00:00Thank you for listening.
00:33So can I define in a few words what SIGRE means for me?
00:36It is a little bit harder to do it in a few words, but I can tell you a little
00:40bit of
00:40story.
00:41So I come from a family of engineering family and my mom and my dad, they've been going
00:47to SIGRE since they were young.
00:52And that means when I was a baby, I was getting presents from SIGRE and I've seen a little
00:58green flag coming from Paris.
01:01And then when I became a student, I decided to go for electrical engineering.
01:06And as a part of electrical engineering, as students, we would organize SIGRE conference
01:11in Serbia, where I originally came from.
01:15Then you get more on a cultural side because now you're visiting Paris, now you're walking
01:23down the sand.
01:23You know, I just came from Bordeaux.
01:25And you get to meet more the local culture.
01:31And then you can exchange and get new experiences.
01:44A few months ago, I really did not know how it was going to go because it was new to
01:48us
01:50that it will be virtual.
01:51I was thinking Zoom and Bebex and maybe more sophisticated.
01:57But now when I'm here in front of camera and lights, I did find out it's more warmer because
02:03of the lights.
02:05But joking aside, it is much more professional.
02:08It is much more telling.
02:10The content is much more richer.
02:20How do I see SIGRE in the future?
02:23So I think we will take what worked for the first hundred years and then we will put some
02:30new elements and then we will go to the next hundred years.
02:33And I think what we learned from the first hundred years that really this international community
02:39of experts works, we are all volunteers, right?
02:45You have a lot of volunteers around the world.
02:48We are putting our time, we are putting our energy because we want to contribute, because
02:55we want to learn, because we want to meet with all.
02:59You guys may be there that are still not thinking or thinking what the SIGRE are.
03:06That is a beautiful part.
03:08We were able to preserve that community for a hundred years.
