00:00Many of us have become strongly attached to the Windows 10 system, and let's be honest,
00:03Windows 10 was, and still is, a solid operating system with not much to criticize.
00:08But the 11th version of Windows brings a whole range of significant improvements,
00:13starting with proper scaling, which to this day still doesn't work as it should in Windows 10.
00:18Including more efficient multitasking with multiple windows, enhancements that improve
00:22our productivity, and even support for new processor architectures.
00:26Thanks to smooth animations, transparency effects, and some design details,
00:30the 11th version of the system also looks much better.
00:33But even if the visual aspects don't convince you to make this upgrade,
00:38the fact that Windows 10 will eventually lose support and, well,
00:42all updates might be a much more convincing reason.
00:46So the truth is, sooner or later we have to make the switch anyway,
00:50whether it's because of the system's security or new hardware.
00:53Putting it off just doesn't make sense anymore.
00:56And since version 11 is already fully usable and switching to it is still free,
01:01it's really worth taking advantage of.
01:04That's why in this guide I'll show you how to upgrade your system from Windows 10 to Windows 11,
01:10even if your computer officially may not support such an upgrade.

01:17Let's get started.
01:22Since we're only going to update the system here, all your files, programs, tools, games,
01:27and even your settings will remain untouched.
01:29However, it's always better to be safe than sorry,
01:32and even though the system itself will create a backup of Windows 10 before upgrading to Windows 11,
01:37you should also make your own backup just in case.
01:40This step may be optional, but for safety, it's a good idea to use cloud storage for your files.
01:45Google Drive lets you store up to 15GB for free on one account,
01:49and if that's not enough, Terabox gives you 1TB of space for free.
01:53Personally, I love Dropbox and especially OneDrive because of the built-in integration with Windows,
01:59but in their free versions, they won't let you store too much data.
02:03Choose the option that's right for you and always keep your files synced there,
02:06and you'll see that sooner or later it will save your skin, but that's it for the introduction.
02:11So if your computer meets the official requirements, switching to Windows 11 is extremely easy.
02:17Click the start button, then the gear icon, which will open the settings.
02:21Now select update and security.
02:23After a moment, you'll see information with the Windows 11 logo saying that the upgrade application is ready.
02:28Click the download and install button.
02:31After accepting the license terms, the download process will begin.
02:35Depending on your internet speed and the performance of your hardware,
02:38this may take anywhere from several dozen minutes to even a few hours.
02:42Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is completely free and doesn't require a key,
02:47but as always, there's one condition.
02:49Your system must be genuine and activated.
02:52If you were asked to enter a key during the update,
02:55the bad news is that your Windows was cracked using what's called a
03:00crack, an illegal activator or the activation watermark itself was hidden.
03:05However, if you have a legitimate key, you can undo this operation and try entering it again,
03:11while still in Windows 10, which will then give you a free upgrade to Windows 11.
03:16After this process, you'll see the updated system with all your files and apps.
03:21As you can see, it wasn't that hard.
03:23Windows 11 can really be appealing, but the first thing that discourages people is the menu in the
03:28center of the screen, although this can be easily changed.
03:31Right-click on the taskbar and go to its settings.
03:34Expand the taskbar behaviors section and for taskbar alignment, change it to the left.
03:39If you want, you can also disable the chat or search icons here if you find them unnecessary.
03:44The method given here, although the simplest, will only work if our hardware meets the minimum
03:49requirements.
03:50And these are a bit exaggerated, because Windows 11 can work fully and efficiently even on older
03:55hardware, because in reality it's all about UEFI, a supported, or I should really say supported,
04:01in quotation marks, processor or the TPM 2.0 module which, well yes, in certain situations it can
04:08additionally improve security, but in reality, if we really want to, we can install Windows 11 by
04:14skipping all those elements, which, if you think about it, will still be safer than staying on Windows
04:2010 after it loses all support.
04:23So, if you see a message in the update window saying that your computer does not meet the minimum
04:28hardware requirements, we'll approach the topic from a different angle.
04:32To do this, open your browser and in the address bar type exactly in lowercase bit.ly slash tmhb.
04:39D and again in lowercase win 11.
04:42Exactly as you see it now on the screen, then press the enter key.

04:55Scroll down to the disk image download section and select Windows 11 multi-edition,
05:00then click download. Next, choose your preferred language and confirm with the blue button.
05:06Now, just click the one labelled as 64-bit download.
05:09Once the ISO file has been fully saved, extract its contents to a folder.
05:13If you have 7-zip installed on your system, just right-click on it and select the appropriate option.
05:19Inside the extracted folder you'll find the installer but don't click on it yet.
05:24Before that, we need to go to the sources folder.
05:26There you'll find a DLL file named appraiser res.
05:31And that's the one you need to edit. However, to save you the trouble,
05:35you'll find a modified ready-to-use replacement file on my website.
05:39Just go to www.kakatechmaniac.hdetrock.pl, then to the Computery Porady Windows,
05:45Aktualizacja Win1011 tab, then replace the file in the extracted folder with the one you got from me.
05:52However, if you want to know what this modification is about or you prefer to do it yourself,
05:56just open this library file with any editor. Even a basic notepad will do.
06:01Press the left cartel key together with the F key to bring up the search function and type in TPM.
06:06This way, find and remove the pieces of code that block the installer if the TPM module is not found.
06:12Here in the video, I'm showing the elements to remove in Fast Forward,
06:15and not every line containing the phrase TPM should be deleted.
06:18So if you want to do it precisely, you can always slow down the playback or simply pause the video.
06:24When you get to the end, also clear the lines of code that check for UEFI Secure Boot.
06:28After everything, you can overwrite the file or, to be safe, make a copy of the original
06:33and only then replace it with the new version.
06:36After the file is ready, exit the sources folder and click on the installer.
06:41Updates will be downloaded, the amount of free space will also be checked,
06:45and then you'll see a message that the system is ready for installation.
06:49Isn't that cute? Just a moment ago, the same installer claimed that in its opinion,
06:53my computer wasn't suitable for installing Windows 11 at all.
06:57And here you go.
06:58Well, it is possible.
07:00By default, the update will be performed while keeping all files and applications,
07:05but if for some reason you prefer to remove them and keep only your personal folders,
07:09or even do a clean installation, you can still change this choice here.
07:14After proceeding, the installer will start updating the system,
07:17and this process may take quite a while, so be prepared for that.
07:21After it's finished, the computer will restart and we'll have to wait a bit again,
07:25but it's worth it, because after everything is done, we'll be greeted by the login screen.
07:30After logging in, we have to wait a little longer for everything to be prepared.
07:34And that's it.
