we do nothing that will expose us to any claim that we violated
01:04any law.
