00:03Flowers, flowers, and more flowers. In fact, more than one million of them bursting with
00:09colour for the first day of Floriade.
00:12It's looking really, really nice. A lot of tulips. I'm from Sydney, so coming down to
00:17Canberra is really nice.
00:17The colours, how they're really pretty with the purples and the orange.
00:22We're very impressed. Beautiful tulips, lovely atmosphere, music, colour.
00:27Each garden bed has been designed to fit this year's theme, Feast of Flowers, celebrating
00:32the connection between gardens, food, and community.
00:35We have so many questions about how do you line it all up, the designs, how do you weed
00:40water. We love it.
00:42Over the next four weeks, the displays will evolve, meaning one visit might not be enough.
00:47Over time, you can see the designs changing, so please get on down at the beginning, middle
00:52of the festival, and at the end.
00:54It's not just about the flowers. There's plenty of entertainment as well, and a garden
01:00bed wouldn't be complete without a hand-painted gnome.
01:03We're very fortunate. We have very many Picassas here.
01:07A record crowd of more than half a million came through the gates last year, and if the
01:12weather stays this good, organisers expect even more will channel their inner flower this
01:17year.
01:17After the cold of winter, you just want to defrost and enjoy all the colour and warmth and fun,
01:23and it's a great way to kick off spring, isn't it?
01:26Spring off to a blooming good start.
01:29French revealing.
01:29Thank you gotta wait.
01:30It's fine.
