00:00You had a couple months to think about the loss to Seattle.
00:04And that's what Drake may comes up with last night.
00:08No, not a couple, not a couple months. You had eight months.
00:11You had eight months to study the tape.
00:13You had eight months to, to look over what they do.
00:15You had eight months to study and,
00:17and learn from your mistakes and learn from what you did poorly in the
00:21Superbowl. And granted, that's a tough game to go into, right?
00:26Like I'm not, I'm not saying that's like, you should win that game.
00:30But your longest gain on offense shouldn't be 19 yards.
00:34And that the only play that set you up for a score was a pass interference
00:39call off of a blown coverage, right?
00:42Like that offensive performance, like told me,
00:47Drake may is not ready for the speed of games like this,
00:51of championship level games against championship level defenses.
00:55This is an indictment of what he did. Cause again,
00:58you would think that somebody would spend eight months saying,
01:01I'm going to know everything about these guys backwards and forwards.
01:04I'm going to know where the adjustments are.
01:06I'm going to know where the ball is supposed to go.
01:07So I know how to, how fast this game's going to be.
01:11I'm going to relive every ugly moment of that Superbowl loss.
01:14And when I open against these guys, I'm going to be ready to, to beat them.
01:20Didn't happen.
01:22How about this, Jason, eight quarters of bad ball against the same team.
01:28I mean, like you just said, if you're Mike Rabel going forward,
01:33AFC championship games, big time games that you have to have.
01:38If you're a football team,
01:39how do you have confidence in that guy going into those big games?
01:42Well, I mean, look, I think he's done enough to build confidence,
01:46but the question is, is he a transcendent quarterback?
01:50And the answer is no.
01:51And not that like, he's good enough to get you to the playoffs.
01:54Obviously he did last year, right?
01:56He did some really impressive things last year,
02:00but is he a like game changer?
02:03Is he on a Joe Burrow level?
02:05Is he on a Lamar Jackson level?
02:07Is he on a Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes level?
02:09The answer is no, he wasn't fast enough in this game.
02:12He wasn't, you know, mentally tough enough in this game.
02:16He didn't find the holes and yeah,
02:17he runs every once in a while and he makes a good looking play,
02:20but they're giving you those runs.
02:22They're getting, you know, you know, as a defensive player, okay,
02:25you ran for a first down on the outside, you beat us to the outside.
02:28You know, when we're playing four man rush,
02:31we're going to give that to you.
02:32You know,
02:33like if you think that you can get the ball down the field consistently
02:36against us, try to do that kind of stuff.
02:38It's just not going to work because eventually the field's going to get
02:41smaller and smaller and we're, and we're going to,
02:43we're going to beat you on that kind of stuff.
02:45So yeah, I just, look,
02:48I know that the one kid dropped the pass, right?
02:51That's a bad drop.
02:52And if he dropped, if he catches that ball, maybe it's a,
02:55it's a different game.
02:56So one play is really, really important,
02:58but the overall performance of Drake may was like, you know,
03:04I mean, forget that, you know, like it's a brain dead heaver throw on the,
03:08on the interception, everybody knows that's a horrible play.
03:10You don't have to like, you don't need to discuss that one,
03:14you know, ad infinitum.
03:15The, you know, the other throw, you know, on the jump ball,
03:19that's a bad throw too when you're in coverage.
03:21And the other interception was a bad ball throw too.
03:24But I mean,
03:25like all three of them are bad ball throws, but again,
03:28are you ready for the speed of how this game is supposed to go?
