00:16hi guys and welcome back to the vape mixer channel i hope you're doing okay because

00:21i'm doing okay too and i have a little bit of an interesting one for you today

00:28this thing now um this is the cigar mod x and i know a question you're probably jumping out

00:42straight away with is but why is it not in a box why is it in a little baggie and

00:48the answer is

00:49this is a pre-production prototype what i've managed to get my hands on there's actually

00:58two of them in here and what this is i picked this up at the vapor expo

01:06and this device is a two mil fill-it-yourself pod device with rechargeable batteries

01:16where every single part of it can be customized and changed from what the guy was telling me

01:24they have a couple of different batteries what you can put in them a couple of different cases

01:30these are just prototypes it's only like stickers stuck on the tube at the minute but apparently

01:36they're going to have proper like printed housings then you have customizable cartridges i think he said

01:46this was a 0.6 in terms of ohm but he said different ranges will come and you apparently get

01:55different

01:56styles of mouthpiece as well and like i said i've picked up two of them fully customizable refillable

02:04pod kit where you can change any part of it that you want the only two bits i've got that

02:12are unique or

02:13different is the housing everything else is the same two of the same batteries two of the same pods

02:20two of the same mouthpieces that's just what i got but apparently when these release you can pick up

02:28whatever variation they decide to unleash so i'm going to fill both of these and we're going to give

02:35them a go and see how they work now because i have to fill them myself i do need to

02:43pick a couple of

02:44juices out so the first juice i've chosen for one of them is going to be a habibi tang bang

02:53this is one i tried at the expo very very citrusy flavor so i'm curious to try that one and

03:02apparently it's now becoming a thing on my channel where a certain brand makes a cameo appearance

03:09in almost every single one of my videos now this one's gonna get a kayuki i'm gonna go for the

03:16zuko

03:18i'm gonna try that one in the green one but you guys have started commenting apparently kayuki you're

03:25popping up in a lot of my videos now even when the video has nothing to do with kayuki they

03:31still kind

03:31of pop up i never actually noticed that but you guys are so there we go it is a good

03:39juice brand though

03:41it's one of my favorite juice brands so yeah i think we just actually get on with building these

03:48because they're very simple to actually put together from what he was showing me now the expo

03:54was a couple of weeks ago now i have kind of forgot but looking at them they look pretty simple

04:01and

04:02i'll tell you what i don't think kayuki wants to be used in this video i can't open that bowl

04:09where's big ronnie here we go big ronnie will always get it open for me

04:18i don't know why he always seems to have this button this issue with 10 mil bottles some of

04:22them just never want to actually open but there we go now what he said

04:30these are the large holes on the top this is your tank

04:36and i'm kind of trying to remember what he said but from what he said

04:41you just pop the juice on here and let it soak in

04:48i mean it's it is actually sucking it in

04:56i do have to squeeze relatively slowly though because

05:03that has a tendency to overflow

05:08i'm looking at where the juice is up to this is not going to be a very fast process

05:19this is going to take a little bit of time i think so um so i'm just going to keep

05:25filling this up

05:27and i might switch to filling both of them at the same time while this one soaps

05:36right yeah i'm going to speed this up a little bit

05:45oh i'm just going to stop the speed up there for a minute because i'm filling this one and one

05:50of the

05:51metal rings has just fallen off

05:54and pop that back on

05:57again i do need to give the caveat these are prototype pre-production versions so

06:05a few mistakes we have to kind of allow for a couple of mistakes with the actual build of these

06:11purely because the fact that they are pre-production but um yeah okay back to the speed up

06:45okay so i am getting a couple of points already from this and i know i've said it a couple

06:53of times and i

06:54need to keep it in my own head more than anything these are prototype versions

07:02so they're not the final production version yet these are prototypes i'm already having a couple of

07:09issues with them which hopefully will be worked out before these do actually go into production

07:17so the main issue i'm having is both of these juices that's the uh habibi one one of them is

07:26leaking

07:29in fact they're both actually leaking although one of them is leaking more than the other

07:37now one thing i also noticed is one of the pods the one that i've been putting the habibi in

07:45seem to be a lot more open to accepting the juice i think is the best way i can describe

07:53it it seems

07:55easier to fill up this one with the habibi but again look at that leak what's coming out of there

08:07um the one i put the kuyuki in isn't leaking it leaked a tiny drop but that one isn't leaking

08:18but the pod that i put the kuyuki in seemed a little bit more resistive or it seemed to resist

08:26at setting the juice a little bit more i can't give you a reason why because both of these juices

08:36are 50 50 juices although looking at the juice side by side the habibi one does appear to be a

08:46little bit

08:47thinner than the kuyuki i don't know if that's the flavorings or the nicotine what's in them

08:54the kuyuki one is a 10 milligram and the habibi is a 20

09:01and the habibi does just appear a little bit more watery which may explain why it went into the pod

09:08a

09:08little bit easier might also explain why it's leaking out a little bit easier as well

09:16which is something the kuyuki juice doesn't appear to be having an issue but yeah that's not leaking

09:21at all the one i've put kuyuki in but the one i put the habibi in again nothing against the

09:28juice brand

09:29i just don't think this particular pod prototype is set for that particular wateriness of juice

09:38when the kuyuki is slightly thicker than the habibi yes it's a very tedious painstaking process

09:47to fill this pod up but it works a bit better because it's slightly thicker yeah it takes longer but

09:55it's not going to leak out and i think we've reached an equilibrium with this one now where it doesn't

10:04appear to be leaking i'm going to build the kuyuki one first because this pod actually sits directly on

10:15the battery so the way that works the battery will go into the housing and then the pod sits on

10:24the

10:24battery like this and in fact you can see that's activating already there so oh and it would help

10:33if i didn't drop the pod as well that would be good so very easy to actually put these together

10:38i should probably mention the batteries are usbc rechargeable

10:46another little point i'm going to just raise i'm not sure it's um a major issue but you actually have

10:55to fully dismantle this guy to charge the battery because the charging port is on the battery itself

11:03usbc just plugs in i i fully charged them already which is why it only flashed green for a second

11:09but just to highlight the point there and you'll see now to charge these devices you've got to rip them

11:16to pieces so the battery just drops in

11:23and it's a little bit on the loose side

11:26shakes around in there quite a bit and the kuyuki one

11:33just slots in on the top now i'm trying to follow the instructions that the guy gave me

11:40at the expo so what he said is you fill the pod and then remove this and that actually came

11:47out a

11:47lot easier than i thought it would but um you remove this and throw it away so um yoink

11:57and the mouthpiece slides on and if i just pull out can you see these little tiny notches here

12:08there's one there and one just on the other side these lock into these little lines on the mouthpiece

12:14so you can lock the lock everything together so push the mouthpiece in

12:22and eventually it should turn and click oh no i've got it that that's in that's locked

12:30right so i can now remove the rubber stopper

12:36and there it is there's our filled up

12:46just having a look around it there's the air intake right here

12:53only one of them oh no there is two there's one on the other side as well

12:58have you stopped leaking so i can build the other one i think it has i am a little bit

13:04wary

13:06with the habibi pod at the minute

13:11purely because they sit directly on top of the battery which means if the pod leaks

13:18it's going to leak directly onto the battery and the only thing separating the positive and negative

13:25is this one little white piece of card here which

13:31in fact i'm actually curious now yeah that one little white piece of card

13:36is literally a sticker

13:40again pre-production

13:43uh pre-production prototype we have to allow them certain things like that like that this is not the

13:50final version but um that is something i hope they address before they do release this

13:59because that is not a very good insulation from that battery especially if the pod is going to leak

14:05juice like it was but i'm gonna go for it anyway i am a well-known idiot by this point

14:14so you know me

14:15i'm gonna just go ahead and do it yoink mouthpiece

14:23when i line up the slots there it is

14:27rubber seal

14:30and there we go we have the purple habibi device and the green kuyuki device

14:39no i i'm they're not actually called the habibi and kuyuki devices i just need to clarify i'm just

14:44calling them that so i know which is which the habibi has the habibi juice and the kuyuki has the

14:52kuyuki

14:52juice that's just so i can tell them apart let's actually have a go with these now

15:06oh

15:10i'm gonna be honest i was fully expecting

15:14because we have to fill them up ourselves in the way which you saw

15:18i was expecting there to be quite a bit of spit back

15:22from it i'm guessing that's where these things come in i'm guessing these block the juice

15:29from becoming a spit pack but um yeah

15:42there's a little tiny bit of popping but i'm not getting much spit back with it

16:00i'm gonna hold this next to the mic and i hope that the mic picks that up

16:10uh i'm just going to rip this apart again because that

16:16started firing itself that has leaked

16:24exactly what i just said would happen

16:29with the kuyuki juice look at the top of that battery

16:35so exactly what i just said i was worried about happening has actually happened it's actually gone

16:43and covered the entire battery shell

16:52i had what three puffs off it

16:57and then oh yeah i don't know if you'll see down there seeing that bottom corner there

17:05that has actually leaked out quite a lot of juice

17:11can i get you to pour out how much juice have you actually leaked i'm just going to try and

17:21not quite enough to actually rip out but it is visible in there you can see the juice at the

17:28bottom

17:29i haven't actually used the habibi one yet

17:34and look at the bottom of the pod there's leakage there

17:44again i haven't even used this one the top of the battery has juice on it

17:49so i do need to again reiterate to myself this is a prototype it's a pre-production prototype

18:02but several major issues with it which as it's pre-production

18:09i am aware that zigam watched my videos so let me try and structure this in a more of a

18:15feedback way

18:17there are issues with this

18:19there are big issues with this i'm not even going to use the one i put habibi into

18:26purely for the risk of it

18:31see there's the one negative wire i've just caught the tissue on that but um

18:40yeah so let's start right at the beginning i love the concept love love love the concept a fully

18:48customizable pod kit that you can put your own juice in and change every little thing about

18:54love that love that love that concept that's about as far as i can go with things i like about

19:04this

19:06i'm not going to do the build quality because again pre-production so build quality i will ignore

19:14the batteries need much better insulation than just one white sticker on the top

19:22yes i know there's circuitry inside the batteries here at the top

19:27but when you have the positive and the negative electrodes so close together with just a white sticker

19:35separating them the slightest drop of juice is going to bridge that connection it's going to short the

19:44battery out now i haven't opened it up so i don't know what level of protection you have inside the

19:50battery

19:52so you may have some shortage protection but just that one little thing does worry me quite a bit

20:00the other thing the batteries themselves though i actually like the concept of the batteries

20:08if you could charge them without having to dismantle the entire device that would be so much better

20:15but again i understand the concept of it it's fully customizable fully changeable

20:21the pods are where the big issue is for me because filling these guys is a very tedious process

20:32i put two mils in each of them and it took me a good few minutes to do each one

20:40it's not a quick process

20:43to fill these up whereas with like your pod kits like i've not got a pod in it now but

20:48the

20:49the little pods you fill up and just slot in they take seconds to fill up this takes a couple

20:56of minutes

20:58per pod to fill up and i'm following the instructions that you gave me unless i did it wrong which

21:05i i

21:05hold my hands up i very possibly could do or could have done

21:12but yeah and the fact that these leak all over a sensitive battery like that

21:21if you know i've just noticed something else as well if i

21:27these pods are going to have to be held the right way up all the time because

21:33the juice is actually leaking out of there i don't know see it all pooling there and if i just

21:39do it

21:39again and then tilt back

21:44there is zero leak proof technology in these pods so i love the concept i really really do love the

21:55concept

21:56the implementation of it there's quite a bit to be desired

22:03you really need to fix the leaking of the pods especially when they leak from the bottom

22:10directly onto the battery that is directly connected in fact just thinking about it

22:18just pushing the pod onto the battery is enough to make the battery flash

22:27so that shows me that there's a connection between positive and negative already that without it needing to be fired

22:37which isn't really the best in fact just me doing that has caused more juice to leak out

22:48so the guy you have a lot of work to do i love the concept i want a device like

22:54this where every little single thing

22:57is customizable that would be great device i just don't believe that this is it

23:06this is not that device way too many issues that need sorting the battery is good you need to sort

23:17out the insulation and the connection points the biggest issue is the pods leak proof technology and

23:23a much easier filling system sorted positive notes

23:31let's make sure i'm getting the right one again right right the positive notes there are some positive notes

23:38it does work the devices do work and look at me being an idiot and building one again there we

23:46go

23:53they do work for having two very small air flows i actually think the airflow is pretty much spot on

24:03for where it needs to be the airflow slightly on the restrictive side but it's open enough that you don't

24:12really notice that restriction

24:21and even despite the filling method on it

24:25no spit back a little bit of popping but no actual spit back and it is vaping nicely i'm i'm

24:33just gonna

24:33go in penny for a pound if the battery blows up the battery blows up but um yeah try the

24:39habibi one

24:47that's the same no spit back tiny bit of popping but this one is now doing the same thing

24:54that little popping noise i'm hoping my noise cancellation on the microphone doesn't cancel it

24:58out but it's a little bit of popping there

25:08yeah

25:09yeah it's kind of firing itself and that has leaked again just like the kayuki one did

25:21possibly slightly worse maybe i don't know slightly better there's not any pulled at the bottom

25:33yeah i do have to give credit where it's due the concept is a good concept it's just very poorly

25:42implemented and i can't get that out now there we go right

25:51that is still popping even though i've took the pot off

25:56okay that yeah the okay i was thinking that the habibi juice might give them more

26:03issue because it's slightly thinner and more watery it actually appears that the one i put the slightly

26:10thicker kayuki juice into is the one that's leaking more

26:19and again just to clarify this is nothing against the juice brand so this is not against habibi or kayuki

26:27this is the device themselves what i'm looking at not the juice

26:35yeah i haven't really got much more i can say about that love the concept but very poorly

26:42actually executed i think that's how i'm going to phrase it and i can't really comment more on than

26:50that for safety reasons i am not going to continue using these devices i don't trust them in their

27:03current farm especially if they're going to leak so much juice directly onto the battery

27:14i've got very little trust for them so i'm actually going to leave them separate

27:18i'm actually just for safety i'm going to bag them back up but i'm going to leave the batteries

27:27away i'm not going to put the batteries in the same bag as everything else i'm going to keep them

27:33separate just to be safe and that is kind of where i'm going to have to leave it
