00:00This was a pretty good football game last night.
00:02There was a bonehead throw in this ball game,
00:05but I thought the two quarterbacks did a hell of a job in this game.
00:08Drake May was 24-31 for 321, two TDs and a touchdown,
00:12and Williams was 22-33 for 308 and two TDs.
00:17Man, the guy was absolutely great.
00:19He's been really great, Caleb Williams, for the last two weeks here,
00:22but no question about it.
00:24That was a big-time win for the Bears.
00:26Are the Bears the best team in the NFC?
00:30You know, my guys last week were giving me grief
00:32about having the Bears in the top five.
00:35Well, I'll tell you what, that was a hell of a performance last night.
00:38Ben Johnson really had a chance to sit back with both quarterbacks
00:42and watch both quarterbacks go after one another.
00:45It was a pretty damn good display last night.
00:48Yeah, yeah, it felt like it was a little bit back and forth there for a while,
00:51and, you know, just watching Drake May play, I mean, he's an outstanding player.
00:57It's very hard to bottle him up.
01:01You know, you only rush four, and he finds a way if he doesn't see anything down the field
01:05to find an open gap and, you know, skirt on through.
01:08And then I think what's really impressive is how he can find these little outlets
01:13and these dumps where they're still running vertical for catch-and-run opportunities.
01:17I think they had a number of those tonight.
01:19So it's really effective.
01:21You can tell he's kind of caught his rhythm now this part of the season
01:26and probably continue to do that.
01:28And Caleb, it was good to get him now two weeks in a row, finding some open receivers.
01:34And, you know, I think I always feel more comfortable as a play caller
01:38when we get a full week of practice so that I can see all these plays come to life
01:42and practice and, you know, we can talk through them a little bit more.
01:46So for a short week, which we really haven't had many of since I've been here together,
01:52I thought he did a great job.
01:55This guy's my favorite coach in the NFL right now.
01:58Like, he's a softer version of a Mike Ditka.
02:01You know, he's got great energy, and this guy is real good at the podium.
02:05I like how complimentary he is towards the other players, too, in the league.
02:08And I really do dig this guy.
02:10And he mentioned Caleb Williams.
02:11Caleb Williams getting back on the field the last two weeks has been sensational.
02:14And getting him out there and getting him there is important.
02:19Caleb also talked about this 5-2 start.
02:21We're in a good spot, obviously.
02:23Long season.
02:24And we got guys that go down.
02:26We got guys that come back off injuries, all of that.
02:29So, like I said, long season.
02:32Feel good going into this extended period before this next game.
02:35Be able to get ample amount of time to rest.
02:38Ample amount of time to focus on these next guys and be able to get exactly where we need to
02:45be as a team.
02:48Like Denzel Washington there, right?
02:50I mean, kids up there looking dope in that suit.
02:53I dig it, man.
02:54And now we have the problem child.
02:57I like it when guys get a nickname.
02:59I like it when they get dubbed this.
03:00And Luther Burden, man.
03:03How do you like being called the problem child?
03:06Everyone's calling you the problem child lately.
03:08What does that mean to you?
03:10I think it is.
03:11When I get the ball, it's going to be a problem.
03:16Especially with too much space.
03:18When I get the ball, it's going to be a problem.
03:22It's not bad.
03:24Did you have another one in my first time?
03:27No, I mean, I just, you know, let my teammates come up with what they look.
03:32Well, let's hang in there a little bit there because the kid, that's probably his best game since he's been
03:36a Chicago Bear.
03:38The problem child, they do dig it, though.
03:40Speaking of problems, though, on the other end, Drake May, as I said, man, he was 24-31.
03:463-21 in the ball game.
03:48Had 26 yards rushing in the game.
03:51You see that one number down there, though?
03:53Jimmy Johnson used to always tell us.
03:54You can make tremendous plays in a ball game.
03:57But don't make the bonehead play.
04:00And there was a Drake May bonehead play last night.
04:04It definitely was a huge point in the game.
04:06You know, I just, gosh, just, it's those plays, you know, I talk about it all the time.
04:12You know, those plays that can swing the game, can impact the game.
04:15And that was definitely one of them right there.
04:17You know, I wish to definitely have that one back in a lot of plays.
04:20But I give credit to them.
04:21They had a good plan on a short week, and they got after us.
04:25And we got, you know, two chances with the ball back to go down and score and take the lead.
04:29And we got to go through our park.
04:31And we just, you know, can't, you know, have penalties.
04:34And me not, you know, operating at, you know, at the high level to kind of move the chains and
04:40get going.
04:40And especially after the missed duel, we got a three and out, a bad three and out.
04:44So.
04:47Guys, I'm going to help this kid out at the mic.
04:49You know what you give the media?
04:50You give them shih tzu.
04:51You know what shih tzu is?
04:52It's a little dog.
04:53You don't give them anything, man.
04:55Just get up there and tell them I made a bad play and I want to go home.
04:59I mean, the kid was really great in the game.
05:01But you got to get away from those bad plays in the game.
05:04And Mike Vrabel knows it.
05:06I mean, he gave us a chance.
05:07He competed.
05:08And I know he'd like to have that throwback to Eli.
05:11But, you know, I thought he really competed.
05:14And whether that was running around and scrambling and finding, you know, good places to go with football.
05:24And he gave us a chance.
05:25You know, I know he'd like to have that one back.
05:26And he'll learn from it like he always does.
05:29And, you know, I'm glad he's ours.
05:33All right, man.
05:33No question about it here, man.
05:35He made a bad play here, bud.
05:37Now, here we go to the excuse machine.
05:40You know the reader on the sidelines?
05:41And he knows everybody's focusing on A.J. Owens.
05:48I'm a bet.
05:49I understand how the game go.
05:50By the way, call him A.J. Owens.
05:51It's just kind of how the game is.
05:52For a reason.
05:53You know, I know what type of player I am.
05:56And I know that that's always the case.
05:58You know, every time I lined up, you know, I get a lot of attention.
06:01So, teams try to take me away.
06:03You got feet for hands.
06:04Opportunities for other guys to make plays and soften that up for me.
06:07And then whenever I get my shots, you know, I got to make sure.
06:10Come on, man.
06:11You got to start making some plays, man.
06:12It's one of the reasons why they brought you up there with that famous New England Patriots carpet in your
06:16room.
