00:19CIGRE was just a conference and its name was standing for
00:23Conférence Internationale des Grands Réseaux Électriques
00:27which meant in English International Conference on Large Electric Systems.
00:31Ten years later, in 1933, it became an association ruled by the French law on non-for-profit associations.
00:39But the name gave the impression that it was still only a conference.
00:45However, CIGRE was already organizing joint activities between experts, working groups, study committees
00:55and not only conferences.
00:57This was recognized in 2000 when CIGRE's name was changed into
01:03Le Conseil Internationale des Grands Réseaux Électriques
01:06which for the French was a change in names, in gender,
01:11but in English it was International Council on Large Electric Systems.
01:15Since then, CIGRE has still continued to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between its members in two ways.
01:25First was like this session, organizing events, and the second was by facilitating collaboration in between events
01:34by consolidating and disseminating the knowledge gained and shared during these sessions.
01:50Yeah, to modernize the power substation nowadays, it's very, very important to consider cybersecurity, obviously,
01:59but also the way to integrate different ways to produce energy, especially coming from renewables.
02:05You also need to be prepared to virtualize as much as possible different kind of assets within a power substation,
02:13bringing always the same level of reliability and robustness.
02:20So, having said that, you need a solid manufacturer which is able to provide that kind of solution portfolio
02:28and have the knowledge to support you for a design perspective.
02:34That's why, with Moxa, we are able to do so.
02:37So, you are strongly engaged to recommended to visit our booth
02:41and you're going to be welcome with many, many, many skilled people
02:45and we're going to support you, I'm pretty sure about that.
02:58So, power systems, we typically think from a transmission perspective, that's not longer the thing how we should go down
03:06the road.
03:07It's much more important that we have to think about how to integrate distribution in the right way.
03:12That goes far beyond today's limitations we see, especially within the technology.
03:20So, technologies will require that we integrate distribution grids into a one-grid approach
03:29and that is also the right step forward and that's what we have started here.
03:43My advice would be be curious, get involved and don't be afraid to take responsibility early.
03:48The energy sector is going to the most transformational times in its history
03:52and right now is the best time to get involved and help us build the future of our power systems.
03:57And you don't have to know everything.
03:59That's why SIGRE exists, to give you access to world-class knowledge
04:03and to connect you with senior experts worldwide.
04:07And also, don't wait for an opportunity.
04:09Get involved, propose a project, propose an initiative
04:12and us, through our Next Generation Network program,
04:15we help you to be connected with young professionals worldwide.
04:20So, the future of our power systems is being built right now.
04:24Get involved, be part of SIGRE.
04:35For Thailand, we have the goal, the climate goal, to achieve net zero by 2050.
04:42And also, we have to maintain our strength in terms of competitiveness in the world market.
04:48So, we have to do a few things.
04:50First, we have to scale up the renewable capacity, the wind and solar power.
04:55And also, we need to strengthen our grid.
04:59We have to make it more flexible.
05:00We need to add more energy storage.
05:04As well as, have all these technologies like Statcom, synchronizing generator and compressor.
05:14In terms of regulation, we have to do regulatory reform in order to have more players into the power market.
05:24We have to do the third party access and also liberalizing the power businesses.
05:31Most importantly, we need to do international collaboration, especially on the regional integration, the ASEAN power grid, for example.
05:39So, we have to be more connected to everyone around the neighbour countries.
05:46Thank you very much.
05:46Thank you very much.
05:48Thank you very much.
