00:26I hope you're doing ok because I'm doing ok too.
00:29And as you can see on my desk right here, I have got the entire range of the Riot Squad's
00:41Kuro Juices.

00:45I'm probably mispronouncing it, I'm sure somebody in the comments can tell me how to actually
00:50pronounce it.

00:55I'm not sure.
00:56But yeah, I have all 8 flavours here, the entire range.
01:03And I'm kind of looking forward to all but two.
01:10And you'll probably know straight away which are the two I'm not really looking forward
01:14to because I've made it very clear that I cannot stand anything that has the cherry flavour.
01:22And the Sakura Nights has dark cherry Sakura as one of its flavours.
01:29So I'm a little bit unsure on that one.
01:32The other one I'm a little bit unsure of is the Ryu Berry or Ryu Berry.
01:39Again, not sure how to pronounce it.
01:41I'm sure someone in the comments would correct me on that, but this one has lychee in it.
01:47And lychee is one of those flavours that I don't really like.
01:54I'll vape it, but it's not really for me.
01:58Aside from those two, the rest of them look really, really good.
02:04I'm really interested in them.
02:06And I'm going to do all eight of these flavours in my first tasting of each of them.
02:15And I'm going to tell you what I think straight out the bottle.
02:18A brand new road test of each one.
02:23That is what we're going to do.
02:24And of course, I am going to be using my now two favourite devices to test these two.
02:32I've got the Sonder Q2 and the Sonder Q3.
02:37The Q2 is my all time favourite pod device.
02:41This is my daily go to device.
02:45It's the device I test all of my juices in that I'm reviewing.
02:50And now the Sonder Q3 basically allows me to do two at the same time.
02:57It's basically the same device, just with a slightly larger battery.
03:01And of course, I need pods.
03:03So I've got two already here and then I'm going to need one box and two box.
03:10There's eight pods.
03:13Let's just get into it.
03:19Okay, I've opened the eight pods I need for the eight different juices.
03:23And I just realised I only went through what two of the flavours were.
03:27I've gone through the Ryu Berry and the Sakura Knights.
03:31Let's have a quick look at what the other ones are.
03:34The next one is Tokyo Mule.
03:38And this has zesty lime, spicy ginger and crushed ice.
03:44I'm not going to lie.
03:46I'm actually really curious for that one.
03:49I like my traditional lemon and lime.
03:52And this has got your lime.
03:54And I'm quite a big fan of ginger as well.
03:57I do quite like ginger.
03:59So I'm interested for that one.
04:01The next one is the Umeshu plum.
04:05And again, my pronunciations are probably terrible.
04:09So if I do get any of them wrong, I apologise.
04:13But this one has Japanese plum, Ume with brown sugar and green apple.
04:21Then we have matcha latte, which is sweet matcha, condensed milk and vanilla.
04:29I'm not a massive fan of coffee flavours in and of themselves.
04:35But hopefully as this one is more of a mix, that might be nice.
04:39The next one is Kakigori blood.
04:45And that has blood orange, shaved ice and sweet syrup.
04:50So they're the three flavours in that.
04:52The next flavour is Akiba grape.
04:55And this has Japanese grape, Kyoho.
05:00I think that's how you pronounce that.
05:02And blackcurrant ice.
05:04And finally, the final flavour is Momo Fuji.
05:10Which is Japanese white peach, Fuji apple and shisho leaf.
05:17I don't think I've tried a flavour with shisho leaf before.
05:22Then again, Japanese grape, I haven't tried.
05:26Sweet matcha, condensed milk.
05:29There's something else.
05:30The Japanese plum, I don't think I've tried that before either.
05:34So there's a few new flavours here that I have yet to encounter.
05:38And I'm pretty excited for them.
05:41So let's go and get these bottles out of the box now.

05:55We have them all unboxed.
05:59Which is pretty good.
06:01Now I think I need to open the eight different pods we're going to use for these.
06:07So let me just get those open as well.
06:16Eight flavours, eight pods.
06:20Let's, let's, let's, let's fill the pods up now.

06:54Now go to the two newanı.

06:58okay there we go it's all done i have now filled the eight pods with the eight different flavors
07:05and something i will just point out whilst i was filling up i was trying to catch a whiff of
07:13which flavors would jump out at me or which flavors would stand out as being a little bit
07:20potent and only two of them actually presented themselves to my nose as i was filling up the
07:30first one was the umeshu plum that's the first one i could smell just by opening the bottle
07:38and the other one was the akiba grape aside from those two i didn't really smell anything
07:47from the other six bottles when i opened them to fill the pods so let's actually do a sniff test
07:54first we'll do the sniff test whilst the pods saturate just to give them chance to do it so
08:02let's do a proper sniff test on these so this is the ryu berry or ryu berry
08:12oh you know what now that that's under my nose
08:20that is actually smelling quite nice but it is very very black currants is what i'm getting in that
08:30smell wise for the ryu berry i can only really smell the black currant i'm not really smelling
08:39the dragon fruit or the lychee in that so it'd be interesting to see what that actually tastes like
08:46because black currant is a very powerful flavor anyway so black currant can very easily
08:55dominate and overpower other flavors that it may be paired with
09:00and i'm kind of getting that feeling with the smell but let's move on to the next smell test
09:06for sakura knights and let's see what we smell with this one now this is the cherry one
09:15so i'm kind of approaching this one with a little bit of caution
09:30okay the the first sniff i gave it i kind of got a little bit of a fruity smell
09:37but it wasn't really cherry i couldn't really associate that first sniff with cherry
09:44the second sniff that's when i got the cherry come through
09:54i do not think i'm going to like that one
09:58i think the sakura knights is possibly going to be one that i do not like purely on a personal
10:05basis
10:05because of the cherry the smell is kind of there and because i can smell the cherry in it it's
10:13kind
10:14of making me hesitant to try that one but again it's purely because i personally can't stand cherry
10:25nothing against any brand that does cherry flavors it's just a pure personal preference
10:32i can't do cherry but let's move on we have the tokyo mule this is the lime and the ginger
10:44so let's have a sniff of this one
10:49okay the first sniff i'm getting is very ginger it's a very ginger
11:00and i'm actually picking up the lime as well but the lime's like an undercurrent to the ginger i am
11:07really interested to with that one the smell of that is ginger bay if you know what ginger bay smells
11:16like that's kind of what i'm getting from that one let's move on to the umeshu plum
11:28make sure i still have the right box when i don't drop it
11:37so let's see what we get out of the plum because this is what i did smell before
11:44oh yeah that is very plummy that smells almost like a jam
11:53i kind of want to say it's like
11:57yeah it's very much like a jam
12:04yeah i would say it was a plum jam but i'm expecting that one based on the the smell
12:11i'm expecting the imeshu plum to be sweet so we'll find out when we come to use it
12:19next one is the matcha latte this is one i'm not too excited about
12:26for me i kind of read latte and instantly my head goes to coffee
12:32and i'm not a massive fan of coffee flavors so when let's actually give this a sniff and see what
12:39i
12:40am i actually smelling it
12:44i am getting a coffee smell from that
12:50i'm getting a definitive coffee smell what is the flavors in that again
12:56sweet matcha condensed milk and vanilla so they're the flavors in that
13:06i can only smell coffee i don't know if it's just my head assuming it's going to be coffee because
13:15it's called latte but that's all i can smell it's a very mild coffee smell
13:30hmm i don't know i'm a little bit unsure about that matcha latte one
13:37moving on anyway we have the khaki gory blood now this one i'm a little bit
13:47interested in because this is which one was this this was the orange one wasn't it
13:57oh oh now that is a strange one
14:04i'm guessing the orange but i'm getting something else come through with that as well
14:15okay this is going to be wrong i know it's going to be wrong but when i sniff the khaki
14:23gory blood
14:25my initial reaction as to what i can compare the smell to is a terry's chocolate orange
14:35that's what that smells like to me initially
14:39i'm actually curious for that one now uh akiba grape is the next one so let's give this one a
14:47quick sniff
14:54now again i'm getting a very strong black currant smell from that
15:00is that the black currant flavor akiba grape uh japanese grape and black currant ice it's got black
15:07currant ice in it i've said it before i said it not too long ago black currant is a very
15:15overpowering
15:16flavor and it can very easily overpower other flavors with within the juice if it's not balanced perfectly
15:26right and i can only smell black currant in that that's the only thing i'm picking up
15:36so i'm curious to see how that one works momofuji is the last one so let's have a sniff of
15:44this
15:51oh oh now i like the smell of that one
16:00okay so to me i'm getting the peach flavor like a little bit of a peach
16:07but the main thing i'm picking up in the smell is a green apple you know like the um what
16:15they call
16:16the granny smith apples that kind of flavor or that kind of smell is what i'm picking up more
16:24predominantly than the peach but there is a little bit of the peach there as well
16:34you know after the sniff test i kind of think the momofuji is going to be my favorite one
16:43purely based on the sniffs alone so now that we've done the sniff test all eight of these pods should
16:53now be fully saturated which means i can start to taste them now with the riot squad and this line
17:02of kuro what they've done they actually have fun with it they're not being i don't know if you know
17:10much about riot squad i'll be honest i don't know that much about the brand myself but they kind of
17:16come across as a brand that doesn't really take themselves too seriously they appear to like to
17:24have a laugh and a joke with what they do whilst producing quality goods and i love that if a
17:31come
17:31if a company or a brand starts taking themselves too seriously that's kind of the point they start
17:38going downhill but riot squad seems to just be having a laugh with it in a serious way they're having
17:45like they're not afraid to have a laugh and a joke with their customers not at their customers i've
17:54got to make that distinction with their customers you're involved in the joke and the reason i say
18:02this is because on the website where they advertise this on their official website i can't remember the
18:10exact phrasing now i will pop a screenshot up on the screen but it's something like you'll either
18:17love these japanese inspired juices or you'll find yourself running back to strawberry ice
18:25and i don't know why that kind that one phrase actually really tickled me i thought that was hilarious
18:32don't ask me to explain why it just tickled me i liked it it was a good little joke and
18:38you know what
18:39that one little line kind of i kind of feel that they're giving you permission to try them
18:48and if you don't like these flavors riot squad are kind of saying yeah it's okay they're not for you
18:57go back to strawberry ice that's the way i read it and for some reason that just like i really
19:04liked
19:05that just that one little line of marketing their entire website is actually pretty good um i can't
19:13link it on youtube but if you go on google and type in riot squad kuro it's the top result
19:21i just can't
19:23give a link because of youtube is overly sensitive but yeah go on google type in riot squad kuro
19:31top result you can have a look yourself even that what i've just done might be a little bit too
19:40much for
19:40youtube we will see i don't know but let's move along i'm going to start with the ryu berry ryu
19:50berry
19:52and this is the dragon fruit lychee and blackcurrant let's have a go

20:21the one saving grace this flavor has i did say i'm not a massive fan of lychee
20:31and to me that is only lychee is in the background it's not the predominant flavor
20:46but the blackcurrant is the dominant flavor so let's have a look at the list again here so it's
20:56dragon fruit lychee and blackcurrant i don't know if they're listing the flavors in the order that they're
21:05supposed to that you're supposed to taste them but i'm going to assume not because to me blackcurrant
21:14is the most dominant flavor within the ryu berry then it's dragon fruit and then there's a touch of
21:22that lychee right on the underside
21:35i mean the lychee is actually working with the flavors
21:50yeah i actually like that it's like the more i vape it the a brand new pod
21:56the juice is not going to be its actual flavor the first few drags you do need to run it
22:03through a
22:04couple of puffs before the flavor starts to show and now that i've run it through a little bit
22:12the lychee is kind of fading more into the background it's like it's becoming fainter and fainter
22:28the blackcurrant is still right at the top it's still the dominant flavor but it kind of
22:34tastes like the dragon fruit is slowly creeping up on that blackcurrant as if the dragon fruit
22:42is starting to steal a little bit of the spotlight from blackcurrant
23:05a few rapid fire puffs it's the same thing blackcurrant is still dominant dragon fruit
23:13has come a little bit more forward the lychee's kind of taking a step back
23:21overall that's not a bad flavor i would easily use that one easily i don't think it has great
23:31all-day vape potential i think after an hour or two of using it you might want to change it
23:39out
23:39just for something else so i don't think it has got a good adv
23:47but for yeah for what it is i'm not going to complain i actually really like that raggyberry one
23:53well not really like it i like it enough now sakura knights i might as well get the one which
23:59i'm dreading the most out of the way now i'd hadn't i we'll just move down the list sakura knights
24:07this is
24:07the cherry one i'm either going to love this one or absolutely hate it purely for the fact it's cherry
24:17so um yeah here we go
24:43i don't like that one
24:46um
24:47i'm
24:50the cherry flavor is quite strong and it's a very potent cherry it's not very sweet
25:04like i've tried cherry flavors before that had a little bit of sweetness to them and i've managed to
25:11struggle through using them there's practically no sweetness in that what i'm picking up and the cherry is
25:19very very powerful it's not for me on a personal note if you like your cherry flavors
25:28and you like them to be a little bit less sweet or not on the sweet side
25:34then you would probably love sakura knights but for me on a personal note no i don't like that one
25:42let's move on to the tokyo mule and let's see what this one's like now is this the lemon and
25:49ginger one
25:50lime and ginger okay let's try this one now
26:01that is ginger bae that is ginger bae
26:16i'm not really picking up the lime i'm only really getting the ginger
26:30that does taste exactly like ginger beer to me it's there is a touch of sweetness in there
26:41but not too much it's like just a a hint of sweetness coming through in that as well
26:56i actually like that one because i do actually like my ginger beer
27:02and that tastes exactly like ginger beer to me
27:07that is a bit of a winner that reminds me of a drink what i drink quite a bit
27:14right let's move on to the umeshu plum now this is one of the ones that did hit me in
27:22the face when i
27:23fill the pod up so we'll have a look and see what this is like to actually vape
27:42oh no now that one i actually really like i really like that one
28:08yeah you can taste the plum the plum is the primary flavor there
28:16and it's supported very very nicely by the green apple flavor it's not being overpowered by the green
28:26apple but the green apple is enough to support the plum and make it a more of a a 3d
28:34taste if you like
28:36it's more 3d it's more three-dimensional i kind of really like that
28:51okay we've done four so far out of the four i've tasted the umeshu plum is definitely my favorite so
29:02far out of the four we've tested we've still got four more to go though
29:14i can see me finishing that bottle of umeshu plum very very quickly very quickly
29:24yeah that is easily the best one so far
29:33there is a touch of sweetness in it
29:38but again it's a very mild sweetness it's it's a sweetness that you are
29:43you can kind of get the hint that there's some sweetness there but it's not overpowering you
29:51i really like that one
29:54right what i'm going to do i'm going to go and grab a bottle of coke because i need to
29:59reset my
30:00mouth i think i've kind of got an amalgamation of all four flavors in there so i'm just going to
30:04go and
30:05swill some coke really quick and then i'll come back to test the other four see you in a second
30:11okay i'm back i and to be fair i probably should have been doing that between each of the flavors
30:20if you're not sure what i'm on about then coca-cola is a really good cleansing drink for your mouth
30:31if
30:31you're testing multiple juices like this like i'm doing right now swill your mouth out and have a
30:38drink of coca-cola between each flavor because i've tried a lot of different drinks and coke is the only
30:46one that really seems to reset your palate when you're testing so many juices like this little trick
30:53i've learned from so many years in the industry but um yeah let's carry on matcha latte
31:01i think i'll go with the sonda q3 keep them a d4 and four
31:10now the matcha latte it did smell of coffee when i gave it the sniff test
31:16and i'm not a massive fan of coffee flavors so i'm a little bit wary of this one
31:25but let's give it a go
31:34that is
31:37that is not for me
31:42yeah that is really not for me you know i should probably use it in the same device
31:46as well shunter just to see how it is but
31:54nope
31:58okay the matcha latte one
32:03i can't quite believe i'm going to say this
32:06the matcha latte one is worse than the cherry one for me
32:13i would rather vape the sakura nights the cherry flavored one
32:19than the matcha light i mean it's not a very strong coffee flavor
32:26but it's enough to it catches you in the back of the throat with that coffee flavor
32:33what's it got on it sweet matcha condensed milk and vanilla i am not tasting any vanilla in that
32:40let me brave it again
33:04see i'm getting the matcha taste which
33:08is enough of a coffee taste for me to kind of drown everything else out
33:14condensed milk i'm not picking up at all
33:18the vanilla is kind of the aftertaste so after you've exhaled and after you've blown the cloud out
33:27that's when i'm picking up a very very faint trace of the vanilla
33:35i yeah i'm actually not sure well i am sure i do not like the matcha the matcha latte one
33:45probably a personal thing but um well we're five in now
33:52and three of them i would actually use let's move on to the next one the khaki gory blood
34:00was this the orange flavored one i think this was the orange one let's um have a taste
34:14oh
34:16oh now that is a nice difference especially after the matcha
34:29i like that one
34:37now when i did the sniff test on that khaki gory blood
34:42i did say the smell reminded me of a chocolate orange
34:48now that i'm vaping it i'm not tasting chocolate anymore it was only the smell
34:54this is orange what else is in there where to put the box here right let's have a look
35:02shaved ice and sweet syrup
35:14i actually really like that one
35:19that is a good flavor it is orange i kind of get the feeling there's a little bit of cooling
35:26in
35:26there as well there's a little bit of coolada a little bit of ws23
35:30it's nice cooling sensation with it and it is sweet which i'm guessing is that sweet syrup
35:36but the orange isn't overpowering because i've had some orange flavors before now that just
35:43assaults you with an over-the-top orange flavor this one isn't doing that this is a nice smooth orange
36:00it's almost like an orange cordial if i can describe it that way
36:17yeah when i say an orange cordial i mean them like the concentrated orange drinks that you dilute
36:22like one part to five parts water that's kind of what it reminds me of and i really do like
36:29that
36:31let's move on the next one is or the penultimate one is the akiba grape so let's give this one
36:39a go now
36:41and see what this one's like let me just swirl out with a bit more coke
36:45wash my mouth out reset my mouth
36:57there we go
37:00akiba grape
37:04i think this is the one that also had black currant in it if i remember right
37:11let's have a go
37:19oh
37:34okay the black currant it has got black currant in it and i'm confident in saying that because
37:43the black currant is the dominant flavor
37:48that is all i'm really picking up out of it
37:59i mean there is something else underneath
38:07hmm
38:21right i think with that one
38:26i think the grape
38:29or the grape flavor
38:31is trying to come through
38:34but the problem is black currant is such a powerful flavor
38:39that black currant is just dominating the entire flavor palette
38:43i can almost almost almost pick up a hint of grape in the aftertaste
38:53but it's predominantly black currant
39:03i mean it's not a bad flavor at all it's not a bad flavor in any stretch
39:10it's just when you read the name of the juice as akiba grape
39:16and the predominant flavor is 99 black currant
39:22kind of throws you off a little bit
39:32i mean it's not a bad flavor it is a nice flavor i could easily vape that one
39:39i could probably vape that for an entire day without having to change the flavor
39:44but it is predominantly black currant and it's just that little tiny
39:50subtle aftertaste that might be the grape but the black currant is that strong
39:56i'm not sure if it is the grape that's trying to come through
40:00so it's a nice flavor
40:04when i will vape i just think the name of it the akiba grape
40:08a little bit misleading because it's black currant is what i'm getting from that
40:14that is the predominant flavor
40:17and finally we have the momo fiji
40:21so let's have a go at this one
40:33oh wow
40:38okay
40:49i have definitely saved the best flavor to last
40:56that momo fiji is the best one out of all eight
41:07i can taste the apple
41:10i can taste the peach and they're not fighting each other
41:15the peach and the apple are coming through in equal amounts
41:18and instead of fighting for the spotlight
41:22they're kind of sharing it
41:24that that is really well balanced
41:27really well balanced
41:38and it works
41:42that works
41:52i really like that momo fuji
41:56that is that is by far
41:59the best one out of all eight
42:01that's the best flavor out of all of them
42:03so let's rank them
42:06or let's not rank them because that'll come after i've run through the entire bottle of all of them
42:13maybe not the matcha latte i think i may swerve that one it really isn't for me
42:20the cherry one i might also swerve i'm not sure that's for me either
42:27the top flavors
42:29in fact you know let me just i'll pull these two down
42:34because i don't think i'm going to use those two flavors again
42:39um i do not like those two
42:44the momo fiji though is an excellent flavor i really really like that momo fiji one the other
42:53one that i really really like is the tokyo mule tastes exactly like ginger beer to me
43:01i kind of love that
43:03i think the kangaroo blood
43:07is kind of getting up there a little bit as well it's not going quite as high as the tokyo
43:12or the momo but the kangaroo blood is also a really nice flavor
43:19ryu berry is possibly going to come down a little bit and i think the akiba grape
43:26and umeshu plum are going to stay where they are
43:29so the higher they are up towards your screen
43:33and is the better juice the lower they are is the worst
43:38i'm actually going to move that matcha latte one down a little bit more
43:42um yeah that is how i would do it from top to bottom actually let's do it like that
43:50so i'd do momo fiji as number one tokyo mule kangaroo blood
43:57imeshu plum and akiba grape are kind of the same place
44:01then it'd be ryu berry and then right at the bottom is going to be sakura nights and matcha latte
44:08that's how i would rank them straight out of the bottle
44:12but i am going to do the full thing i'm going to go away and use the entire bottles of
44:17these juices
44:19and then they're going to get ranked on the vape mixer scoring system

44:43of where i rank every single juice i've ever tested

44:53that is all eight riot squad kuru juices
44:58kuro juices correct myself
45:03tested and i've give you my opinions on them straight out of the bottle
45:08so um hopefully you found this worth it
45:11and again these rankings i've give them the the positions i've give them here
45:17are purely subjective they're my personal thoughts and my personal opinions on these particular
45:25juices so you might try one that i've really praised like the momofiji and you might not like it
45:32the matcha latte one which i hate you might love
45:37everyone has different tastes and what i've done here with them
