25 approved projects won’t fall under new framework

The federal government is promising new rules to limit the water, and energy demands of Australia’s booming data centre industry. But dozens of projects already approved are expected to escape those requirements. An ABC analysis has found this next generation of centres will be much bigger and more power hungry than those already operating.
