Is a Democratic civil war brewing in Pennsylvania? In this explosive CNN interview, PA Democratic Congressman Chris Deluzio doesn't hold back his frustration with Senator John Fetterman.
Deluzio calls out Fetterman for abandoning competitive Democratic races and instead spending his time on "right-wing media bashing the Democratic Party." Pointing to Fetterman's shifting political stances and his "cheerleading" of foreign wars, Deluzio even teases a potential 2028 primary challenge to unseat the controversial Senator.

00:00Oh, Congressman, what are you hearing right now from your constituents about Senator Fetterman?
00:06My constituents and folks all over Pennsylvania are pretty frustrated with John Fetterman.
00:10They're pretty disappointed.
00:12I've been all over, not just my district of Pennsylvania, trying to help us flip the most competitive congressional races.
00:18And John Fetterman is nowhere to be found.
00:20And frankly, folks don't want him on the trail.
00:23He's spending his time, frankly, going on right wing media to bash the Democrats.
00:29It comes down to, for me, Jake, a sense of duty and whether you have one on the job.
00:34And increasingly, it looks like John Fetterman just doesn't.
00:37It's a serious job to be a senator.
00:39You got to show up.
00:40You got to vote.
00:41You got to take meetings.
00:42These are the basics of the job that folks expect you to do.
00:47What are the odds that you challenge Fetterman in a Democratic Senate primary in 2028?
00:55Look, I've gotten a lot of encouragement to do it.
00:58I'll make that decision when the time comes, because right now we have competitive races to win.
01:03My own races across Pennsylvania to affect the control of Congress.
01:07That's what I'm focused on.
01:08That is the most important thing we can do.
01:10I'll decide my future after that.
01:12But I'll say this.
01:13My ambition is far bigger than any one job.
01:16It's our country to be different, our government to be different, for the American dream to once again be real
01:21for hardworking people.
01:22And that matters to me more than any one job that I might have in this.
01:26What are the frustrations that you are hearing from voters about Senator Fetterman?
01:33Because there is polling suggesting that he's very popular with Republicans in Pennsylvania, just not with Democrats.
01:42Yeah, look, he's spending his time on right-wing media bashing the Democratic Party.
01:46Remember, this is a guy who campaigned to be a strong, strident, populist Democrat who sought a DSA endorsement earlier
01:54in his career.
01:54And we're seeing him, and this one really frustrates me, cheerlead the Iran war.
01:59I'm a veteran of the war in Iraq.
02:00I don't want to see another generation of veterans being sent needlessly to risk their lives, recklessly in my opinion.
02:08John Fetterman has been cheerleading this war.
02:10I could go on and on, but at its core, the frustrations I hear, and I heard a lot of
02:14them on Labor Day from union workers in Pittsburgh,
02:17they just don't think this guy wants to do the job and show up and work and doesn't have the
02:20respect for the office that he occupies.
02:23The United States senator has a pretty special job that one could have and doesn't seem like he wants to
02:27meet the duty required of him.
