00:13The last interception, obviously, is the one everybody's talking about.
00:17New England drove all the way to Seattle 16 with under 30 seconds left.
00:23All they needed was a field goal to tie, and he threw an interception in the end zone.
00:27But I think, you know, how much of this loss is directly on Drake May?
00:31Because I think you can kind of pin it basically all on him.
00:35If we were doing a blame pie, it'd be 100%.

00:45Again, look at the time of possession.
00:48They had three turnovers that completely canceled out all the time of possession.
00:53They only scored 10 points the entire game.
00:56And when you had an opportunity to erase everything that happened before that, you only magnified that by throwing the
01:03dumbest pass of the game as your last pass of the game.
01:06If you are in the viewing public and you had any negative comments about Drake May, if you were not
01:14convinced last year, even though he made it to the Super Bowl, that they had the easiest schedule.
01:19If you're one of these people going, well, they had the easiest schedule in the league, and this is why
01:24they got to this point, and then C.J. Stroud threw 50 interceptions in the game against them.
01:28Just like, and then Bo Nix got hurt against them.
01:33If you're that guy, this game was tailor-made for you.
01:38Because if I remember correctly, the last two games Drake May has played Seattle, he's thrown five interceptions.
01:44Maybe six.

01:45Because he had a multi-interception game in the Super Bowl, and then he came right back in the first
01:51game against the last team he saw and threw three more interceptions, fresh off the line.
01:55So I, if you have any issues with Drake May, if you don't think he's the guy, if you thought
02:02all last year was a fugazi, okay, it was a lab-made diamond, they ain't got this from Africa.
02:09But he did, this, this is all just tailor-made for you, because that was, that was bad.
02:14That was bad.
02:15And so would you say, like, are we overreacting because it's week one against this really good defense, or would
02:21you say that this is maybe an issue, like a cause for concern for Drake May?
02:25Because as I have up here on the screen for all of the audio listeners, Drake May in his last
02:30five games, a 60.8% completion percentage.
02:33He has 1,000 yards, but seven touchdowns and seven picks with five in the fourth quarter and seven fumbles.
02:40It's not good.
02:42So now here's the-
02:43Against really good defenses, by the way.
02:45But to win the Super Bowl, you got to probably beat three really good defenses, which is why they're not
02:52Super Bowl champions.
02:54And so, to me, if you're going to have Drake May be the guy, and I think he still is
02:59the guy, I'm not, you know, I'm not bailing water on the boat yet.
03:03But we've got to actually look at what's happening with this offense.
03:07Because some of these passes, it's almost as if he thought A.J. Brown was still out there.
03:12Some of these passes are if I have no real understanding of the guys who I'm working with, so I'm
03:18just going to put it up there.
03:19And I wish I could say that was more preseason, lack of preseason, but these are the guys he was
03:24in the Super Bowl with.
03:25Right.
03:26The guys that were left out there were the guys he was in the Super Bowl with.
03:29So, if you have stock on Drake May, a lot of people might be selling come afternoon, close of the
03:37market, and a lot of people might be buying because you're buying low.
03:42So, you tell me what you think.
03:45I mean, after tonight's game, after the Super Bowl, in conjunction with the playoff run he had, which was not
03:51very convincing, and then you start that off tonight's game with that.
03:55What do you think? What's your takeaway from Drake May?
03:58I have always been a really big Drake.
04:00Like, coming out of the draft, I thought he was going to be a really good quarterback in this league
04:05just because of the intangibles that he had.
04:07And he kind of put them all together last year on full display.
04:10But as we got into, again, we have to remember, last year was his second full season as an NFL
04:16quarterback, right?
04:17He's a young quarterback.
04:19But there's no excuse.
04:21When you go into the playoffs, and yes, they did get to the Super Bowl, but you can go to
04:25each one of those games and say the defense bailed him out multiple times.
04:28He had a terrible postseason.
04:30Just look at the last five games.
04:32That's the postseason.
04:33We're including the postseason and week one.
04:36If you see it over the span of, okay, maybe, oh, the last two games he's been pretty bad, I
04:41wouldn't put a lot of stock into it.
04:43But when you do it against some of the teams that you are going to have to beat in the
04:47playoffs, not just last year, but this year, and maybe for the next few years, all these really elite defenses
04:53that schemed all week for you in a one-game elimination scenario, and you couldn't do it, and you looked
04:59really, really bad, and you didn't figure it out.
05:01Now, if he would have went the first playoff game against the Chargers and been like, bad, I'd be like,
05:06okay, let's see how he does the next one.
05:08Well, he didn't look good in that one either.
05:09Okay, let's see how he does.
05:10He has not improved.
05:13So I'm not seeing him learn from his mistakes.
05:16If I, like, you go back to some of these elite quarterbacks, John, you go back to the Peyton Mannings,
05:21the Tom Brady's, the Aaron Rodgers, all these top quarterbacks of all time, the Steve Youngs, Joe Montana's, Dan Marino's
05:28even.
05:29They learned from some of those mistakes, right?
05:31They, and not just that, not just that, John, but they had that incentive, that fire in their heart.
05:38They're like, week one against the team that just eliminated me?
05:41Yeah.
05:41I'm coming out guns blazing.
05:43I am not making any mistakes.
05:44I'm not trying to put these guys in the dirt.
05:46And instead, I saw the same type of nervousness, the same type of bad decision-making that I saw in
05:54the playoffs and in the Super Bowl against the same,
05:57if not a little bit of a worse defense without some of their guys, he'd look the same or even
06:02worse.
