00:24i thought the dolphins shot themselves in the foot plenty right they had the penalties started
00:29to uh to stack up which uh which certainly didn't help but uh it's uh like it's a it's a
00:34disappointing start it's going to be a long uphill climb and you know what the what the dolphins are
00:41asking of their fans here once again i did see by the way the dolphins uh sent their season ticket
00:45holders a uh everyone's getting a free jersey oh wow ticket holder they sent that was pretty nice i
00:52thought that's cool yeah i mean uh not only anyone has any jerseys of the uh the players on the
00:57team
00:57outside of a chance so yeah everybody i talked to is like i'm so afraid to get a jersey because

01:07ready for the the game you know we went out uh watching some buddies for a little bit and he

01:35this season um you know again it's early so we'll uh we'll continue to see how how uh things go

01:42but uh man it was uh not a lot of good stuff to uh unfortunately uh take away from that

01:55the most of is it is it people that are just like kind of apathetic now it's just like whatever

02:19wasn't really coaching didn't go over to the guys and you know talk to them but then there was a

02:24of people that came and said you know we need to have patience and you know a lot of people

02:28this is exactly what we wanted we asked for this last year we wanted to get rid of the coach

02:33quarterback the general manager we knew it was going to hurt and now that it hurts it's a little tough
02:39but at least it's what we asked for and now we can try to grow and move on i was
02:44really rough on
02:44chop robinson a guy who has the best best camp of anyone in the whole team and a guy who's
02:52a make
02:53or break year he had one tackle yesterday that's his only stat one tackle and ashton jenty when he
02:59ran inside and saw there was nothing went right to the edge and right around those guys chop robinson
03:04he's in a whole lot of trouble and i don't think anybody that called in or anybody that's a
03:09dolphins fan uh shot him any bail yesterday let's just put it that way well and that's
03:14like prime marshall lynch yesterday man my god yeah he was just he was he was running through guys but
03:20it's like when the dolphins have so few players that people actually really believe in in a rebuild
03:25year it's like chop robinson needs to show up like if somebody's gonna show up in that game he's got

03:31be one of those guys to me the frustration too is like we're a year behind schedule like we should
03:37have done this this should have done a year ago yeah right we had that kind of lame duck year

03:42year where we we you know went through the motions again with mike and tua and you know so now

03:48doing this and it's like you're asking a fan base that doesn't want a playoff game in 26 years to

03:53patient again and uh you know i look again this season is like you just want to see some light

04:00the end of the tunnel at some point you want to see guys you know continuing to to grow and

04:07and uh yeah i i thought that if they were going to put together a good game it was maybe

04:13and you were going to see some uh just some creativity maybe and uh you know try to try to
04:20find a way to win
04:21that game but the dolphins just you know they weren't close in my mind i don't know you guys thought

04:25had a a shot in that game but it just didn't it didn't feel like in any aspect of that

04:30they had the better unit yeah well i mean the thing that really got me upset and thing that i
04:35think a lot of listeners got upset with last night a lot of fans got upset with last night is

04:39handed two golden opportunities when jalen wright returned the kick all the way to the 18 yard line
04:45we got 79 yard return zero points out of it and then uh dante trader jr got the interception
04:53and we got zero points and a punt out of it that's 14 points that we could have had which
04:59would have
04:59tied the game zero out of those two golden opportunities that's not good yeah i mean we
05:06had bad penalty like what was the juju brintz thing do we know what he said did we find out
05:10what he said
05:11so to get that penalty did he say something about the guy's mom like what happened at the end of
05:16that
05:16that the officials like we have to throw this flag like it was kind of weird jeff happily said that

05:20was told he was taunting and that was it and he said they even pressed him they said did he
05:25say
05:25something did they give an explanation of whether he was doing he goes i was just told that it was
05:29taunting and that is a new rule of emphasis because i saw it last night with the cowboys
05:33you know well the cowboys was a little more uh blatant with the idiot that was hold the ball out
05:36when he scored a touchdown but the new rule of emphasis is any type of taunting is an automatic
05:4115-yard penalty so i'm guessing it was more of him just kind of standing over the guy doing the
05:45whole incomplete thing but which he was not given an explanation come on yeah there was no explanation
05:50you got to allow some things like and i can't remember which game i was watching i had like a
05:56hundred games on like some dude scores a touchdown he jumps out of the goal post and then immediately
06:00penalty yeah that was stefan diggs with uh that was diggs yeah 10 yeah that was like uh that was

07:07very exciting saturday of football after uh the canes not a lot of takeaways for me from from the
07:15famu game um you know there's only so much you can take away when you look at uh miami just
07:23looked i
07:23mean it looked like a pro team against the high school team out there um there's just you know
07:28again not not a whole lot i think you can take away from that game can you get quite a
07:32test on friday
07:33though i think this wake forest game is going to be very interesting uh miami is still favored by
07:38three a little over three touchdowns going on the road in acc play so we'll we'll see do they put
07:45a
07:45put together another stanford type of score in that one i think wake forest is going to be a little
07:50bit of a tougher test uh for miami here uh so we got that game ohio state texas was a
07:56thriller
07:57on on saturday night guessing that game did uh did monsters and you saw oregon lose to oklahoma
08:02state yeah that made my saturday um there are a lot a lot of crazy stuff happening in uh in
08:09college football so we'll get to some of that as as we continue on it was a great sports weekend

08:15that was that's the kind of weekend that uh that we needed here with uh with some great nfl games
08:20uh at least the dolphins didn't screw you early right they they waited till the 425 the latest
08:26four o'clock kick uh they waited to uh to ruin your sunday so uh you got the whole one

08:32window in there to uh to enjoy some good football and then and then the dolphins come from the top
08:36ropes and uh and screw you as usual though we're starting to get used to it down here uh in
08:43uh in
08:43south florida but the dolphins will head out to uh to san francisco now they're going to stay out on
08:48the west coast all week by the way so if you're wondering where joe is he is uh he is
08:52out there in
08:53california with the dolphins i think joe's out in wine country although he doesn't drink wine
08:58so uh we'll we'll check in with joe though every day this week we will uh get his thoughts on

09:03one guessing uh he's not particularly pleased but we'll uh we'll check in with him as we continue on
09:10donno i do want to get some of these other games though man we had it with a great slate
09:14and uh some very interesting stuff that we saw throughout the weekend uh the one thing i gotta ask
09:19you though do you know what a catch is in the nfl i haven't for years specifically a catch is

09:26i saw two different plays in the one o'clock window yesterday i saw one where a guy went down
09:31his elbow hits the ball goes flying out and they said it was a catch then i saw another one
09:38where
09:38the guy goes down with the ball rolls on the ground the ball comes flying out and they said
09:43incomplete after they reviewed it yeah so i uh i gotta tell you man we made we made it that
09:49we're doing
09:49this again like we're doing this what is a catch thing again because the nfl just can't figure it out
09:54and they had in they are inconsistent as heck because they had two basically the same play
09:59in the one o'clock window and they ruled it different on both of them so uh we're trying
10:04to figure out what a uh what a catch is we're trying to figure out what the dolphins can do

10:10try to piece this thing together here uh yes uh nine five four i do not see the path to
