00:22And Oxford have very, very kindly sent me a device to have a look at.
00:29Now I must say, I am not sponsored.
00:31They sent me this and they basically said, give us your honest thoughts on this.
00:36We want an honest review of what you actually think.
00:40Good and bad.
00:42So that's what I'm going to do.
00:44I am going to open this up.
00:45We're going to have a look at it and we're going to see.
00:49It is a little bit damaged on the box.
00:52I'm going to blame that on the courier because it was seemingly packed very nice.
00:58And they decided to forcefully shove it through my letterbox, which is why I'm, I'm going to guess that was
01:07the cause of the damage on the box.
01:10So yeah, let's blame Royal Mail.
01:13Now, the last time I looked at an Oxford device, it was this thing.
01:21And it was okay.
01:23This was the X-Lim Go.
01:26This, what they've sent is the X-Lim Go Lite.
01:29It's a newer version.
01:31My issue with this, when I opened it, was the actual smell of the device itself.
01:39It stunk.
01:49There is a weird smell coming from that.
01:57Smells a bit like chlorinate, like chlorine and paint, not like wet paint.
02:06Okay, and that is quite a strong smell because I noticed it while I was trying to look through the
02:11instructions.
02:11But that smell, after a few days, did eventually fade away.
02:18And I was able to use this device.
02:20And it's not actually a bad device.
02:23Once the smell kind of dissipated, it was okay.
02:28Airflow is touch on the restrictive side, but it's adequate enough to use.
02:34Had good flavour volume, 3mm tank on it, USB recharge, USB-C recharge.
02:43Apart from the smell, I didn't really have any issues with this device.
02:50Is it the best pod system I've used?
02:53No, not by a long shot.
02:56But, it's actually not bad.
02:58I didn't have any major issues with it.
03:01So, it is a good device on its own.
03:05Now, we have the Exlim Go Lite.
03:07Let's have a look at this.
03:09So, 3mm tank.
03:13Is that right with the TPD compliance here in the UK?
03:18I'll have to double check that.
03:20Light pink.
03:21And we can see it is the light pink.
03:23I don't care about the colour.
03:25And it does say one charge is two days use.
03:30I am going to be having a look at that.
03:32That's something I'm going to test.
03:35That's an extraordinary claim.
03:38On the side, we have the ohms.
03:40And it looks like they've sent me a 0.8 ohm.
03:43So, I'm guessing they watch my videos because 0.8 ohm is my own personal preferred ohm of a pod.
03:51So, they've sent me the right one, which is good.
03:54On the back, we have all the usual bump.
03:59And we have the scratch and check.
04:01On this side, a 1,000 mAh battery.
04:073mm refillable pod.
04:09Adjustable airflow.
04:10So, an RGB battery indicator.
04:14And it does say sample on the top.
04:17So, let's actually get this guy open.
04:22I'm going to have to rip into it.
04:24I think that was in there quite firm.
04:27Now, the most important thing for me is, is this going to stink?
04:33Just like the other one did.
04:34So, um.
04:43Okay.
04:44I am pleased to confirm that there is no horrible smell with this one.
04:49It just smells new.
04:52There's no horrible, disgusting smell like there was with this one.
04:57So, that is already winning.
05:00So, anyway, let's get this guy out of the packaging properly.
05:08It's very well packed.
05:10Nice little foam thing there.
05:12I do kind of like that.
05:14Now, is that a button?
05:18No, I don't think it is.
05:19It kind of looks like one.
05:27Okay.
05:34You know what?
05:36First impressions.
05:38I am kind of liking that.
05:41You know what?
05:42It's a little bit heavier than this one.
05:46Than the X-Lim Go.
05:48I had to remind myself of the name then.
05:49Slightly heavier than this.
05:51And I have said before now, sometimes, or usually, the weight of a device is generally an indicator of quality.
06:03Now, I've already said this one, apart from the horrible smell when I opened it, was actually a pretty decent
06:08device.
06:09And this one's a bit heavier.
06:13That might be the larger battery, this two days charge.
06:17And it looks like we have got some paperwork in here.
06:23Let's get that out.
06:24So, very small user manual.
06:30Very small text, but it is readable.
06:36Oh, we've got a warranty policy on here.
06:42And what's this other bit?
06:46So, it's basically telling us all the different pods that are available.
06:54Oh, and it's saying number one best-selling pod system, all compatible.
07:01So, does that mean that's...
07:03In fact, now I'm looking at it, it does look like the same pod.
07:16Actually, no, this one is a 2mm pod, a 0.8 ohm 2mm.
07:20There is a slight difference, but the connections and the inlets are the same.
07:27So, yeah.
07:29In fact, you know what?
07:30I am curious.
07:312mm pod.
07:32Hey, it fits.
07:39I'll take that.
07:41Put that back in there so I know which is the right one.
07:48Airflow is different on this.
07:49I'm just noticing.
07:50I did notice a little difference.
07:53Look at the difference between the old one and the new one.
07:58That airflow is much more open.
08:01So, let's actually fill this up.
08:04And then we'll give it a proper go.
08:05Now, I've got a choice to make here.
08:07I think we should kind of keep it in the family.
08:10So, I'm looking at an Oxford device.
08:13And I have a choice of three Ox Passion juices.
08:21And jelly bean vanilla is kind of jumping out at me.
08:26But so is Hubber.
08:29I think I'm going to go for the Hubber.
08:33So, we'll use an Ox Passion juice in the Oxford device.
08:37And we'll see how we get on with that.
08:40So, I'm just going to very quickly fill this up.
08:56Okay, so that was actually very easy to actually fill up.
09:01I did get a tiny bit of a leak.
09:05But that's my fault.
09:07I slightly overfilled it.
09:09So, and even then it's a very tiny leak.
09:15Well, it's not really a leak.
09:16It's just me being a little bit excited and slightly overfilling it.
09:22So, I will take responsibility for that one.
09:25Now, let's rip that off.
09:31And connect it in.
09:32A little green light.
09:33That does look like a button on the front.
09:36I can't get over that.
09:40It kind of, it even sticks out a little bit.
09:46And I can find myself keeping on pressing it.
09:50It's like I want it to be a button.
09:55Is it a button?
09:57No, it's just LED.
10:05Okay.
10:06I'm sure I'll get used to that not being a button at some point.
10:09So, what I'm going to do.
10:11I'm going to just leave it to one side now for five minutes.
10:16Whilst that saturates.
10:18I'm not going to vape it straight away.
10:20I'm going to give it a few minutes to fully saturate.
10:23And then we'll come back and have a look at it.
10:27And we are back.
10:28So, what I did whilst waiting for this one to saturate.
10:33Is I actually also filled the exact same juice.
10:36The Hubbard.
10:37Into my Geek Vape Sonder Q2.
10:41Which I did get the laser engraving done on.
10:45The reason is because I haven't tried this juice before.
10:49And this is the device I know works for me with juices.
10:54This is the device I test all of my juices with.
10:57So, if I've got the same juice in both.
11:00And in this one is the known standard.
11:04It allows me to directly compare the juice between the two devices.
11:09Because believe it or not.
11:11Each device can make the juice taste ever so slightly different.
11:18So, by testing it in one that I know.
11:21I know what this does to the juice.
11:23I know what impact it has.
11:26It will give me a better idea of how good.
11:29Or how bad.
11:31This one is handling that juice.
11:34But, I think it's time we give it a go.
11:36It's had more than enough time to fully saturate.
11:39It's got a few bubbles in there.
11:42Airflow is fully open.
11:45In fact, I just thought.
11:46I've not actually looked around the device properly, have we?
11:48So, here is the front.
11:51Here is the fake button that is just the LED.
11:56Octavia branding at the bottom.
11:58On the side we have the air intake.
12:02On the bottom, just some CE marks.
12:06On the other side we have the USB-C.
12:09And on the back we have this nice little, very simple pattern with the X-Lim Go light.
12:17Very simple device in terms of design.
12:21Yeah, anyway, let's try it now.
12:34My first initial puff there.
12:36The first inhale.
12:40Tiny bit of spit back.
12:46Again, a little bit of bubbling on that second puff.
12:49That might just be because it's a fresh fill.
12:53Might just take a little bit of time to come through.
13:06I'm pretty impressed with that.
13:11It does seem to have the same problem as what the X-Lim Go had.
13:16These pods do come pretty loose.
13:20Like, you can see how easy that is to move sideways.
13:24It doesn't come out very easy.
13:27But that level of flexibility, it doesn't appear that they fix that.
13:49I do still have some juice in that one.
13:53Here's my verdict already.
13:57Out of these two, this one is the much, much better device.
14:04It's a lot better.
14:06The airflow is much more open.
14:08The airflow on this kind of leans it a little bit towards a DTL style when it's fully open.
14:17I want to say it's quite fully DTL.
14:27It's like right on the cusp of DTL, which is really, really good for a pod system.
14:34And if you're an empty, I'm going to just slide it up.
14:38Oh, there is actually a smaller one.
14:48This is a lot more restrictive, but I'm now figuring this out.
14:55This, when it's up, is a mouth-to-lung airflow setting.
15:07Yeah, and when it's all the way down.
15:17Yeah, it's like just on the cusp of being a DTL airflow when it's fully open.
15:25Let's try a half and half.
15:27Halfway in, halfway out.
15:33That is actually better for a mouth-to-lung.
15:38So with that airflow, they have actually improved it a lot over the Exilim gun.
15:44That airflow is much more improved.
15:50And, you know what, I actually kind of like that flavour as well.
15:53Let's actually do the comparison with the known device.
16:04Hmm.
16:13Hang on.
16:22Okay, you know what?
16:24I know that Oxford sent me this and said, give us the feedback on it.
16:31I actually kind of like it.
16:35I like that flavour as well, that hubba flavour.
16:40You know what I'm kind of liking a little bit more?
16:44It's very, very close.
16:47Very close.
16:49But in terms of flavour, this is kind of doing it a little bit better than the Q2.
16:59It's a little bit more rounded.
17:01It's a little bit more full.
17:03Tiny bit more of a punch at the back of the throat with the flavour.
17:18Yeah.
17:27It is.
17:27And you know what?
17:28You know me on this channel.
17:30I love the Sonder Q2.
17:32This is my favourite pod system.
17:35Like, I use it for everything.
17:38This is actually making the flavour taste.
17:42It's not a massive amount, but it's a noticeable amount.
17:46The flavour is better in this one than it is in the Sonder.
17:50So, in terms of this one, which is one of the older models,
17:55it kicks this one out of the water.
17:57So, this one's not even in the conversation anymore.
18:01That's gone.
18:02It easily beats that one.
18:06And I'm actually torn now.
18:11I'm actually torn.
18:13This is my favourite device of all time.
18:16And this has got...
18:18This is handling the flavour better.
18:23Flavour-wise, compared to this one,
18:25yes, it's the same pod, so compatible pods.
18:27That should actually be something I try.
18:32So, that's the Hubbard pod in this one.
18:57Um, um...
19:00Yeah.
19:01Yeet.
19:04That actually landed in the bin.
19:06I'm not even joking.
19:08That was a good shot.
19:10This even handles the flavour better than the Oxford Go.

19:24The only thing I can give feedback on
19:27is you need to fix that with the pods.
19:30That is basically it.
19:33Aside from that,
19:36the pod being a little bit loose,
19:40I have got no other complaints with that.
19:43It's actually slightly edging out
19:47one of my all-time favourite pods.
19:54Yeah, it's slightly beating that guy.
19:57You know what?
19:58It's rare I do this,
20:00but Oxford?
20:04Yeah, well done.
20:06It's not very often that I get impressed.
20:09Or very impressed with a pod.
20:11And you've actually got one here
20:13that I am pretty impressed with.
20:17Yeah.
20:20Yeah, I've got the one complaint.
20:24If you want to get really nitty-picky
20:27and like really pedantic,
20:30this looks a little bit too much like a button for me.
20:34I kind of really want to push it
20:36and for something to happen when I push it.
20:39But that's just a little tiny niggly thing.
20:44That's it.
20:45That's all I've got.
20:46So, yeah.
20:48Well done, Oxford.
20:50And you know what?
20:51I should probably cover this juice as well.
20:53It's hubba-bubba.
20:55It's like the fruity, strawberry-ish bubblegum flavour.
21:06Like a tutti-fruity, strawberry-taking-the-lead
21:11kind of bubblegum flavour on that
21:13is what I'm kind of getting.
21:14And it's a nice flavour.
21:19So, yeah.
21:20The flavour is a winner.
21:23And the device...
21:25I don't like you anymore, Oxford.
21:28You've made me kind of question
21:30my all-time favourite device.
21:32So, there we go.
21:35I'm not sure what to do with myself now.
21:37I'm going to go and use this guy some more.
